//------------------------------// // Lips // Story: My Name // by CalmHeart //------------------------------// "Where were you guys?!" "We were out in the battlefield. We had no idea that it was a diversion to get into Ponyville." "Isn't your purpose to protect those who can't protect themselves?! Many have had their homes destroyed, livelihoods damaged! Not all unicorns have powerful magic you know! I and my friends can't be the only ones trying to protect our whole town! And now we have Starscream, in a pony form, somewhere in Ponyville doing Celestia knows what!" "...You're going to have to find him then. He may know the next place Megatron is going to attack." Applejack and Rainbow Dash was standing in front of an old barn's doors at sweet apple acres. "Are you sure he's here?" Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash, a little skeptical. "Other than her, I know Star more than anypony. He's here." Rainbow Dash held firm with her position. After facing an opponent so many times, you happen to pick up on their smallest habits. "Alrighty then." Applejack began to scratch her head. "But, you don't want to tell Twilight and the others if he is here?" Rainbow Dash looked over to Applejack. "He has some things he needs to work out on his own first. Then, maybe he'll be willing to spill the beans." Applejack sighed, and opened the barn doors. "Okay." Rainbow slowly flew into the barn. It was dark, dusty, and quiet. At first, it was quiet. After a minute, She herd a soft whimper above her. She looked up to the rafters above, and noticed a figure lying down on one of them, slightly whining sorrows and sadness. Their tail hanged down from the rafters, making it the most easy part to see. Rainbow Dash sighed, and flew up to the stallion. "Starscream." The grey stallion looked up, and saw the blue pegasus staring at him with a stern face. His eyes were puffy red, indicating he had been crying for hours today. His mane was a mess, full of cowlicks and matted hair. He looked to Rainbow Dash, not with hatred or contempt, but with defeat, and maybe even slight fear. "Are you here to take me in?" "No." Starscream blinked, confused, though he did not chance move from his position. "Then why?" Rainbow Dash's face was serious, and stern, her hooves on her hips while she hovered. "Why did you run away?" Starscream sighed heavily, and turned his eyes away from her, staring at a barn wall. He was silent for a minute, but proceeded to respond. "Ponies don't know I've changed. When they hear my name, all they can think of is the past me. A Decepticon. nothing more, nothing less. " "I know you changed." Rainbow stated, making Starscream turn his eyes back to her. He slowly started to sit up, eyes glancing down to the beam he was on. Rainbow continued. "Starlight too." "Starlight? But... She was heartbroken when the truth-" Rainbow Dash inhaled, and promptly landed a slap across his face, making Starscream shout in slight pain."OW!" He rubbed his cheek. "What did you do that for?!" "Because she's worried about you sick, you idiot! Ever since you left, she's locked herself in her room, bawling her eyes out! She thinks you've run away because of the fact! She doesn't care about- You know what?" Rainbow stopped in the middle of her rant, and picked up Starscream, forcing him to use his wings. He was fully awake now, the puffiness of his sore eyes gone, replaced by a sense of urgency. "She can explain her own feelings more than I ever could." They both descended out of the rafters. "You go tell her how you feel. Go to her." Starscream had a new flame. He was determined, confidant, and ready for anything. He nodded. "Thanks Dash." He flew with speed though the doors, Applejack standing below as he flew past. She held on to her hat, a little surprised at his speed. Rainbow Dash flew calmly out of the barn, proud. "What was that about?" Applejack asked to no one in particular. "That, was him handling business." A pile of tissues had piled up on the left of Starlight's bed. Starlight was laying down on her bed, head in her pillow. She was no longer crying, as she had no more tears left to shed. Instead, she just stayed there, silent, refusing to move. Twilight tried to cheer her up, but that didn't go very well. All she could think about now was the good times she had with North St- I mean, Starscream. They complemented each other so well. He was really fitting in. He was definitely not a Decepticon anymore. But... How could he? They both had nothing to hide. Starlight was always honest with him. Was there other things besides this he wasn't being honest with? These thoughts jumbled her mind, and just made her more frustrated. she grumbled nothing into her pillow, then gave a sigh of sorrow. 