My Little Pokémon

Daring battle against an Ancient Pokemon

Equestria. Out on an island. Nightfall.

Currently, on an island, Ash and Rainbow Dash were having a training session. Both Trainers had similar goals. One wanted to beat Leon and come out on top as the World's Strongest Trainer while the other was aiming to become the first-ever Equestria Champion. They both boosted each other with their similar goals and would constantly train.

"Alright, Dragonite! Dragon Claw!"

"Dragonite!"

"Braviary, use Steel Wing!"

"Braviary!" Dragonite and Braviary approached each other. The two Flying-Types clashed Dragon Claw and Steel Wing against each other, resulting in the grass being rustled via an erupting shockwave. They looked each other in the eyes before separating.

Braviary flew back in, attacking Dragonite's head, only for the Dragon Pokemon to duck. Upon ducking, Dragonite swung her claw upwards, delivering a hit that sent the Valiant Pokemon higher up. Braviary staggered from that, only to later then have Braviary recover immediately, using his downward momentum to hit Dragonite with an overhead wing swing, returning the favour.

"Alright, take a pause you two!" Ash cried out as they both halted. They had been at this for a while and now was the best time to take a break. "Great work, Dragonite."

"You too, Braviary. I think we did better than last time." She flew over, giving a hoof bump to the Valiant Pokemon as Braviary used his talon.

"You haven't been using Rainbow-Braviary as often, Rainbow Dash," Ash said. "I rarely see you use it now that I think about it."

"Yeah. Ever since that whole thing with the Canterlot Tournament, we stuck with our promise to not use Rainbow-Braviary that much. Way too bad for my health. We only get to use so little and for about 3 minutes or so."

"Braviary!"

"We can take on anyone without needing to resort to it. But it's kind of a bummer though..." She then sighed. "Rainbow-Braviary's so cool. Syncing up with him just gets the blood pumping in all the right ways!" She raised her hooves, emphasizing her love for the Bond Phenomenon. "Shame it's dangerous. How'd you and Greninja get it down pat, Ash?"

"Me and Greninja mastered it the same way you guys did. By understanding each other." Ash looked to the sky, thinking of his experiences with Ash-Greninja. You don't have to be afraid of the Bond Phenomenon, you guys."

"So all we gotta do is just keep doing what we do and it'll work for us?" Rainbow Dash questioned, hoping she was understanding it correctly.

"It's all about your bond. It's already super high, isn't it? You just gotta take it easy even if you've got crazy power." Ash advised. "Can't let it beat you two out, eh"?

"Uh...I think I get it." Rainbow Dash nodded with a slight bit of uncertainty. She would take Ash's advice and yet she still felt some sense of danger with Rainbow-Braviary. Passing out like that was a frightening experience for the pegasus and Braviary certainly wouldn't want her to go through that again.

Afterwards, they all sat down to have some lunch to eat before they could continue with their training. All their favourites were right here to consume. They sat near a lake located on this island, setting everything up for an exciting consumption on this sunny day.

But during their lunch with their Pokemon messing around, they saw something fly through the air. Or rather someone. A family pegasus could be seen hurling through the air.

Daring Do.

"Hm? Mmmm-mmm?!" Rainbow Dash almost choked on her food before downing some cider.

"Oh. hey. Isn't that..." Ash spoke before being cut off by Rainbow Dash.

"Daring Do!" Rainbow Dash bellowed, hovering for a brief moment before descending. "She's here too?" A surprise to be sure. But a welcome surprise from one of Rainbow Dash's friends. And currently, alongside Daring Do was someone else. A Pokemon that appeared to be a Sigilyph.

Both of them recovered midair with Daring Do holding onto her hat. She felt somewhat dazed and perplexed, hitting her head before regaining proper balance.

"Lyph? Sigilyph!" The first to notice their presence was Sigilyph. The Avianoid Pokemon's cries soon alerted Daring Do, turning to where it was also facing.

