After three days in the forest, Celestia and Lumi had finally arrived in the city.

“Welcome to Jubilife city, the largest city in Sinnoh.” Said Lumi as she and Celestia walk into the city. “The home to the trainer school where young people can learn about Pokémon battling. There’s a tv station here, then there’s the Pokétch company where one can get a Pokétch.” 

Celestia wasn’t sure if she wanted to visit those placed but she had to admit, it was a big place. She could see humans and Pokémon living together, playing together, she couldn’t help but smile. Then she saw the budlings and they had to be at least thirty floors high, maybe even bigger, the budlings in Manehattan isn’t that big.

Celestia was brought out of the thoughts by Lumi. “Earth to Celestia, hello?” She then waved a hand in front of Celestia which made her blink a few times. “You okay? You space out there for a moment.”

Celestia shock her head. “Yes, I’m fine. I was just fascinated by the budlings here.”

Lumi scratch her head, she wasn’t sure why Celestia was fascinated by them, they weren’t that special. “If you say so, I was asking if you want to head to the Pokémon center, I want to heal me Pokémon.” Celestia thought that was a good idea so they headed there.

Celestia and Lumi had to walk past the local park and there they notice a big crowed.

“What’s going on?” Asked Celestia.

“There’s only one reason there’s such a big crowed, there’s a Pokémon battle going one.” Lumi look at the older woman. “Let’s see who’s battling.” Celestia agreed, she wanted to see who was battling.

Both of them managed squeeze through the big crowed so they could see who the trainers was, they weren’t too happy when they saw that Sunset was one of them but when they saw her opponent, one can say that Lumi wasn’t too happy now.

“Oh great, this Paul.” Lumi’s cheerfulness was replaced by annoyance.

Celestia had no idea who that Paul character was, all she could see a male human who was probably as old as Lumi. Paul was wearing a pair of black pants, he had a black/purple jacket and a green shirt, his hair was light brown.

Both trainers was using one Pokémon at the moment and Celestia could see that Sunset was sweating, she also could see the panic in her eyes, Sunset was losing.

Sunset was currently using her Shiftry and it look hurt and it was breathing heavily, Paul was using a Pokémon Celestia hadn’t seen before. This Pokémon was purple, big and had a horn on its head. Celestia took out her dex to see the data.

Celestia was impressed by the power that Nidoking had and it terrified her to.

Then Paul decided to attack .”Use horn attack.” Nidoking charge towards Shiftry with its horn.

“Stop Nidoking with energy ball.” Shiftry tried to attack but was too late, Nidoking tackle the wicked Pokémon so hard that it landed on the ground unconscious. “Damn it.” Sunset called back Shiftry and was about to get ready her next Pokémon when Paul spoke.

“There’s no point in continuing, I have won so just give up.”

Everyone who was watching was in shock that Paul said that, he just told his opponent to give up. Lumi wasn’t surprised at all which Celestia was just like the rest, shocked.

To Paul shock, Sunset just smiled. “You would like that, would you? I have no intention to just give up, it’s not over until is over.” She screamed at him. she then threw her last Pokéball. “Ready for battle Fearow.” Out came the beak Pokémon.

Paul on the other hand didn’t show any emotion at all, he held out a Pokéball and called back Nidoking, then he got ready his next one. “Weavile, stand by for battle.” Out came a Pokémon  that was black and had a red hat?

Celestia hadn’t seen that one before so she took out her dex.

Weavile the sharp claw Pokémon. They live in cold regions, forming groups of four or five that hunt prey with impressive coordination.

Then Lumi spoke. “Paul made a good choice,” Celestia look over at her. “Weavile is a good match up against Fearow.” Celestia could hear the annoyance in her voice, just what have Paul done?

Back to the battle, Sunset decided to make the first move. “Use drill peck.” Fearow flew up as its peak started to spin, then the bird flew towards Weavile.

“Stop Fearow by using blizzard.” Weavile open its mouth and it look like a small blizzard came out from it, Fearow was stop and then the beak Pokémon  was frozen in ice. Sunset couldn’t believe what was happening, Paul haven’t lost one Pokémon and Sunset just lost her last one. “Use Dark pulse.” Weavile fired a black beam from its hands and the attack hit the ice which started to crack, then the ice cracked and Fearow was hit hard, so hard that it passed out. Paul called back Weavile and gave Sunset a disappointing look. “Pathetic.” He then turned around and started to walk, the crowed moved away.

Sunset fell to her knees and started to hit the ground. “Damn it.” She then look at Paul with anger in her eyes. “The next time we meet I will not lose.” She shout at Paul who didn’t care at all. “Do you hear me Paul, I WON’T LOSE.” Paul ignored her.

The walk to the Pokémon center was different, Lumi wasn’t her normal cheerful self and Celestia was a little down. After seeing the battle between Paul and Sunset, Celestia couldn’t help but wonder how those two were trainers, the way they acted was disgusting.

Celestia look over at Lumi who was looking down at the ground and she look angry. “Lumi, what did Paul do to make you hate him?” Celestia sked her.

Lumi didn’t answer right away. ”About six year ago I heard a rumor a trainer battle Roark’s Geodude with an Azumarill and lost,” Celestia didn’t know what kind of Pokémon Geodude was but she knew Azumarill, Luna has one. Then Lumi look over at Celestia. “do you know what that trainer did with that Azumarill?” Celestia didn’t know so she shook her head. “The trainer gave Azumarill away, just because it lost and that trainer was Paul.” Celestia was in utter shock when she heard what Paul did, a trainer don’t do that. “A few weeks later there was a tag team battle tournament in Hearthome city and Paul was competing.” Celestia dreaded to her what Lumi had to say ”In the tournament Paul was using a Chimchar, then in the second match I could see that Chimchar was hurt, really bad. I had no idea how but I guess that Paul tried to train Chimchar the night before the match and he didn’t let it rest.”

Celestia couldn’t believe what she was hearing and she believe Lumi, she had no reason to lie. “In my opinion, there’s two trainers. First we have trainers like us, how care about their Pokémon. Then we have trainers like Paul and Sunset, who only care about strong Pokémon and don’t care about their feelings, at all.”

Celestia couldn’t help but agree with Lumi, sure, she didn’t know how Paul really battle but she have seen Sunset battle and she really didn’t like it. One thing was for sure, she was never going to become a trainer like Sunset and she really hope that she never would have to battle Paul.
