My Little Pokémon

The first lesson is never about curing

Equestria. The Fighting Fields. Late afternoon.

Over at the Fighting Fields were many Fighting-Type Pokemon reside, an issue had sprouted. Amidst their usual training to improve themselves, many of the Fighting-Type Pokemon came across an issue.

Due to another day of working hard and with some of them continuing to work hard, some of them felt ill. It wasn't anything too uncommon. Illnesses were common for Pokemon.

"Sawk..." A Sawk groaned, holding his head as he sat down. Many Fighting-Types stopped their training instantly after coming down with this illness. Not all of them. Some were exempt.

"Pancham?" Such as a Pancham, looking at his fellow Fighting-Types and how they all felt dreary. Even Gallade, the most popular Pokemon in the Fighting Fields, couldn't help but get on one knee, breathing in and out.

It was mainly the smaller Fighting Pokemon that were exempt from this issue. The bigger Fighting Pokemon took the brunt f this. But just then, this illness started aggravating the Fighting-Types to the point where they couldn't help but hit something to try and fend off the pain. As if there already weren't enough boulders within this landscape for them to break.

It was clear that this was an illness that would mostly aggravate them instead of putting their lives in jeopardy. However, this brought a bad omen to the Fighting Fields.

Canterlot. The Pokemon School. Day.

Over at the Pokemon School, Apple Bloom had knocked onto the doors of the Pokemon Breeding Room. Ever since she set her sights on her newest goal, being a Pokemon Breeder, went over to the one person who was an expert on this. Brock. Brock opened the doors to see Apple Bloom outside. Plus Applejack who had escorted her here.

"Hey, what's up? Do you two need something?" Brock asked.

"Hey, Brock. My sister's just here to learn something new," said Applejack. "You're all about Pokemon Breeding, right? Apple Bloom here wants to be one too."

"Eeyup! I wanna have a go at being a Pokemon Breeder! Can you teach me, Brock?"

"Oh. Well, come on in then. I haven't had many students come over here to my class. Mostly because I'm somewhere else most of the time. So what made you want to be a Pokemon Breeder suddenly?"

"I wanted to try something new. Didn't know where else I'd go by catching just Grass-Types only. Then Ash reminded me of you and I wanted to try this. So do ya think I can be a Pokemon Breeder?"

"You can. And I'd be glad to teach you." Brock nodded as the sounds of Pokemon could be heard inside of this room. They came from Baby Pokemon. Ranging from Pichu, Teddiursa, Cleffa, Igglybuff and a few others.

"Oh howdy there, little guys!" Applejack said, holding her hooves out to these smaller Pokemon. Apple Bloom did the same as they grabbed a hold of all the Baby Pokemon.

"Good to see you're already working well with some of the Baby Pokemon here," said Brock. "That's one good step to being a Pokemon Breeder."

"Wait, the lesson starts now?" Apple Bloom gasped while being surrounded by a group of Pichu.

"Not quite yet. There's a lot more of them in here. This whole place is like a nursery to them. Only I'm the only caretaker here." Brock chuckled. "It's not as big as the Pokemon House though. But I'm not sure how Fluttershy manages to take care of so many Pokemon at the Pokemon House. Even with Audino by her side."

"Got that right. I could barely handle all those Applin at the start. Good thing you caught them, Apple Bloom." Applejack said to her little sister.

"Where do we start? How about Deerling Forest?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Deerling Forest is always a good starting place for everyone. But right now, there's something else I want to deal with. Over at the Fighting Fields, many of the Fighting-Type Pokemon have come under an illness."

"All of them?" Applejack and Apple Bloom each said.

"All of them. I'm planning on heading over there as soon as I can to treat them al. You can't be a Pokemon Breeder without knowing some healing about Pokemon."

"How come they all got sick? What happened?" wondered Applejack.

"It's something that's not too uncommon with Fighting-Type Pokemon. All their hard work can distract them from many things. Total focus is their key. Unfortunately, that doesn't bode well with injures and illnesses. Whatever may have happened, I want to treat them."

