//------------------------------// // Meeting new people (and bullies) // Story: Equestria Girls: The Stolen Crown // by DerpyRules //------------------------------// The hallways of this new highschool were a sight to look at. Not that they were any different from his old school but he defintley notices that the school put quite a bit of effort into the designs. Lance Ace was wondering the halls. He had just moved to Canterlot a few days ago when his mom got a job as an accountant for Canterlot's National Bank. His father also worked as an accountant too. This was his first day at Canterlot High and he didn't know anyone at all. That was until a teen boy approached him with a charming smile and introduced himself. He was gray skinned with black hair. He wore a collard white t-shirt with a pair of jeans and tennis shoes. Lance noticed his hair also seemed to be neatly combed. "Hey there, you the new kid?" the boy asked smiling. "Yeah," Lance said feeling a bit awkward. While he did make a few friends back in his old school, he was still awkward when it comes to meeting new people. At the very least he could say his name. "I'm Lance. Lance Ace." The other boy extended his hand and Lance shook it. "Name's Score. I'm Canterlot's body President. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Principal Celestia usually asks me to give tours to new students. So how about a tour eh?" "Why not. This school does seem pretty huge." Lance shrugged "It won't feel like it once you know it like the back of your hand like I do," Score laughed. "Come on!" He began to lead Lance on a tour. "This right here is the library." He said gesturing towards the entryway. It's primary purpose is for study halls but sometimes it can be used for projects and other research." "Lot of people," Lance commented. "Yeah, but it is a nice place to just relax. I do it almost all the time. You know High School is a lot of work," Score chuckled. Lance couldn't help but chuckle too. "Tell me about it. My old school gave so much homework. And I didn't even take any advance courses." "Must have been a prestigious one. Anyway these are the computers right here." Score continued gesturing towards the computers. "They're only supposed to be for research purposes but there are a few who used it for...inappropriate things." Lance stiffled a laugh. "Wait are you serious?" "Yeah. It might seem funny but you won't be laughing when you get caught doing it so...just don't do it okay?" "Don't worry. I won't do it. I don't think I'll even have time anyways." Score continued to show Lance the rest of the library. The sections and the process of checking out and returning books. When they got out of the library, Score decided to ask him a few things. "So you made alot of friends back in your old school?" "A few. I'm not exactly the total extrovert but I do have enough to not be totally alone. We still keep in touch when we play a round of Equestrian Warfare." Lance ssid "Nice. Well I'm sure you'll make new friends here too." As they continued to walk down the hallway, they heard some sort of commotion around the corner. "Please let me go! I have to get to class!" Pleaded a girls voice. Score and Lance saw a girl being cornered by a bully. Also another girl. The one being cornered had pale yellow skin with pink hair. She wore a green skirt with a white tank top and green boots. The one who cornered her had short white hair, wore a brown jacket with ripped jeans and black boots. The bully grabbed the pink haired girl by the front of the shirt and gave her a hard backhand slap. The latter gave a yelp of pain as she fell on the floor. Tears started to leak down her cheeks as she sobbed. The bully however didn't feel anymore remorse as she grabbed the crying girl again and and threatened her. "I don't wanna hear that crap! You had it and now you're saying you don't?!" She raised her fist. "Please! I told you I turned it in. Why do you want it?! It's not even yours anyways!" The crying girl sniffed. "We gotta do something!" Lance whispered to Score. "Yeah but I think we should get the tour done first so," "Dude! We need to help now!" Lance hissed. He almost couldn't believe the very student president was almost bout o let someone get bullied. "The tour can wait!" "Okay okay." Score said putting his hands up. "Just stay here and I'll go talk to her." He put his thumbs in his pockets and went towards where the two girls were. "Gilda, how about you not be so rough, alright?" Lance was caught off guard about how calm he sounded. He didn't even sound angry. The girl turned around taking off her attention from the other girl. Gilda let go as she looked at Score. She turned towards the girl and snarled. "You got lucky you hear me, cunt?!" The girl nodded and whimpered as Gilda stomped away. "What the...how did you?!