My Little Pokémon

Short: Left in the Chaos

Equestria. Ponyville. Fluttershy's Cottage. Nightfall.

"Wow Discord. You've been spending time with your Pokemon more often?" Fluttershy was having a conversation with Discord and the Unown. A heap of them too. At least around 70 of them. They flew around the cottage as Bayleef, the one who was previously attacked by the Unown, stood in the corner, growling at them.

"Oh yes, yes. I didn't think I'd enjoy their company but these tiny letters know my style." Discord replied. "The moment I let them loose, I decided to see what they could do since I heard so much about them. I wasn't disappointed at all. We started messing around right after, doing whatever we wanted to."

"Really?" Fluttershy leaned in.

"Really. It's as if we are on the same wavelength. Now I don't have to worry about being chaotic myself when I have them by my side. We went on a little trip across the Pokemon World the other day to see what we could do and the results were not disappointing. To think, I've missed out on this."

"It's great that you're bonding with your Pokemon, Discord. They make things even more fun than they already are when they're by your side, don't they?" Fluttershy giggled. "Oh! Can you tell them to turn me into some Pokemon? I enjoyed it the previous time when they did so."

They chatted away with the Unown granting Fluttershy her wish. The Unown turned her into various Pokemon that she took interest in being. Which was basically all of them. And outside watching all of this happening was Discord's first Pokemon.

Krookodile.

Krookodile watched as Discord ended up spending far more time with the Unown than he ever did with Krookodile. In fact, Discord has never hung out with Krookodile for a day, an hour, a minute, or even a second. But these Unown were enough to keep him interested.

And Krookodile knew why this was the chaos. The Unown had something he didn't. The Unown could practically work in tangent with Discord by doing almost anything that they wanted. Krookodile didn't have that reality-warping luxury at all

Angel Bunny laughed at Krookodile as he knew what it felt like. Previously, everyone in Equestria had become so focused on Pokemon that regular animals are ignored. Granted, it's gotten much better recently, but that absence still happened for many. Angel Bunny revelled in this as Krookodile was now the one being ignored.

"Krook...!" Krookodile snarled, facing Angel Bunny who couldn't stop cracking up. Angel Bunny wiped a tear from his eyes before standing up. His laughing slowed down as he and Krookodile looked each other in the eyes for a bit.

After a moment of silence, Krookodile had punted Angel Bunny away in response to his laughter. But even after kicking Angel Bunny away, Krookodile still felt something major. Jealousy.

He couldn't compare to the Unown. Nothing in his arsenal or biology brought him close to the things that they could do. So, the Ground-Dark-Type had to think for a while. He heard Discord laughing within the cottage with constant red and golden lights from the Unown going off including various chaotic shenanigans.

However, despite this sense of jealousy and feeling of being left behind, knowing that he couldn't interest Discord, Krookodile turned to the one option that could grab Discord's attention and finally have his Pokemon Trainer notice him.

Become an Emissary of Chaos.

He wouldn't do it alone. Krookodile needed assistance. In his eyes, to cause chaos would be to have zero control over everything coming into fruition. And to do that, he requested the help of some of the Pokemon living here at the Pokemon House.

"Dile! Krookodile!" He spoke to them, telling them that they needed to come up with something so chaotic that it would be hard to stop. Anything at all. None of them were on board with this. These Pokemon were living quiet lives, well as quiet as it can be, in the Pokemon House. "Dile..." That was an issue for Krookodile. He still needed some help.

That's when his brain got to thinking again. Who or what could help him achieve his goal? The Pokemon of the Pokemon House certainly wouldn't help out. Then, with the snap of his claws, he remembered something. It should've been his first answer but it was perfect. There was something that could let him gain what he wanted.

The cauldron of Rift Magic.

Kept by Zecora within the Pokemon House, the cauldron of Rift Magic held the key to unpredictability. Krookodile glanced at the windows, now knowing what to do next. The cauldron was his new objective, but of course, getting it wouldn't be easy.

The cauldron could be found in the Electric-Type Room. Zecora was present there as well. Zecora acted as a nurse to some of the Pokemon here now that she was staying around until the Everfree Forest regenerated. She knew some neat tricks that could tend to these Strange and Wonderful Creatures.

