My Little Pokémon

Cloudy with a chance of Delta

Holon Region. Holon Marsh. Afternoon.

The final destination before reaching Settlement Oscar. Reaching here were Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Rarity. The others had yet to find their way at this part of Holon. Joining them on this journey was a Mew that resided within the Holon Region.

After some squabbling and some convincing from Pinkie Pie's Mew, the Mew from Holon was journeying with them with Pinkie's Mew being her guide. She was a nervous one compared to Pinkie Pie's Mew and practically every other Mew out there with their energetic and outgoing personalities.

"Mew-Mew!" Pinkie's Mew held out a cupcake for her, insisting that she would eat it. Holon's Mew gladly did so, devouring the cupcake without a second thought. She wasn't nervous in the face of that.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash peered over some bushes while her friends were having afternoon lunch. Within her sights, a Yanmega could be spotted. Using her Pokedex, she had observed that Yanmega was a Bug-Steel-Type as a Delta. Rainbow Dash was itching for a Pokemon Battle right about now and Yanmega looked like the perfect candidate.

"So what do you think Phione's gonna do? You know...finding Jirachi and everything. "Pinkie Pie spoke to Rarity, bringing up the topic of Jirachi.

"I'm sure that Phione has something. He did receive Arceus' blessing so there must be something special that she can do." Rarity replied. "I can only imagine that it will be something glorious. Arceus is an amazing Pokemon after all, so it stands to reason that his blessings would be amazing as well."

"You got that right. I just wish Mew could use everything that every Pokemon can do. Mostly the super important ones. We'd have him turn into Jirachi and fix everything by now!" Pinkie Pie laid on her back, tossing a marshmallow into her mouth afterwards. "By the way...which Jirachi are we gonna find?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"We could find the Jirachi that Ash is good friends with. How lucky would that be?"

"I doubt we'd be that lucky. Although..." Rarity thought about it for a moment. "Ash has proven to be a good luck magnet from start to well...now."

"Right where I want you!" Suddenly, raising her voice was Rainbow Dash as she had decided to fully approach the Yanmega, startling her friends. "Go, Mienfoo!" She had sent out Mienfoo to deal with Yanmega.

"Mienfoo!"

"Yanmega!"

Her friends stopped what they were doing to watch their friend partake in a Pokemon Battle. Holon's Mew, who was halfway through her cupcake, hid behind Pinkie's Mew once Yanmega had been revealed.

"This'll be a good way to get myself back up to speed with some battling. The final gym's my goal and that Equestria. No hard feelings, Yanmega."

"Yan!"

"Okay, Mienfoo! Force Palm!"

"Mien...Foo!" Mienfoo stomped her foot on the ground before approaching the Ogre Darner Pokemon with a glowing paw. As always her great speed had been used, allowing her to become a blur.

"Mega!" In response, Yanmega had used Air Slash, sending massive blades of wind that tore through even the skies. Mienfoo swayed and swerved past them while still holding Force Palm. She then jumped into the air, throwing her paw at full force. "Yan?!"

"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo landed Force Palm, dealing super-effective damage thanks to Delta Yanmega's secondary typing. Yanmega had been launched far whole also hurling through the air.

"Now, follow up with Acrobatics!"

"Foo!" Mienfoo continued her attack, leaping off the ground with an acrobatic jump. She then leapt from bush to bush, approaching the Ogre Darner Pokemon while forming speed lines from her movements.

"Yanmega!" Yanmega had recovered just now. And upon recovering, it had used a move to throw Mienfoo off guard. Flash. Its eyes radiated an enigmatic light before unleashing a bright light that eclipsed a majority of the area. Mienfoo had her eyes met with Flash, causing her temporary blindness.

"M-Mien...!" Mienfoo's Acrobatics were ruined from this as she lost her balance. This gave Yanmega the chance to attack without failing. Air Slash was still the way to go for it.

"Yanmen!" Those same tearing wind blades were shot out at a blinded Mienfoo, who had no idea the blades were coming her way as her paws were over her eyes.

"Mienfoo! Look out!" Rainbow Dash shouted, trying to get her partner to evade. Unfortunately, it was too late. Air Slash struck her. However, while the attacks landed and caused light blue explosions, the unexpected happened. Once the smoke cleared, Mienfoo could still be seen on the same spot. She had just been slightly pushed.

