Volume 1, chapter 12: That place, where we made our promise

We opened in Tassel's house as Tassel looked to you. "Bonne lecture, my friends!" He said to you. "As usual, I'm Tassel. And I need to make this quick." He opened a book and we see what happened in the last chapter.

We see Legeiel looked over the city as one of the parts of the dissaperd city shot a pillar of light up into the sky. "What Legeiel and the others are doing will bring great change to both our worlds." Tassel explained, we then see Blades took the hit for Arabia when Calibur in his new and dangerous form. "However, Flash, the girls, and their friends have yet to realize that." He said as we see Arabia and Velvet ran to the down Surge. Tassel then closed the book and looked to you.

"Now I wonder what will happen?" Tassel said before he looked at a cloaked figure. "Right?" He asked the cloaked figure. The cloaked figure didn't say anything and just walked out. "Oh, you're going already?" Tassel asked to the cloaked figure. "Okay..." He stand up and walked out too. Then a book from the bookshelf fly out and opened to the next chapter.

We open to Surge in a bed with bandaged up. He woke up and saw that he's in a room in the Northern Base and Fluttershy was there. "Where am I...?" Surge asked, getting the attention of Fluttershy.

"Surge!" Fluttershy said when she saw that he is wake. "You're up?" She asked as she went over to him. Surge saw her and reached out to her.

"How is Arabia?" Surge asked Fluttershy.

"She's fine..." Fluttershy answered him.

"Thank goodness..." Surge said as he is glad that Arabia is fine. "Oh, thank goodness..." he started to fall back to sleep. "Thank goodness..."

"What in the world is going on?!" Terra asked. He and the riders came back to Northern Base in the main room and the others told him what happened after they destroyed two of the Goblin Megid. They even brought Celestia and Luna to the Northern Base to explain what's been happening lately for the pass few weeks.

"All these places, gone..." Terra said as he thought about what happened over. "Even when the Megid were defeated..." He walked around the room. "Those sudden pillars of light..." He sat down in a chair. "Sophia's nowhere to be seen..." He then looks at Twilight, Shining Armor, and their mother, Velvet. "And now you're telling me Calibur is actually Mr. Light?!"

"We've already talked about this." Beat reminded Terra.

"We did?" Terra asked. Arabia was quite the hole time as she was thinking about what happened to Surge. Twilight saw the sad look on Arabia's face just when Fluttershy came through the door.

"How's Surge doing?" Flash asked Fluttershy.

"He's fine. He just needs resting." Fluttershy told him. "He was more worried about Arabia than himself."

"That's nice of this Surge." Celestia said. There was a bit a silence, till Rainbow Dash spoke up.

"Why did you run off on your own like that, Arabia." Rainbow asked. Arabia didn't answer her. She just kept quite. Terra then got up and walked over to her.

"Here are the facts." Terra said to Arabia. "Acting on your own like that will cost you your life. Don't ever do it again, got it?" He asked her.

"Sorry." Arabia spoke. "I'm okay now." She had a small smile on her face. Twilight can tell that Arabia is lieing and she also felt like she needs to talk to Arabia about something.

Back in the Megid lar. Storious, Zooous, and Night Light were talking about their plan. "Thanks to the Swordsmen, their Sacred Swords and Wonder Ride Books, two doors have been opened." Storious said.

"Only four remain." Zooous said with excitement.

"Once the doors are open, the worlds will become one, leading us to the universal eternal truth." Night told the two.

"We will obtain its great power, and enact our world domination." Storious said.

Back at the Northern Base. Beat weaved her hand and three books open up. And in the the books were maps that show the locations of the six places of the city that disappeared. "Six locations have been absorbed into the Wonder World." Beat told everyone in the room.

She then flipped the page of the books that showed them two of the spots having pillars of light. One is red and the other is green. "The pillars of light that appeared when the Megido were defeated..." Beat told the others as they saw the pillars in the books.

"Before that happened, both Flash's and Wind's swords glowed after they were defeated." Twilight said.

"We can't enter any of the places with pillars in them anymore." Wind said.

"Desast..." Terra said getting everyone's attention. "That creep was going on about something starting..." He told them.

