Episode 19: The Sonic Heroes Saga (Part 6):
The Metal Overlord
In the room where the Chaotix, the Young 6 and Eggman were, the Young 6 had Eggman pinned down on the ground. Eggman was struggling to get back up, but Yona sat on him.
"GAH!!" Eggman called out. "Wait! I'm trying to tell you...!"
"We don't want to hear it!" Gallus said. "After everything you've done, you're going to be put in jail for everything you're doing." Ocellus was sniffing around, smelling something odd. "All that I have to say is that..."
"He stinks," Ocellus said.
"Yeah, he does," Gallus said. "He stinks at everything."
"No, he really stinks," Ocellus said. Then the others started sniffing him and went away from Eggman, fanning the smell away.
"Oh, man," Smolder said. "That smells worse than when I was going through the Molt myself."
"Believe me, I would shower if I hadn't been locked up here for a week," Eggman said. "I've been locked up for trying to conquer the world."
"That doesn't make sense," Sandbar said.
"Then who was it?" Vector asked. "Who locked you up here for trying to conquer the world?"
Eggman got into a sitting position, looked down and said, "It was..."
In the sky, the Whale Shark Flagship was flying off. But then, another ship, the Patriot Arrow, was flying towards the ship. Midpoint was flying the ship with Cozy Glow in the passenger seat.
"You know the drill, Cozy," Midpoint said. "Find Twilight and her friends, and give them the package." Midpoint and Cozy Glow looked back at a small container.
"Gotcha," Cozy Glow said, getting out of her seat. She walked over towards the capsule and grabbed it. She then headed for the door on the side of the ship.
"Don't drop it! And be careful!" Midpoint said.
"We're not going to land the ship?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Just get to the group," Midpoint said. "I'll have your back from up here!"
"So you know what Eggman's up to, right?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Yes," Midpoint said. "Only it's not Eggman."
"What does that mean?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Just go!" Midpoint said. "And watch out for the debris." Cozy Glow nodded and then started flying towards the Flagship.
On the Flagship, the three groups from earlier were looking around the wreckage that the Chaotix and the Young 6 left after their battle. MC then sensed something and looked up on the tower on the Flagship.
"What is it, MC?" Twilight asked. Then she and the others heard metallic laughter. The group looked up at the top of the tower, to see what was on top.
"What is that?" Twilight asked.
"Everyone, on guard!" MC said. Then they all got into defensive positions. From on top, the figure was looking down.
"All living things kneel before your master!" the figure said. Then it shot electricity from his right hand and it went up, and then it came back down, destroying the tower. The groups were awestruck by when they saw that the tower was destroyed. The Chaotix and the Young 6 ran in, watching what was happening. The Crusaders, minus Scootaloo, and Cream and Cheese were holding onto Big's belly in fear.
The building was torn apart and being rebuilt differently. Mostly in blue colors, some black wires, and even some spikes. Then the figure's body transformed into a giant, spiky head with the eyes that is one over a bigger one. Then it roared loudly.
"No... way..." MC said.
"What... is... that?!" Twilight asked.
"NOOOO!!" Eggman called out as he was running towards the group. "Metal Sonic has finally transformed!" Then a bunch of Egg Pawns started running from the tower, running around the group of heroes.
"So that's Metal Sonic?!" Sonic asked.
"I thought that thing got broken apart," MC said. "Twice."
"That was the first model," Eggman said. "But now, it's useless! Metal Sonic two-point-O has combined your power with the power of Chaos and is super strong! We can't defeat it!" Eggman then groaned angrily. "If only we had the Seven Chaos Emeralds!"
The group looked at one another with worried faces. Sonic then said, "Wish we would've found them in time before all of this."
"Yeah," Twilight said. "We were just getting things back to normal."
"Golly! I'd never thought you all would give up so easy!" came another voice. The group looked up and saw Cozy Glow hovering over them with a small capsule in her arms.
"Cozy Glow?!" the Mane 6, the Crusaders, Spike, Starlight, Trixie and the Young 6 all asked in unison.