In fact, she barely looked phased by what had happened. Mienfoo's blindness ended as she noticed how barely harmed she was. Naturally, she was confused. "Mien?"

"Hm. Did that Air Slash seem fairly...lacklustre when struck?" Rarity commented.

"Yeah. Usually, Mienfoo would go flying!" Pinkie Pie raised her hoof to project Mienfoo being thrown by Air Slash. "But she's unphased by it!"

"Weird...Uh...Go and use Reversal then!"

"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo continued attacking, either way, lighting her paw up with an orange light. She would then take the damage she took from Air Slash and convert it into power. Yanmega had used Air Slash once more as that was the best move to use in this instance more than anything.

Mienfoo started hitting the slashes away with Reversal, blocking them from making any contact with her. However, some of them managed to get through, hitting the Martial Arts Pokemon. But just like before, Mienfoo barely looked phased. She kept running once one of them hit her, not even slowing down for a second. Mienfoo was stunned to see that she didn't take super-effective damage.

But it made her feel invincible and further motivated. "Mienfoo!"

"Mienfoo powered through that! Amazing! But how come?!" Rainbow Dash, while happy that Mienfoo resisted Air Slash, was wondering why this was happening at all. She thought of nothing better but the Pokedex. "Pokedex, what's up?" She asked the Pokedex, hoping for some answers about Mienfoo that she had never known before.

"Foo!" Mienfoo meanwhile, knocking Yanmega so hard it turned upside, falling on its back. Yanmega, seeing that its attacks were failing, chose to rely on one other option. A strategic retreat as it quickly fluttered away, not wanting to receive any more damage.

"Yan! Yanmega!"

"Mien..."

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash saw that the Pokedex was loading all of a sudden. It was configuring something crucial as Rainbow Dash kept her eye on the dex. Soon, the loading finished as something shocking had come to fruition.

"Mienfoo...Electric-Type?!" Rainbow Dash pulled back, shouting at the top of her lungs. "Since when?!"

"I'm sorry! What?!" Rarity exclaimed as she and Pinkie Pie came over. Their eyes didn't deceive them. Indeed, the Pokedex labelled Mienfoo as an Electric-Type. "Mienfoo is an Electric-Type? Oh, what a change."

"Mhm." nodded Pinkie Pie.

"So that's why Air Slash barely did a thing..." It all made sense to the pegasus finally."But, hold on. Why's this happening?"

"Hm...It could be..." Rarity put her hoof on her lip, drawing one conclusion. "Perhaps it's something in the Holon Region that's doing this."

"You think so?" Rainbow and Pinkie both said.

"What else could it be?" Rarity shrugged."Mienfoo was never an Electric-Type to begin with. "I'm no scientist or a Pokemon Professor, but I can catch on, can't I?"

"Hm. I'll just ask Twilight then. She'll know!" An easy conclusion to confirm things. Rainbow Dash whipped out her Xtransceiver, immediately shooting for Twilight's Trainer Number.

Mienfoo in the meantime, kept checking herself out, poking at her arms, wondering if she would get an electric shock all of a sudden. But that wasn't happening at all. "Mien..."

"Hey, Rainbow Dash. How's your side of the journey going?" Twilight asked after answering the Xtransceiver.

"Good and all that stuff. But hey um...Are your Pokemon feeling kinda different today?" Rainbow Dash questioned, hoping to find out that Twilight and the others were experiencing the same thing.

"Um...No. But Applejack caught herself a Delta Riolu from the Holon Pyramid." Twilight replied as Delta Riolu's head had popped into view He chose to stay out of his Poke Ball, much like Pikachu.

"Rio!"

"Oh, sweet! But, I've got something else to ask. Mienfoo's different from before. She's not a Fighting-Type anymore."

"What do you mean she's not a Fighting-Type?" asked Twilight. Now her interest was truly caught.

"Uh...She's an Electric-Type now. I don't know what happened but Rarity says it might have something to d with the region. Maybe you've got the answer?"

"Electric-Type Mienfoo?" The Princess of Friendship pondered. She took Rarity's theory, looking into it for a moment. Mienfoo becoming an Electric-Type wouldn't be too farfetched in this region. "Oh! We need to see Professor Pine about this!"

"What about your Pokemon then?" Pinkie Pie slid in. "Oh! What about mine?!"