Krookodile gently opened the door to the Electric Room, noticing Zecora. The Electric Room was by far the most dynamic out of all of them. For such speedy Pokemon, they needed a room where they could get a ton of movement with all the space they could need.

Krookodile spotted the cauldron as Zecora always took it with her. That was one problem that Krookodile could see. Most likely, Zecora wouldn't leave the cauldron alone. However, he knew that the only way for her to leave it is if she was heading elsewhere only to return to the same room. An example was taking a break. That was Krookodile's one chance but it was a rare one so another chance had to be created with his own intuition.

And as if Zecora was the perfect balance between good luck and bad luck, she also carried vials with her. Vials that could be used to take some of the Rift Magic within the cauldron as Zecora had some of them filled up. She was constantly experimenting with this unique form of magic, or as Pinkie Pie likes to nickname it, Fusion Magic due to some Equestrian Magic being added in there.

Krookodile shimmied into the Electric-Type Room, attempting to be stealthy due to his big body and heavy footsteps. He hid behind some of the pillars here. His body was just barely enough to hide behind it as his tail was sticking out. However, the moment he entered the room, some of the Pokemon had already noticed him. Mainly the Electric Rodent Family.

"Pichu?" A Pichu looked over at the shimmying Krookodile alongside Pachirisu and Togedemaru. Krookodile then got on all fours, lowering his body to also move quicker.

At least for the time being, Zecora was facing the Pokemon she was tending to, making the vials up for grabs at the moment. If he couldn't get the cauldron, which was impossible to grab, then the vials would do. Krookodile waved his tail, aiming to use it as a means to grab the vials instead of his claws.

"Chu? Pichu!" Pichu and the others went up to the Intimidation Pokemon, catching up to his antics.

"Dile?" Krookodile turned his head, seeing the Electric Rodents making their way here. So much for being sneaky as he had been noticed since day one. Krookodile's eyes shifted from Pichu to the vials to soon Zecora. The Electric-Types lunged at Krookodile, aiming to stop him.

Krookodile wanted multiple vials, however, he had to settle with just one. It would be a grab and run. The Ground-Dark-Type grabbed only one vial before then bolting off. Zecora, who was holding a Stunfisk, turned to see Krookodile jetting off with one of her Rift Magic vials.

The zebra narrowed her eyes, knowing that this could not lead to anything good. She would still tend to the Pokemon, but that one issue needed to be dealt with. And she knew of one Pokemon that could do so. Her Weavile.

"Krookodile!" Krookodile charged through Pichu and the others as there was nothing they could do to stop Krookodile. He was immune to their Electric Attacks anyway and plus, he was known as the Intimidation Pokemon for a reason. Krookodile laughed before then leaving the Electric Room.

"Weavile!" However, emerging out of the Poke Ball was Zecora's Weavile. Weavile already knew what to do upon his arrival. With Zecora's order, his goal was to retrieve the vial while Zecora took care of everyone else. "Weavile!"

Weavile was on the move, having speed that was on par with Electric-Type Pokemon and even Flying-Types. He had leapt over Pichu and the others giving chase to Krookodile.

"Krook-Krookodile!" Krookodile laughed, feeling glad that he at least got one. He was hoping to gain more though. But all of that laughing came to an end once he spotted Weavile arriving. Weavile was certainly faster than Krookodile no doubt as he was gaining on him. "Dile?!"

"Weavile!" Weavile ordered Krookodile to stop, but obviously, he wouldn't. So, to take the vial off of his claws, Weavile had used Ice Shard. He summoned a shard of ice with a swift flash-freeze, gripping it firmly.

Krookoile couldn't afford to lose here as the shard was thrown at him. With precision, it was a super-effective blow to the back that almost made Krookodile lose balance. "K-Krook!" Krookodile cried out as he managed to retain his balance. Weavile wasn't done with him.

"Wea-Wea-Vile!" Weavile had then jumped from wall to wall, becoming a blur with his speedy movements. He then went for Night Slash, summoning a black and red blade in his claws.

