The group stood in shock and horror as they found themselves surrounded by an army of changeling, and not just them but the citizens who hadn't found a hiding place in time found themselves surrounded by the insect like intruders. Soon some of the captured citizens were brought forth to the center of the town next to the group of heroes, Filthy Rich who was amongst the crowd looked around and found that his daughter was no where to be seen and was soon starting to worry despite her tantrum and runaway earlier and prayed that she as well as his wife who was still at home was safe and managed to find a place to hide from the invaders. Now that the crowd of Citizens attention was up and front the changeling queen soon flew up and landed on top of town hall to get a good view of her captured prey before she made her little speech, and soon she made her announcement.
"HELLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She boomed at the crowd like a musician at a concert before they play. " Now I'm sure all of you who've attended the Canterlot wedding last year already know who I am, but for those who don't allow me to introduce myself. I am Chrysalis Queen of the Changelings and soon to be ruler of not only Ponyville but the rest of Equestria as well"
"HA YOU WISH!!!!!!!!!" Dash shouted earning scared looks from the crowd especially her friends.
"DASH SHUT UP YOUR NOT HELPING!!!!!!!!!!!!" Spike shouted.
"No Spike I don't care if I die at this very spot I gotta say this" Rainbow dash replied. " If you honestly think you'll rule over not just our town but the rest of Equestria then your a freaking idiot ya changeling scum, we've stopped you before and sent you and your army packing before and we're more than happy to do it again. I'm not gonna stand by and let you endanger my town, Equestria, and put my little sister figure under your little spell of manipulation and brainwashing"
"I ain't brainwashed dumbass!!!!!" Scootaloo interrupted earning a shocked look from the Rainbow headed girl who was not expecting to hear that kind of language from her #1 fan .
"That'll do Scoots dear" chrysalis said looking down.
"Apologies your majesty" the filly apologized.
" Thank you" Chrysalis said and then proceeded to clear her throat before speaking again. " Now where was I ? Oh yeah! That was a nice and rather vulgar speech Rainbowdash and I commend your guts kid, but I'm afraid this time you and your friends aren't gonna stop me this time around"
"And what makes you think you'll actually succeed this time?" Dash asked.
"Simple" Chrysalis answered. " You see I actually planned out my takeover after months of locating your small town and not to brag but it is 100% foolproof" Dash couldn't help but scoff at her remark as she continued to talk.
"For centuries my people have been ridiculed, bullied, shunned, imprisoned for no reason and even murdered by all of you horrible creatures, all we wanted was to live in peace just like all of you but did we get it? NO!!!!!1" She began. "So now it's time for me and my Changelings to finally rise up and show you judgemental creatures what happens when you cross the wrong species. starters I'm gonna do a bit of "reorganizing" of your little town" One, I shall begin with this building that I'm standing on top of proudly. Town hall shall now be me and my three adorable subjects private living quarters, and we are not to be disturbed unless your called upon or summoned. The CMC couldn't help but stand proudly at the thought of having their own living quarters, Chrysalis then pointed at Golden oaks library.
"Two, Golden oaks Library shall be our base of operations to discuss our battle plans and future takeovers of every region of Equestria" After Chrysalis made her statement Twilight and Spike felt appalled and sick to their stomachs at the thought of their home being used for battle plans and warfare strategy's. The changeling queen the pointed to Sugarcube corner.
"Three, that little sweets cafe over there shall be the mess hall as well as the other eatery establishments in town" She said. " And any of the owners or chefs who work in each of em shall now work under me and I'd BETTER see the meals me, my three commanders, and my changelings order from ya or we'll find "alternate'' meals" The many cooks , chefs, and especially the Cake family couldn't help but shudder at the fact that while they enjoyed having a room full of hungry customers are now gonna have to feed an army of Changeling and were visibly terrified at the thought of accidentally making the wrong dish and upsetting the invaders. However Mr Cake showed the least bit of fear and stood up trying to act as brave as possible.
"If your gonna use my shop as a messhall then go the hell ahead, I'll cook for you and your insects but let my family go use me as your chef instead not my wife" He said bravely as Mrs Cake was shocked to hear her husband was willing to sacrifice himself to save her and the twins.