"Wait so...No Pokemon Breeding lessons today?" The filly asked.

"This counts. Helping the Pokemon is also a good place to start. Even if it's not about Pokemon Breeding. Just follow me you and you'll do great." Brock gave a thumbs-up of reassurance as the lesson for Apple Bloom was about to begin.

The Fighting Fields. Afternoon.

Brock, Applejack, Apple Bloom and Sceptile made their way towards the Fighting Fields to go and heal some Pokemon. It would take more than just potions to tend to them.

Luckily, that's why Brock was here. A true expert on taking care of Pokemon. Only beat out by the many Nurse Joy that exist within the Pokemon World as a collective family.

However, whilst heading there, they saw a Pokemon run in this direction. A Pancham. The same Pancham. And from the looks of it, he was running as fast as he could, breathing rapidly. "Pancham! Pancham!"

"A Pancham?" Brock said as the Playful Pokemon cried out at them. Pancham recognized Applejack since she and her friends had been at the Fighting Fields before.

"Cham! Pancham!" He came to a screeching halt, flailing his arms in front of the group.

"What's up, little guy?" Applejack asked.

"Pancham! Pan!" Pancham tried communicating with them to the best of his abilities, hoping that they could understand him. He attempted some charades, making faces of various FIghting-Type Pokemon, but pulling them off poorly.

"Tile. Sceptile." Thankfully, Sceptile could understand him and communicate better with Applejack to pass this message off without issue.

But before he could do that, a mild earthquake occurred, throwing them off balance suddenly. A flock of Tranquill flew off once feeling this tremor pass through. "What was that?!" Apple Bloom screeched as she hopped into Sceptile's arms.

"An earthquake!" Brock replied. "It came from the fields!"

"Cham! Pancham!" Pancham then pointed in the direction of the Fighting Fields, showing them what was up ahead. And up ahead, they saw one of the concrete pillars that belonged to a Conkeldurr fly into the air. They had to check out what was going on as the problem seemed to originate from the Fighting Fields.

Once they arrived, they saw the absolute chaos occurring within the fields. Far beyond what they were expecting as the reason for Pancham's panic made sense. All of the Fighting-Type Pokemon, at least the bigger ones were battling each other. But something was different about it.

The way they battled was unlike their usual ways. Their stances were less refined and their hits were more violent than sharp, honest and polished. The Conkeldurr that had lost his pillars was sent flying by a devasting blow from a Poliwrath. Afterwards, a Hitmonlee came flying in, kicking Poliwrath to the side.

"Uh...What's wrong?" Applejack wondered, seeing nothing wrong here. "They're just doing what they do best. Fight."

"Yeah. Isn't that what happens at the Fighting Fields?" Apple Bloom chimed in.

"You're right. FIghting-Type Pokemon love fighting each other but..." Just as Brock replied, a Crabominable was sent in their direction, threatening to crash into them. "Look out!"

"Sceptile!" Sceptile had pulled them all out of the way with his vines, saving them from being struck by this 396.8 lbs Pokemon. Crabominable tumbled on the ground afterwards, crashing into some rubble.

"Breloom!" The one responsible for that was a Breloom. After kicking Crabominable away, the Mushroom Pokemon looked in the direction of Brock's group, noticing them. "Bre!" Breloom glared at them with a winced eye and with visible veins popping out of its face.

"I don't like that glare..." Applejack uttered with her voice being drowned out by the sounds of Fighting-Type Pokemon aggressively attacking each other.

"Loom!" Then, Breloom attacked, using Mach Punch, moving at blinding speeds as it had the intent of hitting either Brock, Applejack, Apple Bloom, Sceptile or even Pancham depending on where it lands.

"Sceptile!" But standing in its way was Sceptile with Leaf Blade. He had blocked Machamp with his bladed leaves, causing a shockwave to emerge with some sparks flying. "Scep...Tile!" Sceptile had then pushed Breloom away by pushing his bladed arms forward, sending the Mushroom Pokemon far back.

"Bre!" Breloom had also taken damage from that, tumbling on the ground afterwards.

