The Death of Lab 14

13) First Vision

{Henry}

I finally got a chance to figure out how to use my mother Applejack's rope. I figured since it was a rope, I could use it to swing from place to place.

I stood outside by the now empty barn and hooked the rope to a nearby tree branch. I proceeded to stand on top of the barn and jumped, swinging myself into the nearby pond.

The geese in the pond squawked and flew off when I landed in the water. I swam up to the surface and got to the edge of the pond and sat down. I wasn't able to contain my laughter when I saw the geese reaction to what happened. I looked over to see Derek leaning up against the barn with a smile on his face. "Having fun Henry?"

I chuckled, "Oh yeah, it's about I got a chance to play with my new toy. And it's a toy that I want to play with this time!"

Derek almost fell over. He was laughing so hard. "I'm going to guess it's because Cora didn't give it to you?"

I smiled, "You guessed it! Also it's because my mom had it last."

"I do love hearing you laugh, Henry." Derek said. "I was surprised to hear it when I came around the corner. It's been a long time since I've heard you laugh like that. So I figured I would just stand here and watch you have fun."

I felt stunned by what Derek just said but quickly got over it because I knew that he was always right. The words 'fun' and 'relax' I didn't feel that would be possible much until Cora was dead. It seemed like it was going to be rare to me because the last time I had fun like this was when I was apple bucking with Sarah.

I smiled, "Once again Derek, you're right. Until Cora's dead, I'm not sure if I'm going to have much fun."

I had also figured out a way to call my rope back. It's strange because I figured it out when I was playing it and all I had to do was point my palm towards whatever direction my rope went in and it would come back to me and it would wrap itself around my waist when it came back to me.

Derek gave me a curious look. "That's pretty cool, the new weapon you got. It's almost like it's connected to you."

I nodded. "Yeah. You wanna give it a try?"

"Sure, what do I do?" Derek asked.

I handed Derek the rope. "Just point the rope and hook it on where you want it to be. Then stand at the tallest point from where the rope is hooked on and well I think you know what to do after that."

He did exactly what I told him to. He landed into the pond right next to me. This time geese were very pissed off at having their afternoon swim interrupted again. It surprised me when they didn't come over and attack us for it. Even though Derek laughed at this, he seemed puzzled as if he thought the same thing.

 I tilted my head. "What?"

"Normally, when geese are pissed off and they feel threatened they will defend their territory like we defend ours," Derek explained. "I wonder why they didn't come and attack us?"

I shrugged. "Beats me! Your guess is as good as mine."

When the geese got settled into doing their afternoon swim again, I thought about pissing them off just for shits and giggles. Derek looked at me and I could tell that he knew what I was thinking. He went into a fit of laughter.

I raised an eyebrow. "What is so funny Derek?"

Derek snorted. "You want to piss them off again don't you?"

I gave him a mischievous smile and nodded. Derek couldn't stop himself from laughing.

"Too bad they can't go beyond the barrier because they'll get zapped if they do," Derek laughed. "And they don't need to migrate because there's no seasons here in the In Between."

"Well if  they won't defend their territory then that's going to make it even more fun for me!" I laughed wickedly.

Derek chuckled, "I think we might've found another way to help you relax other than using your magic to help you."

That's what we did for the rest of the day. We kept waiting until the geese got settled back to their swim again and we disturbed their swim. Finally, the geese got so agitated that they retreated into the barn for the night. I must admit that was a lot of fun.

The next time I fell asleep, I had a really strange dream. It wasn't a memory and it didn't feel like something Derek and Tiger Stripes would do for me. The dream was just strange and eerie. The dream started out with me being tied to a chair and I thought I was going to be taunted by Cora again. I looked over and saw a goofy looking kid, he looked like he was about Derek's age or younger. He had blue hair and purple eyes. To me it looked like he was the male version of Experiment Rose.

