Izzy chuckled without a hint of joy.
“Well, now you know. I…I don’t ever talk about it. Mostly because I’m not around many ponies. But, even if I was, I would probably just keep it to myself,” Izzy sighed.
Alphabittle looked at Izzy with compassionate eyes. “I had no idea.”
“It’s okay. Like I said, I don’t usually talk about it. I don’t even want to think about it most of the time.”
“Well, everypony needs a family,” Alphabittle sighed deep in thought, “Would you…”
Alphabittle could see the pain in Izzy’s eyes that had been hidden for years. He instantly knew what to say.
“I’d like to be your family.”
Tears welled up in the mare’s eyes. Then, she gave a small smile, “I would love that,” she choked out softly.
It was Alphabittle’s turn to have tears in his eyes. He wanted to be there for the lost unicorn; to fill that large gap in her heart. And he did.
