Lunar Ire vs Necrozma

Samiya. The Sea Temple. Afternoon.

The peaceful Sea Temple was being threatened once more. This time by the force of an empire instead of pirates. Princess Luna had unconsciously unleashed Lunar Ire and a majority of Sorrowful Rage Magic. Now all of that anger was being targeted towards Necrozma.

The People of the Water were ready to lower the forcefield to prevent Necrozma from absorbing the rest of the light that exuded out of it. But to do that would require equal amounts of effort and the power of the crystal. Similar to how they formed the forcefield in the first place.

"Altogether." A man said as many of the People of the Water and the Pokemon that had formed the forcefield stood together in a circle. They were specifically in the Treasure Room where the powerful crystals resided. "This is the only way we're going to reverse the forcefield."

"Have you done it before?" Shining Armor questioned.

"Never." A lady wagged her finger. "After all, that was the first time we've ever put up a forcefield around the temple. Taking it away won't be easier than summoning it."

As she said that, rumbling could be felt across the temple once more. This time it came from both Lunar Ire and Necrozma instead of Team Plasma. "We'd better hurry then. We may be drained from before we shall do our best."

"Darkrai. You've gotta get out there and help Luna." Ash then turned to the Pitch Black Pokemon. "Before anything goes wrong while this is happening."

"I can't phase through the forcefield, unfortunately...I wish I could but I can't. I might be too late to even save Luna before that magic gets to her...Or worse." Darkrai gripped his claws. For once, Darkrai felt powerless in helping his friend. Usually, no matter the odds, Darkrai was always able to chime in and give assistance. Sometimes, he ends up solving the issue before it gets out of hand via Dark Void.

But this time, Darkrai couldn't do much. Lunar Ire being summoned meant that Luna was most likely losing her sense of reason with her current rage. And that frustrated Darkrai that he couldn't be there for his friend's time of need.

"No need to worry." But one of his many friends was here to comfort him with a pat on the back. "You're her partner and friend. We'll get the forcefield down in time and we aren't gonna lose Luna. Count on it."

"Pika-Pikachu!"

"Thank you, Ash. Pikachu. I now know how Luna feels most of the time in these scenarios." Darkrai regained his cool thanks to the words of his friends. For that instance, he was in Luna's hooves. "And if we do lose Luna, I can try and reach her by entering her dreams."

"That's the spirit. Alright. Let's get ready for when that forcefield lowers." Ash was prepared for the worst to come, adjusting his hat and gloves while the People of the Water and the Pokemon focus their strength onto the crystals.

Lights of various kinds were being drawn into the crystals. And in response, the crystals started sharing their power. But they had to be careful to use only a bit of the power it contained.

"There is another way to guarantee our safety probably." A lady said while the power of the crystal was being shared with the Pokemon and the People of the Water.

"What way is that?" Shining Armor asked.

"Carlita." She turned to Carlita. "The People of the Water and the People of the Vale's connections don't just stop at them acknowledging each other. There is more to it."

"There is?" Carlita's interest was piqued.

"Mhm. Come with us. There's something you should know." The lady and a few others did the honours of bringing Carlita along to someplace special. This had to do with how the temple could be further protected according to her words.

Ash and the others chose to head back to the entrance before the forcefield can emerge. If they hurry, they can outpace the traps laid out on the temple so that their opponents could trigger them when they show up. That was at least one of their goals.

On the other side of things, Adagio had just recently learned of her mother Vivace's whereabouts and how she was essentially a citizen of the Sea Temple. After so many years, Adagio knew that she was alive and well. But due to the rumbling within the temple, Adagio, who wanted to know more, had been interrupted.

"What is going on out there?!" Adagio groaned.

"It's gone on too long enough to ignore." The guards said before marching rapidly. They have had their conversations go on long enough. It was time to act.

Enola and the children were the only ones exempt from this due to their age. A caretaker of the temple came over as many other civilians who were less battle-heavy were already being instructed to head somewhere safe. "Come along, children. Lt everyone and the king handle this."

"But we're not light anymore! We won't get to see the king in action!" Enola groaned as Adagio watched the children walk away.