"Damn and I thought Dash had some guts" Chrysalis said slightly impressed at the stallions bravery and willingness to sacrifice himself to save his loved ones. " But don't worry no harm shall come to your wife and kids as long as you cook exactly what i request, and I'll have non of that gluten free crap"
"As you wish" He said coldly trying not to look offended that she criticized his loving wife's gluten free options that she came up with last year, and with nothing else to say he collected his wife and infant kids into an embrace which she was quick to return with tears, at the thought of her hubbies small sacrifice for the sake of her and the kids.
"Awwwwwwwww how sweet" She said sarcastically before clearing her throat again. " Moving right along. Four, all your respected homes shall be your prison chambers and my engineers are gonna ensure that your doors and windows are fitted with the finest metal bars, locks, and shield spells, I know no need to thank me. And as for the apartments and shops those shall be my subjects living quarters so if any of ya are living in those complexes, I recommend that you evict yourselves immediately and bunk with someone else like a good prisoner," The citizens in town stared in shock that their respected homes were gonna be turned into makeshift jail houses.
"Five" chrysalis continued while pointing towards the apple farms horizon. " The fields near that lovely little farm over there shall be where we harvest crops of all sorts , apples, vegetables, etc and every single apple tree out in the field shall be picked before the end of each day and I better not see one single apple missed, and I want fresh crops and I mean fresh" Applejack and Big Mac tried their hardest not too show anger at the fact that their lifelong apple fields were about to be used as a prison farm and that she expects them to have then bucked and picked before the day was done which is physically impossible given how huge the apple fields are.
"six" She continued. " The hospital and doctors clinic's shall are where my subjects are to be treated if injured or falling and the citizens shall only be treated if it's a serious injury or if they're needed back on the fields immediately, and I expect professional treatment and not any of that "here have a bandaid good as new shit" I want my subjects fully healed and well" The doctors and medics in town were disgusted that they now have to treat these invaders.
"And finally the fun part.....................................POSITIONS AND SCHEDULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Chrysalis continued earning less excited looks from the crowd. " Now, now hold your excitement, now let's get down to business" And with that Chrysalis soon began to list out the jobs.
1. Mr cake as stated you and every chef and restaurant owner in town shall be my personal cooks and once again i expect to have the meals that me and my subjects have ordered, and since Pinkie pie is one of your coworkers and Applejack knows her way around an apple pie they too shall help out in the kitchen as well. And as for the citizens of ponyville , their meals shall only consist of Bread, soup, sandwiches, stew, cider, water, egg's, fruits, and if they're good.......apple pie. And you shall have exactly 30 minutes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner breaks any minute longer and no food for a week . And to assure you don't try to poison my food, I'm placing Apple bloom in charge of the mess halls. "Applejack felt outright offended that she, pinkie, Mr cake and the other chefs were now forced to cook meals for the changelings and what's worse her own lil sis was in charge.
2. Twilight Sparkle since you know your way around literature and planning, you shall be my personal assistant and strategist of my upcoming takeovers, and I want well thought out plans, no BS. And to ensure you don't try calling for help using your magic scrolls Sweetie belle shall act as your supervisor and your little dragon friend over their shall have a muzzle placed over his mouth to ensure that he doesn't try to attack me with his fire breath. " Spike couldn't help but gulp that he was gonna have a muzzle placed over his mouth like a wild animal" and as for the mayor, you shall be my little housemaid and your security guards now work under my wing, and I expect not a single speck of dirt in my living quarters old woman. "Mayor mare showed true offense after being called old"
"I'll have you know I'm still in my early 30's!" She shouted.
"SHUT UP!!!!!!!!" A female Changeling shouted causing the mayor to not say another word.
3. Big macintosh, and 10 other citizens shall help around the applefields and again I expect those crops planted and every single apple tree bucked and collected by the end of the day and not an hour later their will be consequences. And Fluttershy since you know your way around animals , I'm putting you in charge of keeping those animal and insect friends of yours from eating my crops, and if I find one bite taken out of one of my fruits or vegetables I'll add them to the messhalls menu . " Fluttershy was horrified at the fact that Chrysalis would punish her animal friends by serving them at the messhall which made her sick to the stomach, but knowing that there was no other option she agreed.
"Yes Chrysalis" She said scared. " I'll make sure non of the animals touch your crops just don't hurt them, and please let me feed them.
