In the dark abyss, a red-haired girl with turquoise colored eyes walks on an unstable stone-like bridge. She carefully looks from her feet to what's in front of her and sees a bright light. A large door stands in front of her with a demon-like face with yellow glowing eyes with chains keeping the door locked.
"Whoever can open this door, will gain great new power." A mysterious voice says as the flame-haired girl backs away from the door. "But know, that with such a reward comes great risk."
"Do you have the courage to unlock this power?"
The girls' sun-shaped pendant starts glowing brightly. The pendant was yellow-gold and half red like a yin-yang symbol.
"Uh... great risk?" The girl says unsure. "Let me think about it." The ground underneath her begins to shake as the ground breaks. She loses her footing and falls backward screaming and falling into the dark abyss below her.
The girl falls off her hammock on her head. She sits up on the floor and holds her head. "Ow... that fucking hurts!" She groans. "What a weird dream... Oh well least I'm up now." She says. Her alarm clock goes off and she jumps up. "And I'm late! Crap!" She quickly gets up and goes to her dresser trying to fix her card deck. "Not again! Celestia and Luna are going to kill me!" She grabs the deck and swings down a rope leading into her bedroom. "What am I forgetting! What am I forgetting! Oh yeah, to get dressed!"
Downstairs was a woman with long burgundy hair with orange highlights tied into a ponytail. She's sitting at her holo computer talking to someone. "I'll get right on it boss, I love a good lead in the morning."
The red-haired girl runs down the stairs putting her black leather boots on. She's wearing a white collar shirt with a red tie that was done, with a black leather jacket with red lined sleeves also wearing dark blue jeans. "What gives Scarlet! Why didn't you wake me up?" She asks jumping around and trying to find her missing shoe.
"Because I'm a news reporter, not a babysitter." Scarlet replies. "You're in Highschool now, act like it Sunset. Your lucky Celestia and Luna are at work." Sunset sticks her tongue out at Scarlet and goes running out the door. "Lunch is on the counter!" Scarlet calls out before getting back to work.
"Hey, my name is Sunset Shimmer and this is my life."

Sunset runs down the sidewalk and sees two trash bots. "Comin' through!" She yells and jumps over one of them making it spin around.
"Hey, Sunset!" Said girl looks behind her to see a blonde-haired girl with emerald green eyes wearing a cowboy hat. She calls out to Sunset and rides her bike over to her. "Hey, Aj!" Sunset says and the two high-five each other.
"Wanna race?" AJ asks. "Let me think on that," Sunset says and runs at full speed passing Applejack. "Yeah Okay!"
"Yay!" The two of them shout. Applejack rides her back down a flight of stairs with Sunset sliding on the railing. "I'm gaining on ya!" Sunset says. Applejack accidentally hits a trash bot sending it straight at Sunset.
Sunset crashed to the ground face first. Her Yu-Gi-Oh cards go flying and land on the ground.
[Trash Identified, trash Identified.] Multiple trash bots start picking the Sunsets cards. "Hey! Those aren't trash!" She gets back up to her feet and quickly picks up her cards. "Cut it out!" One of the robots holds one up and studies it. [Not trash.] it says. "No, it's not! It's my deck." She snatches the card away from it. [Your deck...?] the bot says. "Yeah, it's for dueling." Sunset replies and the facepalms. "And I'm now talking to a robot... great." She mumbles.
From the sky train, two girls look down at Sunset. One of them was a girl with orange glasses and light-colored hair in twin pigtails. While the other girl had black glasses and dark purple hair with pink and magenta streaks in her hair tied in a ponytail.
The purple-haired girl looks down at Sunset angrily walking away from the trash bots. She couldn't help but giggle a little sporting a blush on her face. "What are you laughing at?" The girl beside her asks.
"Hm? O-oh it's nothing!" She says and the girl next to her raised a brow. "Your weird Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight looks back down to see the flame-haired girl nowhere to be seen. 'She seems like a very interesting person.' She thought to herself and gets off at her stop.
"H-hey um, Sugarcoat. Do you know that girl we saw earlier?" Twilight questions.