"Sounds like we've got something fun to look forward to," Ash spoke. "But this is gonna make things confusing if our Pokemon are gonna have their types changed..."

"Pikachu..."

"Where are Spike and Goh? Do they know about this?" Twilight thought about the rest of her friends. This revelation and the possibility of their Pokemon suddenly changing types need to be passed on. But right on time, another Xtransceiver Trainer Number joined the call.

A second box came into view as it was from Spike's Xtransceiver. Perfect timing. Spike entered to check up with his friends instead of the topic of type alteration. "Hey. What's going on everyone?" Spike asked.

"Spike. Does something feel different about your Axew?" Twilight shifted her eyes to his box.

"Nope. Did something happen?"

"So it's all new to us. Then in that case...How about we all point our Pokedexes at our Pokemon to see if anything's different?" Twilight suggested as this would e a quick and easy way to check if it wasn't just Mienfoo. Spike wasn't sure what this was all about but he went with it anyway.

Everyone looked at the Pokemon they already had out or had just sent out. Once they stood in front of their partners, the Pokedexes were up and ready. Their Pokedexes all started loading, configuring. This was essentially visible confirmation that something was different. And indeed, once the Pokedexes finished loading, new typings had been revealed for their partners.

Pikachu was now Pure Steel-Type. Espeon had kept in line with all the other Espeon in Holon, being a Psychic-Steel-Type now. Applejack's Sceptile gained the honour of being a Psychic-Type now. Rarity did a double whammy with her Leavanny and Pheromosa. Leavanny gained the Fighting-Type while Pheromosa was now Grass. Essentially, they had both swapped types.

The surprises kept coming with Audino now being a Poison-Type while Hatterene was revealed to be a Normal-Type only now. Finally, Goh's Cinderace showed itself as a Fighting-Type, however, the only one unchanged was Axew. His typing as an Equestrian Variant kept him as a Dragon-Psychic-Type.

"It's all different?!" Ash gasped. "Awesome!"

"Not awesome!" Twilight thought otherwise. "This might complicate things in the future!" Twilight could see that this alteration of Pokemon Types created unexpected complications. Especially for those who were battle-heavy, despite the fact that Ash was intrigued by this. "That might mean relearning so much..."

"Relearning matchups? Ah...!" Rainbow Dash groaned. "I don't know if I wanna do all of that."

"Hey, Spike. How come your Axew hasn't changed?" Goh asked. "Still the same type."

"Must be all that Rift Magic."

"How about we calm down in this?" Heike raised his finger. "Just like what you said, Twilight. Professor Pine might know something. So she might know what to do with this. Just saying."

"I'm sorry who are you?" Rarity questioned, seeing and hearing Heike for the first time.

"Oh, right, right." Twilight calmed down. "Uh...I'll just...head back to the Holon Research Tower. No need to worry, as we say."

"Sure thing. But ya know...we could take this time to test things out. Even if it's permanent or not, I wanna try battling with my Pokemon and their new types here." Ash had something else in mind, looking at the fun side of things.

"That's the first thing on your mind..." Twilight squinted, slightly, but was not fully surprised by Ash's next decision in this instance.

"Nothing else on my mind. But hey, if it gets bad, we've always got Rift Magic to count on, don't we?" Ash brought up another positive solution. Rift Magic was a possible answer and with how Cold Colt's potential was rising and the cauldron of Rift Magic existing, it was safe to say that their Pokemon might not be stuck like this forever.

"Right. But just in case..." Twilight then left the scene, teleporting away from her current location to quickly meet with Professor Pine. In the meantime, Ash and the others would meet with Rainbow Dash's group in the Holon Marsh, just to test out their Pokemon and their altered typings.

Holon Research Tower. Afternoon.

"Professor Pine!" Appearing out of thin air via teleportation and screaming was Twilight Sparkle. Her appearance and voice had started Professor Pine, causing her to spill her drink.

"Gah!" Pine fell over from her seat as Twilight put her hoof on her mouth, realizing the mistake she made.

"S-Sorry." She squeed innocently.

"Oh, Twilight..." Pine stood up, removing her coat to clean off the drink stain. "It's fine. What happened? It sounds important."

