My Little Pokémon

Breakout with some Light

Manehattan. Nightfall.

Nightfall in Manehattan. All seems calm. Plus, some decorations for Nightmare Night could be seen steadily approaching. Some were asleep and some weren't. But a few ponies were on the move.

The Umbrage Thieves. They had just finished stealing some Pokemon from both the Pokemon World and Manehattan in just a few hours. Now, they were looking for a place to escape.

However, they had ended up capturing some Pokemon that were not wild. They still had Pokemon that belonged to trainers, however. They had advanced from owned Pokemon now as they looked around.

Unfortunately for the thieves, they had pursuers. In the form of Officer Jenny. She had tracked them down alongside other police officers. They came all the way from the Pokemon World to Equestria. The officers had backed the group into an alleyway. The darkest corner of it.

"You all," Jenny said before hopping off her motorcycle. "You're all under arrest. 40 captures in one night. BIt less than your usual amount."

"Arcanine!" Arcanine barked at them. But surprisingly, the Umbrage Thieves did not put up a fight. They just raised their hooves, accepting surrender as they dropped the Pokemon.

At the moment, the Umbrage Thieves had low morale and less coordination for one reason. The disappearance of Skyblue Shine. Ever since she left to have her own adventure understanding herself and choosing who she was, the thieves were thrown off balance afterwards. Skyblue Shine was the one who could keep them in sync.

And so, they were arrested by Officer Jenny and her forces. The Pokemon were all returned to their original owners afterwards. An easy capture for Jenny and her team.

Sinnoh. Dandelion Island. Nightfall.

A police department could be found in Dandelion Island. The island itself was relatively small. It was covered with mountainous and forest terrain. Dandelion Island is most often visited as a restock point for ships in the town on the southern coast of the island.

A place like this would barely be noticed. The Umbrage Thieves had been placed in here by Officer Jenny. They were being held accountable as Jenny made the reports, writing away and wasting heaps of ink in the process.

And ever since both words have acknowledged each other, thanks to Canterlot, Officer Jenny and every other authority had received items to deal with pony prisoners. Magic restraining cuffs for unicorn horns.

However, as they had been brought here, despite all of them looking grim, one of them was smiling. As if they had something planned. The group of thieves were being sent to their jail cells as the one smiling noticed a certain pony being restrained along with another.

Luster Dawn and Obsidian

This was where they were. The one place that wouldn't be noticeable to many if not anyone at all. Dandelion Island was the perfect place to hide them due to it being not so common.

Luster Dawn and Obsidian had been locked up after their crimes had been found out. And thanks to these magical restraints, they could do nothing. By the look on their faces, they were not happy. Being trapped here for a few months, unable to call for help. Luster Dawn never got the chance to join the invasion or even knew about the Empress' failure.

Each of the Umbrage Thieves was placed within certain cells, mostly separate from each other. The pony that was smirking was placed in the cell across Luster Dawn. Afterwards, the guards showed up to keep watch.

"Great." Luster Dawn sighed. "Just add that to the pile of failures on our side."

"Maybe you won't be for long. All of us won't." Just then, the Umbrage Thief had revealed herself, appearing from the shadows. Except, she wasn't an Umbrage Theif. She was just posing as one.

It was Tempest.

"Tempest?!" Luster and Obsidian gasped. "They got you too?!"

"Shh." Tempest hushed Luster as the guards kept a good eye on them. Tempest smiled, seeming unbothered by all of this as she had given herself up. Luster would have never expected Tempest to be captured due to how skilled she was.

But in truth, after seeing Tempest's smirk and unbothered face, Luster knew that her fellow unicorn had planned this. Not only that, but despite the magical restraints, Tempest was able to utilize the Telepathy Spell on Luster and Obsidian. They couldn't use the same spell due to their restraints, but they could still hear what Tempest had to say.

"H-How are you...?" Obsidian stuttered.

"The Empress taught me a few things. Such as situations as these. You have a lot to learn, Luster Dawn."

"Fine, fine." She scoffed before speaking silently. Luster Dawn and Obsidian made sure to choose their words carefully so that the guards would not suspect a thing. "Just say what you need to say."

