Episode 17: The Sonic Heroes Saga (Part 4):


From Old Friends to Freaky Things






The Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles were running through a forest, getting the attention of MC's group.

"Look, it's that hedgehog," Shadow said, looking down at the group.

"Wonder what the big rush is all about?" Rouge asked. "Betcha those guys will end up in my way and making trouble."

"Don't worry," MC said. "I'll talk with 'em." He then jumped down off the ledge, landing in front of the Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

"Hey, MC," Sonic said. "Where'd you come from?"

"I've been with a group chasing Eggman as well," MC said. "I'm pretty sure that Sandbar and his buds are doing the same with the Chaotix."

"Seriously?!" Twilight asked. "Why are they involved with that?"

"I heard that they were involved with saving Equestria from Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow, back when the filly was still evil," MC said.

"Who told you?" Twilight asked.

"Star Swirl," MC said. "I saw him just last week."

"So, what brings you here?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah, why are you here?"Rainbow Dash asked. "You hunting Eggman or something?"

"In a way, yes," MC said. "But for some reason, when I wasn't able to get a scent."

"I'm sure that Mutt and Maria were able to help out," Sonic said. "I saw their footprints on the beach."

"Mutt is in Central America with his mom," MC said. "What makes you...?" MC then went wide eyed. "Ohh... Never mind. Just yesterday, Maria and Olive, along with Rouge, Starlight, Sunset and Trixie, came across one of Eggman's bases, where Omega was locked up in. And guess what else we found." MC then pointed up with his left forefinger. The Mane 6, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles looked up and gasped.

"Hey, isn't that...?" Knuckles asked before he was interrupted.

"Sonic!" Tails said in surprise.

"Heh, talk about being stubborn and full of surprises," Sonic chuckled.

"FYI, he has amnesia," MC said, surprising the group.

"Long time, no see all of you!" Rouge said. "Too bad you came all this way for nothing! We'll take it from here!"

"What'd you say?" Knuckles asked, clenching his fist.

"Sensors locked on Eggman," Omega said. "Non-compliant intruders will be destroyed."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Maria said. "Don't do it, Omega!"

"Hmm, didn't you know?" Sonic asked. "We have a date with Eggman, too."

"Is that so?" Shadow asked, smirking. "Well, then, it'll be a date to DIE for!"

"Hey! That's my line!" Sonic said, jumping up towards Shadow. Shadow smirked and jumped towards Sonic.








In another part of the forest, Amy's group came across the Chaotix and the Young 6.

"Hey, y'all!" Apple Bloom said to the young 6.

"What are you all doing here?" Spike asked.

"We're trying to do some community service," Ocellus said. "Frankly, the Chaotix were the last ones to take us in."

"Yeah, we were the last ones on the list for these young ones," Vector said. He then looked at Amy. "Excuse me, miss. I was wondering if I could ask you something."

"If it's about a date, it'll have to wait!" Amy said.

"A DATE?!" Vector asked angrily. "You think this is a joke, you little brat?!"

"We've been finding Chao in danger all over this forest," Espio said. "Now hand over that chao nice and slowly..."

Cream hugged Cheese tightly in protection as she said, "I betcha you're the ones who took Chocola-Chao."

"What?!" Vector asked in shock.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, guys!" Ocellus said, getting between them. Nyx was doing the same. "This has got to be a huge misunderstanding."

"Yeah, we don't have all the facts, yet," Nyx said.

"It's not nice to tease my friends," Big said angrily.

Charmy was hovering above Nyx and Ocellus and he called out, "Yeah, time to rock 'n' roll!"

Nyx then teleported herself and Ocellus out of the way as Amy, Cream, Cheese, Big, Vector, Espio and Charmy charged at each other. The Crusaders, Spike and the Young 6 were standing aside when the others were fighting each other.

"Yona would rather fight bad guys than allies," Yona said.

"This is a huge misunderstanding!" Scootaloo said.

In the other part of the forest, Sonic and Shadow were still brawling.

Olive covered her face and said, "Boys, do you two really have to do this now? We have a job to do."

"Olive's right," MC said. "Sonic, Shadow, that's enough." Sonic and Shadow didn't listen. MC then sighed and then he rushed in between their impact, glowing a hard golden aura, gold lighting emitting from him. "I SAID THAT'S ENOUGH!!"

"Whoa!" Shadow said as he and Sonic stopped. They then headed back to the ground. "Is he always this aggressive?"

"No," Sonic said. "Sometimes he's mean."

"C'mon, guys," MC said as his power was wearing down. "We're all on the same side. We're all mammals." He then looked at Omega. "More or less. Omega, where's that base?"

Omega then pointed towards somewhere, saying, "That direction." The group looked towards where Omega was pointing and saw a creepy forest.

"You've got to be kidding," MC said, deadpanned. "Déjà vu."

"What do you mean?" Twilight asked.

"Me, Fluttershy, Sandbar and his friends, and that creepy manor," MC said. Fluttershy was getting the chills.

"Oh, please," Twilight said, rolling her eyes. "There are no such things as ghosts."

