//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: Surface into the unknown world. // Story: End Of All: Redemption. // by Neutral Boy //------------------------------// Eris's unconscious body fell into deep darkness of space for who knows how long. Her eyes open up, seeing that everything is all quiet, too quiet for her. "Hello?" She called out to anyone or any pony with none have responded back. She turns her long neck around for any sign of life, but nothing in complete darkness. "Maybe I should look to see if there's a way out." So Eris begins to float in the air space for any signs of sentients or objects hidden around somewhere. A small pedal of light majestic feathers appear before her sight, startling her and jumping back. "Okay that's unusual, what are these feathers doing here in dark space?" The majestic feathers seems to be floating away from her. "Perhaps these strange feathers can show me the way out." She follows them around from left to right and couldn't tell on how far they're leading her to. Groaning for being impatient, she frowns and hovers in front of the feathers. "Oh for the love of, I can't keep following them forever. Can you stupid feathers hurry it up?" They didn't respond as the feathers floated downwards, surprising her. "That's new." So she follows them down, noticing the colors around her are slowly starting to appear. "Alright, now we're getting somewhere interesting." Eris sees the feathers stop at the grassy field, making her think this must be the place. "So we ended up in a field of grass. What are you showing me that's so important?" She got her response when the eerie feathers starts to speak in her mind. 'Followwww. . . . . . the voicessss. . . . . . . your annnsweeeers. . . . . will shoooow youuuu. . . .' Confused of it, she saw the feathers disappeared in the grass field. "Okay then, follow the voices, thanks for the pep talk ominous voice coach!" Rolling her eyes and grumbling insults, Eris moves forward floating above the grass. She can hear the fainting sounds, thinking it's the voices the feathers were talking about. 'Walk onnnn. . . . .' The grass behind her seem to slowly change and she didn't notice it. 'Believe. . . . .can't understand usssss. . . . . . can't understand youuuuu. . . ' Black scorch colors can been seen as the grass slowly is dying out. 'They lie to usssss. . . . . . . . can't trust them. . . . . . . . whyyyyy. . . . . answerrrrrr. . . . . . . ' Eris stops and looks behind her, noticing the peaceful grass has turn to scorch ashes. "That, is disturbing, just focus on getting out of here and fast." She turns around and follows the voices that's strangely getting sadder. 'Your peace is a lieeee. . . . . . . . . all is gone. . . . . . . . no moreeee. . . . . . . . pleaseeee. . . . . . ' In the distance, Eris spots a blue door up ahead at the walls. "Finally, a way out, at least it so bad of following the feathers and it paid off nicely." Yet her mood went silent as the eerie voices grew loud and more darker. 'SHE CANNOT BE ALLOW INNN. . . . . .' All around her, the grassy fields caught on fire as a flood of lava starts to move in one her. "Whelp, that's my cue to leave!" Eris levitates fast to the door as the flames chases after her. Making it very close, she opens the door knob and quickly opens the door before closing it behind her. Sighing in relief, she collapses onto the ground to catch her breaths. "Next time, I'm booking in a travel that doesn't have me trapped in a contained room full of lava." After calming down for a moment and getting up, she looks to see that she's in another room. Only this one seem nice in the atmosphere and showing two stone pillars with a small figure in the middle who's sitting down not moving. "I wonder if this is where the feathers wanted to show me?" Eris hovers forward to the pillars, going in close to see who the figure is by them. She stop by the person a few inches away and tries to communicate. "Uh hello? I'm Eris, the spirit of chaos and disharmony. Are you the one who sent the feathers over to me?" However, she didn't get an answer. "Okay, play silent for all you want, but I'm having trouble of getting out of here. Can you at least do me a favor and something to communicate with me?! I want to know on why am I here and what were those voices behind that blue door! Please?!" The figure slowly raises a right hand and points to the center of the two pillars. Eris sees the center of the pillars, showing a reflection of the big mirror. She goes to the mirror and sees herself, only the mirror changes on the other side. The mirror shows the ruins of a peaceful land and surprisingly, her own kind is all dead and not moving. A voice behind the mirror laughs darkly in the background. "HAHAHAH!!! YOUR KINGDOM IS GONE FOREVER! YOUR MOTHER AND FATHER ARE DEAD! TINY ONE!" Another shift has shown her new home is gone, including the ones she has met. "POOR DELUDED CREATURE! THINKING SHE CAN CAUSE MISCHIEF, PRANKS, MAKE