Chapter 18: The Dragon Rulers Part 2
The remaining five now sit in a Slifer dorm all alone, some were devasted by the current events happening to them. Gallus was the only one even attempting to get out by trying to ram the door down. He keeps ramming and ramming and ramming, but the door doesn't budge.
"Still locked huh?" Says Smolder sarcastically.
"We have to at least have to try and get out! Twilight trusted us with protecting the vault, and now anyone can get inside!" said Gallus.
"Even if we were to get out, we still wouldn't be able to protect it, all six of us need to be present, and Sandbar turned his back on us." Says Ocellus on the verge of tears.
"Sandbar not turn his back! Sandbar is our friend!" Yona Stated firmly.
"Hello, Earth to yak! did you not just see what happened!?" Replied Smolder.
"M-maybe he was just trying to get free so he could find a way to free the rest of us and see what is going on?" Says Silverstream unsure of herself. Just then, the window opens and Sandbar himself pokes his head through.
"I don't know, That sounds to smart for what a pony would do." Says Sandbar climbing into the room.
"SANDBAR!!!" Yona yells while tackling him while the others also join in a huge hug, Happy to see that their friend wouldn't abandon them.
"Guys....I..Need...Air!" Sandbar chokes out.
Eventually they all let him go and takes a few deep breathes.
"I knew all along you were still our friend." Said Smolder.
"Heh...Thanks you guys. Look, we need to get out of here and fast, I saw Cozy heading for the vault with Neighsay's medallion." Said Sandbar.
"You think she is going to unlock it?" Asked Ocellus.
"Either that or she is going to guard it" Said Sandbar.
"Then why bother trying to fight Neighsay and his goonies? They have the same intention as us, they just want the deck to be safe." Said Gallus.
"Because we are the only ones who can actually keep it safe, and Neighsay has to be right. The deck sense someone with dark intentions of freeing the deck, it has to be the one sucking away all the magic to power itself up so whoever has a desire to use it can unleash destruction." Says Ocellus.
"I don't know how well we will be able to protect the vault. with all the magic being zapped away, our duel spirits can't manifest themselves, we need to be around a large surge of magic for that." Says Silverstream
"If the deck is the one sucking up all that magic, then there has to be a large amount of magic surrounding it, that is where we'll protect it!" Says Smolder.
"Then Yona and friends must make it to the vault now!" Shouts Yona.
They all look a each other, putting on their game faces on. They all climb out of the window and start sprinting towards the school. As they approach the front entrance, they see both Roulette and Brisk guarding the entrance.
"Brisk, Roulette! get out of the way!" Yells Gallus.
"Don't you dare speak that way to us Slifer Slacker!" Says Brisk.
"We are not moving an inch! Neighsay gave us orders to stand guard in case you got out." Says Roulette.
"Neighsay is wrong! We're not the ones who want to steal the deck! we are trying to protect it!" Yells Smolder.
"Roulette please! you're our friend!" Begged Ocellus.
"I thought I was, but I heard you! You had a "job" to do involving the deck, I know you want to steal it. You manipulated me into trusting you, No more." Replied Roulette.
"It's Neighsay who is manipulating you! We are the protectors of the vault! Blessed by the Tree of Harmony itself!" Silverstream yelled.
"HAHAHAHAHA! Why would the tree entrust non-pony creatures with the elements!? That's crazy!" Said Brisk.
"The only way you are getting anywhere near the vault is through us!" Says Roulette holding up her duel disk.
"A tag duel!? Really? That's the only way?" Said Smolder unimpressed.
"Of course, especially after this!" Said Brisk activating his duel disk. Roulette activates hers as well, they both glow an ominous purple glow, and then a glowing circle forms on the ground, surrounding the students.
"Shadow Game Magic!" Yells Sandbar.
"How did you activate a Shadow Game!?" yells Gallus.
"Neighsay used his medallion to allow us to activate a Shadow Game with ease, now you have to duel!" Says Roulette.
"Which two of you is gonna face us!?" asked Brisk. The six huddle up to see who would be best to duel.
"It should be Me and Sandbar, We are both Obelisks" Said Smolder.