"Tell that to Flutters and five of your students," MC said. "Yona and I were the only ones standing to go and save them." He then sighed. "There's no other way up there, is there, Omega?"

"Negative," Omega responded.

"Guess we have no choice," Shadow said. "We must press forward." Then MC's group started going through the forest. Maria was trying to stay back, but Shadow appeared, held her in his arms, and teleported.

"Are we gonna let those guys have all the fun?" Sonic asked, smirking.

"No way we're gonna let them have all the fun," Rainbow Dash said. "So it's a creepy... spooky place up ahead. It's the only way for us to stop Doctor Eggman."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Knuckles asked. "Let's get going." Then the nine of them headed into the creepy forest.








The Young 6 and the Chaotix were heading through the forest, walking towards a creepy mansion. Espio and Vector had huge bumps on their heads. Espio also had on some bandages wrapped around his stomach, Vector had bandages on his left arm and right leg, and Charmy was holding an ice pack on his left shoulder.

"Talk about a huge misunderstanding," Espio said.

"Yeah, we sure made fools of ourselves," Vector said.

"Nothing new for you, Vector!" Charmy said, tauntingly.

"What?!" Vector asked, angrily. "You were the one who jumped at the chance...!"

"Now's not the time for arguing!" came the client's voice from the walkie-talkie. "Now's the time to be on guard! It's very mysterious around here!"

"Mysterious, like how?" Gallus asked. "Robots disguised as trees or something?"

"Not exactly," came the client's voice. "Although, that would make a good booby trap."

"Huh?!" Vector and Gallus asked in unison.

The client then cleared his throat and said into the walkie-talkie, "What I'm saying is that the mansion you're about to enter is haunted. No one would ever think about hiding a base in a haunted mansion."

"Haunted?!" Yona asked, getting scared. "L-l-l-l-like... g-g-g-g-ghosts?!"

"Yes, and I apologize for that," came the client's voice. "Just... remain calm as you go in." The young 6 entered, all of them were scared. Yona especially. Vector had to pick Yona up and carry her in.

Over with the Crusaders, Spike, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Big, they were just outside of the manor.

"I think we're lost," Big said.

"Ohh... This place is creepy!" Cream said.

"Reminds me... of the first time... I went into the... Castle of the Two Sisters," Nyx said, shaking nervously. "I remembered Nightmare Moon's memories. Making me want to hurt Twilight."

"Hey, hey," Spike said, putting a hand on Nyx's shoulder. "It's okay."

"He's right, Nyx," Amy said. "Right now, we gotta be brave. Let's go in." Then they all headed in, the Crusaders, minus Scootaloo and Cream were holding onto Big.

"I've got to be tough for all of us... mmm!" Big said as they were heading towards the place.

At another part of the manor, a door was busted open. The door was kicked in by MC, the others walking in.

"Whoa," Rouge said. "This place is amazing. Makes me want to have a place like this."

"Not the time, Rouge," Olive said. "We need to get through this place and get to the Fleet."

"Sensors being jammed," Omega said. "Unable to guide us through the base."

"I can," MC said. He then sniffed around. "Follow me." Then they headed in further in the manor. The Mane 6 then walked in, following the group.

"You think you'd lose us that easily?" Sonic asked, smirking.

"We got a job to do, MC," Twilight said. "We need to stop Eggman."

"Surely enough, we can get this done with ease," Shadow said. Just then, the lights went out. "Whoa. What just happened?!"

"Hang on," Sunset said. "I got this." Just then, her horn lit up, illuminating the room. "There. That'll do it." Sunset then looked towards MC, who had a very surprised look on his face towards a room. "What's up, MC?"

"Oh, no, not this guy again!" MC said. The group then looked towards where MC was looking and all of them were surprised.



King Boom Boo then tried charging towards the group. All of them jumped out of the way. Then a bunch of ghosts started coming out of the walls.

"Oh my goodness!" Fluttershy said, going back to back with MC. "I thought these guys crossed over."

"I did, too," MC said. He then tried punching a ghost, but his punch went right through it. "Great. I can't make contact with these ghosts."

"Ghosts are real?!" Twilight asked. "This is... impossible!" She then pulled on her mane. "This shouldn't be possible!"

"Well, it is!" Applejack said, trying to buck a ghost when she was on her hands. "Ah thought these ghosts were able ta be touched!"

"They were supposed to be!" MC said. "I just hope the others are doing okay."

Back with the Chaotix and the Young 6, they were all trying to fight the ghosts that were surrounding them. The Young 6 were still afraid of the ghosts since... the incident.

"Most spirits are supposed to be good!" Espio said. "But it would seem that this place is full of evil spirits!" Espio then threw a kunai towards a ghost, but it went right through it. "This place is insane!"

"Another bad call due to that mustache moron!" Vector said.

"'Mustache moron'?!" came the client's voice from the walkie-talkie. "I'm the world's greatest...!" The client then cleared his throat. "Get out of there! Quickly!"

"This is gonna cost you extra!" Vector said. Gallus looked towards the walkie-talkie with a surprised look.

"Did he just...?" Gallus asked himself.