"Just like before..." Arabia whispered quietly. But Twilight heard her and wonder what that meant.

"So what's the plan?" Rainbow asked.

"I'm with Dash here on this one." Wind said as she sat down. "It's totally a trap, y'know."

"Agreed, we have to stay vigilant." Beat said.

"No." Terra disagree as he punched the books and they vanished. "We'll just have to break through it. We have to save the people who were affected." He told the others. "Even if it's a trap." The others know that they have to save all those people still trapped, but they don't know what will happen if they do the same to the other four. "There should still be Megid in the remaining four areas." Terra pointed out as he got ready to head out. "Let's split up and take them down."

"Okay!" Wind shouted as jumped out of her seat.

"Bring Arabia with you." Terra told Wind. He walked over to her and whispered in her ear. "I'm worried about her."

"Got it." Wind understood. "Come on, Arabia!" She said as she, Terra, and Beat headed out. Arabia was about to follow but Twilight stopped her.

"Arabia..." Twilight said. Twilight looked at Arabia with a worried look. "Are you sure you're all right?" She asked her.

Arabia just gave a fake smile and looked at Twilight. "Yes." She answered her. "I know what must be done." She then turned her back to Twilight. "Where we made our promise." Was all she said before she headed out. Twilight wonder what she meant by that. Sprit heard it too and she knew what it means.

Terra was running to one of the four places that disappeared. As were Beat, Wind, and Arabia. "At last, my prey..." Legeiel said as he felt the riders going to the places. "Take the bait." He laugh at the thought of them running right into the trap.

Terra and the others arrived at the places they chosen and went in. Flash, Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie, and Fluttershy arrived at one of the dissaperd place. Flash put on his driver and a book opened up to Wonder World appeared. Just before they could enter, a blast stopped them and destroyed the book. When they saw who did it, they saw Zooous in his Megid form.

"No need for you to join, Swordsman of Flames." Zooous said. Legeiel in his Megid form walked up next to him.

"Very soon all three worlds will be connected, and great power will fall into our hands." Legeiel said.

"You'll have to get through us first!" Flash shouted as the girls got ready to fight. Flash took his Wonder Ride Book and place it in his driver, just as the girls puts in their Paladin Books in their drivers.

"Let's have some fun, then." Zooous said as he ready his blades. Flash then draw out his sword just as the girls pressed the buttons and their books opened up.

"Henshin!" They shouted as they transformed into their rider forms. Flash to Saber, Twilight to Ember, Rarity to Aqua, Pinkie Pie to Spark, and Fluttershy to Reverb.

Zooous was the first to attack. Saber, Ember, and Zooous clashed swords. Leaving Aqua, Spark, and Reverb to deal with Legeiel. Saber got struck after he rolled under Zooous's attack, then Zooous kicked Ember back.

Wind made it to disappear part of the city. "Let's get this done, Arabia." Wind said. But when she looked to where Arabia is supposed to be, she was not. "What the--? Arabia?!" She called out.

In the room where Surge is resting. Arabia is there to check up on him. "I'm sorry, Surge." She said to the sleeping Surge. "It's all my fault..." Spike was near the door, listening in. "12 years ago on that day, I thought me and Sprit lost everything..." Arabia said with a sad tone.

"That's why I was so happy when I heard Twilight, her brother and mother survived. I thought we could keep the promise the four of us made." Arabia's tone had pain mix in. Spike wonder why she came by that day, but he wonder what promise she is talking about and who is the fourth person she is talking about. Arabia remembered when she was younger and a young Twilight, Sprit, and fourth girl were doing a pinky promise.

"But now that I know my uncle is gone..." Arabia said. "And Star was..." Spike heard the name of some girl that Arabia once knew. He even saw Arabia clinched her fist up at the thought. "I have to be the one to take him down." Spike knew she was talking about Night Light and that made him concerned. "Tell Flash to take care of Twilight for me." Arabia asked before she headed out.

Spike quickly hid before Arabia could see him. Spike saw Arabia head out and he thinks he knows what she is planning to do.

Somewhere in the city. Night Light wetness the two pillars of light still up. "How did you know about this place?" Night Light asked. Not to far behind, Arabia walked up. Spike sneak behind some trees as he followed Arabia.