"What was that all about?!" Apple Bloom shouted whilst hiding behind Applejack for safety.

"Just as I thought," Brock said to himself before noticing how a few more Pokemon had their eyes on him and the others. "Quick! Find a place to hide!"

"Pancham!" Pancham knew of a place. He pointed to the south, guiding Brock and the others that way before the other Fighting-Types could pursue them. But they were occupied with other Fighting-Type Pokemon to do so.

The best place to hide, according to Pancham, was a crater that also led to a ditch. Most likely made by any of the Fighting-Type Pokemon as they were strong enough to do so. They jumped down the crater, just narrowingly evading the sight of a Heracross.

They then went to the ditch that had a pathway that was rather extensive, most likely made by a Pokemon that knew Dig. There, they would be safe for the time being as Pancham chose a good spot to be in.

"That was a close one. Nice save there, Sceptile." Applejack said as they continued through the ditch. "But what was up with them all of a sudden?"

"The way their battling isn't their usual style," Brock replied. "Fighting-Type Pokemon don't ever battle like that. It must have something to do with the illness."

"But they don't look ill. But their faces were kinda veiny..." Apple Bloom shook her head as they all stopped walking. Just as they stopped, they noticed more Fighting-Type Pokemon down here.

But it was instead the smaller Pokemon, similar to Pancham. They were all hiding down here in this ditch, terrified of the events happening up there. Even though they all have spun, they would rather not deal with violent Fighting-Type Pokemon who battle aggressively.

Even a group of Primeape, a Pokemon that arguably has greater anger than them, was down here. It said something when a Pokemon species known for being angry are hiding from angry Pokemon.

"You're all down here because you're scared, aren't you?" Brock said to the Pokemon as they all nodded. "That makes sense. Something like that can't be safe around."

"So what's wrong with them? How come they're acting like this?" Applejack asked.

"It's an illness that exists and affects just Fighting-Type Pokemon. You see, Fighting-Type Pokemon are passionate about battling. So passionate that it's mostly all that's on their mind and nothing else. It's their greatest strength no doubt. But it can also become their greatest weakness. Since they're so focused on it, illnesses tend to bypass them and creep up when they least expect it. It's something that happens to Fighting-Types all the time. But they're harmless to them a majority of the time."

"So what about this illness?" Apple Bloom questioned, climbing onto Sceptile's shoulder.

"This illness strikes FIghting-Types when they overwork, giving them a sharp pain that makes it feel like their bodies have pushed their limits. And to a Fighting-Type, the only way to stave it off is to battle. But as a result, the pain is irritating to the point where their refined styles are altered into something more savage and unrelenting."

"That's horrible!" Apple Bloom gasped.

"It is. And what's worse, it goes against everything a Fighting-Type Pokemon stands for. Pushing themselves to their absolute best. But usually, it never happens in one big area. There aren't many Fighting-Type only areas in the world and this is the biggest one that I know about. Pokemon Trainers don't face this issue. Not even Fighting-Type Gym Leaders. So I wasn't expecting multiple of them."

"How do we stop it then? There a cure?" Applejack stepped forward.

"Yes. And it requires some berries to make that magic happen. A Chople Berry and a Kee Berry. We can mix them up to make a drink that eliminates the pain. And as a Pokemon Breeder plus some Pokemon Doctor experience, I've been trained to make all sorts of juices that help different Pokemon."

"That's it? Thought it'd be harder." Applejack pondered. "Oh well. If it's simple, that works for us. Don't you worry, ya'll. We'll have your seniors acting like their old selves again." She then looked at the smaller Fighting-Type Pokemon and the Primeape.

"There's a bit more to it but it won't take long. I'll explain the rest when making it. But it won't be easy giving it to the Fighting-Type Pokemon. Their numbers and how aggressive they are will make it difficult to even reach them." Brock pondered.

"Leave that to me." Applejack offered to do something about the abundance of Fighting-Types. "My family knows a thing or two dealing with large numbers. It'll be like herding a bunch of angry cows. That can..break our bones."

