//------------------------------// // Chapter 11: The Document // Story: Yugioh: Reunion // by ShootingStar25 //------------------------------// The duel was over as a light began to shine. From the light emerged Isaac's newest monster, Holy Knight Marianne. The girl now found herself in the Spirit World and inside the palace that housed Isaac's monsters in his deck. She stood in front of a door that materialized in front of her, as she was hesitant. She mustered up some courage as she opened it and entered. She was welcomed to another set of doors as there were three. Marianne looked at the names on the doors as each one belonged to one of Isaac's other pendulum hybrid monsters. A fourth door now appeared as it had her name on it. She then approached it and entered. Inside was a bed and a window as well as lots of space. The girl looked around as it was empty, so she decided to fill it. It took a while, but the girl had finally finished decorating her room. At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Marianne opened it as standing there was Mahad. "Ms. Mariannne." "Oh, uh... you're..." "Mahad." "Right, our master's partner." said the girl as she was comfortable around the man. "Yes, now have you taken the time for your accommodations?" asked Mahad. "Well, I filled it with things that I love," said the young girl looking at her room. "Of course, all of our comrades have their room in the palace and can design how they like it," stated Mahad. "Now then, follow me." Mahad now began to levitate as did Marianne, who followed her comrade. "Where are we going?" asked the girl. "To meet the others. It's tradition to hold a gathering when our master gains a new comrade," said Mahad as he saw that got the girl to be a bit scared about meeting new people. "You have nothing to worry about; we are all friends here." Mahad's response got the girl to calm down as they soon approached a set of twin doors. The pair landed as they prepared to enter. From the other side, there were sounds of music and talking. Marianne hid behind Mahad as she peaked her head out as they entered. Inside were all of Isaac's monsters and magicians as they were talking and socializing. Even Isaac's Black Robe Mentalist participated in the social event despite her goth attitude. Though she just stayed in the corner to avoid any unwanted attention. All of Isaac's monsters then saw Mahad. Melody stopped the music as she saw their leader. "Everyone," stated Mahad as he cleared his throat. "Please welcome the latest addition to our master's deck." He then stepped to the side to allow the others to see Marianne. The girl was still embarrassed as all eyes were on her. She waved as everyone returned the gesture. Mahad then gave the cue as everybody continued the small gathering. He then told the girl to join in as she slowly made her towards the tables of refreshments and food. Marianne approached the table and she saw three other individuals who looked at her. They talked and then all made their way towards the girl as they were Isaac's pendulum hybrids. "Uh, hi?" said the girl, a bit nervous. "So you're the latest of our group," said Lychinus Enchanter. "Pleased to meet you, laddie." "Nice to finally have another girl in this group," said Solis Witch as the two older magicians shook the hand of the girl. "Thanks," said Marianne as she saw Isaac's Ventus Oraculum. The boy was staring at the girl who was his age as he did admit, she was rather stunning. "Hey there," said the boy waving a bit awkwardly. "Hey," giggled Marianne at how the boy acted. "Sorry, hope I didn't make you feel awkward." chuckled the boy while rubbing his neck. "I'm Ventus. But you can call me Ven." "Marianne." The four of them began to talk as they asked her how she felt in her new home. Marianne responded that she was glad to be a part of Isaac's deck. After a while, the other monsters all conversed with the girl. She then met Isaac's other signature magician. "So you're Isaac's latest girl?" asked Mana. "Uhm,... yes?" said Marianne as she didn't know how to answer that question. "Mana." "M-Marianne." "Answer me this: Is Isaac cute?" "W-What?" said Marianne. "When you saw him, did you think our master was cute?" asked Mana, fishing for details. "Uhm, well... I mean... he... he is... rather cute..." said the girl thinking about her master. "Then we're gonna be best friends!" said Mana hugging the girl. "Now, we need to find out where you rank when it comes to Isaac's other girls?" "What do you mean?" asked Marianne. "Stick with me, girlfriend, and I guarantee you'll have a top spot." smiled Mana as Marianne also returned the gesture. "Just know, I'm Isaac's first and most important girl," stated Mana asserting her domain when it came to the hierarchy of Isaac's little harem of his female spellcasters. "I understand," said Marianne. "MANA!!" shouted Mahad as he saw that his student was trying to use her mischievous ways to influence the girl of pure heart. It was the next day as Isaac had finished gathering his stuff. He checked out of his beach house as he thanked the receptionist. He exited the place as he saw Sunset waiting for him. The