//------------------------------// // Alpha Rapidash // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Kalos Region. Mt. Molteau. Afternoon. A Rapidash of a unique quality had been found. Larger than an average Rapidash in every way, possessing moves that the Rapidash species can never learn and having crimson red eyes. Currently found in Mt Molteau, one of the resting spots for the Legendary Moltres, Pokemon Hunter J and her men have come to capture this special Rapidash. However, unlike usual instances where J would capture and sell a Pokemon, this Rapidash was powerful and special enough for J to change her mind. She wanted it on her team. And here to investigate plus learn about this unique Rapidash were Ash and Pikachu. Only for them to stumble upon J and her men aiming for Hunter J as well. Ash was currently heading for J before she could get the unique Rapidash while Twilight would do something else to help. All the while, being cautious with J's men around. "Okay. Let's see what we can work with here." Twilight would use her bag and the many objects that Ash had brought her this morning. She wasn't that focused on Pokemon Battling. It didn't help that Zorua was far too shy and timid to battle. Rather, Twilight chose a more practical approach. Spike and Zorua assisted in gathering items out of the bag for Twilight. They had to find at least something that would work. And thankfully, there was a lot to chose from. "We have..a Yellow Flute, a Zoom Lens, a Heat Rock, a few sprays and some berries in this plastic box." Twilight assessed some of the items she had gathered. A majority of these were mainly tailored towards Pokemon. "Plus some more berries on the trees over there." "I don't think those are gonna do anything." Spike shook his head. "Let's try finding something else." "No, we can work with this. And build something with all of them too." Twilight said otherwise. This might be ludicrous, but I'm used to this by now." With a bright grin, her mind had already come up with a plan. Her expertise in inventions would come into play. As for Ash, he moved within the acre of trees, making sure to keep hidden while heading for the volcano. Constant tremors could be felt. Most likely from Salamence's Earthquake or another attack from Rapidash. Many Metang and Skarmory were moving across the area, mainly in the air, searching for Ash and Pikachu. But so far, they weren't able to find them as of yet. "Nothing yet." One of the grunts said. "Are you sure he's here?" "He has to be. I've got another way of dragging him out. Metang, use Flash Cannon!" One grunt had an idea of dragging Ash out. And that was by throwing Pokemon moves everywhere. "Flash Cannon!" The others did the same. Their Metang and Skarmory started unleashing Flash Cannon, aiming at the landscape of Mt Molteau. Pure silver energy was being used, causing immediate destruction to anything within its sight. The cliffs, walls and even nearby trees were taken down with the Skarmory and Metang firing in every direction. But even with this raining destruction, Ash and Pikachu were still out of sight. They used the edge and the shadows of the mountain to their advantage. However, even they knew that this destruction would mean that they would be revealed soon. "This way, Pikachu." Ash pointed ahead with Pikachu holding tightly onto his shoulder. "Wish we could use Dragonite to fly there, but we can't risk being seen." "Pikachu." "Just gotta get there before J captures Rapidash." Ash started speedwalking through the acres as other trees nearby were being obliterated by the beams of light. They were still a bit far from the volcano at this rate. Moving at this pace was certainly slowing things down a tad. Speaking of the volcano, J and her Salamence were still against this unique Rapidash. And as their battle continued, the volcano was starting to act up some more. All of this conflict was starting to trigger it. That was an extra difficult that would soon pile onto J. It was made even harder considering that J wanted to capture Rapidash and add it to its team instead of selling it. Which meant that her gauntlet wouldn't be utilized in this instance for the first time. But her gauntlet could. "Salamence hit those rocks in Rapidash's direction!" She ordered whilst on Salamence's back. "Sala!" Salamence swung its tail, hitting the large rocks made from this ongoing. J chimed in by using her gauntlet to shoot out rocks as well that were small at first but expanded later. "Rapi...Dash!" But, with utter ease, Rapidash used its back hooves to easily shatter the rocks, overpowering its weaknesses once more. The kicking strength of its hooves crumbled the rocks to become nothing but pebbles. J was taken aback by this. But this was a larger reason to have this Rapidash on her team. "Incredible...How about two for one then?!" J then used a double function of the gauntlet. Using both Water and Flying. Out of it, a stream of water was sent along with a powerful headwind. "Dash!" Rapidash neighed before having its movements suddenly slow down with this strong wind pressure arriving around it. It promptly held Rapidash back, causing some of the rubble to be blown in its direction. "Rapidash?!" Rapidash gasped as it had been pelted by pebbles. Not only that, but the water stream added to this assault. Rapidash had been hit by