"Finding you wasn't easy. We had searched a majority of this world's prisons just to find you. Skyblue Shine and others failed miserably. So, I suspected they would keep you in a secluded and less known area. I had tried other obscure locations in the past weeks such as Milos Islands, Greenstation Town, Neighbourly Town, Misty Village and so much more. The smallest were my decisions. And after going through a few of them, here are we."

"What about the Empress? Is she worried about me?" Luster asked.

"If by worried, you mean annoyed. The invasion ended a few months ago. The Empress had lost. Mostly because I was absent, let's face it."

"Th-The Empress lost?! Impossible!" Luster Dawn screeched. The guards thought that Luster Dawn was going crazy, seemingly speaking to herself. "I should've been there! Then we would've won!" Tempest then decided to speak normally without telepathy while Luster was having a breakdown.

"Oh please. You and I both know that wouldn't happen." She shook her head. "You would've lost during the first night to an Electric-Type. That much is true."

"Hmph." Luster scoffed before crossing her hooves. Tempest then went back to using the Telepathy Spell.

"Anyway, aside from that. There are two things you must know. Our base of operations have changed to Universe 35 now. We're also heading out to a certain location out in the Pokemon World. Somewhere in Hoenn. A Sea Temple."

"A Sea Temple?"

"Yes. Otherwise known as Samiya."

"Oh, I know about that place." Obsidian leaned forward. "Now I'm interested.

"The Empress believes a great power is hiding there. Soon, we'll have to check it out. And the Empress wants you...and I guess Obsidian on that mission. Then again, with great supervision, since you know..."

"Tch. Yeah, I know." Luster crossed her hooves.

"Plus. We may have to get there before Daybreaker can."

"Daybreaker?" She lowered her hooves at Tempest's words. She didn't expect Daybreaker's name to come up. "Her too?"

"Daybreaker knows about it. So she'll go after it. If anything, out of everyone here, she moves the fastest and wastes no time at all. Aside from that, here's how we're going to escape from this place."

Equestria. Out in the mountains.

At the moment it was close to the morning. The moon had yet to set and the sun was waiting patiently. Currently out here was the alternate universe Flurry Heart, currently being guided by Flash Sentry and a few other guards from the Crystal Empire.

Some more Pokemon sightseeing was due. And obviously, Flash and the guards were obviously exhausted as they had been out here for a while. From 1:00 to 5:30. Flurry Heart wasn't as tired, but she was on the verge. She had a lot of energy to spare after being so excited with Pokemon.

"Princess. Can we head home now?" Flash groaned, trying to stay awake. "We guards have lives too, ya know."

"Eeyup." The rest of the guards nodded.

"Yeah, I know. Sorry, I got a bit carried away. But this was a pretty successfully night, wasn't it? I got to see some Machamp casually suplex each other. How fun was that?" She squeed.

"Bit terrifying if you ask me..." Flash scrunched his face. "They do that regularly?"

"Anyway. Where did we end up?" Flurry looked around. They had definitely ventured out in the more obscure parts of Equestria, far from home. This area didn't have a unique name yet. At best, it was just known as the mountains.

The group might as well be lost. But not entirely. Pokemon like Morelull, Shiinotic, Shinx, Vulpix and other Pokemon that can give off light were lighting up the mountains at night. Plus, Flurry Heart could just teleport back.

The way they brought upon light made the skies look better. Flurry Heart and the guards took a moment to look at this view, despite their current stamina. The night sky was it up thanks to these Pokemon. Seeing the stars with Pokemon influencing them is truly something special.

The Minior in the sky just made it better. However, as they sat down to watch, that's when Flurry Heart and soon everypony else noticed something unusual. One of the Minior had suddenly lost its glow. The light that the Core Form usually gives off had vanished.

Afterwards, Minior started falling. But not how it usually falls to the earth on a regular basis. This one was different. And Flurry Heart immediately gasped, seeing the Meteor Pokemon revert to its Meteor Form.

She used her magic to catch the Rock-Flying-Type, rescuing its life. She then placed it on her hooves for safety before descending.

