//------------------------------// // Therapeutic Bliss // Story: Therapeutic Bliss // by CAPTAIN YOSHI HD //------------------------------// Autumn Blaze grunted as she landed face-first on the dirt path after tripping over a small root sticking out of the ground. She picked her head and shook off the dirt that remained in her fur. With a groan, she shakily stood up on all four hooves, so she use one of her front hooves to rub her face, hoping to free it from the pain. She wanted to get angry and flare up her horn and eyes, but she was trying her hardest to contain her anger. She's kind of been having a bad day. It started off with her being clumsy, though she wasn't often clumsy. As she was getting out of bed, she slipped on one of her things that weren't supposed to be on floor, at least that's what she always knew. Then, she went to reaching for things and knocking some of her other special belongings down while not seeing them. And, she bumped her shoulder into the doorframe when she was walking out of her house. With that happening, it makes her want to flip out. But, still, her angers needs to be contained. She decided that she would take a walk to help cool her off. She was sure that she'd be careful, but she thought wrong. She already got her horn caught in a tree branch, a group of birds flew in her face while fleeing from a bush, and she got startled when her hooves sank in a big patch of very soft mud when she stopped in her tracks. She was about to lose her mind when those events happened. She heard a snap of a twig on her right. Then, she heard a voice. "Righteous." The voice was a low female voice, with a hint of hipster to the tone. The kirin went to investigate. She approached two large bushes that were pressed together. She pushed them apart to see what's on the other side. It was a green earth pony mare. She had a red mane and tail bunched in thick bundles of braids, as well as with a bandana with white flowers on it. She had a tree with the top in the shape of a heart as a cutie mark. The green pony was watching the hummingbirds fly above her. "Such a sight for sore eyes.", she commented. Autumn Blaze cautiously walked through the bushes, hoping to not alarm the strange pony. Despite the sound of leaves rustling, the mare seemed really distracted by the trio of flying insects. She walked slowly toward her and tapped her on the shoulder. The green mare turned to the kirin. "Uh, is there something I can do for you?", she asked Autumn Blaze. "Oh no, it's nothing.", Autumn said. "I heard your voice as I was walking alone. My name's Autumn Blaze, by the way." The green earth pony smiled. "Nice to meet you, I'm Tree Hugger.", she said. "I'm totally digging your vibe." Autumn's eyes widened in surprise, then her lips curled into a smile. "Why, thank you.", she said with a chuckle. "I've never seen a creature like you before.", Tree Hugger said, glancing at the features of Autumn Blaze. "Could you, by any chance, tell me what you are?" "A kirin... and also a nirik when I'm angry.", Autumn explained. "In which I'm tired of feeling right now." "Oh, it seems that your aura seems agitated for some reason.", Tree Hugger pointed out. Autumn Blaze sighed as her ears flattened. "I guess... I guess I'm just having a cruddy day.", she confessed. "I kept, slipping into things, knocking over things, and bumping into things. And it's making me want to blow up in a fit of rage. I've been trying to contain my anger when the day began." Tree Hugger put a hoof to her chest with sympathy. "Oh man, what you're going through seems to be bumming me out.", she said. "Do you think it's cool if I help with it? I'm a member of the Equestrian Society for the Preservation of Rare Creatures. And you, you're a very unique creature, the horn and everything." Autumn Blaze blushed. "Why, nopony's ever said that to me before.", she giggled. "So, sure, that would fantastic if you would help me with my temper." Tree Hugger tapped her chin in thought. "Maybe I can calm you down with therapeutic bliss.", she suggested. Autumn Blaze shrugged. "Worth a shot.", she said, winking. Tree Hugger put her forehooves to her mouth and she started making flute noises. The tune was starting from high notes all the way down to the lower ones. Autumn Blaze felt a sense of calmness overcome her body. Her eyelids were getting heavy, as she was starting feel drowsy. "Oh my, that is nice.", she said as she let out a yawn. Her legs couldn't keep their balance anymore, so let the sensation get the best of her and collapsed on her back with her limbs splayed out and eyes closed. Tree Hugger sat down by Autumn Blaze's side. "Ah yes, breath in, breath out. Breath in, breath out.", she said in a hipster-styled sing-song voice while doing hoof gestures above the kirin's belly. She got back to doing her flute noises. Autumn Blaze's underside rose and fell in rhythm of her breathing. It followed the sound of Tree Hugger's "flute." When Tree Hugger played her music for the last time, she removed her hooves from her muzzle and looked at Autumn Blaze's peaceful display. Laying on the ground, like she was sleeping soundly. The kirin opened her eyes and glanced over at Tree Hugger. "That was amazing.", she said in a whisper. "Your powers are amazing." She sat up and gave the green mare a hug. "Thank you so much, Tree Hugger." She broke the embrace. "Oh, I'm good, I know.", she said, being modest. "You were dozing like you were floating on a lazy river, just floating for hours and hours." Autumn Blaze tapped her chin in thought. "I wonder if those exist.", she thought. She hugged Tree Hugger again. "I love you, girl." Tree Hugger was surprised by this. She then hugged the kirin back with every bit of happiness that has ever came back to her.
