//------------------------------// // Audible Memory // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Pegalysium. Big Sky. Afternoon. Gradually arriving at Big Sky ended up being Milotic who had Rarity and Audino on her back. She followed a stream that led her to this big casino-based city. However, upon arriving here, much like a few others, Rarity felt a change. "What was that all about...?" Rarity asked herself, wondering what the flash was. She noticed Big Sky in the distance, going about her way. Time had been altered still and Rarity, while unaware that it has been altered, still felt odd. Especially when seeing that the sun was up instead of the moon. And arriving at Big Sky were Fluttershy, Thunder Stamp and the Unown. Big Sky remained unchanged even after the change in the timeline. However one could argue that it had seen an upgrade in terms of luxury. Not only was it a casino, but now, it resembled a movie studio. It was now a metropolis of skyscrapers filled to the brim with equipment for producing big cinema features, similarly to the Pokestar Studios. It clashed well with the casino sections. Entering the city, Fluttershy and Thunder Stamp were met with blue street lamps that had transparent spheres with spinning crystals inside them. "Wow..." Fluttershy gawked. This would also be her first time visiting Big Sky as a few of her friends had already visited it. "I can imagine that this would look during the night." "Mhm." Thunder Stamp could agree on that as he continued to lead Fluttershy through Big Sky. Along the way, Fluttershy got to witness movie posters along with magical projections that were identical to TV. Although, it was mainly stationary images that were cycling in different time spans than anything. And speaking of these posters, Fluttershy could see how influential Second Wind had made everything about the Indigo Alliance. Aside from the newly established Indigo Union replacing the alliance, there was something larger. Posters for the Indigo Empire. Her reign over the nation had certainly been cemented. "Where are we going by the way?" Fluttershy asked, wondering what the point of visiting Big Sky was. That's when Thunder Stamp took a quick turn to the right with Fluttershy, looking at his surroundings for a bit. Once the coast was clear, he went behind one of the casino buildings before standing next to the wall. He made sure everything was in a tight space for this, making it hard for anypony to see him. He had something to show Fluttershy. With a lick of his lips, Thunder Stamp focused his hoof on one spot on the wall. There was a tile that stuck out from the rest of the other tiles. With some sound that sounded hollow and hard to find, right underneath Fluttershy and Thunder Stamp, the floor had suddenly opened up. "Hm?" Fluttershy blinked for a second before being dropped into the hole. "Ah!" Immediately after she and Thunder Stamp were dropped into it, she started screaming as the top of the hole had closed off as if nothing had happened. Within the hole, Fluttershy was met with a slippery slope that led downwards while having some twists to it. "Oooh....! This is actually fun!" She soon found herself enjoying this swirling momentum. One second she was screaming in shock and the next she was having a ball. From where this was leading, it looked to be a secret base. "Hmm." While moving through the slope, Thunder Stamp found the time to show Fluttershy something despite their rapid movements at the moment. Fluttershy leaned in, noticing how Thunder Stamp pulled out a picture. A picture of what seemed to be a base of operations. One look and Fluttershy could already tell what this meant due to Thunder Stamp's occupation and the slope underground. "Oh. Is that where all of your fellow officers are? So this slope must lead to your base." Thunder confirmed it with a nod. But he showed her more, revealing all of the secret entrances that weren't just the hole they came through. He showed her different ways to enter the base across all of Big Sky since the city was so massive, to begin with. "This all seems so fun!" Fluttershy giggled. "I can't wait to see what it loooooooks...Like?" But Fluttershy was met with utter horror and shock once they got there after the slope ride was coming to an end. And a similar yet grander expression graced Thunder Stamp's face. "Gah!" He gasped, witnessing what his base had turned into. Instead of being the stylish and clean base that the images led it to be, it was