//------------------------------// // Blueblood's Folly, Cadence's Fury // Story: The power of love is a dangerous thing // by xombiekilla //------------------------------// It was an ordinary afternoon at Canterlot, and like every afternoon on the dot, it was time for Blueblood's daily spa visit. "They had better show up and on time, too. Hmph. Next time this happens, I may end up handing a few pink slips to them." Also, like each afternoon, Blueblood was never satisfied with his daily service. The staff filed in a single line, with all the cleansing paraphernalia and scented bath salts to tend to Blueblood's beck and call. This was the life for him, he thought as he took a dip into the hot spa spring water and sighed contentment. There wasn't anything today that could spoil his day. "Is this spa open?" A tender voice had asked, which raised Blueblood's right ear and his ire. Who dares think they can move on in here in what's meant to be his spa and his time, too? "No! The spa is closed. It's my time right now, so whoever you are, beat it!" He looked up to see Princess Cadence, shot straight up, and then changed his attitude, "P-Princess Cadence. Why, it's a pleasure to see you here. If you want to enjoy the spa, of course, it's open." "Thank you, Blueblood. That's nice of you to do for us." "Wait a minute, us?" "Yup. Shining, myself and Flurry Heart." "Y-Yes. That's fine. Please relax and enjoy, Princess." Everything was still okay. This was just a minor inconvenience for Blueblood. Shining went in for a dip but wasn't concerned about Blueblood. He wouldn't let this ruin his day of well-deserved pampering, so he ignored them. He felt his mane being tugged at. Who dares to do this to him? With an irritated huff, he saw Flurry Heart trying to play with him. "No, Flurry, go play with your mom, not me." The mane tugging continued... "Excuse me, Cadence. But can you come and get Flurry over here? I'm trying to enjoy myself." "I'm sorry about that. Come on, Flurry. Come to Mama." Flurry giggled as she flew right into Cadence's arms, as Cadence snuggled her. Blueblood could finally relax. He sunk back into the hot spring water and then had one of the castle staff apply some scented oil on his body while massaging his shoulders. After roughly several minutes, the tugging came back... "What?! You're kidding me. Princess Cadence. I think she's doing it again." "Flurry Heart. I turned my back for five minutes to get you some ice cream, and you returned to antagonize Blueblood. Don't do that, please." Flurry giggled as she grabbed her frozen treat with her mommy and ate her ice cream. "Spare the rod, spoil the child, I swear," Blueblood mumbled as Cadence's ears perked up at the chiding remark. "Excuse me? Did you say something?" "No. Nothing at all. It's fine; don't let me bother you, Princess." "Oh. Okay then. Come on, Flurry, count the letters and numbers with me." She was reading a funny book to Flurry as she tickled her belly, making her laugh. It's just another tiny inconvenience for Blueblood. He's dealt with worse before. Finally sinking back into the spa water, he began to dose off. Once again, after several minutes, the tugging came back... "Oh, for the love of all that is holy in Equestria. Come here, you little brat." Blueblood grabbed Flurry by her arm, lifted her over his knee, and then spanked her on her butt, making her squeal and cry. Cadence returned with some more games for Flurry and saw the horrific sight. Just then, a scathing and vicious aura reverberated throughout the spa room. For once in Blueblood's life, he truly felt genuinely terrified. "Blueblood. Put Flurry Heart down, now!" He obeyed, feeling too terrified to talk back, let alone keep spanking her, "Shining. Take Flurry with you, okay, Honey?" "Yes, dear." Shining grabbed and snuggled a still teary-eyed Flurry as he ran out as fast as possible. Cadence then slowly approached Blueblood with as much cuddliness as a serrated porcupine. Her body began to gradually bulk up with aggressive love magic as she grew a couple more feet in height. Her arms, body, and legs became chiseled and muscled. Her eyes were a blank white and full of mindless fury towards Blueblood. And pink static even sparked off of her body. "Please, we can talk about this, can't we?" Her giant hand grabbed his face as he screamed in panic at being pulled towards the hulking monster Cadence. "Blueblood! You made a huge mistake. Now, you'll have a terrible time with me." Blueblood was shaking as he fell to his knees and pleaded for mercy. The wall outside of the spa busted open as Blueblood's body was sent flying right through it. "Please.. I'll pay you whatever you want. I'll do anything.. please have mercy." Cadence then tackled Blueblood as she ran him through the wall behind him and into the dining room; she grabbed his face again and slid his body across the long table while both Celestia and Luna watched in shock and mild amusement, sitting at their seats. "Sister. What was that?" "That was Cadence, Luna, and she was unhappy with Blueblood." "I'm sadder that Blueblood ruined my dinner." Luna lamented the ruined salad as it was now all over the floor, whereas Celestia used her magic to lift her plate before his body slid into her meal. Cadence then