"It kind of is. Well, depending on how you look at it. Um...So you see...Me and my friends' Pokemon kinda changed types. Out of nowhere and with no warning too. Eve here has the same typing as all the Espen in Holon." She held the Sun Pokemon up to Professor Pine. "Is it bad? Is it permanent? W-What does this mean?" She threw rapid-fire questions, worried about this.

"Changed types?" Pinkie scratched her hair before snapping her fingers. "Ah! I get what you mean! Don't worry, Twilight Sparkle. It's not permanent."

"It's not? Oh, thank Celestia..." Twilight felt at peace with this revelation as she sat down. Espeon also felt some sort of relief even though it didn't have a massive impact on her or any of the Pokemon.

"But it wouldn't be the first time this concern has come up. Holon's still new to all the people that have come here and left. Especially to those who live here. Pokemon changing their types isn't uncommon, but changing them after being in this region for not that long throws them off guard."

"Then, why does it happen? And how is it permanent with some Pokemon instead of me and my friends' Pokemon?"

"Well, Pokemon that are born in the Holon Region are exposed to the magnetic storms and the energy that flows through the atmosphere and air much longer. Their typings last longer and we believe they might be permanent. But that's still being looked into since the region is young. And we aren't getting any younger are we?"

"So if that's the case...then Timia's Pokemon were born here?"

"Only a few of them. Some of her Pokemon come from other regions. Timia has to sometimes visit the Holon Region just to change up their types again. I'd suspect she'll be back in two days. But for you and your friends, you're new to this region so this chance won't last. It'll only go away once you end up leaving Holon."

"Okay. Had me worried there. So, is that why you have these machines? I mean, you're also planning a Pokemon League here in Holon one day with Heike being the first Gym Leader and everything..."

"Spot-on, my little pony!" Pine winked. "If we can master those magnetic storms, everything will be smooth sailing. Speaking of which...you have some unfinished business left with these machines. Plus, do you have anything to share?"

"Oh, do I?!" Twilight then shifted emotions, becoming excited. "I have a lot to tell you, Professor Pine!" She then rushed over to the machine while preparing to lay out all that she's gotten from her small venture through some of the biomes in the Holon Region.

Holon Marsh.

Meanwhile, at the Holon Marsh, the groups had met with each other at the same spot. The Mew of Holon chose to hide from the others as she still wasn't used to exposing herself in front of many. She hid behind some bushes with Pinkie Pie's Mew floating over to be there for her.

Upon arriving there, most gave their greetings to Heike. But aside from that, testing out their Pokemon with these alternate typings was the biggest attractor here. The ones willing to test it out the most were Ash, Rainbow Dash, Spike and Goh respectively.

"Let's have a Double Battle!" And a Double Battle would be the best way to do it as Ash decided. It would be Ash and Rainbow Dash teaming up against Spike and Goh. Acting as a referee for this battle would be Rarity.

"You know, when we reach Settlement Oscar, I'm gonna take a break there for a few days," said Heike. "Sorry I couldn't journey with you guys any longer."

"Ah, don't sweat it, partner. We were planning to head home soon ourselves." Applejack replied. "But, there's always next time. You know where Ponyville is, don't ya?"

"Don't I? That and Canterlot are popular places to us humans. I still need Gym Leader pointers if I'm gonna be one. Even if I'm the first one. Isn't that right, Treecko?"

"Treecko."

"You're welcome at Ponyville any time. Especially at Sweet Apple Acres. How's about stopping by next week?" The farm pony suggested.

"Works for me. You'll see me, Treecko and my massive backpack over the horizon in no time. How can you miss this?" He showed off the backpack and its comically large size. Applejack swore that it was getting bigger the more she looked at it.

"Let's make it a fun one, darlings. Any number is fine. Now...send out your Pokemon!" Rarity ordered.

"I wanna see what's up with Gengar now!" Ash chose to send out his Gengar.

"Then I'll go with Luxray!" And Rainbow Dash went with Luxray.

"Gengar!"

"Luxray!"

Immediately after their emergence, the Pokedexes were used. Gengar had indeed been affected by the magnetic storms despite being inside his Poke Ball this entire time. Those waves could certainly dig deep. Gengar was now a Fire-Type as Luxray was shown to be a Normal-Type now.

"Go, Scizor!" Goh chose to send out his Scizor!"

"It's Salamence for me!" And Spike sent out Salamence, who he had already seen gain an alternate type, but went with him either way.