"You all need to be prepared for something like this eventually," Cozy Glow said, putting down the capsule. "That's why Alex and I have been busy with getting this stuff."
MC walked over towards the capsule. There was a handle on top of the capsule and MC twisted the top counterclockwise, and pulled it up. The capsule then opened up and revealed something.
"The Chaos Emeralds! All of them!" MC said, shocked.
"What's this? But how?" Eggman asked.
"Alex used his future seeing ability to find all of them," Cozy Glow said. "Of course, some of them weren't easy to get. Some to shop for, some to dig up. The last one was in Equestria, and he had to fight off Diamond Dogs to get it."
"I take it the Diamond Dogs weren't too happy when their Emerald was taken?" Rarity asked.
"No they were not," Cozy Glow said.
"Well, even with the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds, our chances for victory are slim," Eggman said. "It would take a miracle."
"Just leave that to me, Doc," Sonic said, holding the blue Chaos Emerald.
"Sonic, no!" Amy said, worried.
"I'm going with you, too!" Tails said.
"You can count me in, too," Knuckles said.
"No way we're getting held back from this adventure," Rainbow Dash said.
"Yeah," Twilight said. "We're all in this together."
"Okay, guys," Shadow said. "We'll buy you some time. That way you can use your super powers."
"Divide and conquer," MC said. "Now that's a plan."
Sonic smirked at the group and said, "Okay then, let's get ready to do this. We'll show that creep the real power of FRIENDSHIP and TEAM WORK!!" Then all of them got into battle positions.
The groups, minus the Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, were all running up towards Metal Sonic as the others were getting into position.
"How are we going to stop this thing?" Amy asked.
"We're going to have to get it off the ship," Espio said. "If we can cut off the mechanism that connect him to the tower..."
"Then he won't be able to get away so easily!" MC said. "Aim for the locking mechanism!" MC then had his hands glowing and then three platforms went up, surrounding Metal Sonic.
Amy pointed a finger at Metal Sonic and said, "You're the one pretending to be Sonic! You're the one responsible for taking Froggy and Chocola!"
"I can't believe you would do such a thing!" Cream said, angrily.
"You're gonna pay for this!" Big said.
Metal Sonic's giant form raised its right arm, aimed it towards Amy's group, and shot fire from it. The group jumped out of the way.
Nyx then asked, "How are we going to stop that thing?!"
Apple Bloom looked at the button that connects to the locking mechanism. She then got an idea. She looked over at Amy and said, "Hey, Amy. Mind if Ah borrow yer hammer?"
"Why?" Amy asked.
"Trust me," Apple Bloom said. "Ah have a plan."
Amy then thought about it. She then pulled out her hammer and handed it to Apple Bloom.
"Nyx, I'm gonna need ya ta lift me to that circle there!" Apple Bloom said, pointing at the circle.
"I don't know," Nyx said. "My magic isn't all that strong."
"Nyx, you literally teleported the two of us to another dimension," Joshua said. "You need to believe in yourself. Like how we believe in you." Nyx smiled at Joshua's words. She then gained confidence, used her magic, and lifted Apple Bloom. She then launched Apple Bloom towards the locking mechanism, and Apple Bloom used Amy's hammer and smashed it, making Metal Sonic roar. Nyx then carried Apple Bloom back to the platform and then Apple Bloom gave Amy's hammer back to the owner.
"Now that was a good plan," Amy said. She then got out her communicator. "We're done. You guys ready?"
"It's... too... late..." Metal Sonic said. Then he was attacked from his left side. Metal Sonic looked towards his left and saw the Young 6 and the Chaotix there.
"Transformation isn't quite complete yet," Espio said.
"Incomplete freak!" Charmy called out.
"Now's the time to strike!!" Vector called out.
"You're all useless now that I've copied all your data!" Metal Sonic called out. His left hand then fired something. It collided with Yona and she was trapped inside an almost completely round piece of ice.
"Yona!" Sandbar, Gallus, Silverstream, Ocellus and Smolder all called out.
"She's frozen solid!" Ocellus said.
"I got this!" Smolder said. She then started breathing fire, but it only lasted two seconds and Yona came out, not shivering at all.