a total mess. Complete destruction as the final part of the slope had been broken off. It would originally lead them to the ground where there would be something soft to land on. But that soft object was destroyed. It looked to be a pillow that was now torn to bits. That soft landing was gone as Fluttershy and Thunder Stamp had to use their wings instead. Once there, they got a closer look at the totalled base. The furniture here which was meant for multiple ponies all working here had been ripped to shreds. Various tables of the mechanical texture had also been damaged, creaked, split in half, or even rusted. An array of files had littered the destroyed base with torn paper that all had specific words that could no longer be recovered. Thunder Stamp picked up objects of a place that was once great to look at. Now it was just awful to even be in. He even picked up a picture showcasing just himself. He stood in the picture with an uncomfortably empty space, indicating that others were meant to be there. "What happened here?" Fluttershy wondered before gazing at the picture. She noticed the vast empty space and how the picture only showed Thunder Stamp who was standing in the far back instead of the front. "This picture...were there others meant to be there?" "Mmhm..." Thunder nodded before giving off a deep sigh. Fluttershy and he already knew what this meant. It was involved with Second Wind messing with time, no doubt. "Hah..." "You think she knew about this place and came to destroy it?" Fluttershy translated, reading Thunder Stamp's facial expression as he let out a slight mumble in response. "Aw, it's okay." Here to comfort him was Fluttershy. "You still kept memories of them. And we know the way to fix this. It's that door" "Hmmmrgh...?" He turned to her with a distraught expression. "That's right. Now we both have friends to help save." Fluttershy reassured him. "Let's work together and fix all of this. Then you'll see your friends and your base again." "Hmm...Thanks." Touched by her words, Thunder Stamp actually blurted out a proper word instead of just grunting. It threw Fluttershy off guard for a bit since she was used to hearing him grunt, but it wasn't too surprising. "I know Rarity can do fine with her Pokemon but. It's Audi, I'm the most worried about. We should find her sooner and do something about this changed time." "Mhm..." Thunder Stamp went back to grunting and mumbling before wiping away his tears. He then looked Fluttershy in the eyes, grunting once more as he asked her a question. "Oh, Audi? Well, I guess her being my best friend and being a Pokemon would be new to you. And everypony in Pegalysium. You aren't too familiar with Pokemon yet. They're like some of the best friends you could ask for. Shaped like friends too. Especially Audi. I'll never forget when I first met her..." Thinking about her partner, Fluttershy reminisced on the day she and Audino had met and became loyal friends to each other. Equestria. Fluttershy's Cottage. The Pokemon House. 3 years ago. During the earlier days of the two worlds merging, the Pokemon House was at its early days ever since it was finally. It was a concept that Fluttershy had in her mind and thus, it came to fruition. Pokemon were still overwhelming to many ponies in Equestria. But among the few who weren't overwhelmed by them was Fluttershy. And a place for them to come and relax was perfect. She was surrounded by many Pokemon that she managed to attract to her cottage. And boy, did she attract. At that time, Dawn and Brock had also found themselves here in Equestria due to the abundance of gateways that randomized everything. And thanks to their help along with Ash, Fluttershy was able to know more about Pokemon. Especially what they like and don't like. Currently, Fluttershy was feeding the Pokemon what she could, giving them a grand old time. And while she did that, peeking from the trees was the Pokemon she would soon form a powerful bond with. Audino. "A-Audino..." Audino in this instance was in an unpleasant state. Her body was full of scratches, completely tattered on all fronts and sides. She limped towards the tree, feeling weak beyond belief as her stomach was growling. This Audino had been through something truly rough for her to look like this. She found her way to Equestria in this state before ending up at Ponyville. "Man...sometimes I wanna eat some of the Pokemon food with how good it is," said Ash, kneeling in front of the bowl of Pokemon Food. The