It was another day at the ranch when a scroll came through the portal for Megan, Danny, and Molly Williams to read about being allowed to compete in the Sisterhooves Social.

As Megan read the scroll, she mentioned, "Competing in this event would be great for me and Molly."

Danny, then asked, "Who can I complete with since there is three of us?"

Megan then stated, "Danny, you couldn't compete in this event regardless especially since the Sisterhooves Social is only for girls that happen to be sisters and you happen to be a boy."

"How come you two are allowed to compete in an event that is normally for ponies?" asked Danny.

"We're allowed to compete as long we're sisters, so it doesn't matter what animal we happen to be," replied Molly.

Megan then said to Molly, "We better start leaving for Equestria now before it will be too late to register."

The two went through the portal over to Sweet Apple Acres to attend the event where they met Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity along with their sisters Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle, who were also of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

Unfortunately, Danny felt left out and decided to go to Equestria himself over to Ponyville and meet the rest of the Mane 6 that included Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie as well as Spike over by the castle.

As he approached them, he asked, "How come none of you are attending the Sisterhooves Social?"

Twilight mentioned, "In all honestly, I don't find such an event to be in my best interest.  Also, I don't have a sister to start with, so I wouldn't be able to compete in it anyway despite how athletic Shinning Armor can be.  Unlike him, I'm pretty much the opposite, and I would rather spend my time reading books rather than being in some silly race."

Fluttershy stated, "I don't have a sister either, plus my brother, Zephyr Breeze couldn't care less about this event anyway."

Pinkie Pie then weighed in and said, "Although I have three sisters, Marble Pie, Maud Pie, and Limestone Pie, the Sisterhooves Social causes divisions amongst each other no matter who we pair up with.  In order, to avoid sibling rivalry, we just avoid this race altogether and do other things instead."

Spike noted, "I have never known any of my siblings or even the rest of my family since I have been with Twilight my whole life after being hatched.  In a way she is sort of a sister and a mother to me.  Nonetheless, I can't compete anyway since I happen to be a boy to start with."

After hearing what they had to say Danny then thought, "Maybe it would be nice if I knew what it would be to have a brother since I already have two sisters who don't spend that much time with me for the most part."

Twilight then suggested, "Perhaps you can spend some time with Spike."

"I don't know if I should do this, Twilight, because you might need me for something." said Spike.

"Just do this for Danny especially since he is feeling left out right now, plus I have Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy that can help me with whatever I need in your absence." replied Twilight.

"That would be very nice of you Twilight!" shouted Danny.

Both Danny and Spike went wondering around Ponyville trying to look for something good to do, but then thought about it as they headed towards Sweet Apple Acres.

Danny then thought, "Maybe we can disguise as girls and show how good we are at the Sisterhooves Social."

Spike then claimed, "I think this is a bad idea, because we might end up getting exposed."

"With the right clothing and the way, we sound, we just might pull it off." replied Danny.

Back at the event, Megan and Molly were set to register for the race.  At first the judges had some issues in claiming that they shouldn't be allowed to compete due to not being ponies.  Then Megan showed the scroll she was given in claiming that there was no rule against other creatures including humans from entering in which they had to accept them or face Princess Celestia herself for refusal to do so.  Before starting the race, Megan hugged and petted Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Applejack to greet them while Molly did the same for the Cutie Mark Crusaders.  As they were set to get ready, they heard that there was going to be a last-minute entry for another team when they heard the names of both Danielle and Spectra that got many of them wondering who they were and where they came from.  Just before the race started, Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy decided to go over and watch the race from the stands even though they couldn't seem to figure out where exactly Danny and Spike went or even had a clue about what they were up to.

While the events were ready to begin, Megan was pretty suspicious on the latest contestants, and thought, "For some reason, those two looks pretty familiar."

However, Molly told Megan, "Come on Megan, we have to get ready for the first event."

Meanwhile, Spike was asking Danny, "Do you really think we can pull this off?"