Krookodile knew there was no chance of him outrunning Weavile. And the vial was too fragile to keep running with. Angel Bunny, who had been kicked afar, held his head as he was just now returning. Only to then be knocked out of the way by running Krookodile, flying off once more. Weavile had then lunged off the walls, zooming towards Krookodile with a hefty Night Slash inbound. Knowing how bad it was getting Krookodile took a major risk.

He had smashed the vial on him.

"Wea?!" Weavile came to a screeching halt as his own two eyes witnessed the destruction of the vial and also the Rift Energy flowing across Krookodile.

"Krook! Krookodile!" Krookodile laughed, knowing that Weavile couldn't do anything now. He laughed at Weavile's failure crossing his arms. Krookodile now waited for the Rift Magic to work its magic.

And right on schedule. The energy from the Rift Magic was showing itself, radiating around Krookodile. The time had come. Krookodile was ready to indulge in some chaos in whichever way he could all for the sake of grabbing Discord's attention. He could feel it. The cosmic infinity coursing through his veins and entire body. He was changing. Gaining access to something he could've never done before. And once it finished processing everything, the result...

Was lacklustre.

Krookodile, by some twist of ironic fate, had become a bunny. Specifically, the same species as Angel Bunny. Weavile noticed the dramatic size decrease, looking to the floor as a bunny with the eyes of a Krookodile while having an Equestrian Bunny's appearance could be seen.

"W-Wea...!" Weavile couldn't help but snicker at this. Krookodile had visible disappointment on his face as even he knew he should've seen this coming. After all, it's unpredictable. Despite him wanting to spring up chaos, he could not control the Rift Magic to do what he wanted.

Ironic.

It was then that Krookodile soon realized that he should've just started throwing multiple vials everywhere to cause chaos. But it was too late for that now as Weavile went over to him, picking the bunny-size and shaped Krookodile off the ground, quickly returning to Zecora.

Zecora finished tending to the Electric-Types, standing outside of the rest of the Pokemon House, confronting a transformed Krookodile who was now just a regular bunny.

"Goodness, Krookodile, why?" Zecora sighed as she wasn't mad with Krookodile. Just disappointed as he stood on her hoof rubbing the back of his head nervously. "Why try and steal my vial? It's not like you to be like this. So clearly, something is amiss."

Zecora could see that something was up with Krookodile. He's never done this before as Weavile brought over some Rift Vials to help restore Krookodile. Krookodile then shook his head before aiming his paw at the cottage of Fluttershy. Zecora observed as constant flashes of light kept going on. Without a doubt, it was still the Unown.

One glance at the cottage and all the fun that they were having gave Zecora a great insight as to why Krookodile did what he did. It was for a good reason, albeit not the best approach. "Ah. Now I see the reason why you do so. All because of Discord to the Unown."

Krookodile nodded as Zecora started utilizing the Rift Magic, carefully mixing it to try and restore Krookodile's original body without any mishaps. Zecora was one of the few individuals who could regulate Rift Magic.

"You have become invisible since they can entertain Discord. Sharing the ability to do whatever, whilst you have been ignored." Zecora placed some of the mixed Rift Magic within one of the vials, dropping it on Krookodile's bunny body. Thankfully, Krookodile's originally body had been restored.

"Krookodile..."

"To compete with the power of the Unown is too large of an obstacle. Even if you did so by almost forming a mass debacle." Zecora shook her head.

"Dile." Krookodile sighed, slamming his face onto the wall. He almost botched everything there just for the sake of attention. He started imagining what Fluttershy or Audino would think about him. He could see it now. A disappointed Fluttershy who would end up kicking him out of the Pokemon House. He also saw an Audino who rejected him greatly, which was arguably his greatest fear. He would have to return to PokePark, becoming the gate guard at the Arbor Area once more.

Zecora saw it in his eyes. "You could return to PokePark, yes. But how much that would truly change...well, it's your guess." Zecora walked past him. "The best thing to do is to go to him yourself. Only then could you find some solace in oneself."