pair now began to walk towards the car that was going to take the boy to the airport. "Thanks for a nice hangout, boy toy," stated Sunset. "I forgot what it was like to have you all to myself." "Glad you enjoyed it," snickered the boy. "You gonna stay a bit longer?" "Of course, I'm on vacation," said Sunset. "Hey, good luck in your duel. I'll be watching." Sunset then leaned in and kiss Isaac as the pair wrapped their arms around each other, and they let out a moan in each other's mouths. "See ya, Sunny." "So long, Isaac." The World Champ then entered the back of the cab. The driver turned on the engine as the vehicle drove down the road. Isaac rolled down his window as he waved at his bacon-haired girl, to which she also did until he was out of sight. After a while, the car stopped at the airport. Isaac thanked the driver and tipped her as he entered the place. He then got his ticket and soon boarded his flight. The boy took his seat and looked out of the window. He pulled out his phone as he looked at one picture. It was a picture of the girls, but some of the monsters from their decks were also present. It was the final photo before their graduation day as they wanted to have one last memory of each other before they went their separate ways. It brought a smile to the boy as he saw the piece of paper in front of him. He grabbed it and read it one last time. Isaac was now on his way to where Twilight was as he had one day before his duel as it would be there where everything would be answered. Nighttime had fallen as the moon was in the sky. Soon a car entered the driveway of the house as it stopped. The backdoor opened as out emerged Isaac, who had finally gotten home. He thanked the driver as he made his way to the front steps. He took out his keys and opened the door as he was finally home. It was just as he last saw it, but again, he'd only been in this place twice. He put his backpack down by the coat rack as he entered the living room and sat on the couch. He leaned back as he let out a tired yawn from his flight. It was then he felt something wrap around his neck as it was a pair of arms. "Welcome home," said Twilight. Isaac turned his head as he saw the face of his fiancé as he kissed her hands. "It's nice to be home." stated the boy. "Tired?" asked Twilight. "A little," chuckled Isaac. "Then you made it in time for dinner," said the girl as she unhooked her arms around her fiancé and told him to come into the kitchen. "Actually, I have something I want to show you," said Isaac. The boy's response got Twilight to raise an eyebrow. "I promise, it's something you'll like," stated Isaac. He then began to get up from the couch as Twilight followed him. The pair walked to a part of the house and came to a door. To Twilight's surprise, she was shocked that she had never seen it since she was here longer than the boy. "Now, close your eyes." "Isaac?" said Twilight raising her eyebrow again. "Trust me, Twily," said Isaac using the girl's nickname. Twilight just rolled her eyes as she did what he asked. The boy then waved his hand in front of the girl's face to see if she did have her eyes closed. Isaac then opened the door as he then grabbed Twilight's hands and guided her in. The room was dark as the pair stopped. "Can I open them?" "Not yet," stated Isaac. "Wait here." He then approached some curtains as he pulled them away to let some light in as Twilight could sense it with her eyes closed. "Now can I open them?" asked the girl. "Hold on," Isaac then approached a switch as he turned it on and adjusted lighting to match the evening setting. "Isaac?!!" stated Twilight as she was getting a bit impatient. "Alright... now you can open them." Twilight then opened her eyes as her sight was slowly taking in what she saw. All around her were books, but not just books, but the entire room was a library. Shelves upon shelves lined the walls as there were several ladders along the shelve to reach the higher levels. There was a fireplace with a couple of chairs and tables. Twilight did a spin to take her entire surroundings in. She let out a gasp in surprise as she couldn't believe what she was witnessing. She smiled with glee whilst holding her face together. "Oh, I'm in heaven. Someone pinch me," said Twilight. And right on cue, Twilight felt a pinch on her butt cheeks, making the girl yelp and hold onto her tushie with a blush on her face. She looked at Isaac as he had a smirk on his face. "Well, you did say to pinch you." "I didn’t mean literally," said Twilight while feeling embarrassed. He then leaned over and whispered to her ear, "And admit it, you wanted me to do that, didn’t you?" Twilight felt really flustered, and she slapped his shoulder. She then began to walk towards one of the many shelves. Twilight was checking out the covers and titles as all of it was making her have the biggest grin on her face. This was a dream come true for the girl to have her own personal library, and she couldn't begin to express how happy she was. "Do you like it?" asked Isaac as he watched his fiancé get into her nerdy side. "There are so many books here, I don’t know where to start. It's