all of them consecutively, leaving the Fire Horse Pokemon staggered and winded. That allowed J to seize this vulnerable opportunity. "Now! Hyper Beam!" "Sala...!" "Ra!" However, showing how overwhelmingly powerful it was, Rapidash recovered from that assault as if it was nothing. Its eyes had flashed before opening its mouth. Right as Salamence had unleashed Hyper Beam, Rapidash had used Fire Blast. "What?!" J gasped, flabbergasted at this quick recovery. At this point, Rapidash was breaking all expectations each passing second. Fire Blast and Hyper Beam had met, resulting in an immediate outburst of epic proportions. Releasing a paroxysm of Fire and Normal Infinity Energy that soon formed a circular shape for its explosion, the area around the volcano had been slightly altered with both Rapidash and Salamence being pushed away. This massive explosion was large enough to be seen from afar. By Ash, the grunts and Twilight. Some of them stopped what they were doing to witness this outburst. But Ash and Pikachu continued. The explosion subsided with even more rubble being seen. And once the dust settled, only one stood before it all. And that was the unique Rapidash. It stood gracefully amongst the destruction that had been made, finally showing signs of damage with tatters and scratches around its body. But all of that didn't matter was the ones who were down were J and Salamence. They groaned as J was on top of her Salamence with her clothes dirty. However, despite them being downed, J wasn't ready to call it quits. "Ugh..." She held her head with Salamence barely being able to stand. She then returned Salamence to its Poke Ball before getting on one knee. "Curse you, Rapidash!" She bellowed. "You're something else, aren't you? But you're already worn out from that struggle. One more Pokemon can do the trick." J was already prepared for her next Pokemon. However, as soon as Rapidash saw this, the Fire Horse Pokemon decided to put an end to this. It couldn't handle another fierce battle. So, with just a gaze into J's eyes, it had used Hypnosis. A light blue glow came from its eyes, meeting with J's eyes. "Gh!" J gasped, freezing in place as got on her second knee. "H-Hypnosis...?!" J couldn't reach her Poke Ball at all. She was already feeling drowsy. She then looked at her Protean Gauntlet, thinking of a function to free her from this trance. But it was too late. With full control, Rapidash had put J in a sleep state. The Pokemon Hunter had dropped to the ground, asleep. Now it was truly over as the volcano was roaring. Rapidash then decided to leave the area immediately. All while currently damaged. Back below, Ash and Pikachu rushed to the scene once witnessing this explosion. However, a few of J's men also approached it once they spotted it as well. Ash saw rubble falling from above, rolling down the hills. Fairly large rubble too as a result of the explosion. Ash and Pikachu stepped aside once some of the rubble came tumbling down. The rubble had then broken the trees, causing them to topple immediately. The large rubble would keep rolling until it came to a halt. And due to these broken trees, one of J's men managed to spot Ash and Pikachu. "There you are!" He cried out. The few of them then gathered once spotting the Alola Champion and the Mouse Pokemon. "Guess we're never gonna get past anything even when quiet, huh, buddy?" Ash said with a grin forming on his face. "But I've got a few of you here. You're just the right amount for Pikachu and me to beat you!" "Pikachu!" Pikachu hopped off of Ash's shoulder, facing the few grunts and their Pokemon. But he wouldn't be alone. Ash held out a Poke Ball, sending one of his Pokemon in. "Sirfetch'd, I choose you!" "Sirfetch'd!" "Metang, use Zen Headbutt!" "Skarmory, Air Slash!" "Metang!" The Metang advanced, diving towards their targets with mental energy being projected right in front of them. As for the few Skarmory, they sent blades of air that sliced the skies. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Sirfetch'd, use Night Slash!" "Pika...!" Pikachu built up some energy within his body, gathering 100,000 votes perfectly. Sirfetch'd joined him by first putting his shield in front of him. The shield had blocked the blades of air promptly as both Pikachu and Sirfecth'd unleashed their attacks in unison. "Chuuu!" "Sir!" A bolt of lightning and dark waves went sent, flying beside each other. The darkness of Night Slash overpowered the mental energy that the Metang had, bombarding them with super-effective hits while Thunderbolt had consumed Air Slash before striking all of the Skarmory in the sky. Each had taken super-effective blows with some of them even fainting as J's henchmen had gasped. "Now, send them flying with Brutal Swing!" "Sir...!" Sirfecth'd then rushed in with a glowing leek. J's henchmen closed their eyes as they thought that Sirfetch'd would hit them. But instead, it was something else. Once the opposing Pokemon started falling after fainting, Sirfetch'd swung his mighty leek, hitting them each. With excellent precision, he launched them into the grunts. The grunts had been hit by their Pokemon and it was made worse considering that Metang and Skarmory were Steel-Type, thus, increasing the impact Once hit, they had been knocked back, crashing into the rest of their Pokemon as well. A successful defeat