The Majesty’s Arrival

by AmethystMajesty25

Chapter 1 (Remake)

Hmm, now where do I begin with this?

…Oh, I know.

My name is Amethyst Majesty and I just moved in to Canterlot City. And as of now, I'm getting ready to enter my first day of high school on a Friday.

It was a sunny morning in Canterlot City and I was at home doing push-ups before eating breakfast, taking a bath, and getting changed.

Minutes later, I arrived at my school, Canterlot High.

“So this is Canterlot High, huh? Interesting.” I said and walked straight forward to the school. I opened the doors and looked around the main area. “Not gonna lie, the inside of the school looks really nice. Good thing that first class hasn’t started yet. Now time to go find the principal’s office.”

One minute later, I entered the principal's office and was given a class schedule by the principal.

"Hello. My name is Principal Celestia and I am the principal of Canterlot High School. Welcome to CHS.”

I read my class schedule on a piece of paper. I had Chemistry, English, Geography, Art, Math, Computer Science, and Physical Education.

“Thank you Principal Celestia.” I shook her hand.

“You're very welcome, mister...”

“Amethyst. Amethyst Majesty.”

“Enjoy your first day of school, Amethyst.” Principal Celestia told me.

“Thanks. Enjoy the rest of your day as well, Principal Celestia.” I said and exited her office and then walked to my first class.

I entered Algebra class after going to my locker first and sat on an available desk, waiting to get started. Then, three minutes before the bell rang, a certain… girl, entered the classroom. From the very first moment I saw her, I was starting to get attracted by her, just like the other boys in the classroom. She had curly purple hair, beautiful sapphire eyes, lovely angelic voice, beautiful dress, purple skirt, purple boots, and golden bracelets. Her poise and appearance was just so unique. And most importantly, she was absolutely beautiful. She sat in her desk away from me, waiting to get the day started.

I asked the boy with a blonde mohawk next to my desk and whispered, “Psst, who's that girl?”

He pointed out and whispered, “Oh, her? That's Rarity. She works as a fashionista in a boutique.”

“Hmm, interesting.” I nodded.

The bell rang and the teacher walked in to the classroom.

“Morning, class.”

The class responded, “Good morning, Mr. Doodle.”

Mr. Doodle announced, “Before we get started, I'd like for you all to sit at your assigned desk with my newest seating arrangement. Go!”

Some of my classmates moved out of their seats to their assigned desks and Rarity was one of them and sat on her desk in front of me. I was surprised at first, but I let things flow and not get excited about it.

The teacher continued, “Alright, now that the seating arrangement is settled, my next announcement is that I will like to introduce our new student here,” He looked at the list of names on his clipboard. “Uh, Amethyst Majesty? Are you here?”

I raised my hand, “Here! Present.”

“Ah, good. You're here. Now with that's taken care of. Let's get this class started.”

Minutes later, after Algebra class was over, I went to my locker to put my Algebra textbook away and closed my locker before going to my next class. However, I saw three mischievous dudes known as the Diamond Dogs, approaching Rarity, trying to get her books from her locker.

“Hey lady,” The medium-sized punk greeted her and flexed his bicep. “You got big strong men to help you carry your books.”

She replied, “Dream on, boys.”

The little dude frowned, “Time to teach her a lesson.”

I did not like where it was going on. I felt like they’re going to do something bad to her. So, I approached the three bullies and told them, “Hey. Didn't you hear the lady. She said no.”

“Well, well, well! What do we have here, boys?” Rover said.

Fido responded, “Another victim that is about to get chewed...”

Spot continued, “By us.”

The Diamond Dogs introduced themselves.

“Rover.”

“Fido.”

“Spot.”

“The…” The Diamond Dogs were interrupted by yours truly.

“It doesn't matter what your name is!” I told the Diamond Dogs. “Because let's face some facts, I ain't afraid of you three French poodles in my path. So let her go and walk away peacefully.” I stated as the girl was touched by my bravery and determination.

“What did you just call us?!” Spot questioned, glaring at me.

“Easy boys, I got this.” Rover informed his buds as they nodded. “Listen kid, I don't know much about you, but we’re going to give you two options. One, you walk away and you'll leave us alone. Two, you can stay here and get yourself beat up.” Rover offered as Fido and Spot sinisterly giggled. “So, what do you say, do we have a deal?”

