“So even after all this, Justice. Still saved me even those I didn’t deserve it.” Twilight said, her voice cracking as dull, empty ache gnawing at Twilight's soul.
"My question to you, Twilight? What are you; going to do with this gift that Justice gave you? Will you continue on this course? Or Live on to see what your decision did?" Luna asked as a deepening hue of shame appeared on Queen Twilight Sparkle's face.
"That I can't answer yet, your highness…Not until I make peace with my younger self and merge with her again." Queen Twilight Sparkle's voice quavering as a tear ran down her cheek.
'So that what you meant by protecting all the Princesses of Equestria. Even those you were totally right, I didn't deserve it. I let my own pain fill me with hate and anger toward all my subjects. But you saw I was just so alone in this world, and you try your best to alleviate my loneliness by coming to the palace to see me.' Queen Twilight Sparkle thought, leading the group into Ponyville.
"Oh, do you two know that Miss Starscout's mother was a unicorn!" Twilight mentions as Luna and Somnus faces glazes with shock.
"That answers many questions," Somnus comments as the group continues into Ponyville.
Meanwhile, walking down the dirt roads of Ponyville, passing the numerous timber-framed homes with the distinct thatched roof and the overhanging upper floor was Sunny Starscout in her earth pony form. A conscious battle rages inside her about Queen Twilight Sparkle and her idol worship about her being a guardian of Friendship, after finding out that she the cause of all the tribes hating each other, which cause her mother to be taken away.
'I believed in the guardians of Friendship and everything they stood for. Now learning that the leader of the guardians of Friendship is the one that caused each tribe to hate each other has broken my faith. My mother was taking away from me because of the fear and hate of unicorns in Maretime bay.’ Sunny thought as her moderate aquamarine eyes were haunted by inner pain, thinking back to the time before the three crystals reformed.
(Many years after the Crystal shattered)
Kneeling beside a flower box on the ground in the side yard of the Maretime bay lighthouse was stunning cerise pink-coloured unicorn mare with a gradient of dark blue to cornflower blue with streaks of dark navy blue mane and tail. Her statuesque 5ft 7in equine figure was attired in an American navy blue V-neck short-sleeve T-shirt and navy blue pull-on pants.
On her cerise pink nine and one-half inch, long bare feet with dusty blue nail polish were blush-colored flip-flops. And on her head hiding her horn was a gray packable floppy hat. This unicorn mare is Sapphire Brilliant Star Shine Sunny Starscout mother.
“Mommy…” A young Sunny Star Scout said as she had to look up at her tall mother even went she’s kneeling.
"Hello, my little sunny bunny…What happened in school? You are not your normal cheerful self, Sunny?" Sapphire asked, sitting her daughter on the edge of the flower box as she sat on the ground.
“The teacher, say all unicorns are evil and want to hurt us," Sunny said, her tiny voice edged with tension as her mother Sapphire has a stricken look on her face.
"Oh, it's all right, Sunny, don't worry about it. You know the truth about unicorns…because you have one that loves her little sunny bunny very much." Sapphire regarded her little filly with genuine fondness as she kissed her on her cheek.
"I am finished out here, Sunny… let's go start dinner; it's only a mare and her filly tonight. Your father is off on one of his educational trips. It makes me wonder if I was not here to care for my little filly. How many days of school would you miss with your father going on these educational trips?" Sapphire asked, holding the hand of her filly as her mother's feet pip-pops across the grass as she left her flip-flops next to the flower box.
(One month after the crystals shattered)
"Argyle! As much as I don't want to leave my little filly, I have no choice, but Phyllis Cloverleaf is pushing the city council of Maretime bay to install those anti-unicorn traps around the city. Plus, my friend Faith Trailblazer a Pegasus and Hitch Trailblazer's mother, has already left Maretime bay for the safety of Zephyr Heights." Sapphire said, her voice wooden and distant as a feeling of a cold fist closing over her's heart.
"Where will you go, Sapphire?" Argyle asked as Sapphire's heart soars, knowing that her little filly will be taken care of by her father.
"I am going home to Bridlewood; maybe I will return to Maretime bay to see my little filly again one day. But until then, goodbye, my dear Argyle and goodbye, my dear little filly." Sapphire said with a hitch in her voice as tears stream down her cheeks.
