//------------------------------// // The Fairy Stone // Story: I Made an AI Write a Soarin x Rainbow Dash Fanfiction // by IAmAVeryRealPerson //------------------------------// You and Rainbow Dash had been friends for a long time. She was there when you went through your rebellious stage, and she stood by you. Even though her feelings for you changed, she never gave up on you. You are a lucky son of a gun. Now, you sit at the top of the stairs leading into the Cloudsdale courtyard. It is a beautiful day out. The sun is shining. Birds are chirping. A gentle breeze is blowing. You spot two ponies sitting together near the stone well. You had a feeling that one of them was Rainbow Dash. You are going to have to act fast. You come down the steps quickly and join them. You say, "Hi. I saw you two sitting here and I just wanted to tell you that I love your friendship." The two girls look at each other. Rainbow Dash gives a hesitant smile. So, you go on. "I was hoping that you would be willing to go to the Cloudsdale Butterfly House with me. It would be very happy to show it to you." The two ponies look at each other again. Rainbow Dash blushes a bit. Finally, Dash says, "Yes. I would love to go with you." You turn to the other pony. "Is that alright with you, Princess?" The other pony tilts her head a bit. "Why wouldn't it be?" "Just making sure." You turn to Dash. "Let's go then." * * * You head towards the Butterfly House with Dash. You go on to explain to her more about the Butterfly House. It's a place were all the butterflies, bees, and other types of insects are kept, so that they may live and breed in peace. There, they are able to live out their lives as they please. You walk through the doors of the Butterfly House. You both look around. The room is filled with pots of all different types of plants. There are also small logs that act as benches. There is a counter with some pamphlets on it that describe the different types of insects and what they can be used for. Finally, you spot what you are looking for. There is a small grey box in the corner. You go over to it and look inside. It contains a single small rock. "What is this?" Dash asks. "A fairy stone." You say. "Fairy stone?" Dash says. "Yes. If I have one, I may call upon the fairy folk for help. When I was a child, my father gave me this. He said it would bring me good luck." Dash looks interested in the fairy stones now. She reaches her hoof towards the box and pauses. "Wait, what did you say? Your father gave you this?" "Yes. He said it was a fairy stone. I never knew what it was, but that it was a fairy stone." "Fairy stone? I've heard of those." Dash says. You want to use the fairy stone. You look up at the sky and point the stone in the direction of the sun. The stone glows a bit brighter. The colors change, and the stone begins to spin. Soon, the spinning stops and the stone has turned bright red. It begins to pulse with energy. In the distance, you hear a buzzing. The stone is pulsing so brightly that you can feel it even though you are far away. A small, purple mane appears from the stone. The fairy comes out of the stone and looks at you. He says, "Greetings, young one! Do you seek help? What shall we do?" You tell the fairy about your problems. The fairy takes out a golden feather. He puts it on the end of his pen and it turns into a magic wand. He touches the wand to the stone. The stone turns back to its original color, grey. The fairy places the stone back on the ground. The fairy looks at you and says, "There is a way to get the girl you wish, but it is a dangerous journey. We must go." He points out the door. There's a long hallway that leads to a staircase. On the staircase, there is a row of glass vials, filled with a purple, sticky substance. The fairy says, "If you put a drop of this on her, she'll fall in love with you instantly." He extends his wing to you as well. He asks, "Do you want to go on this journey?" You look at the fairy's wing. It is very hairy. It looks disgusting. You look at the purple stuff. You don't want to put the fairy's wing to any use. You look at the girl, Rainbow Dash. She's sitting on her own. She doesn't seem to notice you. You look at her again. She doesn't notice you. You go with the fairy. The fairy takes you to the edge of the clouds. You look down and can see the Earth. It is a beautiful sight. The fairy touches the purple goo. He says, "This is what you must put on Rainbow Dash if you want her to love you instantly. If you don't put it on, she'll probably hate you forever. I don't know of any way to get it off, so you'll have to find that out. I can tell you this, you won't be able to take it off. It will be on for the rest of her life. Be careful. Do what you want, but be careful." The fairy flies off into the sky. You stand there a