"Yona okay," Yona said. "Yaks been through colder."
"Oh, right," Gallus said. "Because Yakyakistan is north of the Crystal Empire. Makes sense."
"How do we stop Metal Sonic?" Sandbar asked.
"I remember the time we took him down in New York," Smolder said. "But for this, we have to think of something else."
"Throw Yona! Throw Yona!" Yona said.
"Oh, boy," Vector said. "This is gonna be good!" Vector then picked Yona back up. "Get me an open shot!" Then Smolder, Ocellus, Gallus, Silverstream and Charmy started flying near Metal Sonic's head, distracting him.
"Are you sure about this?" Sandbar asked, looking at Yona.
"Yak sure!" Yona said. "Besides, Dragoness and Hippogriff friends will catch me."
"She's got you there," Vector said. "Okay. Time to count down."
"One... two... three!" Vector and Yona counted down before Vector launched Yona at the locking mechanism, Metal Sonic roaring in anger. Smolder and Silverstream flew down and caught Yona before she could fall.
"We're almost done here!" Vector called out. "Now it's up to you!"
"This victory shall soon turn into despair!" Metal Sonic called out. Just then, the platforms that had the Crusaders's group and the Chaotix and the Young 6 went down. Metal Sonic then looked in front of him to see MC's group standing tall.
"Now it's our turn," MC said, his hands glowing in a golden aura.
Shadow looked up at Metal Sonic and said, "So you're the one behind all of this, huh?"
"Consuming power of others at your own will... and that's supposed to make you tough?!" Rouge asked.
"New target acquisition!" Omega said. "Sights locked on Metal Sonic!"
"Even the ultimate life form can't stop me!" Metal Sonic said. He then fired both ice missiles and fire at the group.
"Chaos... SHIELD!!" MC said, the second word echoing. The shield blocked out Metal Sonic's attacks.
"How are we going to stop this thing?" Starlight asked.
"Obviously, we're going to have to take out its locking mechanism," Sunset said.
Metal Sonic then unleashed a barrier around the locking mechanism as it roared.
"Great," Rouge said, frustrated.
"It's protecting it's locking mechanism!" Olive said.
"How are we going to get through it?" Maria asked.
"I'm going in," MC said, smirking.
"MC, don't do it!" Sunset said. "You don't know what that barrier will do to you!"
"Then I'll go unstable," MC said, taking off his rings and handed them to Maria. "Hold onto these for me." He then got into a position like how track runners get ready to start a race.
Metal Sonic roared and then laughed at what he thought was MC's demise. MC then charged straight at towards the locking mechanism, MC's power unleashing, and he collided with the barrier.
"CHAOS CLAW!!" MC shouted as he used his claws to slice through the barrier, and eventually, he cut the locking mechanism, making Metal Sonic roar in pain. MC came out the other side of Metal Sonic's giant form. But then Starlight came in with a teleportation spell, grabbed MC, and teleported the two of them back to the platform.
"Sonic, we're counting on you!" Shadow said.
"How appropriate to have a robot overlord rule a robot kingdom!" Metal Sonic said.
The group looked at each other in confusion and Shadow asked, "What does that mean?"
MC shrugged his shoulders and took the platform down.
Metal Sonic roared as his second set of arms broke apart and replaced with large metal shreds, resembling wings. Then he started taking off to the skies. The three groups that were fighting him watched as he took off.
"Obviously he got that from Ocellus," Smolder said. Some of the other heroes nodded in agreement.
MC looked towards the Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and called out, "Do it now!"
Cozy Glow brought the capsule containing the Chaos Emeralds and opened it up. The Chaos Emeralds then flew out and surrounded the nine heroes after Cozy Glow flew away. The Chaos Emeralds then started spinning around the group. Eventually, the Mane 6 got their Rainbow Power, Sonic became Super Sonic, and Tails and Knuckles obtain barriers surrounding them, giving them a huge amount of power. Then all of them started flying up to chase Metal Sonic.
The other groups watched as they were heading up.
"Do you think that they'll stop that thing?" Scootaloo asked.
