It was a nice and sunny day, nice enough for a picnic. Not a cloud was in the sky except for one, said cloud was inhabited by Rainbow "Danger" Dash, who was resting after a long day of training with the Wonderbolts.
After About two hours Rainbow got up from her resting cloud and do her usual stretching before flying off once more to The Tough Tavern, said Tavern used to only allow the toughest ponies to enter but after a visit from by by far the toughest pony ever said Tavern now allows all to enter.
Rainbow would land in front of the bouncer who seemed to be the same one from the last time she was here.
"Hey Rainbow, Welcome to the Tough Tavern. How've ya been?" The bouncer says in a gruff voice.
"I'm good, figured I'd come by and hang out here like last time." Rainbow said.
"Heh come on in, everyone's welcome at the Tough Tavern." The bouncer says as he steps aside.
Rainbow walks into the Tavern and sees a lot of flyers for a competition to face off against a "Papillon Blue" for a chance to win a thousand bits, she then heads to the bar and orders a glass of water.
Once the barkeep gave rainbow her water she asks her, "Hey uh, this Papillon Blue, the bouncer says she owns this place right? You think I can take her on in that competition?"
The barkeep gives rainbow a shocked look before saying,"Well I dunno about that miss, I hear she's the champion of Extreme Bear Wrestling or E.B.W. for short. Rumor has it that she's undefeated."
"E.B.W.!? Whoa I'm a huge fan of E.B.W. ! You mean that's what she does!? So cool!" Rainbow Dash says in an excited manner.
"Um easy there, ma'am we don't want you to break anything again." The barkeep said.
"Oh uh sorry... , Where does the competition take place? I wanna show this Papillon Blue how awesome I am, and maybe get an autograph too!" Rainbow said.
A griffin would come up to her and say, "Ah hear it's takin' place in Manehattan this year. The manager running it says it's free ta enter when I went and asked 'im"
"Really!, Well I gotta dash, see you guys tomorrow!" With that said rainbow flys right out the door.
On her way to Manehattan,Rainbow wondered what Papillon Blue would be like, maybe she's all boastful and loud or mysterious and cool, just thinking about it made Rainbow excited.
(Meanwhile in Manehattan.)
"This'll be your first match against a pony so I need you at your best ok "Blue" ? A swave looking stallion says to a masked mare, said mare was Papillon Blue herself, she wore a light blue leotard with white streaks on it, her pink mane was tied back with a white ribbon and she had a light blue mask which hides her identity.
"Yeah, I know... I'm really nervous but I shouldn't let that get to me. The crowd is expecting a good fight regardless of who wins." Papillon Blue says in really familiar whispery voice.
"Exactly my good friend, now go train, we've got word that a new challenger is on their way, they signed up ahead of time too." The stallion, who was Papillon Blue's manager and couch says.
"Oh my..." Was all Papillon Blue says before she leaves to train.
(Back with Rainbow)
Once rainbow landed in Manehattan she found where the competition was thanks to the advertisements all over the city, after following them she eventually finds the manager himself.
"Hey there little lady, here to sign up for our competition?" He says.
"Heck yeah! " Rainbow says with gusto.
"Cool just put your name down and we'll be all set." The manager says as he holds out a clipboard.
Rainbow looks at the clipboard and saw that Spitfire was signed up before her, so she signs below Spitfire's name and is then directed inside by the manager who let's her watch all the matches that will come before her.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN MARES AND STALLIONS, WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE EXTREME BEAR WRESTLING FRIST EVER PONY WRESTLING COMPETITION!!!!" The manager says into a microphone.
The crowd that gathered roared in excitement even rainbow dash was cheering as well.
"FOR OUR FIRST MATCH, WE HAVE FROM PONYVILLE, MR. BULK BISEPS!!!" the manager says as a huge buffed out white pegasus jumps into the stage.
"YEEEEAH!" Bulk Biseps yells out as he prepares himself.
"ALRIGHTY THEN EVERYONE GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO THE CHAMPION OF EXTREME BEAR WRESTLING HERSELF THE LEGENDARY PAPILLON BLUE!" the manager says as Papillon Blue calmly flys into the ring , almost as if she were angel descending from the heavens.