appearance was enough to make a human hungry. "You'd better not." Dawn nudged him. "I don't think your stomach's built like a Pokemon. Then again..." "Hm?" But while feeding the Pokemon, Fluttershy noticed the Hearing Pokemon before anyone else. Just near the trees that were enveloped by some bushes. Audino gasped before trying to hide the rest of her body from Fluttershy. Unfortunately, she was so big plus her ears always stuck out so the tree wasn't enough. The bushes either. Audino then turned around, trying to run away, only to fall over due to her limped leg. "A-Audino...!" She whimpered. "Oh my!" Fluttershy immediately rushed over to her side. Upon seeing Fluttershy approaching, Audin tried backing away, as fast as she could, but she was too slow to do so. She then closed her eyes, fearful of Fluttershy's approach. The Hearing Pokemon quivered on the ground, covering her eyes and fearing the worst. "Audino!" "Are you okay?" But Audino got the wrong idea. And she soon found out once Fluttershy descended next to her. Fluttershy placed her hoof on the Hearing Pokemon, making Audino twitch for a bit. But there was no need to fear. "A-Audino?" "What happened to you?" Fluttershy wondered, seeing the horrible state that Audino ended up in. Ash, Dawn and Brock also rushed over upon seeing the injured Audino. "Oh, man! What happened to that Audino?!" Ash gasped. "Pikachu?!" "It must've been through a rough battle for it to turn out like that." Brock gawked. "Looks like it's hanging in there thanks to its durability." "Uh, I think I ran out of potions!" Dawn looked at her bag as it was dry of potions. Piplup jumped into the bag, trying to see if he could find any. But he did end up finding his favourite food which he quickly took a bite out of. "This place doesn't have a Pokemon Center, does it?" "Piplup!" "It's okay. I can help this Pokemon." Fluttershy would take things from here. A Pokemon Center would take too long to reach due to the distance difference. "Audino, was it?" "Audino..." Audino whimpered, nodding her head. Fluttershy looked to Ash, Dawn and Brock, telling them to help pick Audino up. They did so, carrying her full weight and bringing her closer to the Pokemon House where methods of healing Pokemon had been adopted. Fluttershy had Brock to thank for that as his double role as a Pokemon Breeder and Pokemon Doctor at the same time. Once brought there, Audino was treated by Fluttershy and some assistance from Brock. She used everything she learned from Brock, which was relatively quick considering the time they've known each other. And after being healed up with every part of being tended and cared for, Audino was back to full strength. But not only that, because of how she had been healed up, this prompted the Hearing Pokemon to learn a new move. One that would help herself and others for months and years to come. "Audino!" Heal Pulse. Excited that she was healed and also fed to fill that growling stomach, in a spurt of energy, Audino had used Heal Pulse while jumping around. "W-What's this?!" Fluttershy gasped, feeling comfortable with Heal Pulse's relaxing aura. It made her melt, descending to the floor. "It feels so great..." "Looks like Audino learned Heal Pulse from all that healing," said Brock. "That's one way to learn a new move." "Audino!" Grateful for healing her, Audino went to grab Fluttershy, giving her the strongest hug to date that caught Fluttershy off guard. She would hug Brock too if he wasn't taller in comparison to Fluttershy. "Y-You're welcome!"Fluttershy stuttered before giggling, enjoying Audino's hug as she was spun around by the Hearing Pokemon. Ever since then, Audino, much like many of the Pokemon here, found the Pokemon House to be a relaxing place to come to. Or rather, stay. Audino never left on that day Fluttershy healed her. She stayed behind and never went anywhere else. Days passed with Brock and Dawn leaving and Audino would just have Fluttershy to help with the healing. But Fluttershy wouldn't do it alone. With Audino being a natural healer, the Pokemon House would be a safe haven for many other Pokemon that were in need. And whenever they needed help, one of them would aid the other. Whether it be Audino protecting Fluttershy from threats or even if Audino herself needed healing. Present day. "I guess it's not much, is it?" Fluttershy said. "I don't know what happened to Audi that made her so injured. And we got along well after that. But I'm happy to have met her. And seeing her in