"Scizor!"

"Salamence!"

The Pokedexes scanned them promptly. Salamence still had that Water-Type on him now. But Scizor was now a Dark-Type. It still had the vulnerability of Fighting while Salamence's usual resistances to the four elements had been robbed. Electric and Grass were now his worst enemy. But Gengar could no longer exploit Salamence's weakness to Ice with Ice Punch and his Psychic certainly wouldn't touch Scizor.

"This'll make things interesting." Ash was most excited at how the battle will play out with altered typings. With resistances gone and new weaknesses formed, it could go either way. And knowing what moves will and won't work just made him all the more thrilled.

"Battle Start!"

"We'll go first! Gengar, Night Shade!"

"Gengar!" Gengar's eyes flashed as he didn't have many options against Scizor right now. A red and black ray came zooming out at the now confirmed Dark-Type Scizor.

"Luxray, Discharge!"

"Lux...Ray!" Luxray meanwhile, unleashed a flare of electricity from his body by roaring, causing it to fly everywhere.

"Salamence! Flamethrower!"

"Scizor, Air Slash!"

"Sala...Mence!" Salamence threw his head back before building up flames within him. He then exhaled a ferocious flame while Scizor assisted him by throwing white blades that tore through the air.

Gengar's black and red rays met with Scizor's blades as they seemed like they would cancel each other out. However, thanks to Luxray's Discharge, it helped Night Shade break through. Only for Flamethrower to help block out the rest. They proved equal.

"Let's get close! Ice Punch!"

"Wild Charge!"

"Gengar!" Gengar and Lucario decided to get up close and personal with their opponents. A fist of ice and an aura of electricity.

"Slash, Scizor!"

"Salamence, Dragon Tail!"

"Scizor!" Their opponents would do the same. Scizor and Salamence would meet them in close-quarters combat. Scizor's pincers lit up as it had clashed them with Gengar's hands. "Zor!"

"Sala!" Salamence roared, turning around and using his tail as a weapon with draconic energy surrounding it. He then clashed it with Luxray, who rammed right into it. Salamence then flailed his tail while Luxray kept running in.

"Rio! Rio!" Delta Riolu was enjoying himself, seeing this battle occur. It got him excited as he pulled on Applejack's mane, causing her to twitch.

"O-Ow! Okay, sugarcube! You're excited, I get it! But that's my mane you're pulling!" Applejack cried out

"Mew..." Holon's Mew, who was peeking through the bushes while Pinkie's Mew hovered next to her, nervously peeked at this battle, feeling slightly started with the loud noises going through.

And as this battle was getting started, that was when the skies were starting to gain a familiar yet enigmatic appearance. Mainly from Holon's magnetic storms. They rumbled through the skies, alerting some of the group to look up. The sound they made were similar to thunder, but not quite as loud.

And as Ash, Rainbow Dash, Goh and Spike were about to amp things up, bolts of magnetic lightning shot out from the cloudy sky. While Luxray was about to crash into Salamence's tail once more and Gengar would clash his Ice Punch with Scizor again, the four Pokemon had been hit by these bolts.

"Ah!" Ash and the other three gasped upon seeing their Pokemon struck. Thankfully, they had the prior knowledge of magnetic storms in this region being harmless, but it still caught them off guard. And once the bolts faded after their collision, something new had occurred.

Luxray's Wild Charge managed to power through Salamence's Dragon Tail, however, when he ended up hitting the Dragon Pokemon, nothing happened. Salamence was unphased. He wasn't even pushed back by the impact. But Luxray still received the recoil damage.

"L-Lux...?!" Luxray groaned.

"Wait! It didn't do a thing?!" A stunned Rainbow Dash yelled. Gengar and Scizor backed up as Salamence looked at himself, feeling slightly different from before. The electric from Wild Charge didn't tickle him which even made Spike wonder.

"Weird..." Spike uttered before taking out the Pokedex to make sure that Salamence's new typing was correct. And upon doing so, he found out that it had been changed once more. "Wait! He's Ground now?!"

"Ground?!" Goh turned to the Pokedex. "Oh, those storms changed his type when they hit...Then they changed Scizor and everyone else's types too."

Indeed, the types were now randomized once more. If anything, this made Ash even more excited than before. Rainbow Dash was starting to feel it. Heike had his Pokedex out to read out the typings. "Looks like Gengar's now a Rock-Type. Scizor's gone Fairy and Luxray's all Fire."

