Chapter 19: The Dragon Rulers Part 3
The six charge through the door and make their way past the entrance, they make it to the main corridor, where they see Neighsay standing in the middle of the room. He glares at them as they all grind to a stop
"I knew you would free those creatures colt." Says Neighsay
"Out of our way! You think you are saving Equestria but your not! You're making it easier for whoever truly wants to steal the deck to take it!" Yells Smolder.
"You would say that, this deck has been in safe keeping for a decade. Not once have we had a problem keeping it, until now, now that you creatures showed up. This is no coincidence in my mind, It is YOU who plan to steal it!" Yells Neighsay.
"Chancellor please! Just hear us out!" Begged Ocellus.
"There is no time for talk! You must be stopped now! Come here puppet!" Yells Neighsay and pointing towards a dark corner. Slowly, a dark shadow can be seen stepping out from the darkness. It was Starlight Glimmer, her eyes had no pupils, and she stumbled towards Neighsay like a Zombie. The six gasp upon seeing her.
"Neighsay you snake! What did you do to her!?" Demanded Sandbar.
"She is fine, just under my control. Her loss in our battle allowed the shadows to manipulate her mind, making her my puppet. You want her back, you must duel her!" Said Neighsay with a smirk. Starlight lifts her duel disk and activates it, a small cloud of purple miasma surrounded her. "Keep them busy Starlight, I need to get to the vault." Neighsay quickly makes his way out of the room and into the main corridor.
"We have to follow Neighsay! We got to stop him!" Says Gallus.
"We can't just leave Councilor Glimmer like this!" Said Silverstream.
"She's right, we can't" Said Sandbar.
"What do we do then?" Asked Ocellus.
"One of us must duel her to save her while the rest go after Neighsay." Said Smolder.
"I'll do it, I can't stand to see her this way." Says Silverstream.
"Can you handle her by yourself?" Asked Ocellus.
"I...I think." Responded Silverstream.
"Yona stay, Since Yona carry mean ponies, Yona won't be able to keep up as fast." Said Yona.
"I'll stay too, Just in case." Says Gallus.
"Alright, when this duel is over, you must catch up with us. We can only keep the deck safe if all of us are present." Says Sandbar. They all agree and hug eachother. Sandbar, Ocellus, and Smolder then run past Starlight to run after Neighsay.
"O-ok Councilor Starlight. I'm really sorry I have to do this, but I have to duel you." Says Silverstream. Starlight in response Lifts up her hoof and activates her duel disk, now surrounding her and Silverstream in purple clouds of mist. Silverstream feels a wave of emotions hit her, she looks at Starlight feeling overwhelming amounts of sadness for her as she activates her own duel disk.
"DUEL"
[Silverstream vs. Starlight Glimmer]
"I-I will go first, I draw." Says Silverstream. "I have Warrior of Atlantis in my claw, by discarding him, I can add 'A Legendary Ocean' to my claw, Which I now activate. Now, this card is treated as Umi, and All water monsters gain an extra 200 attack and defense, and the level of all water monsters in our claws and field are reduced by one. And with Legendary Ocean's effect, I can summon Depth Shark to the field. {1400 + 200atk. 0 + 200def. Lv 5} I set one card and now end."
"...." Starlight stays silent as she draws, only to speak up when she draws a card. Her voice is groggily and monotone, like a zombie. "I've drawn Fortune Fairy En, I reveal her when drawn, then special summon her in defense...I can then destroy one set spell and trap card." The set card on Silverstream's side of the field is destroyed. "Now I place one monster face down and end."
[Silverstream 3 cards/ Starlight 4 cards]
"My turn. I guess I draw." Says Silverstream. "Since I control a water monster, I can summon Cyber Shark without tributing. {2100 +200 atk. 2000 + 200 def, Lv 5}. I will now overlay my two sharks for an Xyz Summon, I build the Overlay Network to Xyz summon Shark Fortress! {2400atk. 1800def. Lv 5.} By getting rid of one of my Xyz materials, My monster can attack twice, I will attack both your face up and your face down cards." The Giant Fortress aims two guns at cards, blasting both cards and destroying them.
"You flipped up my magical merchant, I excavate my deck till I draw a spell or trap card, all non spell and trap cards excavated are sent to the grave. She draws 2 cards before drawing a spell. "The spell I add to my hoof is Berserker Soul. The other 2 are sent to the grave"
"Berserker Soul, I've heard of that card before in class." Said Gallus.
"Yona has too, Yona heard it's very powerful." Said Yona.
"Well, I end my turn now." Said Silverstream.
"Drawing." Said Starlight. "I drew Fortune Fairy Fortune Fairy Hikari. When drawn, I can reveal her and special summon her. Then One monster you control is instantly destroyed."
"No! No please!" Silverstream begs as her fortresses self destructs, igniting in a ball of fire as the fortune fairy appears on the field.