"Better to be safe than be caught in the madness, young one." The caretaker said as Enola pouted. She wanted a piece of the action or to at least see it.

"But I'm strong..." She crossed her arms after leaving with everyone else.

Outside the temple.

Meanwhile, outside, the ferocious conflict between Lunar Ire and Necrozma was underway with both sides being aggressive. One out of anger and the other out of endless hunger.

Constantly, tremors moved throughout the sea, threatening the sea temple, the Pokemon living within this part of the sea and even the ships nearby.

Lights flared through the ocean, even reaching the outside. And noticing these lights was Pokemon Ranger Jackie, who was currently taking on the appearance of an Empoleon due to the Shift Stone. While simultaneously trying to avoid Tempest Shadow. He had managed to hide from the unicorn temporarily before noticing the flashing lights in the far distance.

And Tempest, while searching for Jackie, noticed them as well. "What is going on over there?" She wondered as massive rubble flew all over the place.

Necrozma had recently been pushed back but the Prism Pokemon looked slightly unaffected by what was thrown in his direction. He was getting ready to use Prismatic Lasers with his body already emanating the lights of prisms.

"Take your best shot." Lunar Ire spoke, fearless in front of these destructive rays. Necrozma unleashed all of the lasers in various directions, this time with an extra abundance of them due to the magic he had absorbed earlier.

Lunar Ire flew forward, weaselling past all of the lasers with her increased speed. Not only was her magical power increased as Lunar Ire but so was her physical strength. And this was showcased when she bashed her horn into Necrozma after deceiving his Prismatic Lasers.

Necrozma had been sent upwards after the initial hit, hurling through the sea and crashing through a sea rock afterwards, leaving a massive hole in the shape of his body. But the Prism Pokemon recovered later with Luna pursuing him.

Luna flew through the hole, ready to continue her assault, only to be met by a swift Dragon Pulse that flew straight through the hole. Taken by surprise, Luna had been hit by the dragon-shaped shockwave, also hurling through the sea. She grunted before tumbling on rocks, breaking them with each one she bounded on.

The Dragon Pulse was stronger than she expected as she was still rolling through the sea. Eventually, she landed right at a nearby sea bed with her tumbling coming to an end. But not the overwhelming attack being put on her. As she laid there on her back, Necrozma appeared above her, diving downwards for a Giga Impact.

"!" Lunar Ire gasped before witnessing the Prism Pokemon charge towards her with a gigantic invisible aura that soon took form with black and purple lights. Quickly, Lunar Ire could only put up a shield in response. And with good timing. Necrozma crashed into Lunar Ire's shield with Giga Impact, creating an impact so disastrous that it ravaged the sea bed, causing a stupendous crater to form while the sea itself quivered.

All other ships, Water-Type Pokemon and the Sea Temple shuddered due to the disturbance within the sea. Necrozma could see that the shield Lunar Ire had made was almost cracked. But instead of fully destroying it, Necrozma chose to absorb the light from it.

With his gigantic claws on them, the Psychic-Type began absorbing the light energy from Lunar Ire, feeding off of it. "Get off!" In response, Lunar Ire blasted through her barrier with a magical ray, hitting the Prism Pokemon away before he could absorb everything.

Necrozma still managed to achieve some of the light. Lunar Ire then swooped off the seabed after finally regaining her balance and having some time to breathe from Necrozma's assault.

But Necrozma doesn't take breaks nor does he need time to catch his breath. And unfortunately for Lunar Ire, Necrozma doesn't exactly abide by the 4 rule limit most Pokemon do, similar to Mewtwo. Going past Prismatic Laser, Dragon Pulse, Brutal Swing and Giga Impact, Necrozma had then used another one of his signature moves.

Photon Geyser.

Similar to Prismatic Laser, Necrozma only needed to unleash this attack from his body, but in the form of gigantic pillars instead of lasers. These pillars of light shot out while hitting the seabed, destroying more of it.

Lunar Ire was taken aback by these rampaging pillars, but she quickly found the best way to counter them. Reversing them. She used her magic to reverse the flow and properties of the pillars. She had turned them into darkness. After creating these dark pillars, Lunar Ire then sent them back to Necrozma.