I looked at Rover’s hand, offering me his handshake. After what Rover and his boys were trying to do, I cannot accept his offer.

So, I told him, “No, I do not negotiate with bullies. So you can take that offer and shove it up on all three of your candy asses.”

The Diamond Dogs didn't like what I spat out from my mouth. Now that they got my attention, Rover said, “Well then, I think it's time for you to be taught a lesson.”

I gave them a demonstration by showing some of my martial arts moves and not hitting them. I performed some punches followed up by some spin kicks and high kicks. Rarity smiled as the three bullies got scared, shaking in their boots.

Rover told me, “Maybe we'll teach you that lesson… some other time.” After that, the three bullies ran away and went to their class.

“Thanks. That was really great,” Rarity smiled.

I replied, “No problem. I'll see you later.”

She stopped me and said, “Hey. I'm Rarity. You're from my first class and you're new around here?”

“Yeah. I'm Amethyst. Amethyst Majesty. That's a beautiful name you got there, Rarity. Pleasure to meet you.”

“The pleasure's all mine, darling. And thanks.” She said and blushed. “Um, listen. Do you want to get together and hang out some time? You know, nothing major.” Rarity offered.

“Yeah. That sounds cool.” I smiled.

Rarity nodded, “Okay.”

“Well, I'll see you then. Bye.” I smiled. As I walked off, I started to have a strange feeling inside of me. I don't know what it is, but I gotta focus on school first.

“Bye.” Rarity replied as I walked around to find the principal’s office to get my class schedule while Rarity smiled happily, feeling like she was starting to have a crush on me.

Hours later, it was lunchtime and I went to grab my lunch until someone called.

“Hey! New kid.”

I approached three boys who were sitting on their table eating their lunch and one of them was my classmate from Algebra class.

“Uh, what are you doing, Button Mash?” The boy with wavy hair said. “We save that seat for cheerleaders, prom queens, and supermodels.”

“Well, I'm Amethyst Majesty. So how do you guys know each other?”

“We're friends. We do karate together after school. I'm Bright Idea. This is Zap Jam and Button Mash.”

“We don't just do karate, Bright Idea. These fists are registered weapons. In fact, I've already got a few calls about joining the Navy Seals.”

“Navy seals? You're afraid of baby seals.” Button Mash said as the boys and I giggled.

“I gotta ask. What are you guys wearing? You got pony ears, a tail, and a t-shirt.” I said.

“Oh, it's a sport rally gear for our school, the Wondercolts. Did you even read the school pamphlet?” Bright Idea asked.

I answered, “Nope.”

Then, one guy with orange hair, wearing a red and black jumpsuit threw a meatball at the back of Bright Idea’s head.

Bright Idea yelled, turning around, “Gah!”

He and three of his pals laughed and celebrated.

Zap Jam laughed, “Hah! That's awesome. The guy from the Red Dragon dojo just whaled you with--”

Then, they threw another meatball at Zap Jam too. He said, “Not cool, man. Not cool.”

As the four bullies laughed, I told my new friends, “Aren't you gonna do something about it?” The boys fell silent, but then I realized, “Wait, I thought you guys knew karate.”

“Yes, we do.” Bright Idea stood up until the bullies gave him the mean looks. He sat down and answered, “But they know it better.”

“It's cool. I got this.” I stood up from my table and marched towards the Red Dragon punks.

I approached the Red Dragons and asked them, “Hey, I like your outfits. You guys from the cheerleading squad?”

“No. Well, Fume, Charcoal, and Backdraft used to.” The Red Dragon leader said as the three looked down in embarrassment. He stood up and said, “So, you got a problem or something?” He showed off his karate moves in front of me and everyone was intimidated by it.

“I didn't come over here to fight, man.” I walked away until the Red Dragon leader tried to strike first with a punch, but I caught it with my right hand. “Okay, you probably shouldn't have done that.”