"Good" chrysalis replied. " And yes I will allow you to feed them during your breaks, as long as it's nothing from the fields or the messhall"
"Yes ma'am" She said sadly as Big mac couldn't help but feel sorry for one of his best friends and her forest friends.
"Excellent" Chrysalis continued. " Anyways.............................................................................."
4. Doctor Stable you and your medical team shall man the hospital while the other medics in town shall work the smaller offices. And since your nephew knows a little about medical procedures he too shall work along side you. And to ensure you keep a sharp eye on my subjects if they're in critical conditions , the empty operating rooms in the hospital and doctors offices shall be your cells. And once again I expect my citizens and subjects to be fully treated and healthy. "As she made her statement Applejack looked worryingly at her boyfriend and his uncle, however Caramel returned her look and instead gave her a " Don't worry babe I'll be ok I promise" look which gave Applejack a little hope that he'll be alright as long as he cooperates.
5. As for the young, infant fillies and colt's they shall be put in charge and watched over by Mrs cake and the schoolyard over there shall be a daycare area while their parents are working. " Mr cake let out a slight sigh of relief that while his wife would be put to work by this evil queen, he was glad that she gave her the safest job and that she and the twins would be safe"
6. And finally Rainbow dash and the other pegasus's, you shall be put in charge of clean up duty throughout the town and the weather team will continue their usual routine along with your new cleanup duties and to ensure not a single bit of trash I'm putting Scootaloo in charge of you all. " Dash let out a loud growl at the fact that she was gonna be used as a garbage man and what's worse her lil sister figure was to be in charge of her, even though a part of her knows that she deserves this after what she's done to the poor girl.
"Oh and one more thing, my subjects Thorax and his older brother Pharynx shall be out on guard duty" She continued. " Now before we get started my three commanders here shall close this off , take it away girls"
"Yes your magisty" Bloom said with a bow and then she and her friends stared at the captured citizens with the coldest stares imaginable. " You all hurt us more than you know, the way you shunned, yelled, and ridiculed us hurt way more than having a broken leg"
"We tried to explain to you the reason why we did it" Scoots jumped in. " We tried to ask you all for your help but did you listen? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You all instead chose to ridicule us as soon as your secrets were spread"
"You yelled at us, covered us in rain, banned us from stores, acted like we weren't your friend or family, told us to go away, and outright bullied us more that that rich brat Diamond Tiara" Sweetie belle replied. " Yes we shouldn't have spread you secrets and that was wrong of us, but we didn't have a choice cause unlike you we actually cared for our friends and didn't want their secrets spread even if it meant making a harsh sacrifice, so now this is on all of you" As they made their statement the main 6 and the rest of the town bowed their heads in shame at the fact that they had a hand in this takeover and wished so badly that they could take back their harsh treatments towards the CMC's.
"Sweetie belle, please" Rarity said as tears started to form.
"It's too late Rarity, Ponyville and the rest of Equestrias blood is on you" She said coldly and then the three of em began to walk back to chrysalis but were soon stopped by a familiar voice.
"Guy's wait!" Came a voice and soon the CMC looked back to find some of their friends and classmates Snails, Snips, Rumble, Twist, Pipsqueak, Dinky, Tender taps, Featherweight, and even Silverspoon standing right in front of them.
"What do you want? Especially you Silver spoon?" Bloom asked.
"Listen I know I'm the last person you guys want to talk to but just here he out" She said.
"phhhttt this outta be good" Scootaloo scoffed as Silverspoon took a deep breath before speaking again.
"I'm sorry" She began earning shocked looks from the group.
"What?" Sweetie belle said .
