//------------------------------// // Three words // Story: Three words // by KingSombraTheTyrantRuler //------------------------------// Three words Written by KingSombraTheTyrantRuler Ever since that day, she was no longer royalty. Her own sister banished her from Equestria just because of one thing. Love. He's loved her for a long time, but never said anything, afraid it would end their friendship for good. A few months after she went to him for help, he reveals his feelings. Once upon a time, in the land of Equestria... Princess Luna walked to her sister's room, ready to confess something. She knocked, and heard a voice say, "Come in." She did that, and the Princess Of The Sun smiled upon seeing her sister. "Luna!" Sensing how nervous the filly was, she asked, "Is something wrong?" "Celestia...I'm ready to confess something," Luna said. "Go ahead." "I..." Luna began but trailed off, too scared to continue. "I..." "You can tell me; I won't shout at you or anything," Celestia smiled. Luna sat on a cushion and fidgeted with her hooves for a few minutes before blurting out, "I love Sombra!" Celestia began choking on her piece of cake. "What did you say?!" she asked in shock. "I love Sombra," Luna repeated, blushing. "Luna, you can't love him," the Princess Of The Sun said. "Why?" asked the Princess Of The Night. "Because," Celestia started, "he-" she stopped realizing that she had no reason. "Because you're too young to love!" "That's not true!" Luna exclaimed. "You're only fifteen," Celestia deadpanned. "So? Does the saying 'Love is for everypony' have no meaning?" asked Luna. Scanning her sister's face, she said, "You're jealous, aren't you?" "Of course I'm not!" Celestia shouted. "You can not love Sombra!" "I will and can love him," Luna said firmly. "Then...Choose between him and me," she was told. "I choose Sombra!" The Princess Of The Night declared. The Princess Of The Sun had a shocked look on her face. I thought Luna would choose me... Recomposing herself, she said, "Fine then! From today you are no longer a princess, and are banished from Equestria!" Luna couldn't believe her ears. I must have misheard her. "B-but Celestia..." "No 'buts', Luna," Celestia said, coldly. "You have an hour to pack your things, and leave." Luna, (no longer a princess) was flying out of Equestria. She had never thought that her own sister would banish her and strip her of her royalty just because she loved Sombra. Where would she stay? The Crystal Empire wasn't a part of Equestria; it was a country of its own, so she could stay there. Hopefully Sombra was still awake. The former princess flew for several hours before reaching her destination. She teleported to Sombra's house, and knocked. Three knocks later she heard somepony's hoofsteps, and Sombra opened the door. He was surprised. "Luna? What are you doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you or anything like that..." The unicorn trailed off and then said, "Where are my manners? Come in!" Luna entered and put her saddlebags down as she said, "I'd love to tell you, but I'm really tired. I flew all the way here..." It was now morning, and Luna was explaining everything. "Celestia banished me from Equestria and stripped me of my royalty. I'm not a princess anymore." Sombra asked, "Why did she do that?" "I'll tell you another time?" Luna half asked, half said. "If that's what you want," he replied. "Sombra, I'm bored," Luna said as she sat in his living room. "What should we do?!" Sombra thought for a minute and then said, "Hmm...You can do time travelling spells, right?" Luna raised her eyebrow. "Yeah..." "Then we could go to the future and get some of their games!" Sombra exclaimed. "That's a great idea! Why didn't I think of it?" Luna's horn began to glow, and with a flash of light, they were gone, thousands of years into the future. "This doesn't even look like Equestria," said Sombra. "Are you sure that you didn't send us to another world?" "It might not look like the Equestria we know, but it's still Equestria, thousands of years into the future," Luna told him. "Now lets get some games?" "Lets go!" Sunny Starscout was sitting in her bedroom, looking at her Mane Six figurines. Suddenly, she had to cover her eyes as a bright light appeared. Once it had faded away, Sunny pinched herself to make sure that she wasn't dreaming. "I'm not dreaming, am I?" she asked. "There's an alicorn and a unicorn in my house! In my house! And they have magic!" She stood and said, "Hi, my name is Sunny Starscout. What are your names?" "Uh...Hi Sunny. My name's Sombra, and she's Luna," Sombra said. "We came from thousands