'I loved you... I still love you. Just come to me. And everything. Everything will be forgiven. Star...' "Starlight?" She looked up from her gloomy state. Somepony said something. it sounded like... "Starlight." She turned to her right. It was Starscream. "..How did you get in here without being caught?" Starscream slowly walked forward. "I told Twilight the situation. She said I could come and see you." They both were silent for a moment. Starscream decided to speak first. "Listen, Starlight. I'm sorry for lying to you." Starlight was a little surprised at his response. She sat up slowly as he talked and walked nearer to the front of her bed. Starscream's ears drooped. "I was worried, that if I told anypony, even you, about who I was.." He stood in front of Starlight, and lowered his head in shame. "Then you wouldn't see me as who I am now." Starlight sniffed, the aftermath of her tears finally fading away. She watched him take a seat next to her. He stared at her with guilt, and gently placed a hoof on her back. "You can forgive me, right?" For the first time since his disappearance, Starlight started to smile a small, forgiving smile. She suddenly jumped onto him with a big, joyful hug. Starscream winced with non-expectancy at first. "That was all I needed to hear." Starscream slowly hugged her back, relief washing over them both. Now, he decided to tell her. "I wanted to tell you something, before they invaded." Starlight slid out of the embrace. "What?" Starscream blushed, and glanced down at the bed. "It's fact, that, in the Transformers race, we don't usually feel the emotion of love." Starlight eyes widened, and she started to feel the motions again. 'Could this mean he..?' "But, after being a pony for so long... I think... It has enabled me to finally feel it." This new weight lifted off Starlight's shoulders, and was replaced by a blush. "What I'm trying to say is..." He looked up to Starlight, his whole face light red. "I think I 'm in love with you." Starlight's blush was prominent in her cheeks, and for a moment she realized that she was holding her breath. He admitted to it. He.. Felt the same. Starlight calmly exhaled her response. "I love you too." She replied breathlessly, astonished. Starscream smiled meekly, and closed his eyes. He reached out his hoof, to touch hers. He opened his eyes again. "So... What do I do now?" He whispered to himself, though he knew Starlight herd him. Starlight took her free hoof, and put it under his chin, making him gaze up to her. She removed her hoof, and smiled. "This." She leaned forward, and gently planted a soft, quick kiss on his lips. Starscream's eyes widened. He had never experienced this before. He felt explosions, sparks, butterflies, and overall a warm feeling tingle in him. This.. Was what a kiss felt like? 'So... Soft.' it felt... Nice. Starlight departed, her face beet red. She grinned shyly, and glanced away, left hoof rubbing her right hoof. "Too soon?" Starscream was in shock. never before, had a Transformer felt what he did right now. Suddenly, he felt an unexplained urge coarse over his entire body and mind. Subconsciously, Starscream grabbed her left hoof, and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Now Starlight was in shock. She wan't expecting him to be so forward with it. But, she was glad. She closed her eyes, and sunk into the kiss, giving back that same amount of passion. For the first time, a Transformer had felt lust. Finally, something in Starscream's mind told him to stop, and they both slowly departed lips. They looked at each other with amazement. "Wow." The silence of the room pulled them back to reality. Starscream took Starlight into his wings, and laid down on the cushioned bed. Starlight snuggled him gently. Before they drifted off to dream, Starscream told her one last thing. "Thank you." "You let him into the castle?!" "He said himself that he was done with them. He told me everything about how he turned normal." "How can you be sure?" "He only wanted to talk to Starlight. He even said that, if I didn't believe him, then he would come along without resistance." "..." "He's changed, Optimus. I felt it." "...Alright then. We'll see what he can tell us about the Decepticon's next attack."