"That's gonna make things more unpredictable if they keep coming! Gengar, Shadow Ball!"

"If it makes things this fun then sure! We can use Ice on Salamence for real this time! Luxray, Ice Fang!"

"I don't think so! Salamence, Hyper Beam!"

"Just my luck for Gengar to become Rock." Goh knew that some of Scizor's moves would do much against a Rock-Type due to the resistances. Except, there was one. "But there's this! Metal Claw!"

"Salamence!" Salamence huffed and puffed, releasing a massive blast of hyper energy from his mouth whilst Scizor flew beside it. The clouds still rumbled with those magnetic storms as Gengar throw two blobs of shadows at Scizor. Luxray tried evading Hyper Beam, only to be blown back by the explosion it made once it hit the ground.

Scizor knocked away one of the blobs, only for the second one to connect, pushing it away. Salamence needed to recharge after Hyper Beam but he landed a good hit in on Luxray. During the recharge, those storms came once more.

They rumbled, attracting themselves to nearby Pokemon. Mainly the four that were battling. They had been hit by the bolts once more, having their typings altered. Heike made sure to keep his Pokedex out for this.

With their typing changed once again, this battle was still possible to go either way. They believed it was just the cause of Holon's weather acting up. But it was beyond that.

Over at the Holon Research Tower, Twilight Sparkle was the one behind it. After being allowed to continue with the machine, experimenting on it, she managed to gain control of the magnetic storms despite them being erratic. She was unaware of the shifts in typings she was making for her friends. Twilight was just having too good of a time to stop while Professor Pine received notes of what Twilight had gathered so far.

"Psychic!"

"Gen...Gar!" Gengar put his hand out, holding it out at Scizor. Scizor was now a Fighting-Type, which was a bad typing to be at the moment. Gengar had lifted Scizor into the air before unleashing an invisible blast of Psychic energy.

"S-Scizor!" Scizor cried out before tumbling on the ground. That powerful Psychic, coupled with the damage from Shadow Ball earlier was enough to seal the deal. Scizor had fainted.

"Scizor is unable to battle! Gengar wins!"

"Salamence, Zen Headbutt!"

"Sala...Mence!" It wasn't any better for Luxray. He had become a Poison-Type from the storms, causing Zen Headbutt to deal some heavy damage. Salamence's head had smashed onto Luxray, rocketing him like a slingshot. Much like Scizor, Luxray fell down, fainting from the impact. The recoils from Wild Charge didn't help along with the explosion of Hyper Beam.

"Luxray is unable to battle! Salamence wins!"

"This is getting exciting..." Rainbow Dash giggled, loving how unpredictable it was. Win or lose, the unpredictably helped with it greatly.

"Sucks I'm cold-blooded. Cause I'd love to feel hot-blooded right now from all of this." Spike chuckled. Thanks to Twilight's actions, the storms had hit the Pokemon once more.

"So they're drawn to the nearest Pokemon, are they?" Starlight noticed how they mainly went for the closest Pokemon. And considering everyone was sitting back, they were exempt.

"Can't wait to see what's next. Return, for now, Gengar!" Ash recalled Gengar, wanting to try someone else. "Pikachu! Get that Steel-Typing in before it changes!" Ash went for his tried and true partner, Pikachu.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu hopped off of Ash's shoulder, raring to go.

"You're up, Whirlipede!" Rainbow Dash also went for her first-ever Pokemon.

"Whirlipede!"

Heike's Pokedex revealed Whirlipede to be a Dragon-Type now of all things. The magnetic storms might as well be just as unpredictable as Rift Energy. Those storms were brewing once more as Goh had went with Cinderace. "Go, Cinderace!"

"Cinderace!"

"Quick Attack!"

"Whirlipede, Steamroller!"

"Salamence, Flamethrower!"

"Cinderace, Pyro Ball!"

"Pika! Pika-Pika-Pika!" Pikachu leapt off the ground, moving at lightning speeds and approaching Salamence this time as Ash switched targets. Cinderace and Salamence both prepared their own respective flames whilst Whirlipede rolled alongside Pikachu.