"Are you okay?!" She asked.

"Minior..." The Meteor Pokemon groaned as the light from its body had been sucked away. But it wasn't just it. The guards all pointed their hooves to the sky, alerting the princess.

The rest of the Minior above were starting to fall as well with their lights being absorbed, forming them out of their Core Forms. Much like the first Minior, they all started falling without any control. Less control than they usually have. Flurry Heart squealed as she would need to use a majority of her magic to catch these Minior.

And so she did. The young alicorn managed to catch them all safely. Her magical talent and potential greatly helped in this without a doubt.

"What's happening?!" A confused Flurry Heart looked to the skies before placing all of the Minior on the ground. "Flash! Get some Potions!"

"Yes!" Flash and the guards looked at their saddlebags, seeing if they had any Potions for the Minior. Or enough is the better word for it.

But as they searched for these healing items, Flurry Heart noticed another form of light go out. This time from one of the Electric-Type Pokemon living here. She saw the electricity vanish. But not in a natural way. The electricity was being distorted, almost as if something had sucked it up.

She then saw some of the fire lights vanish as well. From how they were disappearing, Flurry Heart had to see this for herself. "All of you! Please take care of the Pokemon!" She immediately flapped her wings, heading towards the area.

"Princess!" Flash noticed her flying off. Immediately, he chased after her. The rest of the guards had already gotten out their potions, using them on the Minior to try and heal them.

However, as they sprayed them Potions, Super Potions and even Hyper Potions, there was no effect. Usually, they would work. But not at all. The Minior were unaffected by the potions, much to the surprise of the guards.

Meanwhile, Flurry Heart immediately arrived at the scene before the final light of a Morelull could fade away. She stayed airborne, flapping her wings before freezing with terror and shock in her eyes and heart. Flash also stayed airborne, coming to a screeching halt beside the young alicorn. He also saw what Flurry Heart saw.

The Pokemon that had given off light were all on the floor, seemingly unconscious. Shinx, Shiinotic, Volbeat and other Pokemon were immobile after their light disappeared. This was more than just being unconscious during a Pokemon Battle. It looked like something worse. And there were two culprits that stood right before Flurry Heart and Flash Sentry as the last Morelull had its light absorbed.

Daybreaker and Necrozma.

"M-Morelull..." Morelull cried out as Necrozma tossed it to the side, absorbing all of its light.

"Great auntie, Daybreaker!" Flurry Heart gaped as Daybreaker looked over.

"Oh. Flurry Heart. Fancy meeting you here." In her usual condescending tone, she greeted her fellow alicorn. "I see you have Flash Sentry with you tonight. A nice match." She winked.

"Princess Celestia...?" Flash was just as surprised as he also focused his attention on Necromza, taking out his Pokedex. "And what is that?"

"Necrozma. The Prism Pokemon. Reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts, this life-form, apparently asleep underground, is thought to have come from another world in ancient times. Light is apparently the source of its energy. It has an extraordinarily vicious disposition and is constantly firing off laser beams that will cut anything to pieces. Living in the underground has granted impurities accumulated within it, causing its body to darken."

"You did all of this?!" The young alicorn roared.

"Well, it was mostly Necrozma here. I helped by sending it out." Daybreaker nudged the Prism Pokemon. "But I would've thought you were more surprised about me being in this universe."

"I am! But what is this?!" Flurry Heart navigated her hoof over the fallen Pokemon that had their light taken away from them. "You've hurt these Pokemon! Are you here to invade like auntie?"

"Invade? No-no." Daybreaker used her wings to form a feather finger, wagging it while kissing her fanged teeth. "I'm actually doing this for Necrozma. To help it."

"Help...it?" Flurry Heart pulled back after hearing that response.

"Mhm. You may see all of this as bad and I'll agree it does look shifty, doesn't it?" Daybreaker stood in front of the Prism Pokemon. "But in truth, it's to benefit my partner. You heard what that little mechanical dictionary said right?" She pointed her hoof over at the Pokedex.

Flash's Pokedex did explicitly say that Necrozma absorbs light. And from what they had seen, it most definitely does. A majority of it. It also explained what happened to the Minior.