"Hm? Oh, wait a second..." She squinted before recognizing the familiar faces below. With a smile on her face, both Daring Do and Sigilyph soared towards the group. "Rainbow Dash! And...is that who I think it is?"

"Didn't think I'd see you." Rainbow Dash zoomed over. "Been a while, hasn't it?"

"Mmm. Has been a bit since we've met up. But you've been keeping up with my adventures, either way, right?"

"Oh, I sure have!" Rainbow Dash winked. "Never miss a single one. Gret that you added Sigilyph over there to your stories."

"Of course. Sigilyph makes things way more exciting with what we bump into. Right, partner?"

"Sigilyph!"

"And you..." Daring Do shifted her head to the side, gazing at Ash and Pikachu. "You two...you're actually Ash Ketchum! And Pikachu!" The adventure flew over to her fellow adventures in excitement. "I get to meet you two for the first time!"

"Yeah. What's up? Rainbow Dash told us a lot about you. Great to meet ya, Daring."

"Pika-Pikachu."

"Great to meet you too!" Out of pure excitement, Daring Do shook Ash's hand by raising it. "I've been trying to meet and chat with you for a while now. But a lot has happened that's steered me away from doing that. Now I get that chance. I'm a big fan."

"Big fan? Big fan?!" Rainbow Dash repeated two times before gasping. "Of them?!"

"You heard it right, Rainbow Dash." Her fellow pegasus turned to her. "I learned about these two and their adventures when it started spreading. It started at Ponyville when I heard about Ash sharing stories about all of the adventures he and Pikachu had over different regions, especially the ones that involves Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. Then I thought about something...these adventures are just as exciting as the ones I go on!"

"Oh, true-true." Rainbow Dash nodded in agreement.

"Right? Once I heard what was told, I couldn't help but love it all and I got pretty addicted to remembering it all. I usually only read stories about fictional adventures. It's what inspired me to get out there. But having a fellow adventurer who gets around is right up my alley. Ash. Pikachu. You remind me of the idols that inspired me to start adventuring."

"Great to hear it. Adventuring what's me and Pikachu do best. It's an awesome feeling all around."

"Pikachu."

"You should write your own book about your adventures. How does that sound?!" She got closer to him.

"My own book? Uhh...That'd take a super long time, wouldn't it?" Ash pondered. "I'd start from Kanto and go all the way to right now...But it would be fun to read."

"It sure would be fun to read. I write stories of my adventures and yours as so fun that I'd love to read about them instead of just the word of mouth. Just a suggestion." The adventurer shrugged. "But mainly because I wanna collect a whole series of it."

"Oh wow..." Rainbow Dash was amazed by what she was seeing and hearing. Usually, she would be the one expressing how she was inspired by Daring Do and loved her adventures. But now, Daring Do was the one doing exactly that but in front of Ash and Pikachu.

"Say, Ash! Pikachu! How would you like to be in one of my books? You'd make a great cameo there and I know it's gonna gain even bigger traction for my readers and bring in new readers?"

"Huh. That sounds pretty fun actually!" Ash grinned as he had never been in a book before. But he was mainly drawn to the adventure part of it.

"Say, uh, what were you doing out here by the way?" Rainbow Dash intervened. "You and Sigilyph started spinning around like crazy up there.

"Oh, right. You see...I was searching for a certain Pokemon that I learned about recently." She leaned in with Ash, Rainbow Dash and their Pokemon doing the same. "Showed up here and it's a special kind of Braviary."

"A special kind of Braviary?" The duo repeated.

"Check it out." And luckily, Daring Do had information about this special Braviary in her Pokedex, which she had taken out of her saddlebag. The dex had been opened, going straight for the most recent entry. "It's a regional one to boot."

Ash and Rainbow plus their Pokemon locked onto the dex with their eyes fixated on their screen. Right there, they had seen a Regional Braviary for the first time.

"Braviary. Hisuian Variant. The Battle Cry Pokemon. Screaming a bloodcurdling battle cry, this huge and ferocious bird Pokémon goes out on the hunt. It blasts lakes with shock waves, then scoops up any prey that float to the water’s surface."