"I've witnessed something similar 12 years ago." Arabia told Night. She thought back to 12 years ago, where she was younger and there six books in the sky and each one the same colors as Saber's, Blades's, Espada's, Buster's, Kenzan's, and Slash's Wonder Ride Books. Then a burst of light from the center of circle of the six books. A book appeared from the burst and a dark vortex was coming from said book.

A young Arabia was frightened by the sight. Arabia even saw young Twilight lost her grip and Star was sucked into the vortex as she they both called out to each other. "Six locations were erased, and six giant books took their places." Teen Arabia said. "12 if you count the ones in Equestria. Where we stand now is the epicenter. Where the gate to another world will open. That's what you're after!"

Spike couldn't believe what he just heard. What's happening now, happened 12 years ago. Why didn't Arabia told the others? What is it that's so power? Spike then heard Night scoffed. "So now you know of our plan." He said to Arabia.

"Then let's settle this now." Arabia demanded. "At the place where we made our promise..." Spike can tell Arabia is doing this not for herself or her uncle. He feels like she's doing this for someone else. "Night Light!" Arabia shouted. "You will fall by my hand!" She then took out her Lamp do Alangina book.

Before ether one of them could do anything else, Spike ran infront of Arabia. "Arabia, wait!" He shouted as he stood infront of her.

"Spike?! What are you doing here?!" Arabia asked in complete shocked.

"Just let me talk to him." Spike told her before he turned to look at Night Light. "Hello, I'm Spike. I was your daughter's dog before I found this book that turned me human. Anyway, I'm here to talk to you." Spike said.

"Fine." Night said. "Speak what you have to say, dog."

"Okay. Even since your family adopted me, I've felt like a part of the family." Spike said. "And when I turned into a human, they treated me like a little brother. And from all the time I've known them, they really missed you. So please, can't you just stop all this and came back home?" Spike asked, hoping Night would understand.

"I'm doing all this to save my family, dog." Night Light told Spike, making both him and Arabia confused. "When I started to wield the Sword of Shadows, it showed me something that needs to be stopped." He said as he looked at his sword. "So there I can't stop till I am done with the coming danger."

Arabia knew this is going to be ugly. So she place her Lamp do Alangina book in her driver. "Spike, get to cover." She told him as she then took out her Needle Hedgehog and Tri Cerberus books and place them both in her driver.

She then draw her sword and all three books open up.

"Henshin!" Arabia shouted before she slashed her sword and transformed into Kamen Rider Espada: Golden Alangina.

Spike did what Arabia told him and took cover behind a tree. As Night Light face Espada, he took out his Jaou Dragon book.

He then scan the book with his sword.

Night Light then placed the book in his Calibur Driver, then pressed the button on top with the bottom of his sword and the book opened up.

"Henshin!" He shouted as he slashed the sword and transformed into Kamen Rider Calibur: Jaou Dragon form.

As Spike watched the stand off, he could feel the tension is so thick that you could cut it with a knife. Espada hold up her sword before she charged at Calibur and jumped ready to strike.

In Wounder World. Slash slash her sword at a Goblin Megid. When the Goblin Megid thrust his staff at her, Slash swiped the attack away, then spun around before she strike him again.

Buster in his part of one of the dissaperd city slashed his sword at a Goblin Megid and push him a agenst the railing. Buster then knocked away its staff and knock it over the railing.

A Goblin Megid fell to the ground as it was trying to get away from Kenzan. "Hey, get back here!" Kenzan shouted as she chess the Megid. "Why are you running away?!"

Back at the Northern Base. Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were walking to Surge's room as they talked. "It really supperis me when Surge summon a blue lion when he opened his book." Cadence said to Celestia and Luna.

"I must say, all this is so much to take in." Luna said. "It feels like no matter what happens, there's always some magical things happening."

"Yeah, it does." Celestia said as they reach Surge's room. "Mr. Surge, we came to check up on you and also Pinkie made you some cupcakes." She said as she opened the door. But when they entered the room, Surge was not in bed or the room.

Back to the fight with Saber, Ember, Aqua, Spark, and Reverb agenst Legeiel and Zooous. Saber switched to his Crimson Dragon combo as he, Ember, and Aqua jumped and came down on Zooous and slash their swords at him.