"When your monster is destroyed, I can special summon one level 1 spellcaster monster from my deck, I choose Fortune Lady Light. {?atk. ?def. Lv 1}." Says Starlight. "Her attack is equal to her level times 200, meaning she is at 200 attack at the moment. Next I summon Breaker, The Magical Warrior {1600atk. 1000def. Lv 4} When summoned he has a spell counter placed on him, for every spell counter he gains 300 attack, making him 1900. But I'm not done, I now activate the spell Burden of The Mighty. This makes all monsters on my field lose attack equal to their level times 100. Meaning Breaker now has 1500 attack, and Lady Light has 100. Breaker now attacks you directly." Breaker lifts his sword and shield and charges Silverstream, bringing his sword down on her causing her to scream in pain. She collapses to the ground and looks up at Breaker who stands over her.
"Why...why isn't he going away?" Asked Silverstream.
"Because I am now activating my most devastating card, Berserker Soul! Since I inflicted 1500 points of direct damage, I can Activate Berserker soul. I discard my whole hoof, Now I draw cards, for every monster card I draw, I send to the grave and you are dealt 500 points of damage, this only stops till I draw a non monster card." Said Starlight
"No Way! This could end her right here!" Yells Gallus.
"Draw, I've Drawn Old Vindictive Magician, that's 500 points of damage!" Said Starlight. Breaker lifts his word up and slashes her again, causing her to scream again. The screams cause both Roulette and Brisk to stir awake, they blink a few times, almost forgetting where they were, but all memories slowly return to them. They look at each other before looking at the duel between Starlight and Silverstream, with Silverstream still on the ground being attacked.
"Silverstream!!!" Yells Gallus.
"Draw! White Magician Pikeru! That's another 500!" Yells Starlight. Breaker once again slashes her with his sword, again, Silverstream let's out a pained scream. "Draw! Blast Magician! Another 500!" Breaker again slashes her, Silver now in the fetal position continues to scream.
"Stop this now!!!" Yells Yona.
"Draw!...hmmm, Pitch-Black Power Stone. The effects of Berserker Soul now end." Said Starlight as Breaker now returns to his original position. Silverstream remains on the ground, now sobbing into her claws.

[Silverstream 1000/Starlight 4000]
"SIlverstream!" Yells Gallus as he rushes towards Silverstream, however, he runs into an invisible forcefield, being held up by the purple mist. "No! Let me through!"
"G-G-G-Gallus..." Silver says through her tears.
"Silverstream you have to get up! you can't lose!" Says Gallus.
"I...I can't!" Whined Silverstream.
"Yes you can! I know you are stronger than this! I've seen how you duel, you never let anything get you down! You love dueling and the fun that comes from it! You can't let this duel take that way from you! I believe in you!" Says Gallus. Slowly Silver moves her claws away from her face to look up at Gallus, tears streaming down her face. She listens closely to what Gallus says to her, slowly she nods and begins to stand up, she stumbles a bit, but eventually makes it to her feet.
"Alright Silver! You can do this! You can beat her!" Cheers Gallus.
"Silverstream is bestest! Silver can still beat Councilor pony!" Yells Yona. In secret, Roulette and Brisk keep watching.
"M-My turn...I D-d-draw..." Says Silverstream. Her eyes widen upon the card she drew. " I activate Moray of Greed, By shuffling 2 water monsters into my deck, I draw 3 cards. I place one card face down and summon Deep Sea Diva. {200atk 400def. Tuner} When she is summoned, I can special summon another card from my deck that is level 3 or lower, I summon Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince. {800atk. 0def. Lv 1} I end by placing one card face down."
"Draw." Says Starlight. "during my standby phase, Fortune fairy light gains a level, so her attack goes up by 200, but Burden of the mighty cuts that in half, only making her 200. Now with Breaker I will end this! Breaker, attack her diva and finish her off." As Breaker was about to attack, Silverstream speak up.
"No! You will not attack with him again! I activate my trap Mirror Force! All face up attack position monsters on your side of the field are destroyed!" As her card flips, both Breaker and Lady Light are destroyed, But Fortune Fairy Hikari isn't since it is in defense.
"I end." Starlight says blankly.
[Silverstream 3 cards, Starlight 2 card]
"I now draw." Says Silverstream. "I now tune for 3, my diva with Neptabyss I synchro Summon Tatsunoko! {1700atk. 500def. Lv 3 Tuner} Tatsunoko has the effect that allows me to synchro summon a monster by using the second material with a monster in my hand, I have the level 4 monster Double Fin Shark in my claw, but thanks to a Legendary Ocean, it can be treated as a Level 3 monster, Which I do to tune for 6. I now Synchro Summon Coral Dragon! {2400atk. 500def. Lv 6}"
"Alright Silverstream! great move!" Yells Gallus. Silverstream looks back at Gallus and smiles before looking back up at Coral dragon, who looks back at Silverstream. The dragons cues obediently at Silverstream.