Rainbow could of sworn that said mare looked awfully familiar but couldn't put her hoof on it. But she put that thought out of her head once the bell rang.
Bulk would charge at Papillon Blue like a wild animal but she calmly dodges him then immediately knocks him down with a swift kick to his back, not even a minute later he was pinned and defeated.
"holy hay, she's good." Rainbow thought in her head.
"SEE THAT FOLKS THAT'S OUR CHAMPION!" The manager says as Papillon Blue bows and the crowd goes wild.
After a few more matches all of which Papillon Blue won, it was now Rainbow Dashes turn, and to be honest seeing the Captain of the Wonderbolts herself get humbled by Papillon Blue made Rainbow nervous but She's Rainbow "Danger " Dash nothing scares her right?
Rainbow would shake off her nerves then wait for her introduction.
"AND NOW THE FINAL MATCH FOR THE DAY! HAILING ALL THE WAY FROM PONYVILLE BUT BORN IN CLOUDSDALE, RAINBOW "DANGER" DASH!" the manager says as rainbow flys into the ring at her usual speed.
The crowd cheered and rainbow couldn't help but showboat a bit.
"NOW IT'S TIME ONCE AGAIN, YOU KNOW HER, YOU LOVE HER, IT'S PAPILLON BLUE!" the manager says as Papillon Blue once again calmly flys into the a determined look on her face.
Once rainbow saw her she was floored, she suddenly realized just who she was facing now that she has a closer look at Papillon Blue.
"Wait a sec... F-fluttershy!?" Rainbow says in shock.
Papillon Blue nods then says, "how else do I pay for my animals food and shelter,oh and please rainbow don't tell anyone."
Rainbow would stare for a good then say "ok pinkie promise, just so you know I'm not going easy on you."
Papillon Blue smiles then says "I figured you'd say that."
Rainbow nods then says "here I come Papillon Blue!" Then flys at her hoof out ready to get the first attack.
Papillon Blue simply smiles once more before stopping rainbow cold in her tracks by grabbing her hoof while she's in midflight then using the momentum she counters rainbow then toss her aside.
Rainbow shakes off her daze then trys to attack a bit higher about as high as a brown bear would stand, exactly enough hight for Papillon Blue to do her signature move, she would suddenly fly faster than rainbow could react to and get right behind her then she does a flying dropkick to incapacitate her wings, but she wasn't done, she then grabs one of rainbow's hind legs then pulls it back the other way.
Rainbow cry's out and trys to counter but was met with a swift four legged stomp by Papillon Blue to incapacitate her legs, rainbow was now unable to move, then Papillon Blue Finishes her with her legendary neck twister technique Which knocks Rainbow out cold. Papillon Blue then pins rainbow and the fight was over.
(An hour after the fight)
"Uggggh my head... " Rainbow says as she gets up.
"Whoa easy there kiddo, you got beat really bad." the manager says once rainbow finally recovered.
"aww man I lost? heh at least I didn't go easy..." Rainbow Dash said.
"Hey uh Rainbow right, Papillon Blue wanted to speak to ya." the manager said, he them leads rainbow to Papillon Blue's dressing room. "Go on, I'll leave ya two alone" the manager then leaves.
Rainbow nervously opens the door to see Papillon Blue looking at a mirror adjusting her mask to take it off.
"Hey uh... Papillon Blue." Rainbow said.
"Oh um sorry.." Papillon Blue turns around, she had a rather gentle smile. " Oh hello Rainbow."
"So... Papillon Blue... no Fluttershy, how long have you been doing this?" Rainbow Dash asked her.
Papillon Blue chuckled and said "oh not long. I do many different odd jobs like this. Just so I can take care of my animal friends."
"Yeah, .... Gotta admit you're good, like really good. You beat me in ten seconds flat! Heh couldn't help myself there." Rainbow said.
Papillon Blue removes her mask revealing the kind animal caretaker Fluttershy beneath. "You remember the request I asked of you right? If our friends knew about this I wouldn't know what to do."
"What? Aww man, ok I won't tell them. C'mon Flutters, Let's go home." Rainbow said.
"Ok. Um just let me tell my manager and I'll be right with you." Fluttershy says as she goes to find the manager.
"Heh some day huh..." Rainbow dash wonders aloud.
