With her friends gathered in the new map room Twilight told them all of her nightmares. The all sat in shock and Fluttershy began to cower. "I can take that thing down" Rainbow Dash suddenly said. 

"I'm not so sure 'bout that partner, I mean... is that thing even real?" Applejack asked, eyeing twilight suspiciously.

"It sounds simply dreadful, I hope that beast is not real." said Rarity as she put a hoof to her forehead.

"I scanned the kitchen before I told you this and the damage was real. Somepony or something broke in last night and I intend to put this mystery to rest." Twilight stated. "Find some tools that we can use to block the doors and windows girls. If something happens again tonight we will stick together until we can stop whatever this is." The mane six went to complete their tasks to prepare for this nightmare.

With the preparations in place the group of friends parted ways and Twilight set off to bed. She suddenly found herself in a room of the castle she had barely been inside of. The empty storage room was now full of various shadow monsters. The princess of friendship began firing magic bolts and kicking the things that got close. All of the injured shadows leaked black slime and made bloodcurdling screams. The purple mare kept fighting until all that was left was a black puddle. Without warning the puddle rose and imitated the faces of her friends in pain. In a flash she was standing at the smoldering ruin of her former home with an evil laugh coming from some where around her. Twilight woke up inside of what was once a barricade with Spike pulling to get her free.
"Twilight thank Celestia you're alright!" Spike exclaimed "It's almost midday and I found you asleep in that blockade making strange gurgling noises!" 

"What!" the purple mare shouted "What is happening to me? I need to have the girls sleep over here tonight so the can help me figure this out!" Twilight said, her face showing the panic that she felt.