Zooous blocked all three of their attacks with his swords. Each rider try to get an attack in, but Zooous swiped each attack away.

Spark and Reverb blocked Legeiel's attack and got pushed back. Spark jumped over him to try and attack him from behind, as Reverb try to slash at him. But Legeiel blocked both their attacks and strike both of them.

Zooous pounced on Saber, ready to strike him. Saber use his sword to blocked the attack, but Zooous broke through and Saber fell to the ground as he transformed back to Flash. Zooous then slashed Ember when she try to get him. He strike her and fell next to Flash as she transformed back to Twilight.

Aqua, Spark, and Reverb ran to protect the two from Zooous and Legeiel. "And here I thought one on three was going to be hard. You need like four more to face me!" Zooous gloat. "Now then..." He said as he walked to them. The three Paladin riders kept their guard up as he came closer.

Just then, Surge rode his blue lion straight at Zooous with his sword hield high. The two clashed blades and Surge jumped off his lion knocked Zooous back. "Get off!" Zooous shouted as he knocked the lion off him.

"So you came, Swordsman of Water..." Legeiel said to Surge.

"Are you both all right, Flash, Twilight?" Surge asked as he looked back at the two.

"Surge..." Aqua said as Flash and Twilight struggle to get up. "You should be in bed and recover."

"I'm fine." Surge said as he hold his side. "Allow me to take your place, Flash. You and Twilight should be by Arabia's side."

"Why? Is she not with Wind?" Reverb asked with concerned.

"Even so, you're still--" Twilight try to tell Surge that he's still injured before Surge yelled at him.

"It must be you, Twilight!" Surge yelled. "Arabia intends to settle a score from 12 years ago." He told Twilight and the others. "Do you remember the promise you made with her? Star and Sprit, as well." He asked Twilight as he looked at her.

"Star?" Twilight asked. She didn't know why, but the name "Star" sounds familiar. Then she had a flashback to when she was younger and with Arabia, Sprit, and the third little girl. The three were laughing and looking at the pop-up book that Arabia gave her. Then the girl with white skin and yellow hair hield up her pinkie.

It was right then and there Twilight remembers. Her past, the life she had in Wonder World, the fun she and her friends had. But most importantly, the promise she made with Star, Arabia, and Sprit. "Star..." Twilight said with pain as she remembers her lost friend. Both her and Flash got up from the ground and Sprit flew out from Surge's pocket to Twilight.

Twilight then remember herself, Arabia, Sprit, and Star together. "Star... Star..." Twilight keep saying as she remembers the promise they made. The four of them made a pinkie promise. "Surge." She said to him. "Thank you."

"No need to thank me." Surge told Twilight. "We are friends, are we not?" Twilight gave him nod. "You both take care of Arabia." He told the two.

"Right." Twilight said before she looked to her friends. "Give him some back up." She told them before she grabbed Flash's hand and pulled to wherever Arabia is now. Leaving the three Paladins riders and Surge to fight Zooous and Legeiel.

"I've got a score to settle with you." Zooous told Surge.

"You've done enough, Zooous." Legeiel said. Zooous grunted as he and Legeiel left.

"Hey! Why did they leave?" Spark asked as she, Aqua, and Reverb transformed back to Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy.

"I don't know what that was about ether." Surge said. "But right now, we have to go help the people..."

"Are you sure, Darling?" Rarity asked. "You are still injured."

"Didn't Twilight asked of you to give me back up?" Surge asked as he limp to the dissaperd part of the city.

Back in one of the dissaperd parts of the city. Slash knocked the Goblin Megid to the ground as she ready her finisher.

"Snack on the Chopper!" Slash declared her finisher as she perpar to strike.

Slash slashed her sword and struck the Goblin Megid. His feet were cought in candy and couldn't move. The Goblin Megid threw his staff at Slash in hopes to get her. "You're so naive!" Slash told the Megid as she ducked under the staff. "Very sweet of you." She joked as ducked under the staff as it came back and hit the Goblin Megid in the head. Slash the walked over to him as she reside her sword and deliver the final blow.