as they opposing Pokemon and their trainers had been sent elsewhere thanks to Sirfetch'd's mighty leek giving them a good launch. "That's that. Thanks, Sirfect'd. Return, for now." Ash promptly returned Sirfetch'd as he and Pikachu continued on their way, hoping for no more interruptions. "I hope Twilight, Spike and Zorua are doing okay down there." Back at the lower part of the mountain, the other grunts had found their way here. A few of them were still searching for Ash, only to find no one, as usual. And yet, they still weren't thinking about Twilight. Mainly because a majority, if not all of them, were not aware of her at all. And that worked in Twilight's favour. As they were searching, Twilight's new invention had been finished. With the union of the items she grabbed from her bag, she managed to form a precarious invention that only she could ever make with the power of science. It was built similarly to a telescope stand with the Zoom Lens being used as a way to view everything from near and far. And right underneath it, some holes had been made along with tubes added. These tubes were made possible by the Yellow Flute that Twilight also had. And to top it all off, this invention was being powered by the Heat Rock. The heat of it was giving the invention some power to function. At least for the time being. Twilight took the helm of this strange machine as she held onto a handle that she had also made. "I see them..." Twilight looked through the Zoom Lens, spotting the grunts from afar while sticking her tongue out. "Is this gonna work? It looks...weird." Zorua wasn't too sure about this at all. She had never seen anything like it. "Trust me. Twilight knows how to make weird work." But Spike reassured the Spiteful Fox Pokemon. He should know. Being her pet dog allowed him to see all of Twilight's inventions at work. "Thanks, Spike. Aha!" Twilight found her first targets. She spun on the handle as the machine had then fired something out of it. And that something was the berries that she also had. Particularly, the more effective berries such as Cheri, Tamato and Persim Berries. Some of the spiciest berries out there. They came flying out, targeting the grunts immediately. "Hm?" The first grunt had noticed this berry coming his way, only to be too slow to do anything as a Tamato Berry struck his eyes. "H-H-HO-HOT!" And due to the spiciness plus the power of the Heat Rock, this started burning his eyes and face. He ran around screaming, trying to negate the pain. But there was no nearby lake or river for that. Soon, everyone else received the same treatment, along with their Pokemon. It was raining spicy berries as Twilight's handle spinning increased with high velocity. She was getting into this. Each of the henchmen and their Pokemon were bombarded with unexpected heat. It didn't help that an active volcano was here. And as for the Pokemon, the heat affected them greatly thanks to their Steel-Typing and the fact that they could most definitely feel the spiciness of the berries. They were not supposed to be this hot. All of them had scattered as the shadows of the berries started casting over them. There was a surprising amount. But then again, Twilight's bag was big enough to carry a lot and the berries were small enough to fit in. "I see you!" Twilight continued her onslaught, spinning her invention some more while also moving it. She made sure not to miss her mark at all. "Spike, Zorua, more berries!" "Got it!" Spike and Zorua then ran to the trees, gathering more spicy berries for Twilight to use. They filled the invention with these berries, causing more of them to fly out. And since this was a hot area, the berries were hot too. "Where is this coming from?!" One of the grunts cried out as he was on the ground, being mercilessly attacked by spicy berries. He and many of the other grunts had red eyes and could barely see. "Ugh! W-Wait! Right there!" One grunt managed to spot the direction of the berries and where they were coming from. But it was a bit hard to see. However, not all of them had been hit yet or even gotten a worse treatment since the berries hit them on other parts. "Whoever's doing this must think they're some genius! Metang, Psychic!" "Metang!" Some of the Metang had used Psychic, levitating in the air and performing a telekinetic hold onto the rest of the incoming berries. The bombardment of spicy berries had been promptly stopped. "Huh?" Even Twilight wondered what had just happened. She used her Zoom Lens for a closer look, seeing that the Metang had caught the berries with a Psychic-Type move. "That's not good. Time for the next option then." She then went to the other side of the invention, using the flute next. Not just the flute, but the Fluffy Tail too. The tail was hooked onto the flute for one purpose. She decided to play a tune on the flute, causing it to echo a specific melody. A melody that only Twilight could play. And with this melody that had some ringing within it thanks to the Fluffy Tail, it a soothing feel to it. Soothing enough to make the Metang and Skarmory tired. They started yawning at this calming melody that fit well with the sunny skies. Something that was so calm that anyone could study to. Only the Pokemon were affected as they started descending from the air, closing their eyes. "Hey! What are you doing?! Wake