"Don't know. But I recognize her uniform. She must go to Canterlot academy." Sugarcoat replies and gets off the train with Twilight behind her.

"Twenty! If you jump over this many boxes you'll ah' beat the school record sugar cube!" Applejack says.
Sunset starts stretching. "Today, that record going down!" She shouts.
"Sunset darling, I don't think that's a good idea." Says a girl with beautiful wavy purple hair. Her eyes fixated on Sunset. "Don't worry Rarity, it'll be fine," Sunset reassures her. "For some as smart as you, you should know better than to do this." Rarity says.
"Pinkie tell that her-" Said the pink-haired girl starts jumping around and hyping everyone up to cheer on Sunset. "Do it Sunny! Do it!"
Rarity sighs and looks at Applejack. "Sorry sugar cube."
"I'm about to high-five the sky!" Sunset yells and runs towards the small trampoline placed a few feet in front of her.
She jumps up and flips over the twenty boxes. She does the Spiderman landing pose and everyone claps. "Rarity, everything was fine," Sunset says and looks over at Applejack. "Looks like you'll be buying me lunch today AJ." The bell rings signaling for their next class.
Sunset and Rarity walk outside to the courtyard. Multiple kids are out with their duel Gazers and disks. "This heat is dreadful!" Rarity groans.
"It's not that hot out," Sunset replies earning a playful slap from the other girl. "Sunset darling, why do you do those dares?" Rarity questions the red-haired girl. "I don't know really. But it's fun, besides I like taking risks." Sunset says. "Can't live life without taking a few risks every once in a while."
They both put on their duel gazers and walk around, a monster with red scales flies over them and attacks another monster.
"Where do you think Applejack went to?" Rarity asks Sunset who's already running towards Applejack who's dueling a girl with rainbow-colored hair. "Those two going to be the death of me..." Rarity groans and goes after Sunset.
"Nice try AJ, but face it. You can't beat me." The rainbow-haired girl says and takes Applejack's deck. "Applejack!" Sunset helps the blonde girl get back up on her feet and glares at the other girl.
"What's the big deal Rainbow dash?! I thought you and AJ were friends." Says Sunset.
"She's the one that challenged me in the first place, we made a deal and she lost so I get her deck." Rainbow smirks waving Applejack's deck in Sunset's face. "Applejack, is this true?" Sunset asks. "I'm sorry Sunset, she challenged me and I couldn't say no," Applejack says and lowers her head. "My goodness Sunset!" Rarity says breathing heavily. "You didn't have to run."
Rarity then see's Rainbow dash and glares at her. "Oh, it's you." She says.
"Rarity," Rainbow says and looks back at Sunset. "Well, I'm done here." She says and turns away from the trio. "Hey wait!" Sunset calls out. "Sugarcube, I know where yer thinkin' and it's not worth it." Applejack says.
"What is it now Shimmer," Rainbow says slowly getting irritated. "If your gonna challenge my friend then I'm gonna challenge you," Sunset says.
"Are you out of your mind?" One of Rainbow's lackey's comments. "You're not even close to being in the same league as Rainbow dash." He says.
"So is that a no?" Sunset asks with a smirk. "I guess that means you're just a coward then." Rainbow's eyes narrowed at Sunset, her eye twitched at Sunset calling her a coward. 'I back down from no one! Not even her!' Rainbow says to herself.
"A coward?" Rainbow whispers. "You know what happened to the last person who called me a coward?" Rainbow says walking to Sunset seeing that she was a couple of inches taller than her so Rainbow had to look up at her.
"Uh, something bad I guess?" Sunset says nonchalantly not intimidated by Rainbow. 'Now that I realize it, she's pretty short now that I'm in front of her.'
"I don't know because it's never happened before!" Rainbow yells. "Oh, well then I guess this will be the first." Sunset replies.
"Big talk. All right Sunset, let's say that if we did duel. You want Applejacks deck back but what's in it for me?" Sunset looks down at the sun-shaped key around her neck.
"Um, good question. I haven't thought of that." She says. Rainbow looks at Sunset's necklace and grins and pulls it off her. "Hey!" Sunset yells and tries to go after Rainbow but the Rainbow-haired girl's two lackeys grab her arms holding her in place. "That's mine!" She yells.