The Prism Pokemon had been assaulted by his own attack but in the form of darkness instead of light. Necrozma didn't take too kindly to that. That's when Lunar Ire found a weakness in Necrozma.

"So your weakness is Darkness is it? That makes sense. You're still a Psychic-Type at the end of the day. There's no light in darkness anyway. Nothing for you to feed on."

Necrozma hated to admit it, but she was right. At least for now. Necrozma at his current state was vulnerable to darkness. Whether it be from the Pokemon Type Dark or even natural darkness from both worlds, the Prism Pokemon could not stand it.

After exposing his weakness, Lunar Ire went on the offensive next. Necrozma had been met with rays of magic that were transformed into claws. The claws of Lunar Ire's magic had gripped the Prism Pokemon, holding him in place. Luna had then reversed the properties of claws, turning them into darkness.

She then force-fed Necrozma all of the darkness while gripping the Prism Pokemon. This was her best approach and it was working splendidly. Necrozam cried out after taking the darkness that it despised so much. Lunar Ire then manipulated the claws to slam Necrozma on the seabed while still attacking him with darkness.

She did this repeatedly with no chance of her grip ending at all. All the while, Daybreaker, the owner of Necrozma watched. She didn't have any worry on her face.

"If this continues then there'll be no forcefield for us to go through!" Colress growled as he was planning on intervening.

"Don't." Daybreaker eventually stopped him. She not only had absolute confidence in Necrozma but she knew what was coming next. "Just keep watching."

Necrozma was being smacked around like a ragdoll from these claws of darkness. So far, he wasn't retaliating as Lunar Ire took it a step further. She had then transformed her claws into a gallant ball of darkness that had captured Necrozma, imprisoning him inside.

She then caused all of the darkness from the ball to seep into the Prism Pokemon. Necrozma kept receiving nothing but darkness. No light at all. Lunar Ire's complete rage was being poured into this. Her absolute anger towards Necrozma was showing as she continued to punish the Psychic-Type.

However, that's when the unexpected occurred. Once there was enough darkness in Necrozma's body, the Prism Pokemon then expelled all of his light energy in a flash. After doing so, he had then used Stored Power, utilizing all of the darkness that had been force-fed to him and expelling it. Bursting out of his body was a gigantic pulse of darkness that had overwhelmed the ball, shattering it.

"What?!" Not only did it break the ball, but the pulse had struck Lunar Ire as well, splitting parts of the sea and knocking the enraged alicorn back. Lunar Ire crashed into large rubble after being confounded. The ball had faded away into nothing with Necrozma emerging. "H-How...?!"

"She's right. How?" Colress was flabbergasted. "Necrozma only relies on light. How did-"

"I made sure that Necrozma was ready for its one weakness," said Daybreaker. "Whether it be Dark-Types or Darkness in general, Necrozma is vulnerable to that. It's why he was so frustrated after being robbed of all the light in his universe. So, the only way to counter it was to make a vessel."

"A vessel?"

"Precisely. All Necrozma needs to do is empty out all of the light energy he had absorbed and allow his body to become a vessel for darkness. It's only momentarily but it works like a charm. Especially when used with Stored Power. Nothing is going to stop him from gathering all the light that he desires. And I aim to make sure that his goal is realized."

"It's not possible...!" Lunar Ire growled in frustration as her body was twitching with slight flashes. Within those split-second flashes, the real Princess Luna could be seen.

Deep down, despite the full rage of Lunar Ire being unleashed, there were still limitations. And it was a sign that Luna's sadness and anger were fading away. "Now now Luna..." Lunar Ire said. "Not until we exact revenge on this mon-"

But as Lunar Ire spoke to Luna deep within, Necrozma interrupted her speech with Gravity. By manipulating the gravity around the sea, Necrozma had forced Lunar Ire down with the force of 30x gravity. Lunar Ire gasped with her body being overwhelmed.

She had then been forced into the crater that had been formed earlier. After doing so, Necrozma then went for Stone Edge, summoning a multitude of stones that were just as large as his body. And certainly larger than Lunar Ire. They were shot towards the direction of the enraged alicorn with the intent to crush.