I twisted his arm, spun him around, and kicked him right on the table, tumbling him down until the rest of his pals stood up to fight me. I blocked and dodged their attacks until I grabbed an empty chair. I kicked the chair to Clump, but he caught it. He jumped over the chair and was ready to attack, but I immediately kicked him and made him fell over the seat. I dodged the other two Red Dragons’ attacks and I ran towards a table where Rarity is sitting and jumped onto the table. Rarity stepped back as Fume was running towards me. He dived in for a tackle, but I jumped over him and Fume slid down in defeat. I glanced over and saw Rarity waving and smiling at me. I winked and smiled back until I performed a B-Twist from the table as I dodged Backdraft’s kicks. I ducked under his punch and grabbed his arm, until I planted his face with a bowl of pudding.

I told my opponent, “Enjoy your pudding.”

The Red Dragon leader returned and was ready to go for a punch, but I shielded myself with his comrade. He stopped and tried his left side, but I stopped that too. He looked down to see if he can take out my legs, but I hit my hostage’s leg and he kicked his own leader to the ground. I grabbed Backdraft’s arm and pulled him to the other side, hitting his leader with his rear and monkey flipped Backdraft to the trash bin. I did a kip-up after that and saw a plate of three meatballs on my table as the Red Dragon leader got up slowly, reeling in from the pain he took. I went over there and kicked the meatballs up and hit two of 'em with a tornado kick and one more with a spinning hook kick. The meatballs were launched right at his face and ran away from the cafeteria until I surveyed the mess that the punks and I made. So, I scrambled and left the cafeteria quickly too.

After that, the atmosphere calmed down and Zap Jam wondered, “Holy moly! How on earth did he do that, yo?”

“I don't know, but that was the most incredible thing I've ever seen in my life since getting a microscope on Christmas Day.” Bright Idea smiled.

Button Mash suggested, “We gotta tell Sensei Quickstrike and Wisecrack about this.”

Bright Idea nodded, “Yep.”

Zap Jam replied, “Totally.”

Meanwhile, a group of girls saw me ran out of the cafeteria and they were confused.

“What was that about?” The lavender girl asked.

“I have no idea,” The cowgirl replied and entered the cafeteria until they saw what transpired earlier as the rest of the Red Dragons retreated.

“Rarity, what happened here?” The girl with rainbow hair questioned her.

Rarity answered, “The boy took down those bullies earlier. Guess that'll teach them a lesson.”

“Really? Did he really do all of that?” The girl with pink cotton candy hair said.

“Yeah. He was so brave and handsom…” Rarity blushed. “What am I saying? He did the right thing. That's all.”

“Well I'm glad he stood up to those jerks,” The shy girl continued.

“Eeyup. Otherwise, it could've gone bad.” The cowgirl nodded.

The lavender girl stated, “He may be nice, but he could've handled the situation peacefully without getting himself in trouble,” Her friends gave her the cold shoulder, raising their eyebrows and giving her the Really? expression. The lavender girl said, “Just saying.”

They all sat on their desk and planned out how they're going to get the Fall Formal crown to their friend from her rival, Sunset Shimmer.

After school, two senseis introduced themselves in a commercial.

“Hi. I'm Sensei Quickstrike.”

“And I'm Sensei Wisecrack.”

They announced in unison, “Together, we run the Fushigi-Do Karate Academy.”

“Fun day at the beach ruined by a gang of ninjas?” Sensei Quickstrike asked.

Four ninjas appeared and attacked the senseis, but Sensei Quickstrike blocked their attacks and took him all down with his kicks and judo throws. “Wipeout!” Sensei Wisecrack shouted and pretended like he was surfing.

“So come on down to the Fushigi-Do Karate Academy today and I'll teach you how to throw a foot!” Sensei Wisecrack said.

Sensei Quickstrike continued, “Fist!”

Sensei Wisecrack wore a sombrero, “Fiesta!”

Sensei Quickstrike turned off the TV and Sensei Wisecrack told the marketing guy, “Now that's what you call marketing, fella. What'd you think?”

“I think this is the worst dojo in the Fushigi chain.” The marketing guy said.

“What?” Sensei Quickstrike and Wisecrack replied.

“None of your students are advancing. If you don't win two belts at the next tournament, we're closing you down.”

“Closing down?” Sensei Wisecrack questioned.