of years ago to get some games. What games do you play?" Luna asked. "Well...I have video games," Sunny began. "And I have-" She was cut off as Sombra asked, "What are video games?" "I'll show you," she said, and looked for one. Upon finding it, she held it in her hoof and said, "This is a video game." Sombra and Luna stayed at Sunny's house for a while, playing video games with her. Luna said, "Um...I think we should go now." "Can't you stay a little longer?" Sunny pleaded. "Sorry, but we can't," Sombra told her. "We still have to go home... We'll visit you again?" "Promise?" "We promise," Luna and Sombra said. "You could keep these," Sunny said, giving them half of her video games. "Thanks!" Just then, they disappeared in a flash of light, and found themselves in their house once again. A few years had passed since they had gotten the video games, and Sombra grew closer to Luna. Everyday, when he looked into her eyes, heard her laugh, and saw her, his love grew. His mind told him thousands of ways that he could tell her he loved her, but he did none of them. Every time he was close to telling her, he hesitated. Sombra pretended to look at the menu while he thought, Why can't I just tell her? What's wrong with me? I want to tell her...but I don't know if she loves me. Those three words 'I love you' could either begin a new relationship, or destroy our friendship forever. And rejection is the thing I fear most... "Hey Sombra," Luna smiled at him. Sombra put his manebrush down and smiled back, "Hey Luna." He got an idea and asked, "How about lets eat outside today?" "Sure." "Wear your best dress," he told her, and she nodded before leaving to do that. Sombra opened his wardrobe and took a suit out. Then he started to get dressed. And that's how an hour later both of them were at The Crystal Diner, which was a restaurant known for it's top quality food. Sombra was looking at the menu, but every few seconds he snuck a peek at Luna. Her dress was a silver one, which sparkled. The voice in his head told him, Now's your chance; tell her! But what if she rejects me? She won't. But... Just do it. You're a strong pony, Sombra. O-ok. While Sombra was having a conversation with himself, Luna was too. Should I tell him? Yes, tell him. What if he doesn't like me back? What if he doesn't love me. He will love you, don't worry. If you say so. Tell him now! Both said: "I want to tell you something." "I want to tell you something." They laughed. "You go first." "You go first." Sombra said, "Do you want to go first or should I?" Wanting to know what Sombra wanted to say, Luna said, "You go first." "Ok." Sombra took a box out of his pocket and knelt in front of Luna. The sentence- Three words could either begin a relationship, or end a friendship, came to the front of his mind. He hoped that it wouldn't end their friendship. Taking a deep breath, Sombra said, "Luna, I've loved you for a long time, but never found the courage to tell you." Luna smiled, "I love you too, Sombra." He opened the box, revealing a silver ring. "Will you marry me?" The entire restaurant fell quiet, watching the two. Luna gasped. "That's such a beautiful ring! How long did you keep it for?!" He answered, "I've had it for a while, heheh..." "It's the same as the one that I brought for you!" Luna exclaimed. Sombra smiled and then he asked, "Will you marry me?" Luna smiled, "Yes, I will." Sombra stood and put the ring on her horn. She put a matching one on his, and the surrounding ponies clapped. {This story would've come to an end here, but we never found out why Celestia reacted the way she did.} In the Canterlot Castle, a page lay gathering dust. Upon it was written: Saturday, the 2nd of December. To my dear Luna. I know you must be hating me now. I took away your status as a Princess, and banished you from Equestria. You must be wondering why I reacted like that. The reason is, I love Sombra. You know how every time he visited us, he brought flowers for both of us? I believed that he did so because he loved me. But in reality, he did that because he didn't want to make me jealous of the flowers that he would give you. I could tell that whenever he looked at you, talked to you, or gave you something, it was with love. One day I read his diary. And I regretted doing so. He loved you, Luna, and not me. When you came to me and said that you loved Sombra, something inside me snapped, and I was blinded by rage. But making a decision while angered wasn't the best thing. I hope that you can forgive me someday, when I finally get the courage to send you this letter. Lots of love, Your sister, Celestia.