"It's another Hisui Pokemon!" Ash gasped as he already knew of one Hisui Pokemon. Hisuian Zorua, which belonged to the Twilight Sparkle of the Human World. Another one had shown up in the current day. This time in Equestria. "So it must've come from a Time Leak."

"Pika."

"Braviary..." Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash's Braviary couldn't help but stare. This was certainly the first time he's seen or even heard of a regional counterpart to his species.

"Time Leak?" Daring Do repeated. "Is that what that thing was? I thought it was just a smaller gateway."

"Nah. That Braviary's from the past and it's a lost form too. It travelled through time." Ash explained before then realizing that another Time Leak was present here in Equestria. "Wait...the Time Leak came here too?"

"Oh! That's way better than just a regional variant!" Daring Do was elated by this. "Not only is it a regional form, but it's from the past too? I made the right choice aiming to catch it!"

"Daring. Where'd you find that Time Leak?"

"Just near where that Braviary was. Knocked me and Sigilyph back when we least expected it." The adventurer aimed her hoof to the north. Right where she and Sigilyph were first seen at.

"We get to see another Hisuian Pokemon, buddy." Ash looked at Pikachu as was reasonably hyped for this. Hisuian Variants are essentially extinct in the modern-day. These time leaks were the only way for them to be seen once more.

"This way!" Daring Do, along with Sigilyph, led them to where she had previously been tossed by the Battle Cry Pokemon before it could get too far. Not only that, but it was another Time Leak for Ash to report to Professor Oak.

North of the island.

Arriving at the north part of the island, there it was. The Time Leak. Another one had found its way instead of just the Pokemon World and Human World. Ash held out his Rotomphone, sharing it with Professor Oak. As for Hisuian Braviary, to find this Pokemon, they would need aerial coverage.

Thankfully, Rainbow Dash and Daring Do were already well equipped for that. Ash had sent out his Dragonite to cover the
skies as well just to find this Pokemon from the past. Moving further through the island granted them the sight of other Pokemon roaming around. Joining them was Rainbow Dash's Braviary after his curiosity about his regional counterpart had been fully grabbed.

"Hey, Daring Do. one of your books I read involved the invasion. You were doing all of that when it was going on?" Rainbow Dash commented while flying side by side with her.

"Sure was. I didn't think an invasion would happen just out of anywhere." She chuckled. "But honestly, every book you've read so far might not be everything I have to offer."

"It's not?" Rainbow Dash jerked back. "What do you mean?"

"Ever since we crossed over with the Pokemon World, a lot has happened" She started rambling, sharing stories that have not yet been written and published by her. I've been getting into different adventures and wild situations because of it, but unlike the others, I barely get a break. That invasion lasted from dusk till dawn, plus the Pokemon I've been running into take me days or even weeks to handle. It's ridiculous."

"Yeah...It's not easy." Rainbow Dash nodded in agreement. "So, you're saying that there's still some stories you haven't shared yet? That just makes me excited!"

"I'll be publishing them out when I get the time. I just got a bit too addicted to searching for Pokemon." She chuckled, admitting to her own gravitation towards the Strange and Wonderful Creatures. "I should just take a break from it for a bit. But that sort of makes me want to do it constantly since Ash and Pikachu are always on adventures."

"Oh yeah. That's true." Rainbow Dash agreed as she and Daring Do turned to face Ash and Pikachu who were on the back of Dragonite.

"Mm. Before our worlds crossed over, those two have been on adventures across various regions non-stop. The same even goes for our world now with what they do. Wish I had that endurance, honestly. Then I'd probably publish every one or two ays." She playfully laughed. "But check out this island. Look like anything?"

"Hm?" Rainbow Dash lowered her head, wondering if she could spot whatever Daring Do was getting at. "I don't see it..."

