As the Enterprise pursued the Borg Sphere, Data noticed the beginnings of a temporal vortex. This meant that the Borg were trying to assimilate a past version of Earth. Picard ordered the firing of a new weapon to destroy the vortex before the sphere could enter. The missile was fired, but it was untested and malfunctioned. The malfunction turned the vortex into a portal to an different part of the universe. Both ships tried to evade the wormhole, but they were sucked in. They were left spinning out of control when they were ejected from the portal. As the Enterprise crew regained control, Picard saw a planet with a moon.
"What is our position, Mr. Data?", Picard asked.
"Unknown, Captain.", Data replied after quickly raising the shields.
A cloaked ship nearby radioed the planet.
"Harmony to Canterlot. Do you read me?"
"This is Twilight, go ahead."
"Aunt Twilight, this is Flurry Heart. Two ships have just popped out of a wormhole up here. One has its shields up and is constructed similar to the Harmony."
On board the Enterprise, Picard ordered a containment field to be released around the Borg Sphere. Suddenly, Data had a report as the cloaked ship became visible.
"Captain, we're being hailed."
"On screen, broadcast shipwide for records.", Picard responded.
"This is Captain Flurry Heart of the E.S.S. Harmony. Please state your identity and why you are here!", screeched an angry white pony with wings and a horn.
"I an Jean-Luc Picard, Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise-E. My crew was trying to prevent our most lethal enemy from travelling back in time and invading my home planet. When we tried to stop them, our equipment malfunctioned and we ended up here completely by accident.", Picard answered.
Flurry Heart acknowledged the report and asked how she could help.
"Arm your weapons and fire at the sphere. Do not allow the Borg to access your ship. If that happens, they will begin scanning your DNA and finding ways to beat you."
"Understood, we will give them everything we have. Also, we have a secret feature that allows us to choose which ships can see us. So the other ship cannot see us, but you can."
When the transmission ended, Flurry took her seat and began commanding the crew members on the bridge.
"Red Alert, shields up."
The shields on the Harmony began going up and the weapons were armed in a flash.
"OPEN FIRE!!", Flurry cried.
Lasers and torpedoes began flying from both the Enterprise and the Harmony.
The Borg Queen tried to block the shots, but the Harmony's armaments were far too powerful for her soldiers to adapt to. The Queen escaped as the sphere's defenses were breached and the hull began to collapse. The sphere was destroyed, but the Borg Queen had managed to reach Eqqus. Twilight's satellite sensors had picked up the Queen's mechanical readings and tracked them to a wooded area.
"CODE RED! An unidentified being has breached our planetary shield. All troops go to full defense at Latitude 30 degrees North, Longitude 55 degrees west. That's the center of the Everfree Forest. Whatever this thing is, do not let it cause a global disaster."
Flurry could not believe her ears.
"IMPOSSIBLE!", she shrieked. "Our shield is designed to only allow native citizens pass through."
"I can't explain how the Queen managed to breach your shield, but we can help you take her down.", Picard radioed to Twilight.
Twilight gave the all-clear and allowed an away team from the Enterprise to beam down along with an away team from the Harmony.