moment before you continue on your journey. You go back to your friend. You notice that there is now a group around where she last was. The group is standing there talking among themselves. You look at Rainbow Dash. She isn't looking at you. She is looking straight ahead. Her head is tilted a bit to the side. You go over to her and successfully get some of the goo on her unnoticed. You say, "Hey, Rainbow." She doesn't respond. You walk to where she is. "Hey, will you look at me?" She doesn't respond. You walk up to her. "I said will you look at me?" She looks up at you. She gives you a big grin. You walk to her, but stop a bit away. You don't know what else to do. She walks to you. She stands right in front of you. You take a step back. You can feel your heart beating. She bends down and whispers into your ear, "Kiss me." You try to resist, but you can't. Your face twists into a smile. Your mouth is bent up to hers. You press your lips against hers. You don't know how long you stand there, but you and Rainbow Dash end up kissing. You two make out for a few minutes. When you two separate, she says, "That wasn't so bad." You say, "I wasn't expecting it to be that... you know..." She says, "Kissing. Yeah, I know. It's just something you have to do at some point in time." You say, "I didn't know it was going to be like that." That makes her laugh. She says, "You'll get used to it." You say, "Can I see you again?" She nods her head. You two continue to see each other as friends, but not as much. You don't spend as much time with her as you did before. It is weird, though, because you still wish you could be with her more. It feels like something is missing. Like something you're supposed to do is just not as interesting as it was before. The next day, she comes to see you. She looks at the ground. She says, "I have to tell you something." You ask, "Is it important?" "No," she says, "but... it is kind of." She takes a deep breath. "I like you." You say, "I like you to." She looks up at you. "I know we haven't talked to each other that much, but I just can't help it. I love you." You say, "I love you too." She smiles. "You're the only one I can be myself around." You say, "I don't want to lose you." "You won't." "Promise?" "Promise." "Good, cause I don't want to lose you either." She walks to you, and you both hug each other. * * * It's been about a month since you've been with her. You haven't seen any other fairies. You hope things remain the same with only you two as they say. * * * It's now been a few months since you two have been together. You've been thinking a lot about what the fairy said. You don't know if you did the right thing or not. You two have been talking to each other more. You spend more time with her. You two have also been seen by a few of the other ponies. You and Rainbow Dash are a bit worried. The other ponies act like you two are already married. You don't know what to do. You love her, but you aren't ready for all this. You want to be with her, but you also don't want to be with her yet. You think back to the fairy. He told you to be careful. You do care for Rainbow Dash, but you want to make sure you aren't rushing anything. You two decide to take things slow. You still see each other often, but you don't do anything more than talk. You two make plans to see each other as much as you can. * * * It's been about a year since you and Rainbow Dash became friends. You haven't really changed. You still like her, but you don't love her. You can hardly call it that, because you two haven't even been on a date. You two have talked about marriage many times, but nothing is official. You two haven't even discussed the matter of a wedding. You believe that you will get around to it. You two are very good friends. As good as you can expect any two people you would meet that have only known each other for a month to be. That is something you two would have to work out. As time goes on, you and Rainbow Dash don't spend quite as much time together. You don't see as much of her. She's still there if you do see her, but she isn't as often. The few times you do see her, she's with the rest of her friends. She spends most of her time with those friends and has less and less time with you. It is starting to feel like she only has time for the really important people. You aren't one of them. You start to wonder if you ever became one of them. You two were very close when you first met. But as time went on, that distance was put between the two of you. It wasn't that one time. You took it upon yourself to come between the two of you. You started to distance yourself from her. You don't know why. You are a bit worried about that. You never wanted to be like that. You tried to be nice to the other, but it didn't work out. You are very sorry that you did what