(Present time in the dream dimension)
'That lantern message I sent to bring Pegasus and Unicorns to Maretime bay was also meant to tell my mother that her daughter misses her if she is still alive in Bridlewood. And wish for her to come home to see me.' Sunny thought as she continued down the dirt road until she spotted a mare sitting on a bench, her face scarlet and swollen from crying.
Sitting on the bench was a beautiful light purple-colored Alicorn mare with dark sapphire blue, medium purple and brilliant rose streak mane and tail. Her slender and athletic 5ft 5in equine figure was attired in a navy blue short-sleeve floral print shirt dress with a hemline that hits at knee length.
On her magnificent slender light purple colored bare feet with periwinkle blue colored toenail polish were cognacs brown two-inch platform huarache sandals. A skinny leather cognac brown ankle strap held her shoes to her ten and one-third inch long feet, and folded on her back were her light purple colored moderate-sized feather birds’ wings. This pale purple-colored Alicorn mare was Princess Twilight Sparkle, the ruler of Friendship kingdom and leader of the guardians of Friendship from ancient Equestria.
"Hey!" Sunny called as Twilight looked up; her moderate violet-colored eyes were alarmed upon seeing the earth pony mare approaching her.
Twilight leaps to her feet a moment later, spreads her light purple colored moderate-sized feather birds' wings, and flies off, leaving the earth pony behind. Without a second thought, a pair of transparent golden wings form on Sunny's back, and she heads off in pursuit of the fleeing Alicorn. Being unfamiliar with flying Twilight, easily keeps the winged earth pony mare at a safe distance. Sunny, frustrated with the Alicorn keeping her at a safe distance, a lasso form on her waist.
"Just what I needed!" Sunny said, taking the lasso off her side and whirling it in the air.
She throws the lasso out, and the loop closes around the Alicorn slender ankle; she makes the wings disappear and drop to the ground as the Alicorn drags her along the ground till the Alicorn figures out that she is slowing down.
“Let me go!” Twilight voice explodes out of her as she tries to free her ankle from the loop.
“Not going to happen, Alicorn!” Sunny said, determined as Alicorn continued to fight to free herself.
“Huh!” Sunny exclaimed as she felt a new wave of strength fill her earth pony body and begin reeling in the fleeing Alicorn down to the ground.
"Got you!" Sunny exclaimed as she used the rope to tie up the Alicorn so she couldn't get away again. The tied-up Alicorn mare feels a cold fist closing over her's heart as tears fall out of her fearful eyes.
"Huh?" Sunny called as she looked over the Alicorn mare and noticed she was no older than her.
“You are no older than me, Alicorn!” Sunny comments as she reels with astonishment.
"Who are you?" Sunny inquired as Twilight slowly lifted her head to look at Sunny.
“My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle…ruler of the Friendship Kingdom and guardians of Friendship from ancient Equestria. I am so sorry, Miss Sunny Starscout. I never wanted your mother to be taken away from you. I was in such pain went all my friends and family died, leaving me alone. All I wanted was to die and join them. But that selfish act caused my three crystals to shatter, causing your mother to be taken away." As Sunny brought back her hand and slapped Twilight, the twilight voice became high and hysterical with grief.
"You think to apologize to me! Is going to make this all better! My mother didn’t deserve to have to leave her filly like that! Because you couldn’t be alone and turn your back on your subjects! What kind of ruler is that?! A very despicable one in my book!” Sunny said frigidly as she continued striking her with her hand as a slender dark blue hand with glossy deep pink nail polish grabbed hold of her wrist to stop her from slapping her again.
"That will be quite enough, Miss Starscout." A calm but firm mare voice said as a slight electrical jolt is sent down Sunny’s arm, causing her to leap back from slapping Princess Twilight.
Sunny's moderate aquamarine-coloured eyes widen in alarm. She lays her eyes upon the tall heavenly looking dark blue Alicorn mare with glossy black mane and tail attired in purple rose-colored below knee length long-sleeve fit and flare dress with her feet bare painted with shiny deep pink toenail polish.
Suddenly Sunny feels a chill running up her spine as her brilliant tangelo with light brownish gray fetlocks arms blossoms with goosebumps; she can sense this mare is a whole different level than any unicorn encountered since reforming the three crystals. Her muscles are frozen in fear as she watches the Alicorn mare gesture the dark blue Alicorn stallion with her to free Princess Twilight from the lasso.
