With Iris sitting in 4th in for the second 20 lap sprint race before the main race and noticed when she got into her W13 that only 20 cars left in the race.it was because the engine Rusalka’s Ferrari came over all Italian and Fluttershy’s gearbox had gone into British Leyland on her. With Danger in third and the Crimson Arrows locking the front row again.
When the lights went out, Iris got the best start out of every one else and jumped right into the lead with Viral overtaking Akula at turn 2. Another driver who got a good was Sonic Flash who overtook Kai Solarblitz, Zephyr Galaxia and Applejack thorough turns 2 to 4.
As lap 2 began, Viral was challenge for the lead but with Akula behind her, she had to let Akula challenge Iris for lead instead due a multi 21 message.
As the race was getting rhytmn, Oscura Galaxia was challenging Danger and this time, she was determined to pass the British Speedfreak. But at turn 16 on lap 5, she spun out as part of her front wing clipped Danger’s rear left. Oscura held up the other racers, albeit Sonic had passed her. Oscura rejoined the race in 20th place.
On lap 6, Danger began to chase down his fellow Speed Triumvirate member, Viral and within 7 corners from turn 4. Danger split the Crimson Arrows with Akula now suddenly under pressure (which he never was until now) from one of the ‘Horseriders of the Scuderia Ferrari Apocalypse’.
On lap 8, Azarea Dragonlight’s E30-DRG2 decided to have a gearbox glitch, which caused her to lose 7th gear. When she made it to the pits, she even lost 1st and 2nd gear, she had to retire.
But the drama didn’t stop there as Oscura who recovered into 14th place, crashed into the Pagani of Riley Radiantshard with brought out the safety car. Both Oscura and Riley were fine but Oscura was head on arms on the nose of her RB17, completely angry with the Pagani driver (which was never new).
The race continued on lap 11 with Iris leading from Akula, Danger, Sonic and Viral. Iris was loving the track more as she was drove with maturity and skill.
On lap 13 at turn 15, Danger overtook Akula with the SF22 using only the rear-right wheel on the curb and speeding to turn 16 with the Crimson Arrow behind him.
Lap 18 comes around and Sonic Flash was now the move, he had closed the 2 second gap he had with Akula and… the battle was on again.
Sonic figured he needed a few more laps to overtook him as Iris Dayspark took her first win for Mercedes with Danger second, Akula third, Sonic fourth, Viral fifth, Applejack came sixth, Kai Solarguard seventh, Rainbow Dash ninth and Zephyr Galaxia tenth.