that state back at the hotel was awful. It reminded me of how horrible she looked back then. I can't let Audino be like that again. Especially when she's now worried about me." "Mmm...Bahaa!" Touched by Fluttershy's story, Thunder Stamp broke into tears. The Unown made a bucket to catch his tears promptly. They had then left the base, seeing that it was trashed and affected by time. There was no point in being here anymore. But as they took the exit to the base which was a flight of stairs that led to another building, they would be met with an alarming sight. The Memoir Petals. Sent to erase the memories of certain ponies and Pokemon that had shown up here, they pursued Fluttershy after learning that she had managed to escape the fate of being a Cloven. These magical petals were soaring through the skies, not radiating their light until they found their targets. Rarity had witnessed this as she was thankfully exempt. At least due to Second Wind's orders. The same couldn't be said for Fluttershy. The moment she and Thunder Stamp returned outside, they saw the petals in the distance. "Wow! How beautiful! What are those petals?" Fluttershy admired the Memoir Petals in the sky. However, while she didn't know what they were, Thunder Stamp certainly did. He quickly put his hoof over Fluttershy's eyes, protecting her from the power of the petals. "Oh! What's happening?!" Thunder Stamp then had the Unown carry Fluttershy away as the petals found their target. The petals then gathered closer to each before increasing in speed. They violently dashed through the skies, causing wind pressures enough to knock some ponies over. Fluttershy took a peek once Thunder Stamp's hoof was low enough. That's when she saw the Memoir Petals chasing her down while forming a petal whirlwind. "They're chasing us?! Wait, why?!" Thunder Stamp grunted, giving a vocal-less explanation. before looking Fluttershy in the eyes. The petals then flew some windows to get around quicker, dedicated to wiping Fluttershy's memories off the board. "They're going to what?!" Soon, Fluttershy found out what these petals could do. The Memoir Petals then shattered some windows before appearing in front of Fluttershy and Thunder Stamp. The Unown had made glasses for them, shielding the duo from the light that the petals could give off. However, the petals were persistent as these special glasses wouldn't stop them. They simply moved quick enough to mess with the wind, forcing the glasses to almost come off. Fluttershy and Thunder Stamp held onto the glasses closely to avoid the light. But the petals weren't just focused on distance. They also got physical. The petals got closer to the pegasi, only for the Unown to protect them once more, forming a barrier. Noticing the petals flying in the distance and causing a ruckus were Rarity, Milotic and Audino. After arriving here at Big Sky, they took notice, hearing the commotion. "What on earth?!" Rarity gasped before returning Milotic to her Poke Ball. She hopped on Audino's back, allowing the Hearing Pokemon to carry her. Ponies were alarmed by the Memoir Petals as all of them had closed their eyes, fearing that they would lose their memories too if they were exposed to the light. The petals eventually diverged, splitting up to cut their target off. And they did it with brute force and success at the same time. Some ponies were carried away by the wind pressure these little petals gave off as Thunder Stamp and Fluttershy ended up being cornered by them. The petals had then gathered around the barrier, lifting it into the air. If they couldn't break through since they were still light petals, they could simply break it. Everypony looked to the skies, witnessing Thunder Stamp and Fluttershy in the skies. And noticing this without a doubt was Rarity and soon Audino. "Wait..." She squinted her eyes, looking past the array of petals and the barrier they carried. There, they saw their friend. "Fluttershy!" "Audino!" The petals then used the full force of their speed to launch the barrier downwards. Fluttershy held onto Thunder Stamp once they were shot down like a missile. The impact would be hard no doubt. However, Thunder Stamp wouldn't allow any harm done to the innocent as was his job as an officer. He ordered the Unown to protect Fluttershy as he knew that she was the important pony in this instance. Thunder Stamp didn't feel the same way to himself. The three Unown understood clearly as they used their power to send Fluttershy out of the