"In case you're wondering," the boy said, "I don't have a name. I'm just a tracker experiment sent to track you down and bring you back to your home, Lab 14 where you belong!"

I snarled, "Lab 14 is my home? You've got to be kidding me!"

"But Head Cora wants to see her son again!" The boy chimed. "Don't you want to see your mother again, Experiment Henry?"

I rolled my eyes. "First of all my name is not Experiment Henry! It's God Henry to you! If you want to see my birth certificate, it says Crimson on it because Cora just decided to change my name. Second of all, Cora's not my mother. My mother's are Applejack and Rainbow Dash! Cora stole me from my crib when I was three years old!"

The boy frowned. "But Head Cora raised you! So that makes her your mother and you should be happy to see her again!"

I groaned, "Let's see, tutoring me and wiping my memory over and over again is raising me how?"

The boy showed no reaction to that whatsoever. "No matter, you're coming back to Lab 14 one way or another."

I growled, "The only way I'm going back to Lab 14 is to finish what I started and to kill Cora once and for all! Not because you made me!"

The boy rolled his eyes. "Boy, Head Cora did us you are quite a handful. She said she really wanted some data from you because it's rumored that you created the red moon in the sky."

I stared at the boy. "Of course I made the red moon! Only a god can do that, you idiot!"

"Wow," the boy said, "someone's awfully sure of themselves. You won't be so sure when you're back at Lab 14!"

I groaned and rolled my eyes. "As I've told Cora many times before, do your worst!"

"Oh I'll do my worst alright!" The boy sneered.

I rolled my eyes again as the boy put a hand on my back and it felt like my shoulders suddenly fell asleep. The boy screamed and jumped back after he did that.

"What was that supposed to do? And why did you just scream?" I asked.

"Well that was supposed to stun you so that the others could come up and knock you out," The boy explained. "I couldn't do it because your skin is so hot to the touch even through your clothes!"

I laughed at the boy just to be spiteful. "Cora must've botched your group of experiments she sent after me if that's all you got!"

"What do we do now?" I heard another kid panicking.

"I don't know," the boy said, "looks like the three of us will have to work together before Experiment Derek finds the rest of us! He's sure to find Experiment Henry and kill us as well."

I smirked. "Did you just say my husband killed some of you? That's my Derek for you!"

The boy paused. "Did you just say Experiment Derek was your husband?"

"Yes my husband," I snapped, "and there's nothing you or Cora can do about it!"

The boy didn't say anything. I felt my body go numb from the waist up. I heard shrieks of pain after that.

Oh brother, this is getting on my nerves! Time to make my exit and kill the rest of these fool's! I thought.

I looked down to see the ropes I had been tied up in were burned to a crisp. All I had to do was stand up. I stood up and turned around to see three terrified Tracker Experiments. Then I heard Tiger Stripe's voice, "Master God Henry? Can I eat them? They obviously have evil intent and I haven't been to the Downward to eat yet. It'll save you the trouble of killing them yourself."

I gave three terrified experiments a sinister smile. "Sure Tiger Stripes, after this, you should be pretty full for the rest of the day afterward."

Tiger Stripes then ate each of the Tracker Experiments one by one. He burped in satisfaction, he gave a grateful hiss and thanked me for the meal.

The next thing that happened was that I laughed like a psycho. As I laughed I wondered how many more experiments like the tracker experiments Cora was going to send after me. I would just give them to Tiger Stripes for his next meal. It's a shame that I couldn't enjoy the dreams ending for too long because I woke up.

I opened my eyes and felt Derek kissing me. I could tell by the way he was doing it, he was panicking. When he saw I was awake, he stopped kissing me.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"What in the world were you dreaming about Henry?" Derek said.

"There were Tracker Experiments trying to take me back to Lab 14 by force. The leader of them was a young boy that didn't have a name. He had blue hair and purple eyes. I could've sworn he was a male version of Experiment Rose! I don't know what kind of powers he had because it didn't work. The other Tracker Experiments were terrified because you killed the rest of them.