The magnetic storms boomed once more, this time, hitting the Pokemon while in the middle of pulling their attacks off. And with their typings changed, in came a reversal. Pikachu had become a Bug-Type whilst zigzagging to the side to avoid Flamethrower. Salamence had been altered to become a Ghost-Type respectively.

While Flamethrower missed, Pikachu phased right through Salamence thanks to this immunity. "Pika?!" He gasped before turning around. Whirlipede lost his Dragon-Typing, but still managed to power through Pyro Balls thanks to gaining the Ground-Typing. He crashed right into Cinderace who had just become a Poison-Type.

"Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...Chuu...!" Pikachu unleashed all those volts in his body right after he phased through his target. Salamence received a smite from Thunderbolt, taking 100,000 volts.

Salamence fell over, but was still up and kicking. This battle was only getting heated up with these unpredictable types coming through. And they were loving it. Even when the Pokemon were taking damage, something about not knowing what could come next just made them eager to continue.

"Awesome, Pikachu! Let's keep going, everyone!"

Ash, Rainbow Dash, Spike and Goh laughed, continuing to give commands to their partners, battling the way through. And with how they had the intention of using all of their Pokemon, it was safe to say that this battle would be long.

Holon's Mew smiled, finding some enjoyment out of this. And yet, she still stayed in secrecy. Holon's Mew even wondered what would be next when they would leave soon.

"Let us get a go in, ya hear?!" Applejack felt encouraged to do the same with her Pokemon. So did Rarity. It all had them interested. This battle of changing types would be a long one. And they were all for it.

Settlement Oscar. Late Afternoon.

Twilight finished her messing around at the tower with all of those storms. The battle between Ash and his friends had no proper conclusion. It practically went on forever before they decided to call it off. They finally reached Settlement Oscar as it was not too far from the Marsh at all.

"Oh...Is that so?" Twilight scratched her mane, finding out what her actions had done. Well, glad I made you all enjoy something thrilling. That machine was a blast. You have no idea how powerful I felt doing that?"

"Mmm. I wanna try that Type-Changing battle again when we come back here. This time, we should bring more of our friends and see how it goes. Sounds like a great past-time, doesn't it?" Ash said.

"Sure does!" Pinkie Pie chuckled. "I got to see all my Slurpuff change so much! Kinda lost track of time with all of that."

"You're one interesting crowd. Shame this is where we're gonna depart for now," said Heike as Settlement Oscar was his temporary stopping place for a few days. "But I can't wait for you to head back. And for me to come over to your world."

"You're welcome any time." Applejack nudged him. "You and Treecko."

"Sceptile!"

"Wish I had one of those Xtransceiver things. One of the stuff my backpack doesn't have...Gotta get me one of those. Anyway, see ya around next week. When we show up, I'll be better than ever." Heike walked off, waving whilst facing back.

"Can't wait!" Applejack waved farewell along with everyone that he's gotten close to so far. But even the others who he had just met bid their farewells either way. "See ya!"

"Scep!"

"Nice visit here. But...I'm ready to head back." Pinkie stretched her hooves before facing her Mew. She then navigated her eyes searching for Holon's Mew. The Mew of Holon kept herself in secrecy, not coming close to Settlement Oscar and instead of staying within the trees. "Mew."

"M-Mew..." She mumbled, gripping the leaves.

"You don't wanna leave this place, do you? You've got a nice home underground too." said the Party Pony. Holon's Mew nodded in confirmation of that. But she still wanted to see more of the world. "No need to worry. Just stay with us for a bit and we'll bring you back here once you're comfortable enough."

"Mew...?"

"Seriously!" Pinkie Pie winked. "You've got a fellow Mew and all of us to help you with that."

"Wait a sec...another one?! W-Where?!" Goh quickly shot his eyes to the tree that Mew was hiding in. He couldn't see her as she cloaked herself by turning into a Kecleon. Pinkie's Mew flew up to her to make her feel safe. Holon's Mew did feel safety around her fellow New Species Pokemon.

She would give it a shot. It would be a big step away from an entire region. First her underground cove home and now the Holon Region. Truly a massive leap as Pinkie's Mew helped her out. Their trip to the Holon Region ended for now.

Professor Pine and the scientists over at the tower received some gathered info from Twilight. And they would certainly gain more upon their next visit. This region was young as there was still more to explore. And the newer the better. For now, it was time to head home as the journey continues.

Chapter 704 End.