"I'm sorry" Silver spoon continued. " I was a major asshole to you guys and I don't blame you guys for hating me. The truth is I hated Diamond Tiara just as much as you guys did, I never wanted to be her friend to begin with. When i moved here a few years ago I was shy and felt like I would never make any friends but that's when I met tiara, and since we both had one thing in common aka we were both rich I felt like it was only appropriate to hang out with another rich pony. At first I was happy to finally have a friend but that's when I saw her true colors, she was nothing more than a bully and a smug jerk and worst of all she even bullied me into acting just like her which made me sick to my stomach. A part of me wanted to call of our friendship but I was scared at what she would do to me if I ever broke up our friendship or stopped her from bullying others. in the end I ended up being nothing but a coward that is until you guys left. After you guys left Tiara did the cruelest thing, she thru a good riddance party for you three and what's worse she bullied and blackmailed our classmates to come and "celebrate" and that was the last straw. It was high time for me to put a stop to her, so I went to Ms Cherrilee and confessed her entire plan and soon her little good riddance party and reputation as shut down along with her position on the newspaper team. And I finally plucked up the courage to end our "friendship" as I was sick and tired of following this bully around and watching her hurt not just you guys but many others. I don't expect you guys to forgive me as I should have long defended you from Tiara but I was too much of a coward to do anything, but for what it's worth girls..............................I'm sorry" The rich pony said nothing else and simply lowered her head in shame, however she soon found someone touch her shoulder which caused her to look up and find the CMC looking at her with surprisingly happy expressions on their faces.
"It's alright Spoons" Apple bloom began. " Ta be honest we always knew you were a nice gal cause you didn't seem like the bullying type and I could see the hurt and remorse in your eyes whenever you taunted or made fun of us"
"Yeah your not a bad pony Silver" Scoots jumped in. " Your not too bad after all, I should have known that jackass Tiara manipulated you, and don't call yourself a coward I getcha. If I was in your shoes I probably would have done the same thing as well"
"Amen" Sweetie belle replied. " Your a nice girl Silverspoon and Diamond Tiara was a fool for making you hide your true colors, your nothing like her or those traitors over there your a good person and don't let anyone say so otherwise" After making their statements Silver spoon couldn't help but shed a tear at the fact that they've forgiven her even after everything.
"Thank you guys, thank you so much" Silver spoon said. " If there's anythign you guys want me to do even to help you get revenge on Tiara I'll do it to make it up to you guys for her harsh behavior"
"Count us in too" Snails jumped in. " We should have had you guys back when Tiara blackmailed you but we didn't"
"We were cowards" Snips said. " We should have helped you guys "
"But we didn't and now look what's happened" Rumble replied sadly especially seeing his friends ( and secret crush) going down this dark path.
"So let us make it up to you guy's" Twist said.
"Whatever jobs you guys or Chrysalis need, we'll do it if it means showing that we still care about you guys and that your still our friends" Tender taps said as the others nodded their heads in unison, the CMC looked at the 9 of them with smiles on their faces happy to know that at least a few ponies still care about them.
"Thank you guys" Bloom said. " It's nice to know that at least a few ponies still care about us. You know what? Since you guys are our friends, the 9 of you shall be our seconds in command, if that's alright with you Chrysalis?"
"Weeeeeeeellllllllllllll as Pinkie would say "Now that's not a real thing silly" She said earning a offended look from the party pony. " I'll allow it especially since 9 times the commanders will be beneficial to my takeover"
"Thank you your majesty" Bloom said as she, Sweetie belle, and scootallo bowed down to her along with rumble and the others.
"Rumble you can't be serious?!" Thunderlane shouted.
"YEAH THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!!" Snowflake shouted as well to his own little brother.
"I'm sorry big bro" Rumble sadly replied.
"But we don't wanna see our friends hurting anymore" Featherweight replied to his bodybuilder older brother earning sad looks from the two friends eyes as Chrysalis made her closing statement.
"Now that that's settled your work begins NOW" Chrysalis declared. " We shall start by renovating the apartment's and houses with metal bars and shield spells, and if there's any escape attempts you shall be executed on the spot................OWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " But before Chrysalis could continue, she looks down to find non other than angel biting her leg, after a few seconds she scoops the little bunny up with her magic as he throws his fist in the air trying to hit her face causing her to giggle slighty.
"Hehe you a little fighter aren't ya?" She giggled. " I like that. Ya know what? Your kinda adorable I think I'll make ya my own personal court jester little rabbit. Now let's get to work"
"You heard the queen, TAKE THESE TRAITORS TO THEIR JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Bloom ushered the changeling army who was quick to drag and escort the struggling citizens to their respected jobs.
"Let me go you broots!!!!!!!!!!" Rarity shouted as she was being dragged away. " Sweetie Belle please!!!!!"
"Bloom don't do this!!!!!!!!!!!" AJ shouted as well.
"This isn't you Scoots!!!!!!!!!" Rainbow dash replied as she tried to struggle away from her changeling captors.
"ANNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Fluttershy tearfully shouted as she was being dragged away from her rabbit friend who continued to try and break free from the changeling.
"This isn't funny" Pinkie said as her once poofy hair deflated as she was being dragged away"
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS CHRYSALIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Twilight shouted as she and Spike were dragged away as well.
"Oh I already have Sparkle, and rest assured NO one is gonna stop me this time" She gloated as she the CMC and their friends watched the main 6 and everyone else being dragged by the changelings, after a few minutes she stared at the remaining changeling.
"As for the rest of you" She began. " I want you to look all over town for any citizens hiding and to bring them back here so i can assign them their jobs as well, is that clear?"
"YES YOUR MAJESTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" They all said in unison before dispersing to look for any who was still hiding, as Chrysalis watched them go she couldn't help but feel proud of herself, that her latest plan has come into motion and that she now has not only her Changelings but not 3 but 12 commanders by her side.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh It's good to be queen" She said to herself. " Come along kids we have much to discuss"
"Yes your majesty" They all said in unison as they entire group made their way inside town hall.
Meanwhile
Inside the Crusaders tree house, we find Diamond Tiara sitting comfortably on a beanbag chair chowing down on a bag of chips, candy bars, and a cola that she snagged front the front counter when she ran out of the supermarket( another thing that her father had to pay for along with the damaged groceries). After months of only eating healthy stuff thanks to her old man ,she savored every single sugary and salty taste from the goodies that she stole. Now while she wouldn't be caught dead going inside her mortal enemies cheap little clubhouse, it was the closest thing to a hiding place from her father as with the citizens still pissed of at her for what she's done , there's no way they'd agree to have her hide in their houses or shops without informing Filthy rich about her hiding place. As she ate she couldn't help but mutter and groan slightly at the event's these past 4 months, she openly berated the punishment's she received from everyone with her dad grounding her for an unknown period of time, Silver spoon snitching on her and ending their friendship, her classmates abandoning her, the whole town shunning her, only getting healthy food to eat, and worst of all getting kicked off the newspaper team. As she took a sip of her soda she continued to curse and berate everyone who betrayed her.
"God damn it" She growled. " I can't believe I'm resorting to hiding inside this stupid treehouse, those blank flanks could have at least painted it blue. Why did it have to end like this? It's not like I murdered those three losers or anything, but everyone is treating me like the bad guy, all because I wanted to give them some juicy gossip. It's not my fault they can't take a joke! And screw that little traitor Silver spoon for tattling on me! I should have known she wasn't loyal from the first day I met her and now look what's happened? I lost everything and no one in towns gonna let me hear the end of it, damn it they're the ones who posted the stories but yet I'm the one who's getting the most fire. "Sigh" Maybe I should just runaway too? Daddy's gonna kill me anyways when he find's me, plus I stole a bunch of snacks so I'm not looking so pretty, maybe I'll just take a train and go out of town for a while. I can crash with my cousin until everyone cool's off and realize that it's not my fault" As she was making her statement she heard a voice from outside the treehouse.
"Ya see anything man? Came a voice.
"Oh crap!" Tiara quietly shouted. " Must be my dad" She then ducked and stealthily crawled carefully towards the window to see who was outside, she took a quick peak and her eye's went wide with shock when she found that the source of her voice was not her father but a pair of changelings who were out searching for citizens who were hiding.
"No nothing here man, barn's empty aside from that dog" One of em said. " What about the shed?
"Nothing, that is if a few moths count?" The other one said as Tiara continued to quietly observe them from the safety of the treehouse.
"OMG what are those things? "She asked herself, then realization hit her. " Wait I remember Cherrilee giving a lecture about these creatures one time, i think they're called..........Changelings? But what are they doing here?"
"Hey what about that little treehouse over there" One of the changeling asked causing the young filly to gulp and quickly duck at the thought of those creatures finding her.
"Hmmmmmmmmmmm" The second one thought. " Nah I doubt anyone would hide inside something as obvious as a lil treehouse"
"Yeah I guess your right" The other changeling said." Let's keep looking in the fields"
"Sounds like a plan" The other one agreed. And with that the two Changelings walked away to keep looking for any rogue citizens as the young filly breathed a sigh of relief that she was safe.......................................for now.
"Maybe I'll just stay in here for a while" She thought to herself.