"I can trust you with that. Just be careful. I'll make the juice. Apple Bloom. You can help out too. This'll be your next step as a Pokemon Breeder. And I guess a part-time doctor too."

"Aye, sir!"

"Oh. And since you're gonna head out there, you'll need some backup." Brock reached into his back, taking out some of his Poke Balls. "Come on out!" He then threw them as a few of his Pokemon had emerged.

"Forretress!"

"Crobat!"

"Sudowoodo!"

"Ludicolo!"

"You four. I need you to help Applejack deal with all of the Fighting-Type Pokemon up there." Brock ordered, pointing upwards. "Apple Bloom and I will be making some juice for them in the meanwhile."

"Sudo!" Sudowoodo saluted as the others would do just that, following Applejack's lead. Brock and Apple Bloom were then ready to make the juice as Applejack, Sceptile and Brock's Pokemon made their way towards the surface.

And following them would be Pancham, who felt gutsy enough to help. He was certainly braver than the rest of the Pokemon down here.

Arriving at the surface was Applejack's group. But they weren't there to combat the Fighting-Type per se. Keeping them in one spot was the approach. But if it came down to it, then a battle would have to take place. And the way to draw them in was by issuing a challenge.

Not a challenge to battle. Rather, showing them something that was potentially a larger than life force that any Fighting-Type would want to challenge. And thankfully, Sceptile was the answer to that.

"They can't resist battling against the toughest. So how about we make 'em come after us when they see you." Applejack then adjusted her hat as the Mega Stone hairpin sparkled in the sunlight. She was ready t use it, immediately tapping on the hairpin. "Mega Evolve!"

"Scep...Tile!" Sceptile cried out as the energies from Mega Evolution flowed out of his and Applejack's keystone. They wrapped around him, transforming his body into his advanced form. Bursting out of the energies was Mega Sceptile. "Sceptile!"

"Pancham...!" Pancham gawked at the transformation but Sudowoodo and the others didn't. Brock owned a Mega Steelix after all so they were used to this.

"Hey!" Applejack then shouted, standing in front of Sceptile. She had then grabbed the attention of most of the Fighting-Type Pokemon. "If you're looking for a challenge, look no further than this guy right here!"

"Tile!" To showcase his power, Sceptile roared, exuding the draconic energy from his body to convince the Fighting-Types that he was the biggest challenge. His roar echoed through the area as that was enough to do the trick.

"Hit...Hitmonchan!" They were provoked by Sceptile, wanting to attack him. The Fighting-Types immediately pursued the Forest Pokemon to further exude their frustration.

And this further worked with Applejack's plan. Since they wanted to challenge Sceptile, they started shoving and attacking each other to try and get to the Forest Pokemon first.

"Worked like a charm! They'll be too weak to get us! Ya'll go ahead and make some traps for them! Come on!" Applejack exclaimed as she hopped onto Sceptile's back. Sceptile then made a run for it, acting as the catalyst for the Fighting-Type Pokemon to focus on one thing.

As for Brock's Pokemon. they would set the traps for the Fighting-Types to run into.

Meanwhile, just near the crater, Brock and Apple Bloom were making the juice to cure this illness. Brock always carried berries as a Pokemon Breeder and with his experience as a Pokemon Doctor. The two berries were being mashed together to make a curing combo.

Apple Bloom contributed by smashing the berries onto the pot. But it wouldn't be just the berries that were needed. There was some more.

"Now for the other steps. What we need is something charming that can soothe their anger. Like Fairy-Type magic or a Roseli Berry. That berry is hard to find but Fairy-Type magic, not so much."

"I got that covered!" Apple Bloom had the solution as she took out a Poke Ball. She had many Grass-Types and one of them could add to the solution as she threw the Poke Ball. "Come out, Skiploom!"

"Skiploom!"

"Use Fairy Wind!"

"Skip-Skip!" The Cottonweed Pokemon sprinkled some Fairy magic into the pot from its bloom. Just what they needed.

