Chapter 218 - Lucky Number Seven?

You walked over to the bar, making sure to give Jimmy a nasty look to make sure he didn’t suspect anything. You had a plan. Chaos is whatever you make of it, to the point that you’ll most likely make it into the concept you thought of while the actual parts don’t match the blueprints. Jimmy obviously had control of everything in the casino, but he most likely had to focus to get the results he wanted. Sooooooooo, all you had to do was…

You hopped up onto one of the seats and took the time to settle on your ass as you looked at the bar. It was pretty fancy, drinks you have and have never heard of littered the shelves behind Jimmy. The bar itself was in a circle, allowing Jimmy to walk to whatever seat he went to serve quickly. He smirked at you, and walked over to the shelves to pull out a random drink. “So, gave up already? Or were you planning to fight me?”

“Nope, I just need seven shots of whatever you got in your hands there. If I have to be here, I’m gonna be seven times drunk.” You said, stretching your shoulders some to relax yourself.

“What? In that body? And this drink? I doubt you could handle one, much less seven… That’ll be seven chips by the way.” Jimmy said with no actual care for you, none whatsoever in his tone, as he took out a shot glass for you and poured some of the drink into it. “There’s your first, you little shit.”

“Seven chips? My guy, I’ve lived here for seven years, seven months exactly! Don’t I get a discount that works for a week or something? You know, seven days?” You say grudgingly, not taking your drink, refusing his service.

“Seven years?! A discount?! What the hell are you talking about?!” Jimmy said, enraged and confused by your weird ranting. “You haven’t been here that long, idiot! I know you, you haven’t lost your mind either. So what the hell are you planning? Are you trying to get to your portal door upstairs? Because, guess what, moron. Without my permission, none of those doors will ever open! Now, do you want the drink? Or do you want me to break this bottle over your face?”

“Geez, if I had to rate your sense of humor, I’d give it a seven. Relax, Jimmy, I’m just getting some licks in before I end up losing in what, seven hours? I gotta say, this was quite the trap, must have taken seven brains to come up with, since you got none to think of this yourself.” You said with a cackle.

“Well, ha ha, aren’t you the jokester? You’re getting on my nerves, Anon. And trust me, I have no problems giving you a beating once you work for me. Discord can’t do anything once you’re mine, it is alllll part of the deal, or did you not know that? So, let’s see, seven years? Seven moons? More like seven trillion moons of service, if you can even live that long! See, I can joke too. Though the reality is you’ll just be under my foot forever, that’s all.” Jimmy said with a boisterous laugh. “No, you don’t know shit, do you? Chaos magic is crazy, isn’t it? Even the spirit of chaos himself can’t go against the flow of his own magic. I mean, yeah, sure, he can try, and he may even succeed… But it’ll be over your corpse.”

Geez, that actually filled you with dread. Jimmy… he somehow became more dangerous than ever before. Did he really have that much of an understanding of chaos? No, that’s impossible, this would be the first time he has chaos as a magic rather than a force. He was trying to scare you. Don’t be scared, Anon, stick to the plan. “Man, edge much? What? Are you going to cut me into seven pieces or something?”

“Seven hundred, just to store it for lunch. Are you having a pissing contest with me, Anon? Is that it? Ohhhh, wait, I get it, you’re trying to get me angry enough to really hurt you, aren’t you? Well, you got me, Anon. I’ll tell you the truth, I can’t end you. Discord did make it clear everything would be gone if something lethal happened to you, or his little girlfriend, should she ever show up.” He said as he threw the drink out of the shot glass and started to clean it. “Doesn’t matter though, you’re mine either way, so why don’t you go back to your little yak friend, spend your chips, and get it over with?”

That was… weird. Not exactly what you were trying to get from him, but it was good to know he couldn’t actually kill you. Figured he didn't have that much control over the power of chaos. It made you wonder how much of a front he was putting on. Though, you had to put those thoughts away for now, you had to get this done before he owned you and Yona, as he may be stalling for time. “Well, that’s good to know, I guess. So what? Deep down, do you just wanna be my seventh friend? We could have those seven drinks together if that is what you want.”

Jimmy started laughing, he held onto the counter and just laughed and laughed before looking at you with a crazed grin. “Friends, with you?! Is that where you think I was getting at?! You fucking moron! You dipshit! I’d never be friends with you, not in seven trillion moons, not ever! You’re an annoying piece of shit! You don’t love, even Chrysalis couldn’t feed off you, because that's how shitty you really are! Friends?! Are you really that stupid? Fuck off, and stop saying that goddamn number! What is with you and seven? What? Am I supposed to be remembering some traumatic crap that happened on the seventh or something? What the hell is your angle here, Anon?”