"Tiger Stripes volunteered to eat them, so I fed them to him as his meal. I started laughing like a psycho because of my version of the dream's happy ending for once," I explained. "So what was I doing in my sleep this time?"

"You were laughing like a psycho and I thought it was another nightmare because you said you weren't going back to Lab 14 and it's not your home anymore," Derek replied.

Derek frowned when I started laughing like I did in my dream. Derek paused and his eyes went wide in terror. I tilted my head. "What?"

"Did you say young kid with blue hair and purple eyes? Looks like the male experiment of Experiment Rose?" Derek squeaked.

I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, why?"

"I had the same dream the last time I was asleep!" Derek said.

"What?" I gasped. "How is that possible?"

Derek and I just sat there in silence trying to figure out why this happened.

Tiger Stripes started laughing, "I know exactly why that happened. You two do realize you're god's right? That was one of the first visions that you two will share."

"Okay," That was the only thing I could think of to say at the moment.

"You'll have to figure out what to do about this on your own," Tiger Stripes responded. "You guys are gods now. So you're not ordinary creatures. I'm pretty sure that's bound to be more surprises that will happen to you along the way."

Derek and I just sat there with a long awkward silence between us. Finally, Derek broke the silence, "What do we do now?"

I shook my head to try and shake off the feeling of uncertainty, "I'm not sure if there's anything we can do except wait for the vision to come true."

"Oh joy," Derek said with sarcasm, "I can't wait!"

I found Derek's sarcasm funny and Derek frowned at me as I was laughing.

"What is so funny Henry?" Derek asked.

I snorted. "My future husband is actually afraid of something for once."

"I'm not afraid of this," Derek said quickly.

I raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Uh-huh, sure you're not."

I laughed at Derek's reaction because he blushed and looked away.

"You know something Henry?" Derek said. He took a deep breath and let it out, "I really hate to admit it… But… You're right."

I snorted. "Excuse me? I'm right for once? Wow."

I laughed even harder because Derek couldn't look at me at the moment.

Derek rolled his eyes. "No comment on your laughter."

"You do realize it's okay to be afraid of something right?" I asked.

"Not for me it's not!" Derek replied.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't get scared!" Derek snapped.

"Really? You do realize that you can have feelings even though you're a god right?"

Derek sighed, "I know, it's just embarrassing especially in front of you."

I grinned and this time I bit my bottom lip to keep myself from laughing. "It's okay to be scared Derek. Hey, I have a long list of things I'm afraid of, facing Cora again is one of them."

I then tried to console Derek by reaching over and kissing him. Derek kept kissing me as he grabbed me and held me in his arms.

{Leader Felix}

I'm always glad when I get a call from God Derek. I was still amazed that one of my top ranking agents is now a god. Of course if Discord would stop popping up that would be great. It's almost as if Discord knows when God Derek is going to call because as soon as the call with God Derek started Discord popped up.

God Derek groaned when he saw Discord, "Pestcord! What do you want this time?"

"I'm not a pest!" Discord whined like he normally does.

I groaned along with God Derek at Discord's protest.

I tried to reason with Discord, "Honestly Discord! Stop popping up all the time! I have work to do and so does God Derek! Too bad they don't have pest control for rodents like you!"

"Hey!" Discord said. "What I want to know is why didn't I get invited to your celebration party a few weeks ago?"

"I have no idea because we didn't do it!" God Derek snapped.

Once Discord turned to me for an explanation, I shook my head, "Don't look at me! Princess Twilight was the one that planned it!"

"But my daughter was there," Discord pouted, "even Fluttershy got to go!"

I couldn't help but laugh at Discord and God Derek joined. When we stopped laughing at Discord, God Derek teased, "Wow you're whole family got to go and you didn't?"