Danny answered, "As long as we don't give away anything, they will never know."

One of the first events was a singing contest with the Williams sisters showing how good they were at singing, while both Danny and Spike had to make sure that when they were doing their songs, they had to make sure that they weren't giving away their real voices, which gave them the win for the event.

The next event involved bobbing for apples, which brought a challenge to Danny and Spike.  They both had a fear that they had to be very careful that their wigs wouldn't fall off and would reveal who they really are.  In order to make sure it wouldn't happen, they either had to do it very slowly, which would raise suspicions from others, or forfeit the event altogether.  The two decided the former but chose to give up intentionally due to the fear of exposing themselves, which gave the event to Megan and Molly.

Even the other events made it difficult for Danny and Spike, because some of them such as cheering and doing talents could also make them expose their real identities.  In one of them, Spike's wig fell off making Danny having to distract the crowd so that they wouldn't notice Spike trying to put it back on as the same was done vice versa in another event.

As the race came to mark the final event, Megan and Molly were tied with Danielle and Spectra and knew that the final race would truly determine the winners, though Megan was still pretty suspicious about them.

Nonetheless, the race had started with those two teams pretty much dominating the race while the other groups were lagging behind.  Throughout much of the race those two were very much neck and neck.  However, what Danny and Spike didn't know was that as they got to finish line, they lost their disguises along the way which shocked everyone and were disqualified by the judges for lying about who they were giving the race to Megan and Molly as they became the winners of this year's Sisterhooves Social.

"What exactly got you two into doing this?" asked Megan.

"It was more of Danny's idea!" shouted Spike.

Danny then explained, "I just didn't want to feel left out.  Being the only brother among two sisters can really make you feel as if you're the odd one out.  For the most part, there aren't that many things I can even do with either you or Molly since you're both are girls and I happen to be a boy.  At other times, I'm jealous of the both of you always being able to do things together.  If you want to be mad at me for what me and Spike did, then I will just have to accept that.  Overall, we're sorry for what we did."

Molly stated, "Danny, there is nothing wrong with expressing how you feel about this.  However, even I don't always get along with Megan.  The fact she is older than both of us make me jealous because she can do so many things that neither of us can do."

After hearing both of her siblings, Megan then mentioned, "Sometimes, I'm jealous about both of you as well.  Being the oldest means that I have more responsibility whether it comes to taking care of either of you or having to do more chores on the ranch that neither of you had to do.  If you think being older is better, then you both are sadly mistaken, because there are times when even I wish I was younger and didn't have to those stuff.  Although I will accept both you and Spike's apology, I don't ever want to see either of you doing that ever again."

The three all hugged each other as the judges and crowd was touched by what they displayed.

After seeing what Danny did, Spike then went over to the Mane 6 and the Cutie Mark Crusaders and asked, "Do any of you think that I'm the odd one out for being the only boy in a group of girls or even a dragon with a group of ponies?"

Twilight stated, "Spike, you're important to us no matter what your gender is."

Rainbow Dash mentioned, "Whether you're a boy or a girl, you're still awesome to us."

Applejack said, "Even as a dragon, you're still someone important to us."

Rarity answered, "Darling, there's nothing wrong with a boy being friends with girls and vice versa."

Pinkie Pie explained, "Being a boy or even a dragon doesn't mean that we can't have fun with you."

Fluttershy explained, "I'm friends with a lot of creatures including humans such as Megan and her siblings, so I don't see why I can't be friends with a dragon like you."

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo said to Spike in unison while hugging him, "You're fun to be around no matter who you are!"

The Mane 6 then hugged Spike as well while everyone else also felt touched by what they heard.

After the Sisterhooves Social ended, the Williams siblings went back home through the portal with Danny congratulating both Megan and Molly for winning the blue ribbon as they displayed in their room back at the ranch, while Spike was glad to no longer have any awkward feelings when either being amongst creatures of either the other gender or even species.