you did. You realize that you've ruined things with her. You're not really sure how to fix this. You wish you could take it all back. You don't even know why you brought up the memory. But you can't. You try to be with her more often. You talk on the phone to her more. You see her when she passes by. You two talk often. But you can't make up for what you did. You just have to see her less and less. Your friendship with her comes to an end. But you can't bring it back. Unless, she gives you a second chance. You haven't talked to her in a few weeks. A few of your friends come to see you. You tell them you're fine, and they leave. You wonder if she's busy. No. She wouldn't miss you. You pick up the phone and dial her number. She answers. "Hello?" "Hey, it's me." "Oh, hello. Did you have a nice weekend?" "Yeah, it was good. How was yours?" "It was good. I went to the park." "I hope you didn't have too much fun, because we have a lot to do tomorrow." "No, I didn't go that long. What do you have to do?" "We have to stock up on groceries, and then we have dinner at night. Do you want to come?" "I can't. I'm busy tomorrow. Can I see you after that?" "Sure. We can do something then." "Alright. See you then." "Bye." "Bye." You hang up before she can say anything else. You go to bed. * * * You wake up the next morning. You two had made plans to do the grocery shopping the next day. You get up and get ready for your day. The whole day, you are preparing for tomorrow's plans until you are ready. * * * The next day, you go to the grocery store with Rainbow Dash. You remember what she liked. You remember what you did with the last time. It came to pass. You and Rainbow Dash return to your house to have the dinner. You do all of the cooking. You make the meal just the way she likes it. You two eat and she talks about her two favorite kinds of food. You remember what she did last time. You two are sitting around the kitchen. You can feel her looking at you. You did it. She's given you a second chance. You try to remember what other things you two used to do. You can't remember. You two haven't been together that long. You two talk for a bit. You ask her about her friends and what they do. She tells you. You two talk for awhile longer. It's almost time to go to bed. You and Rainbow Dash fall asleep together. * * * You two wake up in the same bed the next morning. "Hey." "How was your night?" you ask. "Good." "Do you want to do anything special for breakfast?" "Like what?" "Like anything." She looks at you. You're not sure what to expect. "I don't think so. Why?" "Well, there's leftover pizza in the fridge. We could have pizza for breakfast. Or, we could go to the store and get something else." "Pizza?" "Yeah." You roll out of bed and head to the kitchen. You make a quick stop at the bathroom. You're standing at the counter, cutting a piece of the pizza. "Let me do it." "No." "You don't know how." You step aside and let her slice the pizza. She cuts a large piece. "How did you learn to do that?" "I just asked my mom a million times. She showed me." You nod. You two finish eating. You go to the living room and turn on the television to see what news there is. There's nothing interesting. You turn it off. "Anything else?" You look at her. She's clean-shaven. You can't tell if she's done it on purpose. You decide to play along. "No." "Then, no." You decide not to say anything else. "Are you happy?" she asks. "Yeah." "Do you think I'm pretty?" "Yeah, of course." "What do you think of me?" "I like you." She beams. "Will you do me a favor?" "Sure." "Will you go to the fair with me?" Your eyes widen. "Are you asking me to the fair?" "Yeah." "Yeah, I'll go." You two finish cleaning up the kitchen and you go to your room. You two have decided what to do. "What time should we leave?" you ask. "How about three o'clock?" "I guess that would be fine." "See you at three, then." "See you then." You go to bed. You wake up a few hours later. Rainbow has already left. You look outside. It's still daytime. You look at your watch. It's a quarter to three. You look at your phone. There's a message on there from Rainbow Dash. She's twenty minutes away. You panic. You two will be late. You run to the door and look out. She's about a hundred yards away. You run to the window. She's still coming. You go to the door and look out again. She's almost there. You run to the window. No, she's looking at you. You run to the door. She's coming through the bushes. She gets out and comes towards the house. You open the door. You two embrace. You two kiss. You two are in each other's arms. There is nothing else in the world but each other. Your day comes to an end. You two go on a date. You two get to know each other. You two fall in love. You two get married. And live happily ever after. The Story Ends.