That was it, he had the number on his mind! You had it!

You slammed your hooves onto the counter to signal Yona, and got into his face. Because not only were you going to win, you were going to let him know that he was wrong, and that he was the truly shitty one. “Big talk from an ex-captain! How did you even end up where you were, Jimmy? Oh, that’s right, you tried to stage a rebellion. You fucked that up! You tried to kill me and Scrappy! You fucked that up! You tried to kill me as an eyeball monster! You fucked that up! And despite all that, the only reason you have this crappy casino is because I let you back in the house in the first place! If anything, you owe me, Jimmy…” And that’s when you both heard it. You both turned your head to see the slot machine Yona was on glowing and flashing as a big loud voice congratulated her on being a ‘Jackpot winner’. “...And you can start by giving us the house back.” Oh yeah, baby! It’s victory time!

But something was wrong. Jimmy was just staring, suddenly as calm as a resting cat, as he slowly turned over to you with an evil grin. “Well, well, we got a big winner. Let me guess, she got lucky number seven, didn’t she? That is right, isn’t it, Anon?”

Suddenly, your grin disappeared as you began to become deathly pale. What was going on? “U-uhhh, yeah? You lost, so it should be over. So why aren’t you pissed off?”

Jimmy chuckled as leaned back against the shelves and gave you a smarmy smirk. “Well, what? You can’t figure it out? Do I have to spell it out for you, dumbass? I know exactly how many chips you both have, and they have all been auto deposited to pay for your stay here in my casino. Congrats, you won’t be taken up by my more than generous time limit. But rules are rules…” He said darkly "...And my rules are simple. You don’t leave until you can pay for your way out! You guys only have one chip now, of course, among the both of you. But hey, at least you have all the time in the world to decide how to spend it. Now how about that drink, huh?”

Wut?! WUT?! You look over to Yona, who was already panicking as all the chips began to fly straight up and away. You nearly turned ghost white, were you bamboozled?! How did he..?! You then hear a chip land on the counter, flipped onto it by Jimmy, who stood up straight and walked over to the shelves, and grabbed one of the beer taps. “I was hoping you would look so shocked, Anon. You’re wondering how I knew you’d go for the jackpot. You’re cursing yourself for not realizing you’d have to pay for the entrance fee to my casino, despite it obviously being a thing since you had to pay to stay. You are so shocked that I managed to figure out the tropes before you did, and are trying to figure out my grand master plan. Well, I already told you what that was, I just thought I’d get a few jollies watching you trying to thwart it.”

“But, how?! How were you so prepared?! That’s impossible!” You spat out. This had to be a dream, a trick, perhaps another fake world like the yak one!

“I really wasn’t prepared, that’s the best part. But I did have a lot of training for just this kind of occasion.” Jimmy pulled the beer tap down like a lever, opening the cabinets on the top of the bar, causing it to spew an almost never ending collection of dvds, blu rays, and video cassettes. They bury you, crashing into you. You had to slowly crawl out, and was befuddled by what he was showing you as you gasped for air.

“T-the hell is all this?! What does this have to d-do with anything?” What the hell was going on?!

“Tropes, Anon, tropes! As you’ve noted yourself, this entire universe runs on it! It took me a while to realize what you really meant, to accept that this is how things are, but I needed to if I was going to win. It’s funny too, I tried to get that idiot ‘king’ to join in on it, but he refused to believe in its power. I wonder if he ever realized what an idiot he was… Wait, I don’t actually care about that.” Jimmy said with despicable glee as he changed into his chaotic changeling form, still donned in a suit, as he jumped onto his media pile, looking at you with his shimmering yellow eyes as his sharkish tail swayed to and fro. “What I do care about is beating you, all of you! You’re just the shitty little appetizer for my revenge against Chrysalis. You know what this is, Anon, this is your human legacy giving me everything I need to rule the world! I know everything, I have learned every trick to ensure total domination! I am the captain! No, the KING! KING JIMMY! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” He began to laugh maniacally as you slipped backwards, down the mountain of media, back onto the ground. Jimmy hopped up on the pile above you, and looked down at you with a genuinely creepy smile. “Awww, poor Anon. Never thought in seven million moons that he could be beaten so easily. I made sure my time with Discord was a lucrative one. I am unbeatable, Anon, you are outclassed! You’ve forgotten what it’s like to be human, meanwhile I have mastered it! Any trick you pull? I can see right through it. So, the question is, what are you going to do now?”

You had no idea what to do about this.

Was this the end?