wonderful!" said Twilight in glee. "Then it's yours. All of it," said Isaac. "Isaac..." said the girl as she now walked over to the boy. "I... don't know what to say but,... thank you." She then wrapped her arms around Isaac as she hugged him. Isaac wrapped his arms around Twilight as he was glad he was able to make her happy. Twilight then began to grab some books as she had a small stack with her. She made her way to a table and sat down as she began to read. Isaac smiled at seeing Twilight be full of wonder and pure magic. He was about to leave, but he turned back to look at the girl. Twilight was so engraved in her reading that she didn't pay attention to her surroundings. She then felt an arm over her shoulder as she looked to see Isaac was also sitting next to her. Isaac decided that he would spend some time with his fiancé. Twilight smiled as she planted a kiss on his cheek, and the two spent the next hour or two reading some books as Twilight leaned into Isaac as the pair had smiles on their faces. After some novels and stories, the pair now exited the library. They went back to the kitchen and began to make themselves dinner. "So, how did your special training go?" asked Twilight as she was stirring the pot on the stove. "It went well. I made the right call," said Isaac as he finished cutting the vegetables. "Plus, it was nice to see the others after so long." "I'm glad you got what you wanted," said Twilight as she grabbed the cutting board and dumped the veggies inside the pot as the smell got to her noise. She took the spoon and took a quick taste of the stew. "Delicious. Those cooking classes paid off," Twilight then felt a pair of arms wrap behind her as Isaac had his head on the girl's shoulder and smelled her hair. "As good as that stew might be, I think I found something else that's just as tasty," said Isaac into Twilight's ear as she blushed. Isaac then turned Twilight around as he grabbed her by her hips and lifted the girl onto the counter. He then brought his lips to kiss her as the pair grabbed each other's faces. They began to open their mouths as they let out some moans as they were enjoying their little moment. Isaac then broke apart and started to plant trails of kisses along Twilight's neck as the girl held his head. He then stopped as he saw the necklace she was wearing. Since the day he gave it to her, Twilight never once took it off as it was a symbol of the time and adventures they had with each other and their friends. "As pretty as this necklace looks on you. You make it that much more beautiful," said Isaac giving another short kiss to Twilight's lips. "Why do you always say the things that make me fall in love with you again?" stated Twilight with a laugh. She grabbed Isaac's cap off his head and put it on as they shared another gentle kiss. "Alright, can't let the stew burn. Mind setting the table?" asked Twilight. Isaac smiled as he let Twilight down from the counter. He then began to grab the silverware as Twilight checked on their food as it was nearly done. After a few more minutes, she turned off the stove and brought the spoon as she filled two bowls full of the concoction. She grabbed both bowls and walked to the table as Isaac had pulled out her chair. She sat down as he grabbed his bowl and sat down next to her. The pair smiled as they began to eat and discussed Isaac's meetups with each of their friends. "So CHS is improving. And it's all thanks to you," said Twilight. "It's not just me, Twi. You and the others all played a role in helping the program get funded," said Isaac as he grabbed the girl's hand. "Because of what we did, we gave Celestia and Luna the school of their dreams. Now CHS is on a whole different level in not just academics, but also Duel Monsters." "As I said, they have you to thank. But... I will give myself some credit," snickered the girl as Isaac just laughed. Isaac then got up from the table and grabbed their bowls as he made his way to the sink and began to wash them. Once he finished, Isaac then made his way to the living room as Twilight was sitting on the couch. She had her deck in her hand as the boy now sat down next to her. She snuggled into his chest as Isaac lifted his cap a bit to see Twilight's eyes as he planted a quick peck on the lips. The pair now snuggled up as they watched some TV for a bit until it was time to sleep. All the while, Isaac held the girl he loved as Twilight was in the arms of the person she loved. Morning rose as it brightened up the entire world. It was now the day before Isaac's duel. This would be the final day for him to relax as the majority of tomorrow, he would be with Juniper going over the details of his duel. Which meant that today was the day he had to do it. The boy awoke as he was searching for Twilight. He found the girl as she was in her dressing room/closet where she was unpacking the last of her boxes. All around in the room were her clothes, personal things, and even some books. "That's more like it," said Isaac as he saw all of Twilight's belongings being neatly put away compared to when they were all over the place in boxes. "I'm on my last box," said the