//------------------------------// // Beutiful hearts <3 // Story: beutiful hearts // by Weisted Machine //------------------------------// Authors note: Sept. 10 was suicide prevention day, so I decided to type up a story about a suicidal pony... but it kinda ties in with suicide prevention day... Derpy awoke from her sleep, covered in her own tears and tear soaked bed. She got up and carried herself to the bathroom where she looked at her image. Her messy, unwashed, Mane covered her face, and just under her eyes were dark bags. Derpy, not caring what she looked like trotted back to her bed where she lay in the covers. A sharp tap rang against her window warily Derpy got up and looked out the window. Her tormentors stood outside under celstias sun gazing up at her window. One of her bullies trotted to her doorstep and rang her doorbell. Derpy let out a sigh and went back to bed. She wasn't in the mood for dealing with the ponies right now. The ring of her doorbell came again, more repeatedly. Derpy let out a frustrated groan before getting out of bed and clumsily stumbled down the staires. By her door she saw the blurry dark images of the ponies behind the window glass. "GO AWAY!" She yelled, her voice cracking for not have being used for so long. The ponies attention immedialty snapped back to her. The ding dong rings came again, but faster. Derpy opened the door, and was greeted with a rock to the face. She blinked and heard the thud of the rock hitting her porch step. Then came the mean laughter of her bullies. "Going to roll your right eye around again and again until it falls out now?" One of them asked before the trio went back to laughter. Derpys heart broke once again and her throat swelled up again, and her eyes welled up with water. "Hey Derpy, I'm surprised your house isn't in ruins yet!" One of the other ponies laughed. Derpy squeezed her eyes shut and began closing the door, but before it shut completely, the last pony stuck a hoof between the remaining space between it. "Derpy, a departing message. No one likes you because of your weird eye and your to clumsy, No one cares for you, and no one loves you, haha, hard to believe somepony will ever love…. THAT!" He said, sticking a hoof in the air and pointing it at Derpy, who didn't meet his gaze. "You're right…. I guess I am useless in this world. Maybe if this world didn't have me in it, I wonder if it would be better?" Derpy asked, her voice cracking with tears. Her bullies looked at one another before one of them smirked and looked at her. "You're right Derpy, this world won't only be much better without you, but everypony will CELEBRATE with the fact that your not in it to screw things up more than they already are!" He said before the rest of the ponies broke into fits of laugher. Derpy sighed and closed the door. With no energy, she took a quill and a paper and began to write. ----------------------------- Moondancer trotted over to the Sugar Cube Corner, where Pinkie Pie invited her along with everypony in town. Pinkie had said that she was throwing this big 'yay its Derpys birthday' party, and of course, Moondancer wanted to attend her friends party. Moondancer had known Derpy since High School, where they were in the same class for the year. Moondancer opened opened the bakeries door with a hoof, and looked inside to see everypony, but Derpy. Pinkie stood on a chair, examining the crowds for the birthday mare. "WHERE'S DERPY!?" Pinkie screamed, and everypony stopped what they were doing to look up at Pinkie. The ponies looked at each other and shrugged. "I'll go get her! I know where she lives!" Moondancer called from the crowd. Pinkie looked at her. "OK BUT BE HERE ASAP!" She said in her normal, high pitched voice. Moondancer nodded before exiting the bakery and galloped in the direction of Derpys house. Her house was dark, the blindfolds were folded so no sunlight could flow through the blinds, and the area seemed to have a dark aura around it. Derpy timidly entered Derpys gates and looked up to the front door. It was open a smudge so anyone can enter her house. Moondancer poked her head inside Derpys house. "Hello!?" Moondancer called. Silence returned her call. Moondancer took a step in, and nothing happened. The white pony built up her courage and went inside the house. Everything was in place as it should, but something seemed off. Moondancer trotted to the kitchen, and on the counter top was a piece of paper, neatly folded in 2 halves. Moondancer picked it up with a hoof and unravelled the paper. Dear whoever this concerns, Yup It's me. I don't think you'd expect to hear from me, considering I have no friends and all but I wanted to let you know so you can throw a big 'YAY DERPYS NOT HERE SHE WILL NEVER COME BACK' party. I'm gone now, not that it concerns any one of you but I've just been so lonely… I have no friends, I screw everything up and heck, I ruined the city halls roof before Apple Jack went out to compete in the games! So yea, celebrate that I'm gone, and I won't see any of your faces again. You don't have to worry about me screwing things up like I always do. Goodbye. - Derpy Moondancer widened her eyes and read the note again before realizing what her grey friend had done. "DERPY!!" She cried again in Derpys home. Moondancer looked around franticlly, before wondering where Derpy would have attempted. Moondancer dashed up the stares to the top floor. Every room doors was open except one, which was on the other end of the hall. Moondancer charged at it with all of her speed. She halted in front of the door and tried to open the door with a hoof, but it was locked from inside. Moondancer summoned up her magic in her horn and with a blast of energy, the door broke into splinters and shattered before the white unicorn. Moondancer looked inside to see a limp shape in the corner of the room. "Derpy!" Moondancer raced to her friend and picked her up. Moondancer rested Derpys head on her lap and began stroking her messy yellow mane. "Derpy… It's ok… Everythings gonna be alright… its ok" Moondancer cooed with a shaky voice, and fear began bubbling up in her chest. Derpy didn't stir, just laid limp in Moondancers lap as still as the silence that embraced them. Around Derpys neck Moondancer noticed a thin white string tied tightly around her throat. Moondancer followed the string where it eventually ended and it looked like the end had been ripped forcefully. Moondanced looked up to see the other half of the string tied to a large pipe above the two. Moondancer looked back at Derpy. She tried to hang herself. "Derpy…" Moondancer felt tears well up in her eyes as she placed a hoof onto her friends chest, searching for a sign of life. Derpys heart didn't beat. "no..no… NO! NONONONONONO NOOOOO!" Moondancer broke into sobs and hugged Derpy close. "Derpy!! No! why!? why did you do it!? I love you! Come back! Please!" Moondancer screamed. She shook Derpys limp body, but no sign of movement came. Moondancer let her fresh tears fall onto Derpys grey coat. Then Derpys chest rose up, then it fell down. Moondancer looked at her. Derpys chest rose and fell again. "DERPY!" Moondacner screamed. One of Derpys eyes opened a smidge. "Derpy…" Moondancer said once more, but in a hushed whisper. "Moondancer…." Derpy said quietly. "Don't leave! Please! Don't go!" Moondancer said between sobs. Derpy looked up at Moondancer. "Don't do this… You're the most beautiful mare i've seen… I love you Derpy, I really do! Don't go… please!" Derpys eyes snapped open. "Y-You love me?" She asked. Moondancer nodded. "Very much so!" Moondancer said again. Derpy closed her eyes. "I love you too…" Derpy said quietly. Moondancer squeezed Derpy close to her. "Oh Derpy… Don't leave ever again like this, you understand?" Moondancer asked. "Moondancer…. I won't…. " Moondancer smiled through her tears. "Derpy…. Nothing will be the same without you"