The Alicorn stallion touches the lasso without a flinch, and it disappears. He helped Princess Twilight to her feet and led her over to the tall Alicorn mare, who talks to her briefly as Princess Twilight bows to the taller Alicorn mare. In the next instance, the recreation of Ponyville disappears, and the group finds themselves in a large stone throne room with many stained glass windows depicting constellations in the night sky.
At the front of the room was a two-level flat platform with a black metal throne on the top platform. The taller Alicorn mare walks toward the black metal throne, her dark blue wonderfully shaped bare feet with glossy deep pink toenail polish pip-popped across the thirteen-inch gray leaf porcelain mosaic tile floor of this room. The taller Alicorn mare is followed closely by the Alicorn stallion dressed as a knight wearing a black metal breastplate with a half-moon symbol on it and a dark metal long sword dangle from his side.
The taller Alicorn mare gently places her slender hand in the metal gauntlet of Alicorn stallion's hand, and he escorts her up the two stairs to the black metal throne. She gracefully sits down on the throne, crossed her legs, one knee tossed casually over the other, leaving one of her dark blue wonderfully shaped bare feet vulnerable she suddenly yelps with surprise.
"I know you been waiting to do that, my faithful moon knight." The taller Alicorn mare said with a smile on her snout, looking at the Alicorn stallion standing next to her throne as she stretched her slender equine neck out, kissing him on his snout.
"Indeed, your highness, I apologize for the transgression." The Alicorn stallion said apologetically as taller Alicorn mare shakes her head no, and a smile forms once again on her snout. At the same time, Sunny noticed at the foot of the platform the older Queen Twilight Sparkle and younger Princess Twilight Sparkle have quite a bit of tension between them for some reason.
"Who are you, your highness?" Sunny inquires bluntly as she weights the Alicorn mare reaction with a critical squint, causing the Alicorn stallion to draw his blade from his sheath; the Alicorn mare reaches out and rests her slender hand on the pommel of the sword.
“No, my faithful moon knight. I will allow it. She has the right to be suspicious of all Alicorns because of the actions of Queen Twilight Sparkle and Princess Twilight Sparkle. Additionally, because of your high-level skill with a blade, she will not survive your initial strike." The Alicorn mare said with a slight hint of a warning as beads of perspiration form on Sunny's forehead, looking down the barrel of cock gun pointed right at her.
"Yes, My princess." The Alicorn stallion said, taking the hand off the pommel and bringing it to his lips and kissing the back of the Alicorn mare hand.
“I am Princess Luna Borealis…Ruler of the night and dreams…And the goddess of the moon. (Gestures her hand toward the Alicorn stallion standing next to her throne) This Alicorn stallion is my faithful appointed Moon Knight and nephew Prince Somnus Silverlight." Luna introduces Sunny's eyebrows shoot up in surprise, and she gropes at her side search for the non-existent pouch that contains her father’s journal.
"Let's see what this journal says about me? (Sunny's father's journal appears between Luna's painted fingernails). It said that I am a mythical figure from ancient Equestria with the power to enter the pony's dream. Would you agree with that, my dear nephew?" Luna asked as she continued flipping through the journal.
“You being a mythical figure I would not know…You will always be my auntie." Somnus answered as it caused Luna to chuckle and kiss him again on his snout.
"Oh, I found entry mentioning you…it says that the Princess of the night had many moon knights under her command," Luna said, showing the entry to Somnus, who chuckles under his breath.
"It seems that your misinformation campaign works very well, auntie…your enemies never figure out that you have only one moon knight," Somnus commented as she kissed him on his snout again.
"Huh? Wait a minute, your highness, you say Prince Somnus Silverlight? Your nephew?" Sunny exclaimed, shocked with the Alicorn stallion being calling her nephew.
“Sir Silverlight? Are you related to Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight and Justice Silverlight?” Sunny inquiry looking toward the Alicorn stallion.
"Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight is my younger sister, and Justice Silverlight is my father.” Prince Somnus answered.
"Your father! Does that mean you are part of the main royal family of ancient Equestria! (Somnus shake his head) So that means your mother is the sun goddess Princess Celestia Silverlight and that Alicorn sitting on the throne is her real sister." Sunny said, shocked as her knees gave out under her and sank to the ground.
"Oh, my stars! The members of the main royal family of ancient Equestria rule for six thousand years before Princess Twilight Sparkle took over the rule of ancient Equestria. My father would just die to have met the main royal family of ancient Equestria." Sunny exclaimed as she passed out from the overwhelming situation.
