//------------------------------// // Chapter 6 : Hell hath no Fury like the Princess of the Night // Story: Transferred as a Limited God to a World full with Colorful ponies // by WinterStormed //------------------------------// *Yawn* The room was bathed with orange light. That's enough of reading. I pushed the book aside, rubbing my eyes with my left hoof. "Haaaaaaa, this book." I glanced at it the infernal book with a frown as I filtered and processed what I had learned from the pages. Which was not much, unfortunately. Having spent a big chunk of the day only to read a book full of crap. But I did learn some geographical points and other interesting points, so it wasn't a waste of time. Just sort of. Anyway, besides the kingdom I was currently in, Via Lactea, there were four other nations in the region, a region referred to in the book as Giridea. Again, I tried my best to organize what I found as factual. Here's the gist of it : Wodenlandt Coat of Arms This was a relatively small kingdom with territories in the southern forest, aptly called Woden's Forest. Its relations with Via Lactea is, according to the book, troubled leaning towards hostility with already having cutting diplomatic ties and enforcing sanctions with Via Lactea due to their policies on Slavery and their war with another Kingdom, Obemia. Nothing else is mentioned other than the writer, to put informally, dissing the Wodenlandt kingdom with statements that have no factual evidence at all. Obemia Coat of Arms A kingdom that is currently at war with Via Lactea. I honestly tried to get more information but the rest is just propaganda and heavily opinionated with, again no factual evidence. But reading through some of it, Obemia was once part of Via Lactea. I guess that explains it all for now. The writer did use some interesting descriptions like 'mutt' and sometimes the word mixed breed. Not the kindest words but does that mean ponies are not the only sentient beings here? Is it perhaps a race war? Amethias Coat of Arms This was a strange one. The writer only dedicated half a page to this Kingdom and to be honest, was very vague, painting it as a mysterious and unknown nation. The passage stated simply....."Amethias is a type of country that does not bother about foreign affairs and seems to be simply content with being isolated from the rest of the region of Giridea." Sappahre Coat of Arms Judging by how the writer raved about this kingdom. This kingdom was either an ally or a powerhouse. As I read on it became apparent it was both. They had common interests and policies with Via Lactea. Unfortunately it did expand on that point because the writer, in his propogandist spree, went nagging about how the Sappahre Kingdom was the reason Wodenlandt was not entering the war by intimidating them with multiple forts by the border and how great their relationship between the kingdom were. Honestly he kept on droning about the same point. All in all, the only real information that I needed was on slavery. Although the writer, I have no idea why, justified it. But I managed to read in between the lines. Here's the facts. Via Lactea is a mare-dominated kingdom with more than 80% of the population being mares with a hair-raising percentage of slaves being Colts is a whopping 92 %. This soon turned into a gender superiority ideology. So long story short, the Colts got the end of the stick in these parts. Especially with laws changing depending on your gender. The kingdoms laws are especially not kind to Colt slaves. Darkly named simply as the 'Male Obedience Act', stallion slaves are required to have the spell known as the Seldis bond cast upon them. This spell ensures that whatever the Stallion's master commands him to do ,would be fulfilled. Failing to do so would result in a range of punishment served by the owner's discretion. I don't know to what extent this spell can do but the examples were down right horrifying. An example was given of a stallion slave fleeing. The master simply imagined his limbs being cut off and the fleeing slave simply fell, writhing in pain, his legs were intact but the pain of amputation was felt. Even free stallions were not protected by the law and had to be married off as soon as they came of age, for the sake of the population stability or so they claim. In all other kingdoms, slavery is disappearing with Wodenlandt already implementing restrictions. But it seems Via Lactea is holding quite firm to their current ways. I glanced at the splayed book on the carpet, maybe the author was bound to a Seldis spell. I mean no person in their right mind would advocate for the enslavement of their own gender unless forced to or had some messed up kink. "Haaaaaa" Did I have a Seldis spell cast upon me? Does my prone to imprisonment make it worse? It was quite bothersome to think about. Huh? I looked back at the doors opening revealing the familiar maid, Sweeping Star, and with her was..... Princess Luna. She was indescribably beautiful. The dark, almost black-purple coat covered her slender but toned body. Her mane was sparkling, floating in the invisible wind, but what was really out of the ordinary were her eyes. In the background of her whole eye form were thousands of tiny stars and planets glittering and moving, it was like galaxies were inhabiting her eyes. Why was she glaring at me? I looked at the terrified Sweeping Star who was signaling to me about something. I realized my mistake. I quickly got off the carpet and stood as straight as I could. Dammit. I left the book on the floor. "How dare a mere slave utilizes their own master's personal belongings as their own ?" Princess Luna said, her voice cold, as she began to walk towards me. Her sudden movement, sent alarms through my head. I'm in a tricky situation here. Should I apologies ? I quickly replied. "I'm sorry! I-I-I-I did not mean t-" "Stop breathing." Her voice was commanding. I immediately felt something was wrong. I-I-I. I'm not breathing! The Seldis spell ! When did they cast it on me ? Ack ! Ack! Ack! Beginning to fill with fear, my body began to toss and turn. Gasping for air that refused to go in. My chest was tightening, my lungs refusing to work. Immediately I was enveloped in a purple glow which Dropped my body to the floor. "P-Princess! Please show mercy. He is not aware of the ethics and rules. He did not even know how to bathe!" Sweeping Star ? With the corner of my eyes I saw the first pony I ever talked to begging for my life. "Breath." I felt oxygen rushing into my lungs. I was still gasping for air and my head was throbbing for some reason but I was alive. Suddenly my vision darkened. My eyes gazed upwards. Princess Luna loomed over me. My mind raced to formulate a plan of escape. A zero chance of success. My body was against the floor underneath the Princess standing over me. Luna's eyes bored into mine as she spoke to the pony behind her. "Since you are my most trusted maid, Sweeping Star, I will let your outburst slide. He is my property. I will do what I see fit. Is that clear, Sweeping Star ? " "Y-Yes, Princess. I-I-I understand." Fear would not be the word that would describe what I was feeling right now. The direction of where this was heading was not good. I was honestly, to put it informally, shit scared. *Chlik!* The princess's left hoof dug into my chest, her sharp ornate hoof piercing through my fur. I screamed as blood slowly began seeping out of the wound. "Stay still," The Princess said, her hoof tracing my chest. The command washed over my body, as it assumed it's own mind. " Have you ever seen a slave well fed or toned ? A Slave who is not aware of his place in society ? Disregard for Royalty ?" Luna asked Sweeping Star. "N-N-No princess." Princess Luna nodded. "But what about a Stallion in the army ? Who was enslaved due to his cowardice in battle ?" My eyes widened, they were getting it wrong. "I'm not a soldier ! Ack ! " I felt her hoof press into my wound. Her eyes glittered with contempt. A purple edged blade appeared floating by her side, it's poise in a stabbing position. "Today, I lost 200 soldiers at Mons Height. It could have been avoided had the stallion squadrons did not defect to the other side. Your kind is but a liability on the battlefield. Because of their betrayal I flatten the whole of Mons Height with all of their citizens in it. " I was now in a state of unfathomable terror as I began to tremble. "P-P-P-Please. I'm not a soldier." The Princess ignored my plea, her blade ready. "I know you were not a participant in the battle. I also know you punishment was decided as slavery. But you, a deserter , lounging in this room while my mares die for their country? Let me end your shame. " "P-Please....." Tears began to course down my cheeks. * Shik! * The blade plunged to the ride side of my chest, my eyes widening. I tried to scream, my words all garbled. Blood was spurting everywhere and every breath I took , The blood spurted out. Having difficulty breathing I realized she punctured my lung. The pain was getting worse as my legs began to twitch. I was dying in the most terrifying way. Drowning with my own blood. *Sweeping stars POV* I screamed as the blood started spewing out from his chest. Tears began to form as the stallion I last saw smiling and teasing me was on the ground writhing in pain. As blood began to spew from his chest, I screamed. Tears welled up in my eyes as the stallion I had last seen smiling and mocking me lay on the ground writhing in anguish. It was the first time I saw Princess Luna like this. I could not believe she would would do such an act in the castle. On our way to her chambers, I spoke excitedly about the stallion in question, but as I began to describe him in detail, her sad and tired smile turned into a frown and then a full glare when we entered the room. I did not realize what she went through today. Princess Luna is in charge of the military of the Kingdom and has been fighting in the war since it started. I-I-I-I should have warned him, I flinched as the princess turned towards me, showing no emotions whatsoever as she flicked her bloody purple saber, removing all the blood from the blade in one swing to the surroundings of the room. "Tell Light Brush and Broom to come clean this mess." Princess Luna said turning her focus on towards the twitching body beneath her. "Now." I wanted to speak up. To say something. Anything to save the stallions life. I knew colts had it tough but... I left the room crying. I had no idea why. *End of Sweeping Star's POV* My breaths became more shallow and ragged. I was crying pathetically, blood began to come from my mouth. But what was most terrifying was how Luna was looking at me. No matter how beautiful her eyes were, they were cold, unforgiving and devoid of any mercy. She was watching me like a boring experiment, waiting for it to end. I ignored her touch as she moved my right foreleg. "Where is it ?" She muttered to her self. Her gaze focused on me. "Where is you military stamp ?" There was a slight panic in her voice. I could not see her fully since my tears partially blocked my view. " I-I *gurgle* not soldier *gurgle* I don't *gurgle* to die *gurgle*" My vison was beginning to slowly fade as my conscious slipped into a dark abyss.