"You can't duel them Smolder, You have dragons in your deck, Brisk's Buster Blader will tear you apart."
"I've beaten him once! I can do it again!" Says Smolder.
"We can't take any chances on this though Smolder." Says Sandbar.
"Me and Yona have this." Said Gallus.
"You and Yona!?" Silverstream says in bewilderment.
"You're not saying that because you want a rematch are you?" Asked Ocellus.
"No, I'm being serious, I just have a gut feeling me and Yona can win this time, if she wants to be partners again." Says Gallus looking over at Yona. Yona smiles and nods.
"Yona accepts." Says Yona, Gallus smiles at her and the group breaks their hudle.
Both Yona and Gallus step up to Brisk and Roulette, and activate their duel disks. This causes Brisk to burst into laughter.
"You've got to be kidding!? This again!? Fine, if you want to lose again!" Says Brisk.
"We aren't going to lose again Brisk, not this time!" Says Gallus.
"We beat you both once, and we'll do it again!" Says Roulette.
"Yona ready! Yona and Gallus will win and hopefully open mean ponies eyes!" Says Yona. They all take their place and hold up their duel disks.
"DUEL!"
[Gallus and Yona vs. Brisk Bronco and Roulette]
[Silfer 8000/ Obelisk 8000]
"Just like last time, I will start us off, Draw!" Says Roulette. " Looky here, I have the card 7 in my hoof, I now activate it, and you know what happens when I get three on the field. Now, I place one monster and one card face down and end."
"My turn, I draw!" Yells Gallus "I summon Blackwing - Steam the Cloak! {800atk. 1200def. Lv 3 Tuner}. Now since I control a blackwing Monster, I can special summon Blackwing - Harmattan the Dust from my claw! {800atk. 800def. Lv 2}. I now Tune for 5, Synchro summoning Blackwing - Gram the Shining Star! {2200atk. 1500def. Lv 5}." Gram emerges on the field and strikes a battle pose.
"Yes! Gallus got his ace out first turn!" Yells Sandbar.
"Gallus, It's great to see you again, I could not manifest myself for some reason." Says Gram.
"I know, we are in some trouble, we need you and everyone else to stop the Dragon Rulers from returning." Replies Gallus. Gram nods and turns his focus back on his opponents.
"Did your monster just talk???" asked Brisk.
"The monsters are real in a Shadow Game Brisk! That's what Neighsay said, now focus back on the duel!" Yells Roulette
"Now since steam the cloak was sent to the grave, I can summon a blackwing token to the field {100atk. 100def. Lv 1} I can then tribute that token to special summon Steam the Cloak back from the grave! Gram, Attack her face down!" Yells Gallus. Gram lets out a battle cry and takes to the sky, he dive bombs the card and stabs it with his sword. the card flips to show a jar with a disturbing smile.
"Yona remember that card!" Yells Yona.
"Heh, You flipped summon my Dice Jar." Said Roulette. "We each roll a die, whoever rolls the highest inflicts damage to their opponent times 500, but if it's a 6, that's 6000 points of damage! Go Die Roll!" Virtual dice are rolled, for Gallus, he rolls a two.
[Roulette 3 cards/ Gallus 4]
"Come on!" Gallus Yells. Looking ay Roulette's roll, she rolled a five.
"What a fantastic roll, Fortune smiles upon me! now you take 2500 points of damage!" Says Roulette, both Yona and Gallus are shocked as they lose Life points.
"I am sorry Gallus." Said Gram.
"Don't apologize Gram, I told you to attack, Now Steam, Attack them directly!" A puff of steam clouds Gallus monster, Roulette and brisk look all around them to look for him, when he teleports behind both of them and stabs them in the back with a dagger, causing them to to let out a pained scream.

"Man...That hurt!" Says Brisk "This IS real!"
"I've never felt anything like that!" Exclaims Roulette.
"This is only a taste of what's to come if you do not let us pass!" Shouts Gallus.
"grr... Shut it Slacker, you are not fooling me, I draw!" Says Brisk "I summon the Obnoxious Celtic Guard! {1400atk. 1200def. Lv 4} I will also activate the spell Emblem of the Dragon Destroyer to add Buster Blader, The Destruction Swordmaster to my hoof, next I place 2 cards face down. Now my Celtic Guard will turn your Steam the Cloak into Dead the cloak, attack!" Brisks Celtic guard lifts his sword and brings down on steam the cloak, destroying it. "I end my turn Slackers."