After the Goblin Megid exploded, her sword started to glow just like when Saber's and Kenzan's swords did.

In the dissaperd parts of the city where Kenzan is. She was able to catch up to the Goblin Megid and knocked him to the ground and perpar her finisher.

"Wind Blasde Dance: Duet!" She declared as she moved so fast and strike the Megid multiple times. She stopped behind him before she use her two swords to deliver the final blow.

With the fight with Buster and a Goblin Megid. The Megid charged at Buster as he got ready to finish this.

As the Goblin Megid jumped and ready to strike, rocks form on Buster's sword and blocked the attack. He then raised his sword up and knocked the Goblin Megid to the ground.

The rocks made his sword look bigger. "Grand Judgement!" Buster shouted as he brought his down on the Megid and destroyed it. After it was destroyed, his sword began to glow like with the others did.

Just then, two more of the giant books where the parts of the city were burst a pillars shot out to the sky. One was magenta and the other was bright orange. The one where Kenzan was had its part of the city returned.

With Blades and the three Paladins. They were fighting a Goblin Megid like the rest were. Both Blades and Aqua thrust their swords forward after they dogged the Goblin's attacks. Spark and Reverb then slash their swords after.

The Megid thrust his staff at Blades, but he jumped to get out of the way. When he landed, he fell to his knee as is still injured. But that didn't stop at the least. He jester the girls to move out of the way as he place his sword in his driver and press the button on the handle before he yanked it out for the finisher.

Aqua, Spark, and Reverb place their swords in their holders on their belts and press the button on the handles then draw them out to help with the finisher. "Hydro Sparking Sound Stream!" They declared as they charged at the Megid with their swords covered in water, electricity, and sound waves. They each slash their swords at him and he fell to the ground before he exploded.

Right then and there, Blades's sword glowed like the others did. "It's..." Blades said as he saw his sword glow.

With the fight between Espada and Calibur. Calibur slashed his sword at Espada and she was send back and to the ground. Flash and Twilight on his Diago Speedy drove to where the fight. As Twilight ride with Flash behind him, she remembers what Arabia said before she went out.

(Where we made our promise. Arabia said before she headed out.)

"Where we made our promise..." Twilight said to herself.

Calibur kicked Espada while she was still on the ground. Espada blocked his sword with her's when he brought it down. "I'll do whatever it takes..." Espada said as she pushed Calibur back. "...to take you down!"

"Twilight." Sprit said from Twilight's pocket while Flash drive. "Does this mean you remember everything now?"

"I do, Sprit!" Twilight answered. "I remember everything now!"

"That's nice to hear!" Flash said. "So, who is this Star person?!"

As they drove to where Arabia is fighting her father, she remembers when she was younger and with her friends and looking at the pop-up book under a tree. "Star..." Twilight said. "Was a great friend."

("The four of us will always be together." Star said as she hold up her pinkie. As did young Twilight and Arabia. Young Sprit just stood on young Twilight's hand and ready to shake with her hand.

"It's a promise." Young Twilight said as all four did a pinkie promise.)

"That was the day we made an important promise!" Twilight said. The hole time they ride, Twilight told Flash who Star was and what promise she, Sprit, and Arabia made with her. She then remember when Calibur and the Megid attack and Star was being sucked into a vortex.

Twilight promise to save Star, but she couldn't keep it for the two lost their grip and Star was sucked into the vortex. "Arabia said she wanted to tell you something once you get all your memories back!" Flash told Twilight. "Guss after we help her, she can tell you!"

"She asked me if ignorance is bliss!" Twilight told Flash. Back with the fight, Espada and Calibur clashed blades as Calibur was being pushed back. "Arabia was carrying that burden on her shoulders this whole time!" Twilight assumed. Calibur then strike Espada with his sword. "Even my share of it..."

Espada took her Needle Hedgehog book and place it on the tip of her sword.

She then slash her sword and a bunch of needles shot out to Calibur. Calibur spun around and use his cap to asorbed the needles before he shot them back at Espada. "Arabia!" Twilight called out as she and Flash kept on driving.