up!" A grunt cried out as the others did the same. But their Pokemon were already deeply asleep at this point. "Ooh...That's so sweet..." Zorua uttered, feeling tired as well. But Spike had placed a spicy berry in her mouth, causing her to wake up from the heat. "I-I'm up!" "That's a melody my mom used to lay me when I was young," said Twilight. "It helped to put me to sleep all the time. Works like a charm even today." "There she is!" However, some of the grunts had managed to find her once they followed the trail of spicy destruction made by Twilight's invention. Twilight gasped as Zorua quickly hid back in Twilight's bag, keeping herself hidden. Twilight rotated her invention to face the rest of them. There was one other option left besides the berries. The sprays. Once the grunts approached, aiming to cease Twilight's actions with that wacky invention, Twilight changed the function, spinning the handle once more. Within it, the sprays that she had were also used as ammunition. Coupled with the heat rock, they were hot as well. The grunts that had approached with their Pokemon had been blasted by this spray, getting it in their ears. This was the equivalent of getting pepper-sprayed. Arguably worse than that. She cranked it up, causing the spray to intensify, pushing the grunts and their Pokemon back. They soon received the same hot treatment as their fellow grunts, screaming with their faces heating up. "That stings! Gah!" Right after she had sprayed them, Twilight then switched back to the berries, shooting them at rapid speeds. The grunts were still overwhelmed by the spray as the berries only added to it, constantly bombarding and even pushing them back due to the closer range and insane speeds that they were coming out at. Many of them fell over, however, Twilight's berry supply was starting to run low at this rate. "Enough of this! Skarmory, Aerial Ace!" "Skarmory!" A few of the Skarmory swooped in, leaving a white trail of energy as they flew. Twilight aimed her Zoom Lens at them, spotting the approaching Armor Bird Pokemon. Unfortunately, Twilight wasn't fast enough to deal with this considering that the Skarmory were moving at swift speeds. "!" She gasped, quickly moving away from her invention. The Skarmory had each dove into the wacky invention, crashing into it and causing it to fall over. One of them even hit the ground which caused Twilight to also fall over. "Ugh!" Just like that, her invention had been taken out. It was efficient while it lasted, but its run came to an end with ever-increasing numbers. Once it had been destroyed, J's men had approached Twilight, causing her to back away while on the ground. An expression of terror could be seen on her. "You little...Got us all overwhelmed back there." One grunt wiped his jacket off of the berry splatter. "I don't know how you did it, but you won't do it again." "Not with that weird machine she can now that it's gone." Another grinned, ready to dish out some payback for Twilight as many of them had a devious grin on their faces. Their Pokemon also approached Twilight with hovering, not too happy about the berry rain from before. Twilight looked around for something or else these Pokemon and their grunts would have their vengeful way with her. Unfortunately, her bag wasn't close enough to run and grab. However, she had those that would defend her. Specifically, Spike, who showed great aggression towards them. Spike started barking at them, trying to intimidate the grunts and Pokemon. Unfortunately, his barking was far too cute to be intimidated by. No one was phased. "What kind of Pokemon is that?" They even thought he resembled a Pokemon. "Think we should catch it?" Spike then lunged forward, aiming to bite one of the Metang. However, the Steel-Psychic-Type had used Psychic, grabbing the puppy midair. Spike blinked as he was then launched away by a Psychic push. "Spike!" Twilight cried out as Spike had landed around the bushes near the acre of trees. Zorua was appalled by what she had seen. Her friends were being attacked. One of which had been launched away, almost severely hurt. And very soon, Twilight would be next, possibly receiving the worst of it. Zorua looked onwards, seeing the grunts and Pokemon with their menacing glares and ferocious smirks and grins. The Spiteful Fox Pokemon was shaking. Completely fear-stricken due to her timidness. Her legs were trying to move but they couldn't at the same time. "Twilight..." She said whilst looking through the holes within the bag. Even though she was terrified, being reminded of her past, she thought mostly about Twilight's safety. "Leave her alone!" Jumping out of the bag was Hisuian Zorua. She accumulated enough force in it to tear the bag, causing other items to fall out of it. The grunts and Pokemon ceased once another voice came through. Their eyes were averted to a Pokemon that they had both seen and had never seen before. A different kind of Zorua. Zorua landed in front of Twilight, having two emotions run through. The emotion of fear from these opposing threats and the emotion of courage and loyalty to her trainer. However, now that she had revealed herself, the grunts were now focused on catching her as well. "Look at that Zorua! It must be a regional one!" "Now that's a catch!" "Zorua, get back inside!" Twilight screeched. "No...I won't!" The