The adults looked on as Button Mash was practicing his dancing moves while Bright Idea and Zap Jam were eating pizza.

“Sweet dance moves, Button Mash. We are definitely going to need it for the Fall Formal.” Zap Jam commented.

The marketing guy exited the dojo and the senseis approached them with disappointment. Sensei Quickstrike asked his students, “Guys, what are you doing? They said if we don't win two belts at our next tournament, they're shutting us down.”

Zap Jam suggested, “Yo senseis, you wanna win some belts? You should give that new kid we met at school in here.”

“He was awesome!” Button Mash cheered. “At lunch, he took out four Red Dragons all by himself.”

Sensei Wisecrack explained to them, “I don't care about some slap fight at school. Martial arts isn't about beating kids up in the lunchroom. It's about getting better through hard work and discipline.”

Zap Jam then suddenly belched and the two senseis disappointingly motioned their arms. Zap said, “What? You should be happy it came out the right end.”

“There he is! That's the new kid I was talking about!” Button Mash called as I entered the room with a new bo staff.

Sensei Quickstrike sighed, “Amethyst's not a new student. He's already one and he's my son.”

The teenage boys were shocked about this news and they all said in unison, “YOUR SON?!”

I greeted them, “Hey guys.”

“Where have you been? Wait, where did you get that astronaut bo staff?” Sensei Wisecrack asked me.

“It was a gift from the Red Dragons and Sensei Brick Break asked me to join them, but I turned it down. So now, we can all use it.” I answered.

Sensei Quickstrike sighed, “Son, I'm glad you made the right decision, and this bo staff should come in handy. However, I'm disappointed in you. My rule states that students from this dojo are forbidden from entering other dojos, especially the Red Dragon.”

“What? You can't forbid me from doing anything.”

“Oh yes I can! Because I'm your father!” Sensei Quickstrike answered back.

“No you're not! I may be your student, but I am not your son! We're not even related. You know what, I'm outta here!” I angrily walked away.

“Fine, go ahead!” Sensei Wisecrack yelled as I exited the dojo. “Who needs him?”

The boys answered, “We do!”

Sensei Wisecrack then realized his mistake and he cost his opportunity to secure a win for his dojo. “What have I done?” He rushed to the door and repeatedly shouted, “Come back! Come back! Come back!”

And just like that, no response from yours truly.

Five minutes later, I came back to the Fushigi Dojo to see everyone packing the equipment, trophies, weapons, and other stuff in the boxes. Meaning that the senseis were closing their dojo down.

“Amethyst, you're back.” Sensei Quickstrike happily greeted me in relief.

“Save it. I'm just here to get my stuff. What's going on?”

Zap Jam explained, “We're closing down. No Amethyst, no belts, no dojo.”

Bright Idea looked around, feeling sad. “This is the only place I felt I really belonged. I'll let my bully know I'm available.”

Button Mash said, “Now my mom’s gonna send me to a private, boarding school for boys. I don't even have a girl to talk to anymore.”

Zap Jam spoke up, “Guess I'm a lone wolf again. And that's how I like it.”

“You still have a sister though,” Sensei Wisecrack noted.

“Quiet, you! Don't think for a second I'm gonna miss any of you meatbags.”

As Zap Jam and his buds were ready to pack up, I stepped in and spoke up. “Hold on, guys. You can't give up right now. The tournament is coming up tomorrow and we only have one shot to save this dojo. Bright Idea, show me how you break a board.”

Bright Idea replied, “Break a board? I can barely cut a well-cooked piece of fish.”

I told him, “Just believe in yourself and do it.”

“I can't. I tried doing the first time and the board didn't break. It's all because I'm skinny and get picked on a lot like a baby bird. I mean that--”

“Do it, Bright!” I shouted.

I gave Bright Idea the confidence he needed and he yelled like a warrior as he chopped the wooden board down with his hand. Everyone stood there in shock as Bright Idea said, “Holy smokes! I did it!”

Zap Jam commented, “That ain't no baby bird, yo. Uh-uh.”

Everyone gave Bright Idea high fives while I was satisfied of how I handled my friend’s problem. Sensei Quickstrike told me, “That was unbelievable, Amethyst. These guys are your friends. And you're right, we're not related. The reason why I adopted you is because you were all alone and you didn't have anyone to look out for you. So, I'm sorry that I snapped at you.”