-" Lance stammered as he joined Score. The latter only shrugged. "Let's just say being the council president really makes people listen to you." "I guess...but she didn't even threaten you..." Lance stammered. "What can I say?" Score smugged. "I guess I have a special talent." "Right..." Lance was unsure about Score now. It was almost like he would've turned a blind eye about this poor girl getting beaten. Speaking of her. He looked down and it seemed she was still shaken up after what Gilda had done. "Hey...Are you ok?" The girl sniffed and looked up. "Yeah. I-I just never seen her so mad before. I can't believe you did that." A warm smile was appeared on Score's face. "Come on. I wasn't about to let Gilda hurt you. Would I?" Lance wanted to say something in objection but decided it was best to keep quiet, so he bit his lip and kept his mouth closed. "Well thank you, Score." The girl smiled and looked at Lance. "And I don't think I ever saw you around before. Are you new here?" "Oh yeah. Brand new here." Lance replied. "Name's Lance Ace. Everyone and everything here is brand new to me." "Well it's very nice to meet you. I'm Fluttershy." she introduced herself in her usual kindness. "You as well," Lance replied. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking...Do you know who that bully was? It seems like this wasn't your first encounter with her." Fluttershy nodded. "Mhm. She's someone you do not want to mess with. If you're unfortunate to get subjected to her tormenting, she can make your life a living hell. She's a sadistic bully who takes so much joy in hurting others...a-and then when she hurts someone, I don't mean like a few bruises here and there. She sends people to the ER!" Fluttershy whimpered as her lips started to quiver just thinking about how she too could've almost ended up at the hospital. Score nodded in agreement. "It's true. Gilda's a psycho," but Lance notice the tone in his voice. It wasn't fearful like Fluttershy's. Rather it was calm, like Score knows about Gilda for a long time but just doesn't care. As if having a psycopathic bully was as normal as taking a stroll in the park. "So she just targets everyone because she's a bully?" Lance asked. "Well today, I was her target because I actually made her mad. I turned in something that she needed. And now she's angry at me because she tells me she needs it to give to Sunset Shimmer." "Sunset Shimmer? Who's she?" "She's like the only one Gilda answers to. She makes all our lives miserable and rules this High School with an iron fist. No one dares to stand up to her. Not even Gilda would dare. Then there's Garble. Another one of this school's worst bullies. He's really cruel and would do anything to make anyone's life miserable on Sunset's orders." The bell rang for class and Fluttershy decided to leave. "Well it was really nice meeting you, but I gotta go to class." She smiled as she waved bye. "How about we continue with the tour, eh?" Score smiled. "And then you can get your schedule." "Alright," Lance agreed." The two continued their tour with Score showing Lance the cafeteria, hallways, the upstair classrooms. The last place he showed Lance was the gymnaiusm. Lance noticed it was decorated for what appears to be a dance. "Oh yeah I forgot to mention in a couple days we're going to have the Fall Formal. It's sort of like a dance at our school." Score informed Lance. "I'm actually going to help plan the event along with the head of the Party Planning Comitee later today." "So it's like homecoming," Lance assumed. "Yeah, something like that," Score agreed. "We elect a princess of Fall Formal each year. We cast a vote and the girl with the most votes win. Anyway, I think you should probably head on over and get your schedule." He pointed down the hallway. "Third door on the right, is where the Principal's office is." "Alright, thanks for the tour, Score." "Hey, don't mention it." Score replied with a smile. Suddenly his tone became serious as his smile faded away. "Now you be careful, this school isn't exactly a friendly place." Then his smile returned. "But you'll be fine." Lance wasn't sure how to feel but notheless he waved goodbye and left for the office." Little did Score know, Lance wasn't the only new student. There was also a new girl who plans to get the same crown Sunset Shimmer wants.