barrier, making a separate one for her to float in. The barrier that Thunder Stamp sat in had hit the ground hard, destroying a roulette wheel that other ponies were playing with. He felt his head shake while also feeling bewildered. His eyes rolled around as if they were marbles. It was safe to say that it knocked the wind out of him. However, the petals quickly left Thunder Stamp, realizing he wasn't the true target. They pursued Fluttershy who was floating in her own barrier while also being assisted by the Unown. They were now tasked with protecting Fluttershy no matter what. However, against the swarm of Memoir Petals, even three Unown might not be enough as all of them reunited to try and erase Fluttershy's memories. But they wouldn't be alone. Piercing through the air and obliterating some of the petals was a Hyper Beam. It consumed the petals, destroying a majority of them since they were so fragile. The explosion of Hyper Beam afterwards was enough to even damage the rest. "That Hyper Beam... Was it?!" Fluttershy knew of one Pokemon close to her that could use Hyper Beam. And once she looked down below, lowering her glasses, she saw her friends once more. Audino and Rarity. "Fluttershy!" Rarity waved at her along with Audino, who was still mute. "Girls!" Fluttershy shouted, thrilled to see her friends again. The Unown quickly saw that there was familiarity between them, which prompted them to carry Fluttershy's barrier to them. As for the petals, they had been wiped out thanks to Audino. They were plentiful but their fragility was a prime target for Hyper Beam. Very few of them remained and the few that were left ended up being destroyed by a Hidden Power from just one Unown. The rest of the petals tried approaching, only to be blocked by the Unown, putting an end to them. "Rarity! Audi!" Fluttershy rushed over once she was freed from the barrier. Without holding back, she ended up hugging the unicorn and the Hearing Pokemon immediately. And she made sure it was powerful. Similarly to how Audino overwhelmed Fluttershy the first day they met, Rarity and Audino receive that same treatment. "I was so scared!" "S-Same here darling!" Rarity's grunted before laughing. "We were worried about you! Audino the most!" "A-Audino!" The mute Audino cried her eyes out, bawling uncontrollably before returning the hug to Fluttershy. "Audi. Can you still hear me?" Fluttershy asked, hoping that Audino could still hear the words of Fluttershy. But unfortunately, she couldn't. Neither could her words be made vocal even when her mouth was opened. "Oh, Audi..." "Audino..." Audino sniffled. But right now, she didn't care about her lack of voice and hearing. All she cared about was seeing Fluttershy here once more. But here to fix all of that were the three Unown tasked with saving her. They hovered towards Fluttershy before catching the attention of Rarity and Audino. "Audino?!" "Get back, Fluttershy!" Rarity stepped in front of her, holding a Poke Ball out. "I know what these Unown are and what they're capable of...!" "Audino!" Audino stood beside Rarity, growling at the Unown. The Unown then froze on spot, feeling threatened by them both. "Wait, you two. It's okay." But Fluttershy could vouch for them. She floated in front of the Unown, protecting them. "These Unown are with me." "They are?" Rarity lowered the Poke Ball. "Audino?" "Mhm. Unown. Can you please help me?" Fluttershy turned to the three Symbol Pokemon. "There's something wrong with Audi. I don't know what it is but..." The Unown didn't have to hear anything else. They had a pretty good idea of what to do. They gathered as one, approaching the Hearing Pokemon. With their powers combined, they did what needed to be done and returned Audino to the Pokemon that she was truly meant to be. One with amazing hearing abilities as a golden light had graced hr. Audino closed her eyes as the light lasted only 2 seconds before fading away. Afterwards, Audino could hear again. "A-Audino?" Not only that, but she could hear her own voice again. "Audino!" "You did it!" Fluttershy gasped. "Oh, thank you so much, Unown!" "Audino!" Audino jumped for joy as Rarity had nothing to fear now with these three Unown. Speaking of the Unown, they had also been grabbed Audino as she showed her appreciation to them. "Dino! Audino!" "Well...it all worked out in the end." Rarity uttered. "Almost. Some of my Pokemon and your Raboot are missing...So, it's not all over." "If you could find me, then we can find them