Twilight Sunset Twilight
Princess Twilight comes through the portal to see Sunset Shimmer, but she's talking to the Twilight Sparkles of that world. Princess Twilight can see that Sunset's face is red and so are the other Twilight Sparkles. What is going on? Princess Twight shook her head and squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them, she found that Sunset and the other Twilight were now facing her, with smiles on their faces. Did I just imagen that?
“Hey, Princess Twilight we were just talking about you,” Sunset said running up to her with the other Twilight behind her.
“This is still crazy seeing another of me.” The other Twilight said adjusting her glasses.
“Try having changelings around, now that gets weird. Those can assume anyone’s identity and you can’t tell it’s not them...most of the time.” Princess Twilight replied to her human counterpart. “I wasn’t expecting to see you.”
“I sort of bumped into Sunset before you came through the portal.” The other Twilight said with a bit of a smile as she rubbed the back of her head.
Sunset was watching the two Twilights talk. I’m never going to get used to this. She thought. I have a connection to both of them, yet…aren’t they the same when Princess Twilight is here?
“You okay Sunset?” Both Twilights said at the same time.
Sunset lifted an eyebrow. “Okay, that got weird.” She replied with a smile.
“Well, we are like twins.” Princess Twilight said.
“And we both know you, pretty well by now.” The other Twilight added.
Sunset found her cheeks turning a little red. “Okay point taken, I don’t think I’ve ever talked to both of you at the same time. It’s like hearing a strange echo. I can’t explain it.” Sunset had on her black leather jacket and under it was a short orange shirt. She had on a necklace with her cutie mark symbol on it.
The two Twilights were dressed the same, both with short purple skirts sporting their cutie marks on the sides. A light purple top. Princess Twilight had left her hair down where the other Twilight had hers up in a ponytail and had her signature black-rimmed glasses.
“Why did you want to see me, Sunset?” Princess Twilight asked gesturing with her hand.
I hadn’t planned on this world’s Twilight to be here at the same time you were. Sunset wanted to say out loud. Her blue eyes sparkled. “I haven’t seen you in a while, figured we could catch up.”
The other Twilight noticed a slight difference in Sunset. She’s acting so strange. Before Princess Twilight came through, we were laughing and talking. Like old friends. Yet, at heart, Sunset’s still a pony same as this Twilight… She paused looking away from them, and took in a breath. Don’t. She ordered herself and felt her heart squeeze in response. I’m not even from that world…
Sunset caught the sound the other Twilight had made. “Hey, should I ask you if you’re okay?”
“I’m fine Sunset.” She said and didn’t look back at Sunset.
“I’ll admit this is so weird.”
“Yeah, it is.” The other Twilight said turning back around to face Sunset.
Princess Twilight’s lips formed into a thin line. I’ve heard the ‘I’m fine’ line from the other me from Rarity and Spike before. “Are you two having issues? I am the Princess of friendship after all.”
The other Twilight’s jaw dropped open. “Problems us? Um…no…”
“You’re sounding like Rarity…unicorn Rarity that is.” Princess Twilight replied when the other Twilight’s voice trailed off. “She and Spike…um…”
Sunset crossed her arms over her chest and looked at both of them. “What happened Princess Twilight, I got to know.”
“Well, you might want to set down for this one.” Princess Twilight replied with a smile.
The three of them walked over to a bench that was inside of the forest near the school Sunset took a seat alongside the other Twilight.
“I’m curious, what is your Spike in your world, I know where he looks just like my Spike.” The other Twilight asked.
“In Equestria, he’s a fire-breathing dragon.” Princess Twilight replied.
“A dragon?” Her eyes widened. “Spike is a dragon in your world?”
“Uh-huh, That didn’t stop the two of them.” Princess Twilight grinned at Sunset.
The other Twilights’ eyes widened at the grin. “What are you getting at, why are you grinning?”
“Two hearts from different worlds can work out.” Princess Twilight said. I know Sunset has made this world her own, she knows it better than I do. I know she wants to stay here.
The other Twilight sat down on a bench across from them.
“You two reminded me of Spike and Rarity and it looks like I was right.” Princess Twilight added.
Those words caused the other Twilight to look up at her. “Did you have a connection to Twilight?” She could feel her cheeks turning red at even asking.
Princess Twilight felt her heart skip a beat and heat rush to her cheeks. “Well, yes, but my home is in Equestria.” She caught a smile from Sunset. “Is this why you invited me here Sunset?”
Sunset took in a deep breath and spoke up. “Princess Twilight, I had asked you here hoping I could convince you to stay here. However, I see that would have been the wrong choice to ask you.”
The other Twight’s jaw hit the floor at this revelation. She could feel the sides of her lips wanting to curve into a smile. She used her finger to push her glasses back up on her nose.
Princess Twilight blew out a breath. “I know how close we are Sunset; however, I have Equestria to rule over. I didn’t want to hurt your feelings, so I’m glad you found another.” Who just happened to look exactly like me, boy is that ever weird.
“Thanks, Princess Twilight,” Sunset said getting up off the bench, walking over, and sitting down beside the other Twilight.
The other Twilight sat there in total shock, trying to process what had just happened.
What Twilight had said about Rarity and Spike popped back into her head. “Hold on…are those two together?”
Princess Twilight smiled. “Spike hit a growth spurt and matured. He’s a little taller than your average pony now, toned, and muscular. That caught Rarity’s eye, plus everypony already thinks there is an item anyway.” She laughed. “Rarity finally gave in to the longing in her heart, plus Spike’s unending kindness towards, her and the fact that he knows her better than any pony.”
“A dragon and a unicorn…together…” The other Twight said. “Two hearts from different worlds-” Her breath caught in her throat when she felt Sunset’s arm come around her back and her hand grips the side of her shoulder.
“Just like us.” She smiled. “If that’s what you want.”
The other Twilight could feel her glasses starting to steam up a little. She let out a high pitch “Yes-” Clearing her throat, she added. “Yes, yes, yes.”
“So was that a, yes?” Sunset asked.
The other Twilight grinned at that and pulled Sunset into a hug.
Princess Twilight leaned back on the bench, and she could feel the cutie mark that was still a part of her vibrate a little on her hips. It’s kinda strange that the map leads me here. Guess this was meant to be…