girl. "You like it?" asked Isaac. "I love this room," said Twilight. "I just can't believe it's all mine." "Glad you enjoy it." "So, Isaac. I was thinking that once I'm finished, we could do something? Since tomorrow you'll be gone for the whole day, not to mention it's your championship duel." "Twilight?" "So, I heard there's a great restaurant not too far from here." "Twilight?" "I hear there's a carnival in town. Maybe we can go check it out. I also heard there are some new books at the bookstore. I was thinking of maybe buying some for my collection." "Twilight?!" "Don't worry, we'll discuss the beginning stages of our wedding." "Twily!!" stated Isaac as he called his girl by her nickname. That response got the girl to look at her fiancé. Twilight knew that nickname was what Isaac used when he was being romantic with her or when he needed to discuss something. And based on his face, it was a mix of both but more so the latter. "What is it, Isaac?" said Twilight as she wrapped her arms around the boy's neck and looked at his eyes. "I'm glad you're enjoying this place. I wanted to give you a home that you can call your own. And a place where we can spend the rest of our life together. Possibly start a family when we're ready. I want you to understand." "I do, Isaac." "Then... if you really do wanna stay, like, if you really do wanna live here, please don't-- there's no right way to say this. Just don't take it the wrong way," said Isaac looking away from Twilight's eyes for a bit as he took a deep breath. He then looked back at the girl as she removed her arms from his neck. "I need you to sign something for me," said Isaac as the air now got tense. "Like what?" asked Twilight. "The formal term for it is a cohabitation agreement," stated Isaac. Twilight then had her eyes change as she looked down and then back at her fiancé. "I have it right here." stated the boy as Twilight was stunned hearing that. "Yeah. I had this made up for you," said Isaac as he now showed Twilight the document he was holding as he gave it to her. "Oh, I see that has my name on it... and... you signed it," said Twilight in a bit of shock as she looked at the paper and began to skim over the fine print. "Yes," said Isaac. "I mean it's only a one-page letter, but I need you to sign it three times and I need you to have it notarized." Safe to say that Twilight was in shock. The cohabitation agreement came out of nowhere and right now she didn't know how to feel. She was currently reading some of the writing to get a sense of what it said. "As your guest. And I have 48 hours of your request to vacate the home," said Twilight as she read that detail out loud. "That doesn't mean I'm gonna ask you to leave. It just means that if anything should happen. Then..." Isaac didn't finish his statement as both knew what he meant. "Why didn't you give this to me before I had moved my stuff in?" asked Twilight. "I should have told you. I didn't want to bombard you with information. And if I had asked you to move in and then followed it with that, this would have never happened." said Isaac as he referred to Twilight agreeing to move in. "How do you know that?" asked Twilight. "That's the way I think." answered the boy. "You could have just said it as I shipping my boxes," stated Twilight. "I had other things I was doing. Not to mention the document wasn't fully made when I suggested the idea of wanting you to move in with me. And I've had some time to think about things and this is one of those things that kind of needs to be done for all of this to happen." said Isaac. Twilight now heard what Isaac had to say as she looked at the document in her hands. All sorts of thoughts were running through her head as she didn't know what to think or how to act. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't find the words to truly express herself. Just when it seemed like she was about to live her dream, all of a sudden it came to a screeching halt as it may not happen. "I... I just... I just--just need time to think about this," stated Twilight. "That's totally understandable," said Isaac. "I feel like I'm signing something for a hotel," said the girl. Twilight then walked over to the window as she grabbed her satchel and packed some of her things and slung it across her body. "I just need to go think." Twilight then exited the room and was making her way out of the house. Isaac was left by himself as he took a deep breath. He now leaned over the dresser as he had his hands to his mouth as he was thinking about what went down. For Twilight, she had exited the house and got into her car. Right now, her mind was firing on all cylinders, and she needed to get away for a bit. If she was to think about what went down, then she needed to not see Isaac. She entered her vehicle as she turned the engine on and was now driving onto the street and away from the house. Safe to say there were a bit of tears in her eyes as she tried to wash them away but they kept on crying. Twilight was really thinking about the cohabitation agreement that Isaac had given her as if she didn't sign it, then they would be no future for the two of them.