threw Blueblood's screaming body off the table and through the double doors that were the entrance to the dining hall. Blueblood then quickly stood up and ran as fast as his legs could carry him as he felt her steamy breath behind him. She was chasing him down like a raging steamtrain. "No... I'll never do it again. I swear. You h-have my oath as an n-noble... Aaeeiii?!" He ducked under her punch as her fist grazed his mane and cut some of the hairs at the top, making him terrified. "When I catch you, Blueblood, and I will. I'll skin you alive." She reached out to grab him as he jumped over her hand and then shifted his body to land back on the ground with a precarious balance. She tried again, and he ducked under her reach as he kept moving for dear life. "You're only delaying the inevitable, Blueblood!" "I-I'm nearly outside.. just a little more." Blueblood then reached outside of the castle towards the Canterlot Gardens. He ran up to a tall oak tree planted into the ground, franticly climbing to escape Cadence. All she did was glare up at him as he reached its top. "Oh my.. that training for extra cardio paid off." "Only a coward hides above their enemy." "Oh, come on. I'm no match for you, and you know it." She glared at him smugly as she grabbed the sides of the oak tree and then began pulling it down to bury the entire tree, making Blueblood scream in terror. "If you run, I'll chase you again, Blueblood. I never tire like this." "It's a chance I'm willing to take, honestly." "Go right ahead then. I dare you." With a whiny yelp, Blueblood leaped from the tree to run as Cadence retook chase, leaving the partially buried oak tree to look more like a short pine than a tall tree. He ran through the gardens, surprising the maids and a few guards who did not want to intervene as they didn't have a death wish. Blueblood then saw what could be his last saving grace. "T-Twilight Sparkle. I am so glad to see you. You have to help me, please." While enjoying her afternoon stroll through the gardens, Twilight saw the rampaging Cadence and glared at Blueblood. "No, Blueblood, Cadence only gets that mad if you have done something to wound her badly. I'm staying out of this. You're on your own." Twilight flew away, and Blueblood's last hope of salvation was as Cadence approached him. "You're out of options, Blueblood. Just give up and accept the inevitable." Cadence was trying to corner him. Blueblood was so focused on running away that he failed to notice this. "Now I've got you, you little bastard." Her fist moved towards his face; the killing intent was unbelievably strong. 句ヨ丹卞廾 DEATH "Please, for the love of Celestia, I'm sorry.." Her fist connected with his face as Cadence punched him repeatedly; her fists were gradually getting faster and faster, swifter and more accurate, more ferocious, and more ballistic. Blueblood was unable to move away from her brutal barrage of pink fury. Her last fist slammed him into the wall, making small cracks. He looked up at her in fear, his body badly bruised and blood trailing down his nose and mouth. She grabbed and picked him up; then, she glared at him. "You will apologize to Flurry Heart; then you'll make it right with her." "Yes, yes. I will. I swear I'll do whatever it takes to make it right." After that, her body shrunk back to normal, and her muscles deformed back to normal. Much to Blueblood's relief, she didn't look like a titanic brute anymore. "Good. Now come with me, please. We'll start with your apology, and then you'll do community service to help with her upcoming birthday party. And believe me, if you try to run, I'll know." "Y-Yes, ma'am." He followed Cadence back into the castle as he returned to the spa room, where Shining and Flurry decided to stay. When she saw Blueblood, she cringed in fear and pushed herself into Shining's arms. "It's okay, Flurry, honey. Blueblood here needs to say something to you, right?" She glared at him briefly as if to cue him in. "I-I'm sorry for spanking you. I'm so sorry. I'll do whatever it takes to make it right with you." Flurry, who was giggling and very much satisfied with his change of attitude, relaxed in Shining's arms. "I hereby volunteer to make your birthday party the best you'll ever have. I promise." "Isn't that nice of him, Flurry, dear? He's so thoughtful, isn't he?" She giggled in agreement as they all left the spa room to reserve a new space for her party. "A-Ahh.. ahhh.. s-seven-hundred bits..." Blueblood was crying inside. His shocked expression at seeing the cost of everything to the Canterlot Ballroom transformed into what could only be described as a deluxe amusement park complex that Flurry herself was having a blast with. "T-This will stay with me for a long time... a very long time." "I just wanted to thank you for being true to your word, Blueblood. I hope you've learned a valuable lesson here. Never mess with a mother's child." "Yes, yes. I've learned never to do anything of that sort ever again." Blueblood was terrified of even being near Cadence after what had just happened. If she ever asked him to do anything, he would undoubtedly agree and do it immediately—much to Cadence's satisfaction. Blueblood has learned a precious lesson that day, one that he'll never forget... ever.