"Yona Turn, Draw!" Says Yona " Yona activate the spell Gladiator Beast's Respite! This allow Yona to shuffle 2 Gladiator Beasts cards into Yona deck and then Draw 3 cards. Yona then set one Monster and One card face down. Gram, Attack Celtic Guard!" Gram lifts his sword and swings it hard at the Celtic Guard, but somehow, the Celtic Guard lifts his sword, and blocks the attack. "Huh!? Why isn't Monster destroyed!?" Asks Yona.
"My Celtic Guard has an effect, it cannot be destroyed by monsters with 1900 or more attack points!" Yells Brisk.
"Wow... that effect is obnoxious." Says Smolder.
"Gah...Yona thought she had that." Says Yona sadly.
"Don't worry about it Yona, they still lose life points equal to the difference of the attack. We are still in this!" Says Gallus.

[Brisk 3 cards, Yona 4 cards]
"My turn, Draw!" Says Roulette. " I drew another 7 card, That makes 2 on the field now. I summon Snipe Hunter! {1500atk. 600def. Lv 4} I now activate his effect, I roll a die, and if the outcome is anything other than 1 or 6, I destroy one card you control, Go Die Roll!" The die rolls, it fidgets for a second before landing on 2. "Hm, got it, Say bye bye to your Gram!" Snipe hunter chuckles as it aims it's blaster at Gram and then fires, Gram lets out a pained scream before being destroyed.
"No! Gram!" Yells Gallus.
"Now time for your face down! Snipe Hunter attack!" Now Snipe Hunter aims his blaster at the face down and fires, The card flips face up and blocks the attack.
"You attacked Yona's Gladiator Beast Attorix! She has 2000 defense points" Says Yona.
"Grr! Fine, You lucked out! I end!" Says Roulette.
"Since Attorix was involved in a battle, I can send her to my deck to special summon one Gladiator Beast from Yona deck, Yona Special Summons Gladiator Beast Spartacus! {2200atk. 1600def. Lv 5}. Yona now activate his effect, when Spartacus is special summoned, Yona add one Gladiator Beast equip card to Yona hoof, Yona add Gladiator Beast's Battle Gladius!"
[Roulette 2 cards/ Yona 5 cards]
"My turn, I draw." Says Gallus "I set one card face down. Spartacus will now attack Snipe Hunter!" Spartacus roars loudly before lifting up his huge axe and brings it down hard on top of Snipe Hunter, cutting him in half and destroying him. "I end my turn!"
"Draw!" Yells Brisks and smirks "Oh how painful this must be, I drew a very lucky card, Cost Down! I target one card in my hoof and it's level is treated as if it's two levels lower. I target my Buster Blader, making him a level 5 while in my hoof. Meaning I only need one tribute for him, I sacrifice my Celtic Guard to summon Buster Blader, The Destruction Swordmaster! {2600atk. 2300def. Lv 7}. He has his eyes set on your Spartacus, and you know what happens when he destroys a monster right? Hehehehehe! Buster Blader, Annihilate!"
"Gallus!" Yells Yona.
"Right! I activate my face down, Negate Attack!" Yells Gallus "This stops your attack and ends the battle phase!"
"You freaking slacker, what a lame card! GRRR, fine, I end."
[Gallus 3 cards/ Brisk 3 cards]
"Yona turn, Yona draws!" Says Yona "Yona gonna turn this duel around right now! Yona Summons Gladiator Beast Bestiari, {1500atk. 800def. Lv 4}. Yona now Contact fusion both Spartacus and Bestiari to summon Gladiator Beast Gaiodiaz! {2600atk. 1500def. Lv 7}" The monster emerges and hold his giant axe high, letting out a ferocious battle cry.
"Master Yona, I missed you. Me could not show self to you!" Says Gaiodiaz.