“No, father. I should be the one saying sorry. I should have listened to you earlier about entering another dojo without your permission and not walk away. So, let's not walk away from our friends when they need us.”

My friends gave me fist bumps and understood my lesson.

“Fushigi?” Sensei Quickstrike pleaded.

I turned to see my friends wrapping their fist and I did the same. “Fushigi.”

Everyone celebrated in joy and unpacked everything, feeling motivated now more than ever. After that, we started training for hours. My senseis and I gave them demonstrations of performing the moves while my friends followed through. They may mess up, but they'll never give up. Then my senseis watched our martial arts moves and we synchronized in perfection.

“FUSHIGI!”

The next morning, it was time for the tournament in the Red Dragon dojo and the crowd was ready to witness something special.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Red Dragons.”

Yes, the students of our enemy dojo entered to show off their moves along with Sunset Shimmer and the Red Dragon’s sensei, Brick Break, hyping the crowd up.

“And now our visitors: the Fushigi Fighters!”

Oh yeah, we were cool and confident as ever as some of the crowd cheered while the rest booed. While we were going to our seats, I saw Rarity in the crowd cheering for us.

I had no idea they were coming and I walked up to the girls, “Um… what a surprise. I thought you were busy making dresses for the Fall Formal, Rarity.”

“Well, your friends put some flyers about the tournament in school and Zap told me you're going to be there. So, I decided to come by and watch you and your team win. That's all.”

I said, “That's great. Good for you, Rarity.”

Sensei Quickstrike called me, “Amethyst!”

“I gotta go now. I'll chat with you again, later.”

Rarity smiled, “Sounds great! Good luck!”

“Let the competition begin!”

“Okay, Button Mash is going first.” Sensei Quickstrike informed us while Pipsqueak kneeled and prayed.

“Aw, man.” I stood up and went on the mat to cheer him up. “Hey.”

Button Mash told me, “Amethyst, the guy I'm fighting is huge.”

“Oh, come on, he's not that big.” I turned around to see a classmate of mine from school was indeed big. His name was Bulk Biceps and he is definitely bulky all right. “Wow! What did they feed you, dude?”

Bulk Biceps called out Button Mash, “You're going down, little man.”

“I don't think I can do this.” Button Mash cried. “Even when I'm playing Rise of Tirek, Tirek always throws my OC around.”

“Button Mash, look, this is your day to change all of that. If losing to Tirek gets you angry, then use it. Okay?”

I went back to my seat and went back to cheering on for Button Mash as both opponents bowed. The bell rang and Button Mash concentrated on his opponent as he imagined seeing Bulk's face as Tirek's, laughing and ridiculing him.

“You going down!” Tirek laughed.

“Tirek!” Button Mash shouted.

Bulk became confused, “Huh?”

Button Mash ran towards Bulk and grabbed his arm, pulling him into an arm drag turning into an armbar. He pulled Bulk into submission until he tapped out. The Fushigi Fighters and the crowd cheered for Button Mash.

“He did it! We got our first belt.” Sensei Quickstrike smiled.

Bulk sat down in disappointment and Sensei Brick Break berated him, “How could you lose to a wimp like him?! What happened?!”

“I'm sorry, sensei. I got caught off guard. That's all,” Bulk answered and his sensei growled.

“Up next is the second round of the tournament. The Nunchaku Round.”

I informed Zap, “Okay, nunchucks are up next. Zap, all you gotta do is--”

“Save it, Amethyst. I got this.”

The crowd and Zap's team cheered and the next round was underway. Zap Jam was facing off against his opponent, his little sister.

Zap said, “Bolt.”

“Zap.”

“I hope you're ready to lose to your bro. Because when my team and I win, you'll be cleaning our dojo for a month.” Zap told his sister.

“Really? Well when my dojo and I win, you and your friends will be cleaning our dojo for the rest of your life.”

Zap groaned, “I did not think this through.”

“So, what do ya, say bro?”

“Game on, sis.”

Up first is the Red Dragons.

The bell rang and Sweet Bolt twirled her nunchucks until she performed a B-twist and she got into her fighting stance. “HA!”