Lunar Ire was currently struggling with the Gravity push. This reminded her of Empress Twilight's Gravity spell. Lunar Ire was trying to figure out how to counter it since she still has problems with it today. Before she could think of something, the gigantic stones had landed right on her, blocking out the crater in the process.

Buried underneath the crater with the limitations of the Underwater Breathing Spell being present and the force of Gravity still active. A truly horrifying situation for Lunar Ire and Princess Luna who was still in there.

Seeing that made Daybreaker a bit iffy. It reminded her of her little sister. But she was trying her best to forget about a moment like that. However, Daybreaker knew that Luna in this current state wouldn't go down so easily.

Necrozma looked at the blockade of rocks and the crater before turning away. His attention was focused back onto the forcefield. He needed more light after expelling the previous one. And with no one to stop him, the Prism Pokemon was free to feed.

And immediately, it was as if the light had never left Necrozma. And due to this feeding of light, this also interfered with the current process happening within the Sea Temple.

Samiya. The Sea Temple.

"Ah!" The people and Pokemon gasped before falling to their knees or sitting down depending on the Pokemon build. Due to this interference, Necrozma had broken their focus with a corrupted spark.

"A-Azumarill..." Azumarill and the other Water-Types felt doozy as the crystals were pulsating. That was not a good sign to anyone.

"The crystals!" A guard went up to them. "Something's wrong!"

"It must be that Necrozma creature..." A lady groaned before sitting up. "It's feeding off the light from the crystals. We can't make the forcefield at this rate..."

"What should we do? Should we warn his majesty?" A younger man asked as the difficulty had been raised. It was already difficult to have the forcefield emerge due to the duration. Now with Necrozma, it might be impossible as panic was starting to usurp. All they could do was request Ash's help.

A secret room.

Meanwhile, Carlita had been brought to a secret room within the temple. A narrow pair of granite doors in a sombre hallway marked the entrance to this room. Beyond the pair of granite doors lies a scanty, grimy room.

After entering, Carlita could see that there wasn't that much inside of this room. It was packed with strange crystal boxes full of shattered gemstones and other oddities. But that wasn't important.

What was important was the object ahead. Carlita paused for a moment as there was another crystal located within this secret room. Exempt from the other crystals in the treasure room. "What's this one doing here away from the others?" She asked the people.

"That is because this specific crystal..." The lady removed the crystal from the wall. "Was made for the People of the Vale."

"Really?" She gawked as the crystal was brought to her.

"The connections between your people and us went far enough to be involved with the crystals. While the crystals over at the treasure room hold the light that we possess, this crystal holds the only power that could be found in Vale."

"Only power?" Carlita scratched her hair before clicking on what she meant. "You mean the Dragon Force?!"

"Precisely. The powerful and invisible energy that surges throughout our world. During an event, the People of the Vale entrusted this semblance of the Dragon Force to us for one reason. If there ever comes a time when we are in need, someone from Vale would come to our aid. Seeing as how this is one of those times, it's only fitting that you'd show up."

"Wait..." Carlita was handed the crystal. "Aside from how you managed to get the Dragon Force inside of it, has anyone else used it?"

"Never. Unfortunately, not only were the no scenarios where we were truly in danger, but our connections to Vale strayed away over the years, making it harder for us to interact. Since then, no one from Vale has ever found us again, thus this crystal lost any meaning until someone would find us. That time is now."

"Okay, okay. I get it now." Carlita nodded. "But how am I supposed to use it? I mean...my brother Damon used it but only with the power of Victini. And Victini kinda isn't here right now."

"Victini's power isn't needed at all. You are a Dragon-Type Trainer, aren't you?"

"Yeah?"

"Then you have your own form of magic. Use that to connect with the crystal and the Dragon Force can be manipulated by it."

You don't say..." Carlita was shocked. Indeed, Dragon-Type Trainers can emit a golden light that lets them understand Dragon-Type Pokemon and much more. However, interacting with the Dragon Force was a new one. Mostly for Carlita. She had the same power that Dragon-Type Trainers all had. "Okay, I'll try what I can."