"It's good to see you too buddy." Says Silverstream reaching out to Coral Dragon and petting him on the nose. "Now, I still have a normal summon, from my claw, With the effect of a Legendary Ocean, I can summon without tributing, the level 5 monster Rage of the Deep Sea! {0atk. 0def. Lv 5.} His effect has him gain 500 attack for every fish, sea serpent, and aqua type monster in my grave, do the math because I count 8, meaning that is a grand total of 4000!"
"That's enough to wipe councilor pony out!" Yells Yona.
"Coral dragon, Attack her fortune fairy!" The dragon leans it's head back before unleashing a giant jet stream of water from it's mouth, hitting the fortune fairy and destroying it. "Now Rage of the Deep Sea, Attack her directly and end this duel!" Rage of the Deep Sea raises it's trident and points it at Starlight who only stands there, A giant tsunami wave of water rises up behind him and then floods towards Starlight, the water hits her and sweeps her off her hooves. she lets out a scream as her life points drop to zero instantly.

The purple mist dissipates, Instantly Gallus charges over and hugs Silverstream tight, who was on the verge of collapsing from exhaustion.
"I knew you could win! I knew it!" Says Gallus.
"Thank you for for believing in me Gallus." Says Silverstream hugging back.
"Yona not want to interrupt, but is councilor pony ok?" Asked Yona.
"Oh right, let me check." Said Gallus letting go of Silverstream to check on starlight. He nudges her but she doesn't move. he leans down to put his ear next to her mouth to listen to her breathing. "She's fine, just unconscious."
"Good, now Yona and friends can catch up to other friends." Says Yona.
"We can't leave Councilor Starlight here." Says Silverstream.
"Yona can't carry another pony, too heavy!" Said Yona.
"It's ok, we'll hop off." Says Roulette suddenly as she and Brisk both get off. Yona, Gallus, and Silverstream all look over at them, Gallus stepping in front of Silverstream protectively and holds up his duel disk.
"You two stay back or we'll take you on again!" Gallus yelled.
"Yona too!" Yona chimed in.
"Whoa, take it easy you two, we aren't going to do anything." Said Brisk calmly.
"Yeah, like I'm going to believe you Brisk! You've done nothing but try and hurt us! Physically, mentally, socially. And you Roulette, you betrayed us! We thought you were our friend!" Yelled Gallus. Brisk stares at him with a disappointed look as Roulette hangs her head. After a bit She raises her head again and looks Gallus in the eyes.
"Gallus...I'm sorry. I thought... We were told you guys were trying to steal the Dragon Rulers. The way Neighsay explained it made sense and I truly believed him. I thought we were the ones doing good, but..." Roulette mutters.
"But after seeing that last duel, that was just...cruel. I'm not a cruel pony no matter how you think of me. No one deserves to be, attacked like that. Besides, that last duel, I felt something. Something like I have never felt before. My buster Blader spoke to me, I heard him, he called out my name in agony. Neighsay said during Shadow duels, the monster become real, and trust me, we felt it. But the way you connected with your monsters, it felt natural. It felt like you have a genuine connection to your monsters and...I felt wrong standing against it for some reason." Brisk monologued.
Gallus Slowly lowers his duel disk as they spoke. He was not sure if he genuinely trusted them, but Yona had a very sympathetic look on her face.
"After our duel, it just, feels like Neighsay has to be wrong. I don't know why, he has to be wrong." Says Roulette. "We want to help you, please, we think we can help stop him."
"I really don't know. I can't trust you, Definitely not you Brisk, and You Roulette, you still betrayed us. What makes you think I will just forgive you and trust the both of you after what you have done to us?" Said Gallus. Again, Roulette hangs her head and Brisk shifts his head to the side, with and angry yet sad expression on his face.
"....Yona Trust you." Said Yona. Brisk, Roulette, Gallus, and Silverstream all glance at Yona in surprise.
"Seriously Yona!? After everything they've done to us and you, You're willing to forgive them just like that!? WHY!?" Said Gallus Puzzled.
"Because Yona know they are telling the truth! Yona represents Honesty now remember? Yona don't truly know how, but Yona can feel their feelings, they are not telling lies, they are telling the truth. Mean ponies.....Yona mean, Brisk and Roulette are being genuine to Yona and Gallus. They are truly sorry and want to help!" Yona said Sternly. Gallus looks back over at them, Both Roulette and Brisk are looking at Gallus with remorseful expressions. Eventually, Gallus sighs and concedes.
"Fine, they can come and help us, but I am watching you two closely. If even one of you thinks of trying anything to stop us, I'll settle it right then and there, got me?" Said Gallus sternly. they both softly smile and nod.
"Great! Help Yona get Councilor pony on Yona back!" Said Yona. Gallus and Brisk go over to starlight and pick her, setting her on Yona's back.
"We need to get to the others quickly, I hope we aren't too late." Said Silver as they all go down the corridor that Neighsay and the others went down. Hopefully they will get to them in time.
