//------------------------------// // The one and only chapter // Story: Morning Sun // by Silent Wing //------------------------------// Princess Celestia was slowly waking up, upset that the dream had to come to an end so soon. She greatly enjoyed it, even if she missed her chance once again   Well, not exactly missed it. She simply was too much of a coward to ask that incredibly handsome stallion out. Why, that's something she can't tell.   She faced Tirek, Discord, and many other foes without even a hint of fear, and walking out victorious. However, when it comes to Blank Page, her legs turn into jelly and it costs her a lot of effort not to stumble over her own words.   Only when he thinks they are teasing her nice, she manages to get a semblance of control back. Still, those are far too rare and much faster than she likes.   She thinks hard about it before she realizes something shocking. Her sister had already lowered the moon. Against what she wants to do, she hesitantly gets up and walks onto her balcony to raise the sun, knowing that if she doesn't do it anytime soon, her sister would complain about her tardiness for the rest of the day. That would be something she definitely doesn't want to deal with.   Mere moments after her job is done, she hears the door of her room being opened. "Good morning Princess Celestia. I have your schedule right here."   When the Princess, unlike usual, doesn't ask her for more details, Grey Velvet finally gets the courage to ask. "Princess Celestia, is something wrong?"   Instead of giving a verbal answer, the solar alicorn gives one last glare at the sun and turns around, mumbling something about a stallion she can't ask out.   "What was the Princess," Grey Velvet manages to ask before, without any form of warning, she is picked up by the Princess, who begins to walk in the direction of her bed. "PRINCESS," she manages to squeak out in shock, taken totally off guard by "her charges" strange behavior.   "I need to snuggle somepony for fifteen minutes and you are the closest one." Is the alicorns blunt reply, ignoring the complaints coming from the mare she is floating around.   "Am I a rebound pony," Velvet asks when they are finally settling down in Princess Celestia's gigantic bed.   "No, you are a pillow. Now stop talking pillow."   While Grey Velvet doesn't fully agree with her reasoning, she finds herself unable to complain, enjoying the situation far too much than you would consider appropriate. Especially when she finds the wings of the mighty alicorn wrapping them around herself, the last bits of resistance vanish from her mind.   While she knows that there aren't many appointments for the day she can't help but to think that she forgot something very important. Still, she finds herself far too comfortable to care at the moment.   "Velvet, you think being sick would be a believable excuse for playing hooky?"   "What about the meeting with Prince Blueblood and the other nobles?"   "They'll manage," Princess Celestia replies before levitating some writing supplies from her desk and sending a short message to her sister.   Slowly nodding off again neither of them hears the soft knocking on the door. Even if they had they would probably have ignored it.   While Grey Velvet doesn't see it, with her face deeply buried in Celestia's chest fluff, Princess Celestia sees it when the door to her room opens. Much to her surprise, a very pink pony princess enters with a look of worry on her face.   "Auntie Celestia, I heard you....," the alicorn of love begins, only to stop mid sentence when her eyes come to rest on the bed.   Silence dominates the air for several seconds before Celestia loosens the grip on the unicorn in her embrace and retreads her wings, allowing Cadence to take a perfect look at just who she is cuddling. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH," the very frustrated alicorn screams in shock, wondering why she hasn't seen that one coming.   Instantly, half a dozen Royal Guards rush into the room, fearing that something had happened to their Princes. "Are you alright, Princess Celestia," one of the guards asked, after deeming the room to be safe.   "I am alright, sergeant, but I fear that my niece is in need of some help," she replies, her gaze focused on the pale alicorn halfway between the entrance and her bed.   "I am alright, auntie," the alicorn of love replies just when one of the guards approaches her, ready to escort her out of the room. "And I have to admit, you really got me good there. For a moment I actually believed you and Velvet were a thing."   "Well, I can't deny that she has a very talented tongue," Princess Celestia replies, hoping that her current "pillow" will play along. After all, it is well-known how the stallion she desires so much, and she love to tease her favorite niece. And much to Celestia's relief, Grey Velvet gets the hint.   "But there is still so much I can learn from my little Celly here. She really manages to hit all the right spots." Hearing those words, the eyes of Cadence grow to the size of dinner plates from the shock she just had. Maybe they would have grown even bigger, but that simply isn't possible.   The pink pony princess looks like that for several seconds before her unconscious body hits the ground with a loud "thump."   Soon after that Princess Celestia begins to giggle like mad, not having expected Velvet to play along. "You did well to play along, Velvet, but you know that I only did this to mess with her?"   "How you and Prince Page love to tease Princess Cadence is well known throughout Equestria," the unicorn replies, successfully managing to avoid giving a direct answer.   Fully aware that won't be a satisfying answer for Princess Celestia, she waits for a few seconds before doing something extremely bold. With luck, her deepest fantasies get fulfilled today. "But if you want, we can find out if my tongue is indeed as talented as you claim. And before you say anything, we both know that you need it as much as I do."