Meanwhile, Necrozma had done it. He had absorbed all of the light around the forcefield for himself. There was no longer a forcefield up and running, making the temple vulnerable and naked to attacks. All the while Lunar Ire was struggling to fight back against the Gravity and the abundance of gigantic rocks.

But it was too late for her to stop Necrozma. All of the light from the forcefield belong to him. His body pulsated. And yet, the Prism Pokemon wanted more, unsatisfied.

"There. Took a few turns but that forcefield is out." Daybreaker spoke. "We're about done here. You're free to do what you can, Colress."

Necrozma had then phased through the Plasma Frigate by moving so fast to do so. After reappearing in the Plasma Frigate, Daybreaker already had the Ultra Ball ready to be used.

"Return, Necrozma." She ordered as the Prism Pokemon had been recalled, ending his current hunger rampage. Daybreaker was done here. After all, she only sent Necrozma out to get rid of the forcefield. "Alright. We'll be right back, Colress. For those crystals."

The gateway to Universe 11 had been closed afterwards with Colress having a sigh of relief. Thankfully, Necrozma hadn't stolen the light from the ship. But the battle between it and Lunar Ire almost destroyed it.

"Alright...Now we can move..." Colress sighed.

Speaking of Lunar Ire, she was free of the effects of Gravity due to Necrozma leaving the scene and universe entirely. She burst out of the rocks with a pulse of magic. She took deep breaths as her anger had only been amplified after that instance. Due to this rise in anger, Luna was straying away ever so slightly.

"You...!" Lunar IRe growled, knowing that Necrozma had left. She wanted to exact her full revenge, refusing to accept Necrozma disappearing. "Come back here you monster!"

She demanded the Necrozma returned. But even with the battle ending, Lunar Ire remained, ascending through the sea. While Necrozma was gone, there was another obstacle in her way. Team Plasma, the Solar Empire and the Twilight Imperium. She currently stood before them as the ships were finally advancing.

"You're all in my way! But you can get me to Necrozma...!" Lunar Ire grumbled with her eyes glowing. At this point, it would be difficult to revert.

"That's an impressive form you have there, Princess Luna," Colress spoke through a speaker within the ship. "But since you had so much trouble with Necrozma..." Colress smirked, ready to use the cannon against her with the power of more Legendary Pokemon. "I wonder how you'll-"

However, Lunar IRe didn't have time to hear his words through the megaphone. Instead, she used her magic to slice off parts of the Plasma Frigate. The bow had been cut apart as Lunar Ire flew at ludicrous speeds.

She knew she couldn't reach Necrozma naturally. Except for what Team Plasma had. The only working Travel Spheres. The enraged alicorn had then landed on the upper deck of the frigate.

"She's completely lost it, huh?" Colress grunted as the frigate trembled. Due to them being underwater, it was impossible for Team Plasma to come out and deal with Lunar Ire. And there was still some time with the Underwater Breathing Spell, despite how limited it may be.

Unless they entered the Sea Temple. Colress had an answer to that. Boosting the ship at its maximum speed. With little hesitation, Colress initiated the full throttle of the Plasma Frigate, using all of the power it had. And of course, it was Legendary powered.

Lunar Ire trembled for a moment, feeling an odd rumble. That rumble was the cause of the frigate revving up. And in a flash, the Plasma Frigate had moved at stellar speeds with the boosters from behind showing. Lunar Ire was thrown off by this as she was being carried by the Plasma Frigate now. She even slammed into the walls due to the current speed.

And due to there being no forcefield, the Plasma Frigate and many other ships could enter the temple freely. And they certainly did. The enemies were now within the Sea Temple at last. Despite the insane speed, Colress also had the power to slow it down. Relatively quickly as well. So quick that the ship was practically moving in slow motion.

Except for Lunar Ire. Once the ship became slower, the moment decreased, tossing the enraged alicorn off. Lunar Ire was no longer hurling through the water. Now she was just hurling through the air.

Due to the speed that she was flung at, Lunar Ire crashed into a few columns and pillars but took no considerable damage to them. She was also stronger in terms of durability in this form.

Lunar Ire then fell into a nearby pool after her crashes and tumble. At this point, her crown was drifting in the sea. Along with Frillish who was still unconscious. Lunar Ire was too blind to see this, however.

