Equestria was in a complete state of celebration and preparation for the event of the century. Word had traveled far and wide along with the fact that royals from all over were all converging at Canterlot for the knighting of the hero of Earth known as Martin Fairbridges. Usually such events were not AS popular with some citizens but in this case it was an extremely unique since a HUMAN not a pony was being knighted by Princess Celestia, especially since he helped saved Equestria on THREE occasions. Martin and his friend Alan along with Applejack and Rainbow Dash returned from Earth from a vacation a day previously and were also being prepped for the day’s events on their individual worlds.
Of course Pinkie Pie was placed in charge of the celebration plans which she absolutely was all on board for. The certain cotton candy colored mare was overlooking a check list when a certain griffin landed behind her.
Gilda glanced at the list, “Huh…what’s with all the decorations? Is this your going away party?”
Pinkie giggled, “That’s silly! It’s for a friend of mine actually.”
Gilda smirked at her and spoke with heavy sarcasm, “Who’s the lucky pony?”
Pinkie brought her into a tight hug, “It’s not a pony actually. It’s for MARTIN!!”
A legion of party cannons went off as an upbeat tune started as Pinkie danced around the ballroom.
“There's a party here in Equestria
There's excitement in the air
Ponies pouring in from near and far
Cause Martin’s going to be a knight!”
Gilda was pulled onto a bench as Lotus and Aloe began to work on her claws and talons while other ponies worked on her feathers surprising her so much that she couldn’t even react as Pinkie leaned on the bench beside.
“There's a party here in Equestria
Everypony will be there
Even if you're not a princess or a King!”
Gilda looked at her now groomed self and cried out in surprise as she flew off as Pinkie yelled after her.
“Do something with your hair!”

Lupe and Luna were sifting through various dresses as Lupe sang to her reflection.
“I mustn't wear an outfit that's naughty.
Luna jokingly conjured a turban on her head.
“A turban that's unravelling just won't do.”
Lupe showed Luna some earings to which Luna pointed out.
“Those earrings are tasteless and gaudy.”
Lupe pouted as she placed them down as Luna smiled and said.
“You're gonna look gorgeous when I get through.”

Rainbow Dash was helping to position clouds and fireworks.
“There's a party here in Equestria
So I'm going' to paint the town
If you want to see what colors are?”
Dash nodded as she revved her wings toward Ponyville.
“Follow me around!”
Dash then flew above Ponyville as everypony sang in unison.
“Martin’s getting knighted
And it's gonna be the event of the century!”
Alan was sitting atop a roof wearing a tux when Rainbow landed next to him as they both smiled.
“My buddy's getting' knighted and you're all gonna see!”
Just how much he can do!”

Pinkie was wheeling various objects into Canterlot.
“You've heard of your Safari Bar Mitzvahs!”
She then donned a tiki mask as Zecora smiled.
“You've all been to a luau sweet sixteen.”
She then grabbed a platter and sniffed.
“Well nothing of them compare to what this is
The food will be delicious, by evening you'll be bursting!”

A posh unicorn couple stood on a balcony as they looked at the festivities.
“There's a party here in Equestria
But we're not sure that we'll go
For although the Princess is hosting…”
Pinkie stuck her head out of a potted plant.
“The VIP is awfully low.”
Pinkie bumped them onto a trampoline below and then she soon landed in a wagon of pillows.

A pony reporter for the local gazette stared at others in attendance.
“Now we take you down to the palace
Where everypony has celebrated all night long
Without evil and malice
Everypony’s is happy! What could possibly go wrong?”

Three cloaked individuals observed the proceedings with sinister mirth.
“There's a party here in Equestria
And we're gonna rule them all!”
The middle one with gold eyes brought them into a huddle.
“While they're all munching caviar
Create a small disturbance
I'll sneak up from behind.”

Pinkie walked with the princess as she checked things off.
“We've ordered just a few tasteful flowers
And valets who will carefully park for you.”

Applejack tapped her hoof with Rarity as she sang,
“Those three have been dressing for hours!”
The CMC walked down the stairs in fine dresses as Applejack adjusted Applebloom’s bow with a smile.
“Girls you look just lovely and so grown up too,”

Pinkie waltzed into the main hall.
“There's a party here in Equestria
Guests are filling up the room
But there's something missing, but what is it?”
Alan looked around as Rainbow turned to him.
“Where’s Martin dude?”

Martin sat in his Equestrian living room as he looked at the box containing his dress clothes as he looked out at the town from the window and nervously smiled only for a knock to be heard at his front door. He approached the door and opened it to reveal Alan and Rainbow Dash who walked past him into the house’s living room.
Rainbow pointed at the cuckoo clock on the wall, “You’re going to be late.”
Alan looked at Martin with slight concern, “You okay man?”
Martin slowly nodded, “I’m just a little nervous is all.”
Alan looked confused at him as both he and RD asked, “Why?”
Martin sighed as he gestured outside.
“There's a party here in Equestria
And the party's all for me
Just look at where I am
My life has completely changed.”

Near Canterlot on the train, Applejack looked out the window and sang dreamily.
“There's a party here in Equestria
And I can't believe it's true
After all this waiting, here we are
Still the happiest pair.”

Martin looked at himself in the mirror as he combed his hair,
“I never, ever had a real love.”

Applejack straightened up.
“I never, ever had a real true friend.”
Both of them soon sung in unison
"Someone who could just understand me..."
Rainbow Dash banged on the door yelling.
“Hey, c'mon, Martin, this mush has gotta end!”
Martin walked out dressed in an outfit that was a little similar to Shining Armor’s humanized clothes except it had silver trim and a much deeper red. Pinkie then burst into the house with an oversized pocket watch.
Pinkie tapped the clock.
“There's a party here in Equestria!”
And it's starting right away!"
She threw Martin’s dress boots to him which he donned immediately,
“Let's getcha dressed, 'cause you're the star!”
Martin pulled on a pair of white gloves with a smile as both ponies and Alan sang to Martin as they all walked out the door.
“Hey, c'mon, you’re being knighted today!”
Pinkie immediately hopped on Martin’s back as all four took to the air at break neck speed zipping and maneuvering between buildings as ponies all looked up and yelled.
“Martin's getting knighted and it's gonna be
The ceremony of the century
Amazing how Martin could've come so far...”
Twilight was out front of the castle as she saw Martin approaching and smiled.
“He’s really getting knighted.”
Spike grinned as well.
“He’s really getting knighted.”
Fluttershy jumped in place
“He’s really getting knighted.”
Pinkie pointed ahead.
“Look at all those guests!”
Applejack smiled
“He’s really getting knighted.”
Martin then landed as Alan patted him on the back.
“You’re getting knighted dude!”
Martin smiled as the six and Lupe joined him as he smiled brightly and proclaimed.
“I’M REALLY GETTING KNIGHTED!”
The entire crowd followed in as every being present sang.
“He’s really getting knighted.”
At the party in Equestria!!
Such a sight to see
Come on, go with me
To the party in Equestria!”
Pinkie was still grooving as a few guards watched her confused, “OH YEAH GONNA PARTY! Party! Someone try to stop me! Oh yeah….,” she noticed the stares and blushed embarrassed as she quietly said, “Heheh…sorry.”
Pinkie Pie then slowly inched inside the main hall.
Thought i would kick things off with a bang in the form of a MUSICAL NUMBER!
