Pop Goes The Diesel

The next day, Sir Tophom Hatt came to see the engines and their partners. “Hello, Everyone. I can see you’re all in a good mood. A new engine is coming to the island.” He said. “His name is Diesel.” Some of the engines were surprised.

“A diesel named Diesel?” Lana asked confused.

“Pop?”

“Thats a weird name.” Said James. Thomas and Percy weren’t happy about the new engine.

“Diesel?” Thomas thought in his head.

“Why does that name sound familiar?” Percy wondered. Doraemon seemed that name familiar, Too. Suddenly, a loud horn was hear from the distance.

“Ah. Here he is.” Said Sir Tophom Hatt as Diesel oiled to Tidmouth Sheds. He didn’t look very happy. Henry and Bonnie were scared of Diesels mean look. “He may look unhappy. But, I have agreed to give him a trial. He needs to learn. Please teach him, Thomas and Percy."

“Yes, Sir.” Said the two tank engines. But, they didn’t like Diesel’s bad behavior. Neither did Doraemon. Twilight, Spike, Ash, Mikey, Chase, Sakura, and Noby were confused.

“Is something wrong?” Twilight asked.

“Eevee?”

“Oh! Its nothing.” Said Thomas.

“Nothing at all!” Added Doraemon.

“Good afternoon.” Purred Diesel in an oily voice. “Pleased to meet you, Thomas and Percy. Is that Edward and Rosie? James, Henry and Gordon, too?"

“Yes.” Whistled Gordon.

“I am delighted to meet such famous engines.“ Said Diesel. The engines and their partners were flattered.

“He does have very good manners.” Said Rosie.

“We're pleased to have him in our yard." Said Ewan. But, Thomas, Percy, and Doraemon had their doubts. It’s as if they didn’t want to teach Diesel.

“Come on, Thomas.” Said Ash.

“Pika Pikachu.”

“This guy doesn’t sound all that bad.” Replied Noby.

“Besides, What could go wrong?” Sakura asked.

“Your worthy Sir Topham Hatt thinks I need to learn.” Said Diesel. “He is mistaken. We diesels don't need to learn. We know everything. We come to a yard and improve it. We are revolutionary."

“Oh," Said Thomas. "If you're revo--revo-thing-amy, perhaps you would collect my cars while I fetch Gordon's coaches." Diesel, delighted to show off, purred away. When Thomas and Percy returned, Diesel was trying to take some troublesome trucks from a siding. They were old and empty and they had not been touched for a long time. Diesel found them hard to move. Pull! Push! Backwards! Forwards!

“Oh! Oh!" The trucks groaned. “We can't! We won't!" Thomas and Percy watched with interest. Diesel lost patience.

"Grrrrrrr!” He roared, and gave a great heave. The troublesome trucks jerked forward.

“Oh!" They screamed. “We can't! We won't!" Some of their brakes snapped and the gear jammed in the sleepers.

“Hahahahaha! What a laugh!” Laughed Thomas.

“This is nuts!” Replied Percy. Diesel recovered and try to push the trucks back, but they wouldn't move. Thomas ran quietly around to collect the other trucks.

"Thank you for arranging these, Diesel. I must go now." He said. "Don't you want this lot?"

“No, thanks to you!” Diesel gulped. “And I've taken all this trouble? Why didn't you tell me?"

“You never asked me.” Said Thomas. “Besides, You were having such fun being re-whatever it was you said. Goodbye!" And they left. Diesel then realized who he was dealing with.

Wait a minute! I know you! You’re that steamy who made a fool out of me all those years ago! And now, Zit happened again!” Diesel said in his head. Then, He smiled deviously. “Well, This time, Things will be different.