"Good job, Apple Bloom. Skiploom. Next, we need some plants. Anything will do and it won't be anything special. But that's gonna require us going out into-"

"I got it!" But Apple Bloom also had an answer to that via another Pokemon. Instead of going outside to grab some leaves from trees or weeds from the ground, a Pokemon would give some. A few of them. Out of the next Poke Ball came a Sunkern, Oddish and Cherrim. And to an extent Skiploom since it was already out.

"Sunkern!"

"Oddish!"

"Cherrim!"

"Uh...Thanks." Brock said, surprised that Apple Bloom had another solution that instantly. Afterwards, the Pokemon gave up some of the plants that were a part of their bodies. But thankfully, they could regrow under the sun. "How many Grass-Types do you have, Apple Bloom?"

"A lot. I caught a lot of them." She said with an innocent grin. "But it ain't all of them."

"You've got enough to be a Grass-Type Gym Leader, ya know?" Brock chuckled. "But you don't want to be that, do you?" And in response to Brock, Apple Bloom shook her head.

Once they added everything, the juice was ready. Brock had some bottles. Not many. Just three. But those three would have to do as he scooped the juice into the bottles, filling them up.

"Done and done!" Brock announced, raising the juice into the air as even the other Pokemon applauded this success. "Now, here comes the real challenge. Getting them all to drink it. Let's hope your sister's doing-"

Interrupted and almost throwing everyone off balance, Brock and the others felt something. It wasn't' an earthquake like before but it certainly shook the area. And the Pokemon responsible for this was a Heracross that was digging through the ditch aggressively.

"Another earthquake?!" Apple Bloom gulped, latching onto Brock's leg.

"No. Someone's using Dig from what I can tell. Looks like it's not safe to be down here. Everyone out!" Brock ordered for them all to leave the ditch. But he would lead them.

"What about the pot, Brock?!"

"Leave that to Chansey!" Brock then sent out one of his Pokemon to handle this. His unusually strong Chansey.

"Chansey!" Before she became a Chansey, she was a Happiny. A Happiny that had more strength than the average Happiny, able to lift heavy objects and Pokemon without an issue plus also being a rival to Togepi. So she was perfect for this. "Chan!"

Chansey lifted the pot with just one arm, showing her cosmic-like strength as she followed everyone to immediately leave the ditch. As for Heracross, it was rapidly moving across the ditch, shaking the area constantly.

With breakneck speeds, the Single Horn Pokemon had shown up to this area, bursting through the walls of the ditch. Immediately, it had spotted Brock's group. Something new for it to hit to try and exude the pain it was feeling. "Cross! Heracross!"

"It's already here, Brock!"

"Get behind me! This is our chance." Brock said as he stopped running. Everyone else ran past Brock, standing behind him for safety. Heracross them stomped its foot with its horn twitching violently. Apple Bloom and the rest of the Pokemon got close to each other, reasonably afraid of a Pokemon as powerful as Heracross.

"Heracross...!" Heracross roared before flying towards Brock via Aerial Ace, moving at confounding speeds.

"Now! Chansey, use Secret Power!"

"Chan...Sey!" Once Heracross got close enough, Chansey waved her arms and it releases a pink wave from her body all around her. Since she was underground, the effects of Secret Power caused flinching to occur.

The wave struck Heracross, causing the Bug-Fighting-Type to flinch. Once the flinch came through, Brock could move in and use the juice on Heracross.

"H-Hera!" Heracross staggered from the flinch, opening its mouth with a bellow. Just what Brock wanted.

"Now's my chance!" Once its mouth was open, Brock had thrust the bottle forward, causing some of the juice to fly out. Into Heracross's mouth, it went, moving through its throat.

Heracross's organs took a moment to process this and similar to a leaf being carried by the wind, the pain within Heracross had subsided once the juice kicked in. "C-Cross?" Although, Heracross felt woozy afterwards. On the bright side, his anger had fled, removing the sharp pain as the Single Horn Pokemon was a bit befuddled.

"There." Brock approached Heracross. "You should be feeling a lot better now, right, Heracross?"