SENTIENTS INTO DISHARMONY PUPPETS, AND NEVER LEARN ANY LESSONS BEYOND THE YEARS BACK THEN! YOUR OWN DECESASED PARENTS WOULD BE SURELY ASHAMED OF YOU, ALWAYS THE TROUBLE MAKER AND NOT EVEN GETTING A BURNED SCAR PUNISHMENT FOR MAKING EVERYONE AROUND YOU TO DIE! She saw the mirror changes again and her eyes widen in fear of seeing every pony dead. "YOUR OWN ACTIONS HAVE BROUGHT UPON THE DOOM OF THE PLANET AND IT'S SPECIES!" Eris steps back from it as her tears are falling down her face. "N-No. N-No more. I-I don't want to see it anymore. I-I-I'm so sorry." "EVEN STILL YOUNG, YOU NEVER LEARN THE VALUE OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF CHAOS MAGIC! YOUR KIND IS DEAD! YOUR RIVALS ARE GONE! THE BALANCE IN YOU HAS CAUSED YOU TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF EVENTS, LEADING TO THE FALL OF PONYKIND! INCLUDING THOSE WHO YOU'VE WARMED UP TO! YET YOU HAD THE AUDACITY, THE NERVE TO BREAK THEIR TRUST! NOW LOOK AT WHERE IT HAS GOTTEN YOU! NOTHING, BUT DEATH AND DESTRUCTION BEYOND YOUR CHAOTIC PLAYGROUND!" "Stop. I get it. I didn't mean to-" "HEHEHEH IT'S ALL THE SAME RESULTS! NOW YOUR FUN OF MISCHIEF IS ALL TORN APART! YOUR PRINCES ARE DEAD! PONIES AND FAMILIES ARE GONE! NATIONS AROUND THE WORLD ARE TURN INTO RUIN! THE ONES YOU HAVE MADE FRIENDS WITH ARE DEAD! INCLUDING THE ONE YOU HOLD DEAR TO YOUR BLACKENED BROKEN HEART! ALL BECAUSE YOU RUINED THE LIFE OF AN INNOCENT SOUL WHO WANTED TO GO HOME AT LAST! IN YOUR CRUEL CHAOTIC PRANKS, YOU HAVE MADE A MONSTER FROM YOUR OWN DOING! EQUESTRIA IS NO MORE AND YOU WILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE AS THE DEAD AWAITS FOR YOU IN THE DEEPEST PITS BEYOND THE NIGHTMARES OF TARTARUS!" "No. . . no. . . . no. . . ." "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!" "NOOOOOOOO. . . ." Eris gasps in awake, her body sweating as she catches her breath and looks around. She finds out that she's in a forest of some kind. "Oh, what a scary nightmare. Where am I?" She thinks about it for a moment and her face went sad. "Now I remember, me and Dusk escaped and he pushed me into the portal." She gets up and dusts herself off before walking in the forest to somewhere. "Well then, I better go find out if there's any pony nearby still alive." In her walks, she can hear some familiar sounds of creatures. She spotted a couple of wooden wolves hunting a rock croc that has already killed a cockatrice and not letting any predators have it's meal. "Oh great, why am I not surprised to see timberwolves? Always so dangerous and hunting for preys." Grumbling under her breath, she goes into another direction away from the fight. She grabs some berries from above her on a tree branch and eats them. Upon looking for any sign of settlement, a familiar faint tune of humming halts her walk. "That voice. . . it can't be. . . . ." Eris then ran toward the song as it gets closer and closer to her ears. She quickly hides behind a tree, peeking at the side of it to spot a familiar yellow pegasus plucking a carrot. "Wait, the pegasus does look like Butter, but I can't make out the distance." She whispers. She notices the pegasus holding a carrot out for a white rabbit. "Alright Angel Bunny, that's enough food for now and let's head back home." She heard the mare said, confirming it's not a stallion. "Okay, this does makes senses that the mare's a counterpart of Butterscotch by the sound of her voice. Which must mean her animal friends are also a counterpart, along with every pony around the world." Eyeing the yellow mare, her thoughts were back when the last time she saw Butters and wipes her tears. "I really did screw up on letting him die. Some friend/future girlfriend I turn out to be." Looking down in sadness, her next thought occurred when Dusk gave her a final speech. 'Remember Eris; Don't just do it for all of us, do it for Butterscotch and the lost innocent soul.' Nodding to herself, she looks back up to see the mare is out of sight. "Keep it together, I won't forget my lessons and never break my promise to Dusk Shine. No matter what happens to me, I'll atone for my mistakes and make amends for a long time, even if it takes forever to do so." Thinking on what her first plan is to do, she used a little of her chaos magic to pop in a note paper. "If I'm in a different parallel world, which is a gender swap by the way, then that would mean I got sent back in time before the fall of Equestria. In order to prevent the dangerous events from happening again, I have to first confirm there's a possibility of Jessica Wright's counterpart is a male human. Then secondly, I'll travel back by the Castle of two Princes to see if the Tree of Harmony is still intact. Plus I'll need some time for my chaos magic to recharge back up, I can't keep walking for months." Writing down all of the plans, she makes the note paper disappear into her mind bank and go find the human. "In walks like these, I would've prefer sizable heels for my aching feet."