"You didn't notice when getting here. That makes sense. It doesn't have a name yet anyway. You see...this whole island's shaped like the Psychic-Type symbol." She revealed as once Rainbow Dash took a closer look, she could see it.

The massive mass of grass resembled the rounded diamond eye that the outside of the symbol owned with all of the trees and plantlife perfectly covered the diamond shape without deviating for once to even try and throw off the theming of the island.

And smack-dab in the middle, surrounded by a large lake, a circular hill was the representation of the iris. Indeed, it did mimic the Psychic-Type symbol. Speaking of the middle, much like what the Pokedex said about Hisuian Braviary sending shockwaves onto lakes, the same thing was happening there.

The group felt and witnessed a Psychic shockwave that alerted them. The lake ripped from the purple lights that flared with small sparkles added onto them. Once they descended, flying past the massive trees, they had spotted the Pokemon of the hour.

Hisuian Braviary.

"There it is!" Ash uttered. "Awesome..."

"Pikachu...."

"That's the Pokemon I've been looking for alright." Daring Do grinned as she would have another go at trying to catch Hisuian Braviary.

"Bra? Braviary!" The Battle Cry Pokemon bellowed into the air with a mighty caw that rustled the trees and the lake, causing some ripples. Ash hopped off of Dragonite, holding onto his hat from the shockwave that the Hisuian Braviary managed to form. Dragonite was promptly returned after helping find this Braviary.

"It's way cooler when seeing it this close!" Rainbow Dash's eyes shot up. "I can't believe this form doesn't exist in the present day."

"It does now. Hey, Braviary! You caught us off guard back there, but not this time. Now it's time for round 2!" It was clear that Daring Do would initiate a battle with Hisuian Braviary. A second one to be exact.

"Sigilyph!"

"Braviary!" Braviary gladly accepted the challenge, facing off against Daring Do once more.

"Let's make it a better performance. Sigilyph! Use Ice Beam!"

"Sigil!" Sigilyph made the first move, summoning an orb of ice in front of it before unleashing a chilling beam of ice.

"Bra!" Hisuian Braviary took the skies via the speed of Aerial Ace. Aerial Ace helped avoid Ice Beam while also approaching Sigilyph. The Psychic-Flying-Type had struck his fellow Psychic-Flying-Type in the process, causing it to stagger whilst Braviary flew past it.

"Quick! Use Heat Wave!"

"Sig! Sigilyph!" Sigilyph recovered quickly on its non-existent feet. Once Hisuian Braviary flew past it, the Avianoid Pokemon had suddenly lathered itself in a blazing red aura. From that aura, a smouldering wave of fire had been unleashed. Braviary responded in kind by using a move that Ash and Rainbow Dash had not seen until now.

"Viary!" A spiral of pink Psychic energy emerged around the Battle Cry Pokemon, acting like a mini-hurricane. The purple flames on his head reacted to the emergence of this incoming attack, intensifying. Out of it and with the action of Braviary flapping his wings, a barrage of aura-enriched wings came crashing down, slashing onto the wave of flames.

"What's that?!" Ash and Rainbow Dash both exclaimed.

"It's that move from before!" Daring Do turned to face them. "The dex calls it Esper Wing!"

"Braviary!" Braviary cried out as Esper Wing managed to blaze through the wave of flames, bombarding Sigilyph's body repeatedly.

"S-Sigil!"

"Sigilyph!" Daring Do cried out as her partner was currently on the losing end of this battle. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash's Braviary said nothing but silently observe his Hisuian counterpart.

"Sigilyph! Return!" Daring Do whipped out a Dusk Ball, quickly recalling Sigilyph before it could take any more damage. She already had another Poke Ball ready. "Thank you. Rest for a bit. That Braviary's a problem still..."

"You okay?!" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'm fine, Rainbow Dash. Catching this Braviary was never easy in the first place. I just hope I don't leave empty-hoofed. I still have Archeops to help out!" Throwing the Poke Ball revealed her next Pokemon to be Archeops.

"Archeops!"