The Red Dragons and the crowd cheered for her performance and Zap was impressed.

“Not bad, sis. Check this out.”

Zap Jam twirled his nunchucks back and forth, getting a groove on his momentum. “WHOO!” He shouted until his nunchucks hit him in the nuts, echoing through the crowd. Everyone winced after hearing that sound and I went to check on my bud.

“Are you okay, Zap?”

Zap groaned, “Everything is purple.”

The referee raised Sweet Bolt’s arm and won the second round. “How are you feeling, bro?”

Zap continued groaning.

Sweet Bolt assured her brother, “I'm sure you'll be fine. See you at the Red Dragon dojo tomorrow, Zappy.”

I helped him get up and walked to the bench as the next round was coming up.

Sensei Quickstrike informed his student, “Okay, Bright Idea, you're up next. If you can break more boards than your opponent, we win our second belt.”

“I'm ready, sensei,” Bright Idea was ready to go, but his oven mitts were still on.

“Would you please take off the oven mitts?” I told him.

Bright Idea stood up, “By oven mitts, do you mean weapon warmers?”

My team and I cheered on as Bright Idea and the Red Dragon leader bowed to each other.

“Up first is the Fushigi Fighters.”

“Give me three boards please,” Bright Idea ordered and the referee stacked another wooden board on top of the other.

“Yes! This might do it! One more belt and we're saved!” Sensei Quickstrike cheered.

The bell rang and Bright Idea took a deep breath and yelled, “AAAAAHHHH!” He chopped the three boards in half with one chop and we all cheered. He told his opponent, “Ha! Take that, punk!”

He scoffed, “Give me five boards, ref.”

The crowd was stunned and the ref put up five wooden boards while Sensei Brick Break was sinisterly smiling in pure joy.

Sensei Wisecrack scoffed, “You're kidding me, right? There's no way he can pull that--”

“AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!” And just like that, Bright Idea’s opponent broke five boards with one punch.

“…off.” Sensei Quickstrike finished his sentence and the referee raised the punk’s hand, signifying his win in the third round. My team and I were shocked, including Sensei Quickstrike. “Aw man, that's it. I have to move back in with my parents,” Sensei Quickstrike said.

Button Mash assured his teacher, “Sensei, we've still got a chance. Amethyst's doing the vertical peg kick.”

I was up next in the last round and the referee placed a peg hanging on a wooden pole on the mat while I stood face-to-face with my opponent, Sunset Shimmer. She said, “I was hoping we'd be on the same team, Amethyst. But now, I'm gonna have to take you down.”

“Ha! In your dreams, sunshine. All I need is one shot to win and it's all over.”

Then, Sensei Brick Break whispered to his student, “We can't let him win that belt, Garble,” He showed him a pencil, “You know what you have to do.” He broke the pencil in half and Garble understood his order.

While I was ready to go, Garble suddenly got up and tornado kicked the back of my leg. I fell down in pain while my friends and Rarity rushed in to check on me. Plus, Bolt and Bulk didn't like what they were seeing.

“Oh that is so wrong, Garble! Take him away!” Sensei Brick Break ordered, pretended to be disappointed and the referee escorted Garble out of the building.

I winced, “Sensei, I can't get up.”

Sensei Quickstrike begged, “Yes, you can, my son. You're the champ. You're the champ. You gotta get up. You gotta get up, champ!”

“Quickstrike, I can't get up because you're kneeling on my leg!”

“Oh sorry, my bad.” Sensei Quickstrike apologized and got up as he and Zap pulled me up from the mat to the bench. Sweet Bolt looked on in sadness and went to see her sensei.

“Bolt, Bulk, what are you two doing here? Get back in your seats. Sunset is going to knock down that peg so that we can say goodbye to Fushigi forever.” Sensei Brick Break informed her.

Bulk answered, “No. I didn't sign up to do this.”

Bolt stated, “I thought martial arts is about honor and respect. I can't believe you threw away just to get the Fushigi dojo closed. So you know what, we quit.”

“What?” Sensei Brick Break responded.

“And FYI, my name is not Bolt. It's Sweet Bolt, mister. You're nothing but a cheater... and a big baby.”