Rainbow holds it up and studies it. "My, my, this certainly seems important to you doesn't it." Rainbow taunts. "Cut it out Rainbow dash!" Applejack says. "Stay out of it AJ, can't you see that Sunset and I are talking."
"Give it back that's mine!" Sunset yells. "Settle down Sunny, since it means that much to you I'll give it back and duel you for it," Rainbow says and drops it on the ground and steps on it breaking the key in half. Rainbow's goons let go of Sunset who picks up one part of her key. "What the actual FUCK! Why did you do that!?"
"Same reason I'm doing this," Rainbow says and kicks the other half off the terrace. "Well, since we can't duel for that anymore you don't get Applejack's deck back." She smirks at Sunset who gets back up.
"That's it your fucking dead!" Sunset yells and rushes at Rainbow only for Applejack and Rarity to hold her back. "Sunset darling, don't it!" Rarity says. "You don't give up do you?" Rainbow says. "I guess we can figure out some sort of arrangement. If you beat me I'll give back Applejack's deck, but if I win Sunset. I get yours. This Sunday at the station courtyard if you want AJ's cards back be there." She says walking away. Applejack and Rarity finally let go of Sunset.
"Um, darling." Rarity starts. "Are you alright?" She asks. "Don't worry Rarity," Sunset says who gives her a sad smile. "I-i'll be fine. I should uh, start heading home. It's getting late anyway." She says and walks away from the two. Applejack and Rarity stare at Sunset until she was completely out of sight. "It's all my fault." Applejack says. "I have to fix this." She says.
"Wait where are you going?" Rarity asks. "Just going to look for something." Applejack yells. "Have a nice weekend Rares." Rarity watched as her two friends go home with a sad expression on their faces.
As the sun slowly starts to set Sunset quickly makes her way home. While running she accidentally bumps into a girl around her age. "I'm so sorry, here let me help you up." Sunset apologizes and the girl takes her hand. "Sorry for bumping into you—" Sunset trails off. The purple-haired girl in front of her fixed her glasses and gives Sunset a shy smile making the red-haired girl's heart skip a beat. "Y-your pretty..." Sunset says blushing. The girl in front of her blushes at Sunset's comment. "I- um. I'm Sunset Shimmer!" Sunset says trying to regain her composure.
"Nice to meet you Sunset Shimmer." The purple-haired girl says. "I'm Twilight Sparkle." The girl says. "Have you been crying?" She asks. Sunset's eyes were red and puffy. "I- uh, kinda..." Sunset says rubbing her eyes. "D-do you want to talk about it?" Twilight asks. "My mom always said that talking things out helps." She says. "Are you sure? I mean it's getting late. I'm sure your family is worried about you." Said Sunset.
"Don't worry, my house isn't far from here. Besides, you look like you need someone to talk to." Twilight says and smiles at Sunset. "OK then, I'll just give the short version." Sunset then explains everything to Twilight.
"So you're the girl I saw this morning!" Twilight says surprising Sunset. "Huh?" She looks at Twilight confused. "S-sorry let me explain. On my way to school this morning I saw you were trying to take your cards away from a bunch of trash bots." Twilight explains. "Oh uh, yeah."
"Hey, I think what your doing is the right thing to do. Dueling someone to get your friend's deck back. I don't think anyone would go as far as to do something like that." Twilight says.
"You think so?" Sunset asks. "I do, you seem like the type of person who would do anything for her friends," Twilight says and hugs Sunset who hugs her back. "Wow, thanks Sparky." She says. "I needed that. How about I walk you home yeah?" Sunset says. "I'd like that," Twilight says and takes Sunset's hand.
"So does this make us friends now? I'm not sure how this whole friendship thing works." Twilight asks nervously and Sunset smirks. "I mean, since I'm walking you home I think this should put us as girlfriends now," Sunset says and Twilight's face goes as red as Sunset's hair. She punches Sunset's arm making the taller girl laugh. "That's not funny!" Twilight yells. "To answer your question from before, we are friends Sparky."