"Heracross..." It nodded in response.

"That quick? That juice is amazing!" Apple Bloom and the others gawked.

"There's still a few more we'll have to give the juice to. If we head up to the surface, Chansey's Secret Power combined with the grass will put a sleep effect. But that's still so many Pokemon to deal with it."

"My sister's got it handled though. She can do it. I know she can!"

"I don't doubt it one bit. But extra help is always nice. Heracross. Can you help us, maybe?"

"Heracross!"

Meanwhile, Applejack's plan was going on well. All of the Fighting-Types wanted a piece of Sceptile since he issued a challenge with all of them. And to try and reach Sceptile, all of the Fighting-Types were battling each other. The goal was to wear them down.

"Throh!" A Throh had thrown a Hitmontop away with its mighty hands before running towards Sceptile, only to be interrupted by a throw from someone else. A Gurdurr had thrown its steel beams at Thro's head, causing it to stagger. "Throh!"

"Gurdurr!" Gurdurr then jumped into the air without having its steel beams at its disposal right now. But both Throh and Gurdurr were taken out by Hitomchan's Vacuum Wave.

At the same time, Brock's Pokemon were forming traps for the opposing Pokemon to run into. Sceptile made sure to get extra close to these traps for the bait.

"Passimian!" Three Passimian had approached Sceptile, ready to attack him simultaneously while also shoving each other. But once they got close, Sceptile used his vines to swing somewhere else, causing the Passimian to crash into the trap. And they had found themselves inside a dirt trap made by Sudowoodo, Forretress and Ludicolo's Rock and Water-Type moves.

Crobat drew the attention of other Fighting-Types in Sceptile's directions by Screech to break their focus for a moment. Mostly every trap was just a trap made out of hard dirt. And it worked effectively.

The FIghting-Types were too aggravated and mad to truly see them coming, making this plan work out as Applejack witnessed the Pokemon crash into the traps. Pancham applauded the good work as he soon noticed how his idol Pangoro was within the traps as well.

"Looks good. We've still got a lot more," said Applejack. But just as she was ready to lure the rest of them in with Sceptile, the Grass-Dragon-Type sensed someone approaching from the side.

"Tile!" Sceptile's eyes glared as he had used Leaf Blade. And on time too. Because the Pokemon that came to attack them was the most popular Pokemon in the Fighting Fields. Gallade.

"Gallade!"

"Gallade?!" Applejack gasped. "Great..." This was the one Pokemon she was hoping wouldn't be affected. But unfortunately, he was and he wanted a piece of Sceptile.

And after his blade clashed with Sceptile's, Gallade managed to push him back as well, winning the clash. Sceptile slid on the ground afterwards. "Lade!"

"Battling Gallade ain't what I had in mind right now! But now that's here..."

"Gallade-Lade!" Gallade rushed in, using Night Slash to attack.

"Got no choice! Sceptile, Leaf Blade!"

"Sceptile!" There was no other choice. Gallade was a tough one to stop. That went for some of the other Pokemon. Even the ones in the traps. Despite how hard it may be, the Fighting-Types had the strength to potentially break out over time.

Sceptile and Gallade clashed their blades once more, going back and forth with sparks flying about. Even with Mega Evolution, Gallade was superior when it came to pure strength. And at the same time, Sawk and a few others were starting to break free of their traps.

"Pangoro!" Pangoro's first burst out of the trap with his muscles pulsating. Pancham took a notice to notice his inspiration almost breaking free along with a few others. Sawk flexed his muscles with Bulk Up, shattering parts of the trap as Gallade knocked Sceptile way.

"S-Scep!"

"Gallade!" Gallade had then used Aerial Ace, moving rapidly and striking Sceptile's face right after he had been pushed away. Pancham tried doing something. So to contribute, he had used Tackle.

"Hey!" But Applejack quickly pulled him away. Right when Gallade reacted to his movements and had almost struck him with Aerial Ace.

"C-Cham!"

"Don't get too reckless there, pal! Sceptile, Frenzy Plant!"