But Luna wouldn't be blind.

Aside from that, Team Plasma, the Solar Empire and the Twilight Imperium had full access to the Sea Temple. And with this entrance, they had already got to work. Team Plasma grunts were emerging from the Plasma Frigate, finally being able to do something with the temple having breathable air.

Colress decided to do something more physical himself. Instead of just standing back at the ship, he decided to get in on the action as well, exiting the Frigate.

It was inevitable at this point. And unavoidable. A conflict between the Sea Temple and these opposing forces would break out. Ash and the others who were approaching the entrance would be met with a rude awakening. Due to how speedy the battle between Necrozma and Lunar Ire was, they weren't fast enough.

"They're already here! Look!" Flash Sentry, who was currently flying to move faster, noticed the Plasma Frigate in the air, right in the distance. Darkrai took the air, spotting it as well.

"Luna...!" He said to himself, worried that something horrible could've happened to Luna. However, as he called out her name, bursting out of the pool nearby was Lunar Ire. Ash almost fell into the pool from this sudden eruption.

"Woah!" He cried out, only for Shining Armor to pull him back with his magic. Ash then sat on the floor with his hat twisting the other way.

Arriving with a furious disposition a little reason left was Lunar Ire. She descended to the marble floor, using her magic to remove the water from her, essentially drying herself.

"Princess Luna!" Shining Armor and the others guards exclaimed, only to receive a glare from Lunar Ire. "Uh...G-Glad to see you're okay."

"Luna. Are you alright?" Darkrai went in front of Lunar Ire, hoping that Luna within wasn't too far gone. Lunar Ire stood there for a moment, huffing and puffing. Not out of exhaustion but of absolute anger. She didn't do anything in response to Darkrai's question. She just stood there.

Within Luna's mind.

But in truth, Luna and Lunar Ire were currently standing before each other with Luna wishing to talk with her Sorrowful Rage self. Right after that confounding impact with the Plasma Frigate, Luna had managed to gain some control and time to speak.

"Lunar Ire!" She shouted her name. "Listen to me!"

"There's no need for me to listen, Luna!" Lunar Ire replied with a bellow. In this mind of Luna, Lunar Ire was essentially a giant. Larger than life compared to Luna. Her larger self in every way. "I was greatly held back the first time with what happened to Celestia. But not anymore with Frillish. Truthfully, I should've been fully unleashed when Celestia was greatly harmed by Ghetsis."

"I know that! But please! The control that I have compared to what you have is slipping. This path for revenge is already moving in is awry!"

"And here I thought you were starting to accept me. Seeing that I could do so much for you. How we could be one so that nopony would be harmed ever again."

"I am accepting you. But not like this! Frillish is out there still harmed. Your revenge for Necrozma is getting in the way for that! Necrozma is long gone by now anyway!"

"Not yet. Those Travel Spheres will take me to that monster. And when I get there, I'll obliterate Necrozma and all those that aided him. In fact, obliterating Team Plasma and the others can be an excellent start. Afterwar, whatever universe Necrozma resides in will be turned to dust."

"Are you hearing yourself...?" Luna gawked with shock in her heart. "This is going on far enough! I won't let you cause mass destruction from this!"

"Don't you ever feel revenge?! If anything, you've forgotten that ever since Nightmare Moon vanished from you. I'm disappointed, Luna. At this rate, you won't be able to fully use the magic that I have for your own usage. You'll be forever held back."

"No." Luna shook her head, rejecting Lunar Ire's words. "Because from here-on, I'll make the Sorrowful Rage Magic my own. Into something that can be used for a different reason. And I'm afraid that the only way to make it happen is by stopping you?"

"You're going to go against me? Your true self?"

"If I have to. And you are not my true self. Not yet at least." Luna's natural magic started showing as she and Lunar Ire would always seem to disagree on everything.

Lunar Ire also showcased her magic as they were against each other as always. Lunar Ire only saw revenge while Luna saw something else that can be birthed and made anew. They were now in conflict, much like the conflict that was bound to happen with Samiya.

As the journey continues.

Chapter 617 End.