"You're helping your partner Pokemon?" said Flurry Heart.

"I am. Necrozoma's a bit grumpy since it looks like this. It needs light. Light for it return to its true form. Whatever it looks like. I'm just helping it reach that as much as I can. As friends. Nothing wrong with that, right?"

"W-Well...no." Flurry Heart shook her head as Daybreaker had her in a bit of a differing state. She was not opposed to helping others, especially if it was for their health. Although, it was hard to tell if Necrozoma was healthy or not. "But, did you have to harm the Pokemon?! Why can't you absorb light in your own world?!"

"Are you insane? My light is my light." Daybreaker puffed her chest while scoffing. "Necrozoma will feed on light from other worlds except for mine. I wouldn't want my subjects living in total darkness, would I? Who am I, Luna? Hohohohoho!" She then chuckled pompously.

"Forget that!" Flash Sentry stepped in front of Flurry Heart. "Not only are you a part of the Empress' alliance, but you assisted in harming Queen Pyrestar and her capture. By law of Equestria and the Crysta Empire, you, Daybreaker are under arrest."

"Oh. Pssh. Please." She stuck her tongue out. "Like you can do anything. Besides. I'll be leaving soon. This world, as opportunistic as it is, is not my objective right now. I have places to be and lights for Necrozma to absorb."

"So...you're not here for us?" Flurry scrunched her face, still feeling cautious.

"Not at all. Unlike your very disappointed and frustrated auntie, I hold no ill-intent towards you, Flurry Heart." Daybreaker shrugged before grinning. "But, before I take my leave, I have an offer. Would you help me gather a bit more light?"

"Absolutely not." Flash Sentry intervened with an answer as he held out his Poke Ball. "You won't be allowed to harm any more Pokemon and-"

"Wait." Flurry Heart interrupted, suddenly getting in front of Flash. "You can absorb light. But please. Absorb something that won't harm anyone."

"P-Princess! What are you doing?!" A flabbergasted Flash asked. Flurry Heart just looked at him, giving Flash a look that said 'Trust me'

"Light that won't harm anyone? Hmm..." Daybreaker grabbed a nearby mushroom, roasting it with her Fire Breath before eating it. "That would insinuate life from lifeless beings like lightbulbs or lamps. That's less fun."

"But it's the safer way. No one will get hurt and Necrozma will have light to consume." Flurry Heart suggested. "Please. I don't want anyone to get hurt."

"Geez, you're soft." Daybreaker pouted. "But, I'm not here for long anyway. So, sure. Give Necrozma some light here and we'll be on our way. And don't think about trying to capture us, pegasus boy. You won't get even get close to me."

"Why you...!" Flash was immediately provoked from that.

"Flash. It's okay." Flurry Heart stepped in again. She chose to vouch for Daybreaker at this moment. "I'll make sure nothing bad happens. Okay, great auntie. You can take the light from me."

"You?!" Flash looked over at the young alicorn.

"You?" Daybreaker repeated with the same reaction.

"Yes. I can give you some magical light. I know you won't give up your own light. So have some of mine." She had willingly showcased her magical aura, choosing for Necrozma to absorb it. Flash just had his jaw out the entire time.

"My. I guess your softness has its benefits. Very well. Necrozma. Eat up." Daybreaker allowed the Prism Pokemon to consume Flurry Heart's light.

The Psychic-Type approached, gladly wanting Flurry Heart's light. It was also wondering how good alicorn light was. Flurry Heart stood there, radiating her magical aura as she did not move a muscle.

However, the moment Necrozoma got close, that was when Giratina's Poke Ball promptly reacted. Within the Ultra Ball, Giratina sent a pulse of Antimatter that pushed Necromza back. The Renegade Pokemon did not take kindly to any threat to Flurry Heart as the ball started shaking.

"Giratina. It's okay." Flurry Heart spoke to the Ghost-Dragon-Type, reassuring him that all would be alright. Giratina trusted Flurry Heart, allowing Necrozoma to continue.