"Scep...Tile!" Up close, it was clear that Sceptile was the winner of that. But a farther distance might be a different story. Sceptile placed his hands on the ground as gigantic plants erupted from below, moving about in a frenzy.

"Poli!" Poliwrath was the first to break free, only for Forretress, Ludicolo and Sudowoodo to restrain it once more. They were aiming to keep the Pokemon in the traps by using the same moves they used to make them.

"G-Gall!" Gallade put his arms up, blocking the plants. He tried slicing them in half but he only got so far with plants this abundant. Thus, Gallade had been knocked back. But Gallade instantly recovered, still yearning for more.

However, more Fighting-Types were showing up, catching up with Applejack and the others as Sudowoodo and the others could definitely not hold them all since they were occupied with keeping the already restrained ones in check.

"More of 'em!" Applejack gawked at this intimidating size. She then noticed how some of them were approaching from behind instead of up ahead. A Crabralwer came flying in, ready to attack Applejack without anyone watching as its eyes glistened.

"Cham? Pancham!" Pancham noticed this, hopping out of Applejack's grasps and using Arm Thrust. "Pan!"

"Cra...Brawl!" But that did not matter as Pancham was knocked out of the sky by a swift and heavy Crabhammer from the Boxing Pokemon.

"P-Pancham!" He cried out as Applejack caught him again.

"Dangnabbit...!" Applejack growled, seeing how the Fighting-Type were closing the gap this quickly. Sceptile had used Dragon Pulse, trying to keep Gallade away. Gallade sliced the attack in half, going for a Psycho Cut. Sceptile quickly changed to Thunder Punch, clashing once more with Gallade.

Applejack also had the goal of keeping Pancham out of harm's way. Crobat saved them both from Crabrawler, using Sonic Boom to blow it away.

"Sis! Hey sis!" Just then, arriving to help was Apple Bloom and the others. Plus there was extra help in the form of Heracross.

Speaking of Heracross, the Single Horn Pokemon had also saved Applejack and Pancham from a sneak-attacking Breloom, whacking it aside.

"Oh! You've kept all of them restrained?!" Brock marvelled.

"Not for long! They could break free any second! And this Gallade ain't helping at all!"

"Gallade!" Gallade butted heads with Sceptile as they seemed evenly matched from the looks of it. This was the top Pokemon in the Fighting Fields after all. "Gal...!"

"Scep...!"

"Let's at least deal with the restrained ones. Secret Power!"

"Chansey!" Once more, Chansey waved her arms to release a pink wave from her body. And this time, it interacted with the grass. And the effects turned out to be Sleep. It wasn't enough to stop them all but it could catch those that weren't moving.

And it did so successfully. Except for Gallade, who had jumped back, avoiding Secret Power. As for the Pokemon, they had been put to sleep. But the main obstacle were the rest of the Fighting-Types and Gallade.

"Gallade!" Gallade went to attack Sceptile once more. This time, there was someone to combat him as well. Heracross. Heracross came flying in from the side, using its horn against Gallade. "Lade?!" Gallade had just spotted it, using his blade to block the horn.

"Thanks, Heracross!" But that allowed for Applejack to have a Sceptile attack. Gallade would have trouble with two Pokemon. Especially with one of them being a Mega Evolved Pokemon. "Leaf Blade!"

"Sceptile!" Sceptile rushed in, joining Heracross as Gallade used its other arm to block the blade. Even with two Pokemon, Gallade could still hold his own. He was starting to push back.

"Keep him there you two!" Brock held out another bottle, waiting for Gallade to open his mouth. "Just need that mouth to get open as soon as we can. Secret Power's also risky here with how erratic Gallade's moving I could end up hitting Sceptile and Heracross as well."

"I got something for that." Applejack stepped forward. "Pancham, Can you use that leaf in your mouth?"

"Cham?"

"Tickle him." She ordered. The best thing to do in this situation. If there was anything that could get Gallade or any Pokemon to break their focus it was ticking.