"Yona glad to see you too Gaio!" Says Yona with a smile. "But Yona not done yet, Friend Gallus missing his monster, so Yona activate her face down, Call of the Haunted, to special Summon Gram The Shinning Star back from the Grave!" As her face down flips, Gram is resummoned to the field and stands next to Gaiodiaz.
"Gram!...Thanks Yona!" Gallus said smiling at Yona.
"So you got your ace cards on the field, they are still no match for my Ace, Gaiodiaz and Buster Blader are at the same attack, they will both be destroyed!" Yells Brisk.
"Yona know, but does mean pony remember what card Yona added to her hoof with the effect of Gladiator Beast Spartacus? It was Gladiator Beast's Battle Gladius, When equipped to a Gladiator beast, It's attack increases by 300, I equip this to Gaiodiaz to give him a total of 2900 attack! He will now attack Buster Blader!
[Yona 4 cards]
Gaiodiaz tosses his axe aside, slowly, a new sword manifests in his hand, it was the Gladius and he holds it high, he then charges towards buster blade.
"Not so fast Yona! activate the quick Play spell Roulette Spider!" Yells Roulette.
"That again!?" Yells Gallus as the spider latches onto Gaiodiaz.
"Insect! Release me!" Yells Gaiodiaz.
"Oh yeah!" Say Roulette. "Go Die Roll!" The die is rolled, it lands and flips over a few times, Gallus and Yona's heat beat quickly, terrified of what the die would land on. It slowly stops on 1. "NOOOOOO!!!! We lose half our lifepoints!!!!" Yells Roulette in complete distress. The Spider lets go of Diaz and then darts towards Roulette and Brisk, It jumps in the air and explodes, causing both Brisk and Roulette to be knocked against the door of the school.
"R-Roulette! You Idiot!" Yells Brisk.
[Slifer 4900/ Obelisk 3200]
"Since Gaiodiaz's attack technically wasn't negated, He still destroys your monster!" Gaiodiaz continues to attack Buster Blader, their swords clash as Buster Blader tries to defend himself, but his huge blade is slow compared to Diaz'z sword, who then thrusts it into his chest. Buster Blader let's out a pained groan."
"GRRRRRAHHHH!.....B...B-Brisk!" Buster Blader yells in pain before being destroyed."
"Buster Blader!?...." Brisk is left in awe, hearing his monster call his name. "He... he spoke to me."
"Gaiodiaz's special effect activates, You lose Lifepoits equal to the destroyed Monster's defense, meaning you lose 2300 lifpoints!" Both Roulette and Brisk are shocked, dropping their lifepoints down to just 600 lifepoints. "Gallus, End it!" Gallus Nods and looks at Gram.
"We still have one last monster to attack! Go Gram, Finish them off!" Gallus Yells.
"With pleasure!" Says Gram as he spreads his wings and darts towards Brisk and Roulette, the both try to shield themselves but they are still attacked, losing the duel.
[Yona and Gallus vs. Roulette and Brisk Bronco: Winner Yona and Gallus]
Both Roulette and Brisk collapse to the ground as the shadows dissipate. Brisk with his last strength looks up at Yona and Gallus, He tries to say something but passes out before he could. Roulette lays on the ground and breathes heavily before slowly drifting into unconsciousness.
"You guys did it!" Yells Ocellus as Yona and Gallus Hoof/Claw bump.
"Heh, yeah we did." Says Gallus.
"Gallus, Yona Sorry for what she said Yesterday." Says Yona.
"I am too." Gallus responds.
"It's great you two made up, but we still have a job to do." Said Smolder.
"Oh, yeah, right." Said Gallus.
"Wait guys, what about them?" Silverstream said pointing to Brisk and Roulette.
"What about them?" Said Smolder.
"We can't just leave them here." Said Ocellus.
"Why not? Both are mean ponies and tried to stop Yona and Yona friends from saving the world." Said Yona.
"We still can't leave them here, they're not bad ponies." Said Sandbar going over to them. "Help me carry them." Despite how many of them feel, they eventually go over to them and they put both of them on Yona's back.
"Alright guys, Let's go in there and confront Neighsay. We have to try and convince him we are trying to protect the deck before something bad happens." Says Smolder. They all nod and charge into the school to look for Neighsay.