"What is it, Gallus?" Silverstream asked.

"I don't know," Gallus responded. "But... I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I think I know who the client is. I just hope I'm wrong about this."

With the Crusaders, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Big, they were all running from a bunch of ghosts, chasing them throughout the manor.

"There are so many ghosts!" Cream cried as she was holding Cheese tightly and running.

"Chao chao chao!" Cheese also cried.

"This can't be happening!" Sweetie Belle said, running beside Cream.

"Hyaaaaah! I'm not gonna let some ghouls make a fool outta me!" Amy said, getting ready to swing her hammer. She swung it, but the hammer went right through the ghost and collided with the wall, it getting stuck. Amy then growled towards the ghost, which was laughing. "Why, you...!"

"There's too many!" Big said.

"What are we gonna do?!" Apple Bloom asked. "Ah'm freakin' out!"

"We got to get outta here! And fast!" Big said. All of them, except Amy, were scared of all the ghosts around them.

"Ohh..." Scootaloo said. "I'm definitely going to have nightmares after this!"








Back in the room with the Mane 6, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and MC's group, MC was still trying to take out King Boom Boo, but he kept going right through him.

"This isn't right!" MC said. "These ghosts are supposed to be tangible at some point!"

"This is the most scariest thing I have experienced!" Fluttershy cried, flying up near a chandelier. Knuckles was about to punch a ghost but it disappeared before he could swing.

"Huh?" Knuckles asked confusedly. He then noticed that some ghosts were disappearing and reappearing. Knuckles then looked up at the chandelier, where Fluttershy was trying to get away. He then noticed light beams being blocked by Fluttershy's wings as they were flapping. "The chandelier! It's projecting illusions! These ghosts aren't real!"

"What?!" MC asked as he was on a wall. He then looked towards the chandelier with his eyes glowing a golden aura. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" MC then pointed his left fist towards the chandelier. "Fluttershy! Outta the way!" MC then fired a blast towards the place where the chandelier was being held up, making Fluttershy move out of the way before it fell to the ground. The chandelier smashed and all of the ghosts disappeared.

"It was a trick?!" Tails asked.

"Looks like Eggman set up this trick to keep trespassers away from another launch base," Sonic said.

"Then we have no time to lose," Shadow said. "Let's go." Then they all started heading towards where the base was.

MC then held up his right hand to his muzzle, speaking into his wrist. He said, "This is MC, calling Amy and Yona!"

"What is it, MC?!" Amy asked on the communicator. "We're kinda busy at the moment!"

"Yona freaking out!" came Yona's voice on the communicator.

"Is there a chandelier in the room you guys are at?" MC asked.

"Yes," Yona said.

"We got one here, too," Amy said. "Why?"

"Those ghosts are holograms, images made up of solid light," MC responded. "Those holograms are coming from the chandelier. Smash it, and the ghosts will disappear!"

Back in the room with the Chaotix and the Young 6, Smolder heard the message.

"One destroyed chandelier, coming right up," Smolder said. She then went to the roof and started pulling the chandelier like she was pulling something out of the ground. The chandelier fell and all of the ghosts disappeared.

"That explains why we couldn't even touch them," Espio said.

Yona stopped freaking and said, "At least these ghosts weren't real."

"Yeah," Gallus said. "I still have nightmares from the first time."

Then it went to the Crusaders, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Big. Amy threw her hammer towards the chandelier and it broke apart when falling to the ground.

"How are you gonna get your hammer down?" Spike asked. Amy then held out her hand and then her hammer reappeared in her hand, making Spike drop his jaw. "How did you do that?"

"My hammer can appear back in my hand on command," Amy said. "I'm sorta like Thor from the Marvel movies and TV shows." Amy noticed Spike's confused look. "Oh, right. You don't know who that is."

"Let's go!" Nyx said. "We got to stop Eggman!"

Then later, they all ended up in a launch base for a bunch of different fleet ships. MC was checking the schematics of each of the ships.

"Okay, guys," MC said into his communicator. "There are multiple ships of the Egg Fleet. The Mako Gunships, those are the red ones. The Sawfish Battleships, those are the blue ones. The Manta Ray Ships, those are the purple ones. And the mane ship is the Whale Shark Flagship. That's where Eggman is controlling this whole fleet." Just then, the place started vibrating.

"We have to get up there!" Olive said. "Everyone, move!"

The Chaotix and the Young 6 made it onto one red ship. The Crusaders, Spike, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Big made it onto another ship. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and the Mane 6 made it onto another ship.

Shadow, Rouge, Starlight, Sunset, Trixie, Maria and Olive jumped onto one last ship, but Omega missed the jump. MC had to reach for Omega as he was hanging onto the edge of the ship.

"Sweet Jesus, you are so heavy!" MC said.

"That is because I am 100% metal!" Omega responded. Shadow then helped with pulling up Omega, along with Sunset and Starlight, using their magic. Eventually, they all headed up into the sky.

Sonic's group stood tall in front of his group.

"Alright, everyone," Sonic said. "This is where we make our final stand. Let's show Eggman the real power of teamwork." It then did a split screen of the other groups.