"Archeops! Use Stone Edge!"

"Archeops!" The First Bird Pokemon cawed before materializing glowing blue crystals into thin air. These crystals were then unleashed at full force towards Hisuian Braviary.

"Viary!" And the response from the Battle Cry Pokemon was Hurricane. With the flap of his wings, he had summoned a colossal whirlwind of air to both attack and defend. It did well in defending him via grabbing the stones and trapping them within the spiral.

"Archeops! Dodge and use Acrobatics!"

"Arch!" Archeops zipped to the side, evading the incoming terrifying force of wind which had crushed the crystals in the process. Afterwards, the First Bird Pokemon increased in agility, suddenly zooming towards its fellow Flying-Type.

A hit had finally been landed as Archeops became a blur, rapidly striking Hisuian Braviary with Acrobatics as faint lines of its movements could also be spotted within the blur. "Aviary!"

"Good stuff! Now, Stone Edge one more time!"

"Cheops!" After tackling Hisuian Braviary for a bit, Archeops quickly switched moves, summoning those crystals once more. This time, they were at a closer range, allowing for an easier connection. The Battle Cry Pokemon found itself struck and pelted by the rocks, forcing it back.

"B-Braviary!" Taking super-effective damage, Braviary was finally starting to feel some pushback. Daring Do was doing much better than when they last battled.

"Hidden Power Ice!"

"Arch!" Archeops would then follow up with Hidden Power Ice, summoning orbs packed with the power of the Ice-Type before they were then rapidly thrown in Braviary's direction. Braviary's eyes flared open as he had once again used Aerial Ace as an evasion tactic.

"Braviary!" Hisuian Braviary swerved past the orbs before then switching into Brave Bird, covering himself in a blazing aura.

"I don't think so! Acrobatics!"

"Archeops!" Archeops would counter with an equally speedy Flying-Type attack. The First Bird Pokemon took off, becoming a blur once again.

Soon, they were both flying through the air at rapid speeds, becoming only golden and orange trails and speed lines zooming about. Their auras clashed with each other with sparks flying. Rainbow Dash's Braviary watched carefully still, observing his Hisuian Counterpart. Seeing all of this was giving him an itch for a battle.

However, Hisuian Braviary's Sky Attack proved superior in power as it had knocked Archeops out of the sky, knocking Acrobatics off balance. "Braviary!"

"A-Archeops!"

"Vi!" After breaking its balance, Esper Wing had been used once more. Much like how Archeops used Stone Edge point-blank, Braviary did the same with these wings of Psychic aura, bombarding the Rock-Flying-Type which sent it downwards.

"Oh no! Archeops!" Daring Do cried out before witnessing her partner crash into the ground with purple trails. The smoke cleared as Archeos was still standing, however, that series of attacks had winded it.

"A-Archeops...!" Archeos shook its head as Hisuian Braviary descended afterwards, hovering there patiently.

"Geez..." Daring Do held her hat. "I need to think of something quick. That Esper Wing's a big problem and-"

"Brav! Braviary!" Interrupting her sentence was the Unovan Braviary, who had stepped up. He cawed ferociously at Daring Do. "Vi! Braviary!"

"Hey, Braviary!" Rainbow Dash held her partner back. "Calm down! This is her battle, not ours!"

"Vi?" Hisuian Braviary looked to his Unovan Counterpart."Braviary..." The two Braviary looked each other in the eyes, pausing for a bit. Hisuian Braviary used his Psychic abilities to observe his Unovan Counterpart before sensing something. He could sense the Bond Phenomenon radiating from him along with Ash and Rainbow Dash.

"Sorry. I get that you're itching for a battle against him but...I need to do this on my own." Daring Do turned to the Unovan Braviary before facing the Hisuian Form. "I'm going to catch this Braviary...and then I'm gonna enter that Time Leak sometime!"

"Enter the Time Leak?!" Caught off guard by her declaration, Ash and Rainbow Dash gasped in unison.

"Archeops! Endeavor!"