Sensei Brick Break shook his head and whined, “Nuh-uh, take that back, TAKE THAT BACK!”

Sweet Bolt and Bulk Biceps untied their black belts and threw it to the ground.

“Ugh, really?” Sensei Brick Break said in disgust while Bulk Biceps and Sweet Bolt walked away to sit alongside my team. He then called, “Sunset! Finish this!”

Sunset nodded and launched a tornado kick to knock off the peg. The Red Dragons cheered for Sunset and we were upset that she pulled it off. After that, the referee raised the height of the peg a bit. I hobbled on and Sweet Bolt came by to ask me, “So are you going to be able to do this?”

“I don't know.”

Rarity walked by and told me, “Your friends are counting on you, darling. I know you can do this.”

“If I do it, want to hang out later tonight?”

“Unfortunately, no. I gotta go back to making dresses for the Fall Formal. I'm really sorry, Amethyst.” Rarity explained.

“It's alright. I understand,” I hobbled on to the edge of the mat.

Bright Idea said, “I can't believe he's gonna launch off one foot. That's one bad mama-jama.”

I raised my arms up and Button Mash corrected him, “He's not launching off his foot. He's launching off his hands.”

“That's only been done once before,” Sensei Wisecrack remembered.

Sensei Quickstrike continued, “By a man named…”

“Mr. Fushigi.” The senseis said in unison.

Sweet Bolt and her new friends said in unison, “Whoa.”

I moved back from the mat and I was at a great distance between me and that peg. I looked on to my friends and I remembered their words of what would happen if I lose.

“Now my mom’s gonna send me to a private, boarding school for boys. I don't even have a girl to talk to anymore.”

“Don't think for a second I'm gonna miss any of you meatbags.”

“This is the only place I felt I really belonged.”

I looked back at the peg in determination and worked through the pain. So, I ran for a few steps, did a roundoff, turned it into a backflip kick, and knocked the peg off the pole. The peg was flying through the crowd and they ducked until it hit some random person, knocking him out of the bleachers. No one cared about that, but my team cheered and ran towards the mat to congratulate me.

“You did it, son! We got our belts and our dojo is safe,” Sensei Quickstrike cheered loudly.

Sensei Brick Break growled, “I hate Fushigi.” He clapped his hands and left the dojo along with his students.

Sensei Wisecrack informed his students, “Come on, guys. We're going home to celebrate.”

“You know what I'm feeling?” Zap asked.

I replied, “I think we're all feeling it.”

We all jumped kicked forward and the photographer took a picture of us. The next day, my sensei placed that picture of us in that pose titled, Fushigi Fighters, on the wall as a poster along with his other picture frames. Sensei Quickstrike wrapped his fist and vowed, “Fushigi!” After that, he walked away and went back to doing his job.

Back in the dojo, my friends and I were putting some stuff back in the dojo from the boxes.

“Okay, guys. Come on. Let's get to work, all right?” Amethyst ordered as Zap was about to eat his apple and tossed it, but missed the catch until his sister appeared along with Bulk Biceps. Bolt caught it with her shoe like a soccer player, lifted the apple up, and caught it.

“Sis, Bulk, what are you doing here?” Zap Jam asked.

Bulk answered, “Sweet Bolt and I quit the Red Dragon. You guys were all right in the tournament.”

Sweet Bolt answered, “But the way I see it, you need all the help you can get.”

I stepped in and said, “Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on a second. We appreciate that you stood up to the Red Dragons, but you guys are gonna just walk in here and assume you're gonna be a part of our dojo? You have to pass a test?”

“Okay,” Sweet Bolt answered as the boys and I stepped aside and stood face-to-face with three test dummies. “Ha ha ha ha ha!” She quickly knocked the dummies down one by one with a chop, front kick, and back chop.

We were very impressed and Sweet Bolt asked us, “How's that?”

“Impressive, Sweet Bolt.” I turned to my friends, “What do you think, guys?”

Zap Jam confirmed, “She's in.”

Button Mash nodded, “Got my vote.”

Bright Idea gave her a thumbs-up, “A+.”

Sweet Bolt smiled, looking satisfied and she was officially in the Fushigi Martial Arts Academy.