Discord scoffed at God Derek and stuck out his tongue. After that God Derek rolled his eyes because he knew what Discord was going to say next. "No Pestcord, Henry's asleep and there's a reason why I call when he's asleep. We both agreed that I would be doing the calls and don't play the godfather card because you're not his godfather!"

God Derek then gave me the coordinates to the next location that he and God Henry would be going after. When I saw the location I gasped because that's the location next to where God Derek and God Henry would be having their wedding planned by The Grand God Council.

God Derek tilted his head and raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

I gave a nervous laugh and lied, "Oh nothing, nope nothing at all, anyway, we'll do what we usually do. Until next time God Derek."

God Derek nodded and ended the call. Once the call ended, I looked over and saw Discord grinning at me.

"No Pestcord!" I snapped. "It's my own personal information and it's none of your business!"

"Personal information huh?" Discord said.

"Yeah," I snapped, "personal information. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do so get out!"

"Fine!" Discord said. He snapped his claw and disappeared.

Once Discord left I typed a couple of numbers on my keyboard underneath the holographic screen that I just had the call with God Derek on. I was calling The Grand God Council, The Lord God Supreme to be exact. The Lord God Supreme answered the call and gave me a kind smile.

"Ah Leader Felix," said The Lord God Supreme, "I'm going to assume you have the next location that God Henry and God Derek are headed to?"

I nodded. "Yes Your Highness."

When I sent the location over to The Lord God Supreme he gasped, "Well I'll be! Looks like their The Higher is doing a better job than expected. They'll be at the waterfall in no time  at all. Good thing Discord doesn't know."

I smiled and nodded. "I totally agree! Discord would just ruin the surprise."

"Fortunately," said The Lord God Supreme, "only the gods that we've granted access to the waterfall are allowed to attend. That being said, you and Spike of course along with God Derek and God Henry's families will be able to attend. I'm thinking about reconsidering not inviting Discord and maybe invite him after all."

I chuckled, "I'm surprised you're even considering inviting that pest. He did his job half-heartedly, and didn't get God Henry's voice box back. Because of that God Henry had to go without his voice for almost a year! I'd like to take Discord's voice away for double the amount of time and see how he feels about it!"

The Lord God Supreme tapped his chin thoughtfully. "While that is an interesting punishment I'm not sure if that can be done. God Henry's voice was taken away because he wasn't a full fledged demigod yet. After Cora took his voice away she dropped him by a tree and that was the last time he died. His voice didn't come back because it wasn't inside of him yet. Although I have seen The Shadows of the Downward that govern the Downward put shock collars on the gods so they can't protest their punishment. And I have seen them put on a god that's on house arrest and has a lesser punishment."

This idea of punishment piqued my curiosity. "Hmmm, shock collars huh?"

The Lord God Supreme nodded. "Yup, I've also received an alert that God Henry and  God Derek shared their first vision together."

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Any idea what it was about?"

The Lord God Supreme shook his head. "No, I can't see what the visions are about, just that it's happening and how they react to it."

"So how did they react?" I asked.

The Lord god Supreme laughed, "You're not going to believe this, but God Henry thoroughly enjoyed it. God Derek on the other hand was actually afraid of it."

My jaw dropped when I heard that, "Well I'll be damned! God Derek is terrified of something! He's never afraid of anything! Trust me, I know, I mentored him when he was training to become an Agent. He didn't even flinch when he was held up at gunpoint."

The Lord God Supreme smiled. "Well believe it or not, God Derek's afraid of something alright."

"Okay then," I said, "is there any other information I need to give you?"

The Lord God Supreme shook his head. "Nope, everything's set up. Just be at the waterfall and wait for their arrival. I've changed my mind about inviting Discord. He's not invited, I'll let The Grand God Council know. I'm sure they'll be happy with that decision. That's all for now."

Once the call ended, I went into a fit of laughter at the thought of Discord not being invited to the wedding. He'll be disappointed because he claims to be God Henry's godfather. I would feel sorry for Discord, but what's the point? He's a pest anyway.