Spiteful Fox Pokemon refused to go back into the bag. It was pointless at this point anyway. But more than that, once she shouted, Zorua had absentmindedly used one of her moves in response to her emotions. Emerging from her body with a cruel howl and a horrifying visage a devastatingly violent dark purple aura. The atmosphere changed as the grunts were frozen in place along with the Metang and Skarmory. Horrified by what they were seeing, Zorua suddenly unleashed an overwhelming barrage of shadows with spine-chilling resentment. They came in the form of claws, mouths, spikes and other horrifying things as they had engulfed all of the grunts and their Pokemon. They started screaming as they felt horrors rush through them. Twilight sat there in awe as Spike's head popped out of the bushes. Once they had been consumed by these shadows, the grunts and Pokemon suddenly fell. But not without having something around them. Their bodies were shaking as if they had been met with an intensive chill. Needless to say, they ha fainted. "Oooh..." Zorua's eyes spun as she felt a bit woozy from all of that. But Twilight quickly picked her up as Spike ran over. "Oh boy..." "Spike, you're okay!" Twilight was at peace with this revelation. "But Zorua...What was that?" "I...don't know." She groaned. "But I'm tired and hungry now. Can we go home now?" "Not yet. We might've taken them out, but Ash needs our help still." Twilight shook her head. "But we just can't leave them here freely...We have to do something." "Maybe there's something over that nearby town. Dendimille, I think?" Spike suggested. "You're right, Spike! We can call the police and-" Just then, she was quickly cut off by the rubbing within the mountains. "Ash!" Twilight immediately thought about Ash. She held both Spike and Zorua, rushing to the scene. The police had been forgotten as Twilight was worried about Ash, wanting to see if he was okay. She left her bag in a rush. But then again, the state of it was less than favourable. Back at the volcano, J had just woken up after the Hypnosis. She grumbled, sitting up and pushing some of the rubble away from her. Rapidash was already long gone from here. The Pokemon Hunter groaned in frustration. "Curse that Rapidash...It couldn't have gotten far. It still keeps that hoofsteps of fire. It's also weakened, giving me a chance to have an easier capture. That brat better not get to Rapidash before I do!" Appearing right on time with J's roar was a burst of lava from the volcano. Once she saw this, J quickly ran out before she could get up in the volcano. It was safe to say that the volcano would soon let out an all-encompassing explosion of lava soon. She left the scene as soon as she could, only to bump into the one person she hates more than anything. She came to a screeching halt with a facial expression of scorn and hatred. "You...!" "J!" Ash and Pikachu were here. "Pika!" "Are you stalking me or something?" J scoffed. "The chances of you showing up here and almost every other time is getting absurd at this point." The lava from the volcano was getting worse. It wasn't slowing down for anyone. Ash and J looked at the rising lava and the rumbling was now repeating every second instead of minutes at this point. The battle had made everything worse for the volcano. "Out of the way!" J wasn't ready to risk everything here by facing off against Ash. Instead, she had shoved Ash aside, rushing off. She couldn't use Salamence at the moment due to it fainting from the previous battle. Ash had the same idea as J. Leaving the area before the lava melts him and Pikachu. Ash and Pikachu went in a separate direction from J. They were aiming to find Twilight, Spike and Zorua to warn them while J was still set on finding Rapidash, just away from the lava. Speaking of Rapidash, its current whereabouts were easy to trace for J. She followed its flaming hoofsteps. The ones that had been recently made instead of the ones that were already here. "You're within my sights soon, Rapidash!" J exclaimed. With the thunderous burst of lava rising, beginning to flow once it touched the ground. Now some of the lava was on the move. Meanwhile, Twilight was also following the hoofsteps, knowing that Ash did the same, focusing on the older ones. She had yet to see the newer ones. A tremor came through, causing her to fall over while still holding onto her friends. Twilight hurt her knee from this fall. "Ow!" She stopped for a moment once she harmed her knee. She quickly ran to a nearby tree to try and relax the pain. Spike and Zorua jumped out of her grasp as they felt as if they were slowing Twilight down. "Twilight! Are you okay?!" They both asked. "Wish I brought the bag along now..." Twilight took a deep breath., holding her knee. "Might've had a bandaid or something for this." "I'm sorry! It was my fault! I broke the bag and-and-and-" Zorua stammered, placing the blame on her. "It's okay, Zorua. You protected me and that's all that mattered." Twilight patted the Normal-Ghost-Type on the head. "Don't cry, please." "Okay..." "I have to do something." Twilight sighed, using her brain to try and come up with something else. She was great at thinking on the spot. She wouldn't let injures get to her either. But in the midst of brainstorming, hoofsteps could be heard clopping in this direction. Appearing around this