After that, Necrozoma had absorbed the light from Flurry Heart's horn as if it was a vacuum. The magic lights were being distorted, spiralling into Necrozma's body. Flurry Heart winced as the feeling was tougher than she thought it would be. But she endured.

Flurry Heart then ended her light, only allowing Necrozoma to take a bit of light. Necrozma then backed away, floating beside Daybreaker.

"Well. How kind of you, niece," said Daybreaker. "Necrozma certainly enjoyed that."

"There. Will you go? And not harm anyone else here?"

"Hm...sure. Since you offered some of your light. I suppose I can lay off this world in the meanwhile."

"Meanwhile?" Flash didn't like the sound of that.

"Ah, I wouldn't worry too much. Return, Necrozma." She recalled the Prism Pokemon as she then opened a gateway behind her. "Well, it's good to see you're doing well, Flurry Heart. Take care. We'll certainly be seeing each other later on. Toodles~" She gave her goodbyes before entering the gateway, leaving.

"Princess. Are you okay?" Flash went to Flurry Heart who had held her head. Having light, AKA magic being absorbed from her body was a bit draining. Thankfully, she had amazing magical potential to keep herself steady.

"I'm fine. All's well that ends well, right?" She chuckled, staying optimistic.

"That was very reckless, princess. You could've been in grave danger in that instance. Are you sure you made the right choice?" Flash asked.

"Great auntie Daybreaker's always been nicer to me than auntie. She's dangerous but I know that she's always being honest and telling the truth."

"Really?" Flash squinted. "Because she's honest?"

"Mhm. I know she is. But, maybe I did mess up by letting her leave since she's sort of wanted."

"It's fine." Flash sighed. "She's already gone now. Let's just head home and I'll give the report." Flash said as Flurry Heart nodded. They would leave, but not before tending to the Pokemon that were still harmed. But they would soon come to find out that their lightsource was no longer present as Flurry Heart picked up a Shinx.

"S-Shinx..."

"Here." She sprayed a potion on it. But it had no effect. "Nothing?"

Its light's been taken away, princess. I'm not sure that-" But before Flash could finish, Flurry Heart had personally given Shinx her own magical light.

And by doing so, she managed to restore the light in Shinx, making the Electric-Type energetic again. And it showed this energy by instantly shocking Flurry Heart with 40,000 volts out of excitement and gratitude. "Shiiiiinx!"

"Guh!" Flurry Heart stammered as she and Flash had been shocked. She then coughed smoke as Shinx nuzzled her. "Y-You're welcome."

"Shinx!"

Dandelion Island. Police Departmant. Morning.

Early morning.

It was time for Tempest to free Luster Dawn. And it would be done without wasting any time. Tempest could still use her magic despite the restraints due to a trick the Empress taught her.

The moment the guards went to grab some food and bring it back, Tempest did the most obvious spell. Teleporation. Except, she only brought Luster Dawn and Obsidian with her, leaving behind the Umbrage Thieves.

"She left us." A thief said.

They had teleported to the outside of Dandelion Island. Just on the outskirts. Afterwards, Tempest casually removed the cuffs off her horn as if they were nothing. She then used her magic to blast away the other cuffs.

"How did you do that? Using your magic while restrained?" Obsidian asked.

"It's call the Radial Trick. The Empress invented it, knowing that one day, she could end up having her horn restrained. She taught it to me due to how much she trusts me." And to add insult to injury, Tempest smirked at Luster Dawn.

"Mmmrgh...!" Luster did not like that one bit since she considers herself Empress Twilight's favourite. "Just get on with it. When are we heading to this stupid Sea Temple?"

"Soon. And when we're ready. First. Let's head back. The Empress won't be happy that you've been gone for long. But, she will be happy about my successful mission. As always."

She taunted Luster Dawn before opening up a gateway to the 35th universe. Tempest had made a successful mission in retrieving Luster Dawn and Obsidian. But more than that, Daybreaker is now allowing Necrozma to absorb light. Both sides are set to go for Samiya. The Sea Temple. An ever-moving island that had no consistent location. But that wouldn't stop them as the journey continues.

Chapter 561 End.