"Krookodile..." Krookodile had a choice to make. He took Zecora's advice, knowing that the one way to at least solve this was to confront Discord, who he has barely interacted with. Returning to PokePark would do no good. He took a glance at the vials before deciding not to use them again. "Dile!"

He finally approached Discord who was currently showing Fluttershy just how well the Unown worked with him. The whole day, they've been trying new things out. Mainly turning Fluttershy into a Pokemon. That was her preferred choice of chaos due to her love for these Magical Creatures.

Krookodile appeared before them as Fluttershy had currently taken the appearance of fusion Pokemon. A fusion between Lapras and Appletun, creating a beautiful light green aquatic creature with a tasty apple pie on the back.

"This has been so much fun, Discord. I think we should do this more of-" Fluttershy paused as she had then noticed the Intimidation Pokemon's arrival. "Oh, Krookodile. What brings you here?"

"K-Krooko..." Krookodile held his breath, puffing his chest up a bit.

"Hm?" Discord pondered before returning some of the Unown. Fluttershy had been promptly returned to her original form afterwards. "Oh, right. I forget I own that one."

"Dile." Krookodile's heart sank after hearing that. Discord and he have been so distant that Discord barely remembers Krookodile, causing the Ground-Dark-Type to lower his head.

"You haven't interacted with each other that much. For a year or so." Fluttershy flew over. "Krookodile, are you okay?"

"Krookodile." Krookodile sat down, knowing that if there was someone he could share his problems with, it was Fluttershy who took care of every Pokemon here. "Dile. Krookodile."

"Oh. You're feeling left out?" Fluttershy translated. "You've been wanting to get Discord's attention, especially when the Unown came along."

"Dile."

"My attention? Oh, it's not often someone wants my attention." Discord grinned as this was new to him. "It's not often at all. It's a first time actually. But could it be that I sense some jealousy from him?"

"I think so. Krookodile wants to live up to that role of being your Pokemon. You're his trainer after all."

"I am living up to the role as a Pokemon Trainer. I have them beside me, don't I?" Discord spread his arms out as the Unown surrounded him.

"Yes. But the Unown aren't the only Pokemon that you could spend time with. It's great that you've found others that can have fun with you and spend all the time in the world with you. But you shouldn't forget Krookodile here. He may not be able to warp reality, but he's a fine Pokemon." Fluttershy patted Krookodile on the back. "After all, I can't warp reality, can I?"

"No." Discord scratched his goatee. "Among Ash and a few others, none of you can. I suppose that catching Krookodile wasn't exactly something I was riveted by." Truth be told. DIscord could remember it still. It was at PokeStar Studios right after he and the others finished filming. He only caught Krookodile because it was recommended to him more than anything really.

"We may be a few years late on this, but it's not too late. Discord. I know you'll be busy with the Unown, so why don't you come by and spend some time with Krookodile here and there? Maybe even take him to your dimension?"

"Sure-sure." Discord agreed. "If it adds to my friends' list, then who am I to complain."

"Dile?"

"Good news, you." Discord extended his lion paw, wrapping it around Krookodile. "This could be the start of something new. Maybe."

"Krook? Krookodile." Krookodile sighed as a disaster had been averted. He accidentally spilt out what he would've done if it didn't work out.

"What?! You almost started mass chaos to grab his attention?!" Fluttershy translated as Krookodile covered his mouth. "Krookodile! No!"

"You would've gone out of your way to do that? Just cause chaos?" Discord paused before putting on a sly grin. "Ah. I can see I rubbed off on you. Somehow." He was somewhat proud of Krookodile. ANyone that indulges in chaos is okay in his book.

Krookodile was sweating bullets as he did get an earful from Fluttershy and even Audino plus Bayleef. But at least it wasn't as bad as he was expecting. Angel Bunny came over, feeling winded from all the knocking over that had been done to him throughout the day. He then dropped to the ground, resting near a Snorlax as he originally aimed to taunt Krookodile some more. That wasn't happening.

Krookodile did get his wish. Albeit on a small scale. Having Discord acknowledge him. For the Intimidation Pokemon, this could be the start of something new and great. Hopefully. But that was all to be seen and experienced as the journey continues.

Chapter 737 End.
