Polished Gem

The night before I received a message informing me about a filly who I was going to work with.

She had apparently been turned to stone by some kind of cockatris a long time ago.

This was definitely above my pay grade.

They had decided to call her Sunstone.

She was a none crystal unicorn and roughly twelve to fourteen years old.

There is a lot of stuff I would have to do for her.

It was a good morning but I knew that it would not stay that way.

As I walked into the orphanage I noticed that the children were laughing at the new filly's odd behavior.

It did not seem to be mean spirited at least.

One of the caretakers had apparently explained to them her situation and what they seemed to think was funny was how she was eating.

She had completely ignored the eating utensils and had burned her mouth with the hot foods.

When I saw this I grabbed a glass of juice and helped her with it.

It looked like she was quickly regained her motor functions since last night.

This was apparent from her now being able to walk around when last night she couldn't even crawl.

Purhaps this job will be easier than I expected.

Sunstone

I saw darkness again.

I continued to see darkness until I heard more sounds.

The light returned and I was surrounded by others like the ones from before.

They were smaller and seemed to want my attention.

I stood up and looked at that them.

I tried making sound of my own but they reacted in a strange way.

I wonder what is wrong.

I realized that one of them smelled really nice so I got closer and started to sniff them.

Then two big ones appeared and started to make noise.

One of them came to me and had me stay still while the other small ones went with the other.

When the others left the remaining big one started to comb my hair while making sound.

They were warm and friendly.

Eventually they took me to where the other small ones were.

I was placed in front of something warm that smelled good.

When I realized that I was supposed to eat it I was even happier.

Then I realized that it was hot.

Way to hot for me.

I was not sure what to do when all of the sudden a big one helped me drink something.

She seemed nice.

Spell Breaker

My wife Sapphire Polish and I had been trying to have trouble with having a child.

We had been considering adoption but were having trouble figuring out who to adopt.

It really is hard to choose.

We wanted to pick a child who was unlikely to be adopted on their own.

In the past Sunstone would have been a prime example of this.

But these days Equestria and the Crystal Empire are closer than ever.

We would not be surprised if she was moved to an orphanage in Equestria.

But at the same time this may not happen for the exact same reason..