"Against the odds, Sonic is always victorious," MC said. "No way Metal Sonic stands a chance."
Metal Sonic was flying through the sky with the amped up heroes chasing him.
"You think you can stop me?!" Metal Sonic called out. "You are all useless against my ultimate power!"
"Ultimate Power, huh?" Super Sonic asked. "We'll see about that!" Then all of the nine heroes charged towards Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic roared and blocks of ice at the group. Super Sonic used his speed to rush though the ice and charged at Metal Sonic's head. Metal Sonic laughed at Super Sonic's attacks.
"Your useless attacks aren't going to do any harm to me!" Metal Sonic said. He then reached down into the clouds below, and brought up a Mako Gunship, tore it in half, and threw it at the heroes.
Super Knuckles came in front of the heroes and punched the broken gunship apart.
From the Whale Shark Flagship, the others were watching the fight in the sky.
"Those attacks won't do squat," MC said.
"What can they do to stop that thing?" Smolder asked.
"It has to be really powerful, I can tell you that," Spike said.
"They need to attack as one," MC said. "Focus all their power on one point."
"That way, they have a better chance of defeating Metal Sonic!" Eggman said.
Then the heroes got together, looking at Metal Sonic.
"What are we gonna do?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"That thing is scary and powerful," Fluttershy said.
"So was Lord Tirek when we fought him the first time," Twilight said. "We have to combine all of our power, and attack as one."
"You got it," Sonic said. "Let's do this!" Then all of them started charging at Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic then tried to cross his arms, but when the Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles started spinning, making a drilling motion, charging in like a rainbow drill. Then they went through Metal Sonic's giant chest, making him roar in pain.
"Guoooooo! Why?! I had it all!" Metal Sonic said as he was falling through the clouds. "I am the ultimate overlord! Metal Sonic! I am the real Sonic!"
The Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles looked towards Metal Sonic as he was falling. The heroes looked down at the falling debris of Metal Sonic. The group them went down to the wreck, where the giant body of Metal Sonic was laying there, missing it's head.
"There he is!" Pinkie Pie said, pointing ahead. They saw Neo Metal Sonic, crawling away, changing back into it's original form. The heroes then landed in front of Metal Sonic.
"It's no use... but why can't I defeat you?" Metal Sonic asked as he turned back into it's original form.
Sonic chuckled and responded, "Because we're Sonic Heroes." Then the others came in, surrounding Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic then stood up and tried to attack Sonic, but then Midpoint dropped from the sky, grabbed Metal Sonic from behind, and ripped his head off.
"And that's why you don't create an evil sentient robot," Midpoint said. "I made a contact to Nicole. She's bringing the air ships up here to pick us all up."
"Well, guess that it for this case," Vector said.
"Guess so," Espio said.
"But what about our money?" Charmy asked.
"Man, I almost forgot!" Vector said. The three of them turned around to see Eggman sneaking off. "That SLIME BALL!!" The Chaotix then started chasing Eggman across the flagship.
Maria walked towards Midpoint and asked, "You think he's going to be okay?"
"Trust me... he survived worse," Midpoint responded. Then the air ships for the heroes came down. "Now, let's get out of here before we crash into Mount Everest. Which should be in ten minutes."
"Good call," Shadow said, walking towards the air ship. Maria watched as Shadow walked towards one ship, worry in her eyes. MC walked up to her.
"Don't worry," MC said. "One day, he'll get his memories back. Hopefully, for the better." Maria nodded. Then all of the heroes walked towards the ships.
"What did Metal Sonic mean by that?" Twilight asked.
"By what, darling?" Rarity asked.
"When he said that he was the real Sonic?" Twilight asked.
"Meh, I doubt that it's important anyway," Rainbow Dash said. Tails then walked up to the group.
"Eggman has been studying our patterns for years," Tails said. "He must've copied Sonic's data and put it into Metal Sonic's programming."
"Making him think that he was the real one," Twilight said.
"Oh well," Sonic said, walking up to the group. "At least this adventure is over, and we can kick back and relax. Because we're SONIC HEROES!!" All of them stopped and posed in front of the air ships, looking out at the viewers.