acre of trees was someone else. Right when Twilight took a breath and was injured. Zorua whimpered, hiding behind Spike while Spike just growled at whoever was approaching. Twilight looked over, witnessing two crimson glints in the shadows of the sun. And with that glint, flames could also be seen. Who else would have this but the Rapidash that they were all focused on? Rapidash had approached, spotting Twilight's group. Naturally, considering its disposition and prior events today, upon seeing the group, immediate hostility was made. And considering how his intimidation from before was ineffective, Spike still tried to scare Rapidash off. "R-Rapidash..." Twilight gasped. Twilight could finally see the full size of Rapidash at this closer angle. Standing at 11'2 with its maximum height at a better view, this Rapidash was massive. "Rapidash...!" Rapidash unleashed an intimidating neigh that was greater than Spike's growl. Even when Spike started barking, it was of no use. Rapidash looked at Spike, emanating flames from its mouth. At any moment, a burst of flames in the form of a Fire Blast could be formed. However, Rapidash wasn't the only one here. Following those flaming hoofsteps was the Pokemon Hunter. "There you are!" J cried out, startling Rapidash. All attention was drawn to her as she already had her Protean Gauntlet out, cleaving the trees with the Steel-Type option. J was a bit out of breath from all that running, but she wanted to make sure all of this hard work was worth it. J soon discovered Twilight, Spike and that special Zorua. J lowered her gauntlet for a bit, having an agape mouth, awestruck at this. This has been a surprising day for her. The Desire within her had also noticed Twilight's appearance. However, it could tell that it wasn't the Twilight Sparkle from Equestria. "That Zorua..." J gasped. "That's a Hisuian Zorua. Surprising that you would be the one to own a Pokemon as rare as this. Especially one that is extinct." "W-Who are you?" Twilight stood up, still having an injured knee. "Are you that Pokemon Hunter that Ash mentioned...?" "Right I am. But in this case, I'm not here to sell that Rapidash. I need something that powerful on my team. I didn't think they would exist either along with the Hisuian Zorua. But somehow, they're here. Alpha Pokemon! Especially an Alpha Rapidash." "Alpha...Pokemon?" That was Twilight's first revelation of a new kind of Pokemon as she repeated J's words. "That's right. A certain Pokemon that is different from the rest of their kind. Larger and stronger than them in every way, reigning as the best of their species. They existed in the past but were no longer found as time went on. But it looks like I'm not the only one that came back to reality. Since this Alpha Rapiash exists...that means more Alpha Pokemon could be out there." "The time leak..." Twilight said to herself before running in front of Rapidash. Rapidash, at first saw this as an attack. However, Twilight didn't do anything to it instead of just standing in front of the Fire Horse Pokemon. "I won't let you capture it!" "You? Look at you. You're just as injured at that Rapidash there." J approached Twilight. Little girls like you should know when to step aside when they're clearly outmatched." "I don't care if I am." Twilight shook her head. "I can't let someone like you catch Rapidash and use it for your own gain." "Tch." J simply scoffed before tossing a Poke Ball into the air. Out of that Poke Ball came Drapion. "Drapion!" The Ogre Scorp Pokemon roared. Zorua stood alongside Twilight, trying to be brave in front of this overwhelming adversity. "Do you want to do this?" J raised her gauntlet, emanating fire from it. "You and that Zorua of yours are far more outmatched than you can imagine." "We're going to try!" Twilight exclaimed. "Zorua! Use that move you did before!" She finally commanded her Pokemon in battle. "O-Okay!" Zorua found the courage to do so. Those same shadows burst out of her, ready to be launched at full force to hopefully put Drapion and J in that same state as the grunts. "Hmph. Dark Pulse!" "Dra...Pion!" Drapion quickly countered with the only thing that could affect Hisuian Zorua. The shadows from Zorua were cut off once Dark Pulse came through at a quicker pace. The pulse of darkness struck the Spiteful Fox Pokemon, dealing super-effective damage. Zorua squeaked as she flopped to the side. One hit and the Normal-Ghost-Type was already in equal pain as Twilight and Rapidash. "Zorua!" Twilight ran over, catching her partner. "I-It hurts..." Zorua squealed, whimpering as she was already on the verge of fainting. She was lucky to hang in there. Twilight wished she had her bag of potions right now. Rapidash looked onwards to see Twilight hold onto Zorua. Rapidash then noticed J making her next move. "Too easy." J shrugged. "Now, Drapion, Cross Poison!" "Drap...!" Drapion rushed in while Twilight wasn't looking. Poison coated its long claws as a back strike was incoming. However, getting in the way of this back strike was Rapidash. It had smashed its head onto Drapion, knocking the Ogre Scorp Pokemon back a bit. "Pion?!" "Dash!" "Tch! Do you seriously want to continue even when so damaged?! Fine then! I'll weaken you some more! Drapion use Bulldoze!" "Drapion!" Drapion quickly retaliated against Rapidash, returning the favour with an