Espada transform back to Arabia as she rolled on the ground. "I'm not done with you..." Arabia told Calibur as she struggled to get up. "Even if my life is at stake, I will defeat you...!" Spike watched from where he's hiding as Arabia use her sword to balance herself as she got up. "This is for my uncle..." She told Calibur. "For Surge... For Twilight and her family!" She shouted.

"My daughter, son, and wife?" Calibur asked. "They were lucky enough that I saved them, but wouldn't if I knew my daughter had Brave Dragon and she would get a boyfriend would someday wield Rekka, the Sword of Flames. But if any of them dares stand in my way, then they, too, will die by my blade."

Spike was shocked to hear that Night Light would kill his own family if they gets in his way. Arabia gripped her sword tight when he said all that. "No, I won't..." Arabia said with rage in her tone as she remembers the promise she and her friends made. "I won't let you get your way!"

She got up from the ground as she looked at Calibur. "As long as I breath, you'll never lay your hands on Flash, on Twilight, or her family!" Arabia declared as she puts her sword back in her driver, then yanked out again to transformed back into Kamen Rider Espada, Golden Alangina again.

"Henshin!" Arabia shouted as she transformed.

Now back in her rider form, she stand ready to fight again. "I... will stay true... to my convictions!" Espada shouted as she place her sword back in her driver and press the button on the handle for the finisher.

Calibur closed the book in his driver for his finisher.

Espada yanked out her sword and perpar to strike.

Calibur press the button on his driver with his sword and the book open up for his finisher.

As darkness covered him, Espada charged at Calibur with lightning speed as Calibur send out many dark dragons at her. Espada managed to dodged each drak dragon and jumped up high in the air. In the air, Espada slash each dark dragon that flew at her. Down on the ground, Calibur send a big dark dragon at her. Espada slashed her sword at the dragon as she came down at Calibur.

It was soon night time and both Twilight and Flash saw Spike next to Arabia on the ground. "Arabia!" Twilight shouted as she ran to both Spike and Arabia. Flash and Sprit follow her to make sure Arabia is still alive. "Arabia! Arabia!" Twilight shouted to her in hopes she's still alive, but with no response. "Please Arabia, don't do this!" She begged.

"Spike, what happened?!" Flash asked.

"She fought Night Light, then there was a bright light and when I came to Night was gone and Arabia is out cold." Spike answered. Just then, Arabia coughed in pain as she saw Twilight, Flash, and Sprit here.

"Twilight..." Arabia said weakly. She looked at Spike. "Did I..." Spike was not sure how to answer her. "I see..." She looked back at Twilight.

"I'm sorry. I..." Twilight said as she cried. "I wasn't able to save Star."

"You remember now, huh...?" Arabia asked.

"Yeah." Twilight said as she hold her friend.

"When Star went missing, and you and your friends were brought into this chaos..." Arabia said. "I thought my uncle, Sombra was behind it all. That's why I--"

"I know!" Twilight interrupted her.

"I..." Arabia spoke to Twilight. "I was so happy... I was happy that you held on to your love of books... Happy that you made new friends... Happy that... you vowed to keep your promises... Star..."

"We'll save her!" Twilight told Arabia. "The four of us will always be together..." Sprit flew on to Twilight's sholder and whipped the tiers from her eyes. "That was our promise, remember?"

"It was..." Arabia said with a small smile. "...our promise." She weakly brought up her hand and raised her pinkie. Both Twilight and Sprit saw this Twilight place her pinkie around Arabia's and Sprit place her hand on the two. But before they could finish their pinkie shake, Arabia's hand fell to the ground, lifeless.

Twilight looked at her friend and saw that her eyes were closed. "Arabia?" Twilight asked, hoping she would respond. Flash checked her pulse and looked at Twilight with a sad look. "No..." She didn't want it to be real, but it is. Arabia is dead. "Please, not like this..." She begged as she hold her friend close.

Two figures arrived to see Twilight crying as she hold Arabia's lifeless body close. One is the cloak woman from the white void and the other is Tassel. Tassel looked at the cloak woman as she watched Twilight and Flash. "Arabia? Arabia!" Twilight kept calling out to her in hopes she would respond. Flash hugged Twilight as she was crying her eyes out over the lost of her friend. "ARABIA!" Twilight shouted.