"Pan-Pan!" Pancham saluted as it could be done. The one time the leaf could come of great use instead of being something to show off with. Pancham approached Gallade while he was still in a clash with Sceptile and Heracross. "Pancham!"

"Gal?" Gallade noticed Pancham approaching as the Playful Pokemon jumped onto Sceptile's back. He then ran on Sceptile's arms before taking out the leaf.

Once up in Gallade's face, Pancham had used his leaf, ticking Gallade's face. And, of course, tickling proved to be an always-effective method on anything and anyone. Except for Steel-Types. Once the leaf started moving, Gallade's facial expression shifted.

"G-G-Gallade...!" Gallade tried focusing but even that was impossible before this simple action. With his focus being diminished, Sceptile and Heracross grabbed his arms to keep him still.

"Great job, Pancham! Here goes!" Brock could finally use the rest of the juice. He approached the laughing Gallade who would not break free from this distracting, pouring the juice into his backing mouth.

"Chansey!" Chansey brought the pot over towards the sleeping Pokemon. She ended up splashing some of it into their open mouths. It was a good thing that sleeping means that most of the time, the mouth will be open. And this was the case for this as well.

"G-Gallade..." The juice went through Gallade's mouth as he froze for a second. Afterwards, his pain subsided. Gallade no longer felt it as his eyes widened, Sceptile and Heracross then let him go. "Gallade?"

"Yes!" Brock pumped his fist as the rest of the Pokemon had been cured thanks to Chansey's splashing. But they were asleep to notice this.

Once recovered, Gallade turned to face the rest of the incoming Fighting-Type Pokemon that were still frustrated. Thankfully, he had allies to help put a stop to them.

"Grab 'em Sceptile! Use Frenzy Plant!"

"Tile!" Sceptile summoned the rots of Frenzy Plants once more, using them to restrain this time. Once they grabbed some of the Pokemon, that allowed for Gallade and Heracross to move in. Chansey carried the pot in their direction as they made this a team effort.

15 minutes later.

And it was a successful team effort. Thanks to Sceptile's ridiculous abundance of plants, Chansey's divine strength plus Secret Power and the aid of a few other Fighting-Type Pokemon, they managed to cure them all without wasting any juice. This would've been harder if Chansey never had her unusual strength in the first place.

"And the last one..." Brock gave the last juice to a Hariyama, curing it. "There. All done. That's every Pokemon here cured of it."

"Phew..." Applejack sighed, sitting down. "Glad that didn't take too long."

"Is everyone feeling better?" Brock asked as all of the Pokemon cried out in response to his question. Now they were thanks to Brock and his group. "That's good. Sorry that you had to go through that. That illness ruins your drive to work hard, doesn't it? But the next time this happens, just know that I'll be there. And so will she."

"Me?" Apple Bloom noticed how Brock was looking at her.

"Mhm. You helped make the juice after all. While you're still a rookie Pokemon Breeder, one in training, you've already succeeded in knowing how to help certain Pokemon. Well done."

"Yes! I did it! First try!" Apple Bloom jumped for joy, grabbing Gallade and shaking him out of excitement.

"G-Gallade!"

"I think I've got myself an apprentice now. Make sure you attend my classes from now on if you want to improve. But you don't have to do it daily. Your own free time works better." Brock suggested.

"Okay! I will!"

"Pancham! Pan!" Pancham ran over, thanking them for helping save the Fighting Fields from potential destruction. Or even worse. It could've continued towards the rest of Equestria.

"No problem, little guy." Applejack understood him that time. "Next time we see you, just oh...don't get too ahead of yourself, alright?"

"Pancham!"

"The day's still young. How about one more lesson, Apple Bloom before I head somewhere else? Sound good?"

"Eeyup!"

In the midst of Apple Bloom's training to become a Pokemon Breeder, the group had been caught up in a small problem at the Fighting Fields. But thanks to Brock's expertise and the assistance of some Pokemon, this problem had been dealt with. Certainly not the first thing Apple Bloom was expecting for her lesson on being a Pokemon Breeder. But after this, she was looking forward to the rest with Brock as her mentor as the journey continues.