"Arche...!" Archeops' body stared radiating a silver and red light, building up strength. Hisuian Braviary knew what was coming, proving it to use Hurricane, summoning a massive tornado in the process.

"Now!"

"Cheops!" Archeops released the power of Endeavor in the form of a radius-wide silver and red pulse. This pulse was backed by the amount of damage that Archeops had taken, transforming it into power. And it was stellar power indeed. So powerful that it broke through the Hurricane, dispersing the wind particles.

"Bra?!" Braviary gasped as it was hit by this pulse. The impact was staggering and overwhelming. So overwhelming that not only did it knock it back with enough impact to shake the trees, but it had also brought Braviary down to Archeops' level. A weak level. Such was the purpose of Endeavor. "B-Braviary...!"

"Now's my chance!" Daring Do held out a Great Ball with her wing before throwing it. "Go! Great Ball!" The ball spun through the air, almost being thrown off balance from the wind disturbance that Hurricane and Endeavor had caused. But thankfully, it hit its target, knocking Braviary on the head. It shrunk the Battle Cry Pokemon, pulling it inside before dropping to the ground. Now was the moment of truth. The shaking.

1...2...3...Gotcha! Hisuian Braviary was caught.

"Yes! I did it! I caught a Hisuian Braviary!" A relieved Daring Do threw her hat into the air before flying over to the First Bird Pokemon. Archeops receive a well-earned hug for its hard-fought battle. "Archeops, you were amazing!"

"Archeops."

"Awesome stuff!" Ash, Rainbow Dash and their Pokemon cheered for Daring Do's victory. The second time's the charm and it worked out indeed.

"Pikachu!"

"Braviary!" Braviary, even though he wanted to battle against his Hisuian Braviary, thoroughly enjoyed this battle. He was already wondering what it would be like if it was him over there.

"Whew. Second Try." The adventurer proudly grinned before turning Archeops. "A Pokemon from the past that doesn't exist anymore? Wasn't in one of my objectives...but check. That's another story part to add to my books right there."

"And we got to see it happen too!" Rainbow Dash squeed. "Wouldn't be the first for me though."

"Great job getting Hisuian Braviary. But say...you said you were going to check out the Time Leak next?" Ash went up to her.

"I did. But ya know...not right now. I'm taking a break for a bit, remember?"

"Still. That sounds like a big deal. Isn't going through that thing meaning travelling through time?" Her fellow pegasus replied.

"It is. Time Travelling's been another thing that's caught my curiosity. Thanks to all of this Pokemon and Cosmic stuff going on, so many things I could've never done before, I get to do now. So, travelling to the past to maybe explore ancient places that might not exist anymore today is a win in my book."

"But are you gonna get back? I mean...Time Travelling's a big deal." Rainbow Dash nudged. "Only Ash here's been through it a few times."

"Yeah, you have a point. I would need a way to get back. Unless the Time Leak stays where it is."

"I already sent it to Professor Oak earlier. He's studying those leaks and says that they stay around instead of vanishing." Ash explain. "So they won't be going anywhere for a while. Still, you gotta keep a sharp eye when you're travelling through time."

"Pika-Pika."

"I'll be fine. I love daring things after all. Right now, I'm gonna get home with my new Braviary and start writing. I need the break more than anything." Daring Do sighed.

"Maybe along the way, Ash and I can share some stuff with you! Heard of Pegalysium?"

"Uh yeah. Heard about it when we were all with Arceus. Go on. Tell me more." It was time for them all to depart from this island with Ah and Rainbow Dash sharing what they had done at Pegalysium, giving inspiration to the adventurer/author of what she could write about and explore next.

As for the Time Leak, true to what Oak had told Ash, it stayed static. Never leaving its spot. The same goes for the Pokemon and Human World. Truly, it was still a mystery where they came from and why they were here. Aside from that, Daring Do proudly had herself a Hisuian Braviary and a new chapter in her book to publish as the journey continues.

Chapter 756 End.