orange glow surrounding its claws. The Poison-Dark-Type swung the claws, slapping Rapidash once, dealing super-effective damage. Rapidash had been weakened some more. This one hit managed to make it stagger, almost falling over. "That should do the trick!" J held out an Ultra Ball, ready to finally end this and have Alpha Rapidash for herself."You're mine!" She roared before throwing it. "No!" Twilight cried out, unable to stop it t her distance. But one individual could. And that was Spike. Spike jumped in front of the Ultra Ball, opening his mouth wide. He imagined the Ultra Ball as a dog toy. As if he was playing fetch. And with that imagination, he had caught the Ultra Ball in his mouth, preventing the capture. "Huh?!" J gasped. "I got it!" Spike spoke while his mouth was full. With his fangs, he had then spat the Ultra Ball out, giving a cocky grin to J. He knew that he had aggravated her and he was relishing in it. "Rapi...DASH!" And this one instance of protection allowed Rapidash to retaliate. Thanks to Spike, it could pull off a move. Specifically, Fire Blast. Rapidash opened its mouth, unleashing a powerful 大-shaped blast of orange fire. The bushes and trees around the area were being burned down by this overwhelming force. "!" J quickly used the Water option, unleashing an equally large blast of water. The water and fire cancelled each other out, forming a massive cloud of steam to form. "Drapion, Dark Pulse!" "Drap!" Drapion used Dark Pulse while the steam clouded their appearances. The pulse of darkness emerged from the smoke, hitting Rapidash directly. The Fire Horse Pokemon flinched, gritting its teeth and trying to hang in there. Twilight knew she had to do something considering how weak Rapidash currently was. And it was hard to say if Ash could make it in time. That's when she saw two options. Some berries on the trees of the Ultra Ball from before. Twilight took a deep breath before placing Zorua on her back. "Hold on tight to me, Zorua." "Okay..." Twilight started with the berries. She immediately picked them up from the trees nearby. At least, the ones that had been burnt down by Rapidash's Fire Blast. Speaking of Rapidash, it was still hanging in there despite the odds. It was truly proving why it was an Alpha Pokemon as Twilight obtained some Oran and Nanab Berries. "Rapidash!" Twilight cried out as the Fire Horse Pokemon had been knocked back by Bulldoze once more. Rapidash swivelled, witnessing Twilight throw the berries its way. "Eat up!" "Dash..." Rapidash took there frozen for a bit. But it knew that the berries could replenish its energy. Knowing this, Rapidash gladly opened its mouth. One bite and a swallow and the berries worked their magic. "You!" J turned to Twilight. "How could I forget!?" "Not so weak as I seem, huh?" Twilight smirked. "I can still be of help!" "Rapidash!" Rapidash had gained some strength back thanks to the berries. It wasn't much but it was something. After receiving them, Rapiash charged in, going straight for an up-close Dragon Pulse. "It isn't over yet! Cross Poison!" "Pion!" Drapion met with Rapidash with poisonous energy formed into an X. Rapidash galloped, releasing Dragon Pulse at the same time for a closer range. At the same time, Drapion had used Cross Poison to clash with Dragon Pulse. Both cancelled each other out, resulting in a strength tie. But right afterwards, J had used the Water function from the Gauntlet once more. Pellets of water bombarded the Fire Horse Pokemon after the clash. J made sure that they came in great numbers. Drapion also chimed in with Dark Pulse, hitting Rapidash while the water pellets did their job. The berries were the only reason why Rapidash wasn't down and out. But it had been weakened once more. "I hope this works..." Twilight then picked up the Ultra Ball from the ground. She cleaned it first before noticing J approaching. J wanted no more interruptions. "Get her, Drapion!" "Drapion!" Drapion had then crawled over at Twilight, lunging through the air. As Twilight held the Ultra Ball, she was met with Drapion's claws. Just like that, she had been grabbed on the neck by Drapion's claws along with Spike who was not to be ignored after interrupting J's capture. "Dra!" "Gh!" Twilight yelped before being picked up from the ground. Zorua was too damaged to do much at this point. That Dark Pulse stung as she tried moving. "T-Twilight..." "R-Rapidash!" Rapidash fell over from all the water pellets, crashing into one of the trees. The Fire-Type's hooves were starting to fail it at this point as J wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Hah...You almost had me there." J chuckled. "You're not too bad, little girl. But you're still no match for a Pokemon Hunter." She taunted as Twilight grabbed Drapion's tail, trying to break free. But her strength meant nothing to Drapion's amazing grip strength, sadly. Spike bit on Drapion's tail but his little puppy fangs were powerless. "You were almost as troublesome as Ash. And I can't have you becoming a bigger threat in the future. Drapion, finish her, now!" "Drapion...!" Drapion's tail was moving towards Twilight, having poison-laced around it. Twilight shuddered, kicking her legs onto Drapion's face with no effect. There was no point to this struggling now as J got ready to capture Rapidash while it was this weakened. She didn't forget