too," Fluttershy reassured. Everything that had happened couldn't go ignored by the pegasi of Big Sky. Especially to the guards. "Hey! Are those Pokemon?!" The local guards that were all wearing Indigo shouted out. "What's going on here?!" "Um, there's a lot to explain..." Fluttershy whispered. "It's best to just come with me. Plus, you'll meet Thunder Stamp!" "Thunder who?" Rarity replied before being dragged away by Fluttershy. Soon, they were on the run from the guards after they spotted Pokemon. There was quite a bit for Rarity to know. However, the Memoir Petals, while they had failed to wipe Fluttershy's memories off the map, there were still more as they ha been multiplied by Second Wind's Unown army. Fluttershy was not the only target of this mind wiping petals. Pheromosa, who was carrying some of the Pikachu from the Pikachu Highlands, leaving a massive dust cloud trail for her speed had noticed the petals in the distance. She and the army of Pikachu admired these petals and how beautifully they fluttered in the sky. "Phero..." "Pika..." Unfortunately, it was their beauty that allowed them to catch others off guard. Especially with the light that flashed from them. Pheromosa and the army of Pikachu had seen them, being affected by the mind-manipulating light at a first glance. It wasn't just them. Celestia, Luna and Twilight were heading for the Sky Monarch to meet with the King and Queen. Or in this case, unbeknownst to them, the Grand Queen. To catch them off guard, in the distance they saw not the petals, but arguably, something worse than the Memoir Petals. The Unown. They were being sent to Equestria, flooding the skies with darkness. Celestia and her fellow alicorns quickly hid behind a mountain to keep themselves away from the Unown. The Unown were too fixated on Equestria to even think about them. They had the petals to do that for them. "The Unown?! Where are they going?!" Luna wondered. "From that direction...it looks they're diving downwards." Twilight noticed the direction that the Unown were flying at. They went in a downwards diving position, descending to lower air. "You don't think they're heading for Equestria?!" "They might. Absol and Xatu said that this disaster could affect Equestria as well." Celestia's heart skipped a beat after seeing the abundant swarm of Unown flood the skies whilst descending. "I hope we're not too late." Equestria. Ponyville. SugarCube Corner. Afternoon. Speaking of Equestria, over at SugarCube Corner, Pinkie Pie was currently making the pace comfortable for the second Mew that she and her own Mew were taking care of. The Mew from Holon was not used to being out in this much public nor was she used to being this close to it. "No need to worry." Pinkie said to the second Mew. "My Mew and I are gonna make you feel great here." "Mew-Mew!" "We should give you a name since you're a second Me...How about...Mew Two?!" Pinkie Pie jumped, thinking of a nickname for Holon's Mew. "Nah that's taken. Twice. How about Mewspaper?" "Mew...?" Holon Mew titled her head as Pinkie Pie had a slew of Mew nicknames. "Aha! Mewster!" She then pulled off posses each time she gave a new name. Her own Mew joined her in this silly endeavour. "Mewie! Mews! Oh wait, I got it! Mewthree!" "Mew-Mew...." Mew wasn't finding many of these names good enough. But she would settle on at least one to make it easier for Pinkie Pie. However, as Pinkie Pie got out a list for Mew nicknames, Mr and Mrs Cake looked outside the window with their eyes being graced with a new and frankly terrifying sight. Their jaws dropped from what they were witnessing. And soon, everypony in Ponyville would find out. Rainbow Dash left her home up in the sky, being one of the first to see this. And frankly, everypony in Cloudsdale being in the skies were the first before anypony below. From Applejack's home and even Twilight's Castle where Spike, Cold Colt and Starlight remained. All of them saw the same thing as the Cutie Mark Crusaders plus Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon recognized this all too well due to being the first ponies to encounter them. The Unown. Covering the skies with black and white which wouldn't be limited to just Ponyville or Cloudsdale as their targets were all those with some semblance of Rift Energy inside of them. And the Desires were big examples of that, affecting almost everyone. The Unown invasion was about to begin. And it would start at Ponyville. As the journey continues. Cahpter 716 End.