Zorua either. "Quick Attack!" "Pika!" But zooming in at lightning-speeds, crashing into J which eventually resulted in her falling over was Pikachu. And if Pikachu was here, so was Ash. And indeed he was. He was drawn to the destruction that came from this part of the mountain. He saw flames and steam erupt among other things, bringing him here. "Dra?" Drapion looked over. "Ash!" Twilight, Spike and Zorua screamed with hope in their voices. "Electroweb!" "Pika-Pika-Pika-Chu-Pi!" Right after knocking J aside, Pikachu then followed up with Electroweb for Drapion. The Mouse Pokemon formed an orb which soon became a web in an instant. The web gravitated itself towards the Ogre Scorp Pokemon, catching a majority of its body. "D-Drapion!" Drapion roared as its grip on Twilight and Spike had been loosened, causing them to be free. Electroweb promptly held the Poison-Dark-Type down. "DEverytime!" J smashed her fist into the ground, frustrated with how consistent Ash was with meddling in her actions. "What is with you?!" "Are you all okay?!" He asked, rushing over to his friends. "We're injured but fine for the most part! Zorua needs treatment, though!" "None of you will be fine after I'm done with you!" J aimed her gauntlet at Rapidash first. She had one function in mind. The Poison function. Once it had been aimed, she forced a stream of poison that flowed at the Alpa Rapidash while it was still getting up. "Oh!" Twilight saw the chance to stop this. The only chance she'll ever get. By aiming her Ultra Ball with all her might, Twilight threw it in Rapidash's direction. "Rapi...?" Rapidash groaned before noticing the Ultra Ball coming its way. A swift bonk on the head and the Ultra Ball had shrunk Rapidash with a beam of light. Right on time as the ball had fallen with the poison missing and hitting the tree instead. Now for the asking to begin. 1... 2... 3... Gotcha! Rapidash was caught. "I-I...I did it!" Twilight jumped for joy as she made a successful catch. J was at first shocked by this but soon realized this was still a chance for her to keep Rapidash. The Poke Ball hadn't been grabbed after all. "I still have a-" "Thunderbolt!" "Pika...Chuuuu!" Pikachu wasn't going to allow that. He immediately sent something faster than J could ever at. An attack of lightning. One of the faster forces out there. The bolt gave the ground a smite, resulting in an electrical explosion that forced J back. She received a shock even from this. "Ugh!" She groaned, skidding on the ground instead of falling over. Twilight ran to the Ultra Ball while it was still there and free. And thanks to Pikachu's interference, she successfully picked it up before J could. "C-Curses..." J punched the ground, taking everything in. Drapion was still restrained from the web as Rapidash now belonged to Twilight. What's more, was that Ash and Pikachu were still healthy compared to everyone else. Plus, Ash had other Pokemon in store. J knew when she was beaten. She stood up, deciding it was not worth continuing this feud. Especially with the volcano still active and trembling. "Darn it...It's fine. There are maybe other Alpha Pokemon out there for me to grab! But I won't forget this!" J quickly returned Drapion before using the combination of fire and water to create a steam cloud. Twilight closed her eyes with Ash holding her, just in case something went wrong with Pikachu on high alert. But, once the steam cloud faded, it was revealed that J was gone. She made her retreat after losing this hunt. "She's gone," said Ash. "We made it out of that one, didn't we?" "I guess so...Hoh...I'm so tired..." Twilight exhaled while still having an injured knee. She almost fell over with Ash holding her steady. "Let's call it a day, please?" "Sure." Minutes later, Officer Jenny and the other officers had been called, bringing J's men in as they were still shocked by Zorua's attack. J had left the scene already, possibly back in Equestria. "Thanks for helping us find some of J's men, you all," Jenny spoke to them. "We'll take it from here." "Glad that's over with." Twilight sighed as she had some bandages wrapped around her knee. Zorua had been fully healed with potions as well. "That was terrifying...I was afraid we weren't going to make it." "But we did. Especially with how hard you, Spike and Zorua worked, Twilight. Great work." He patted her on the back. "Rapidash is in good hands now." I can't believe I own one too..." She gazed at the Ultra Ball. "An Alpha Rapidash...Amazing. Wait till Professor Oak sees this." "You call that amazing? You should've seen what Twilight made." Spike claimed up Twilight's shoulder. "She made some invention out of all the stuff from her bag that shot out berries. Spicy ones too. It looked like that right there. But now it's a mess." "Oooh!" Ash gawked with amazement even if it was now partially destroyed. "You did all of that?! Science is so amazing!" "Pikachu!" "It was nothing. Not my best work anyway." Twilight just shrugged at this compliment. The group could head home and call it a day. It was a wild one too that got out of hand quickly. But with the safe capture of an Alpha Rapidash and the knowledge of other Rapidash existing, it was safe to say that due to otherworldly interference, the world of Pokemon and beyond was about to get even bigger as the journey continues. Chapter 672 End.
