{Henry}

I woke up to the sound of rain. At least this time I was indoors and not outside by a tree. Every time it rained it irked me because it reminded me of the time I first woke up as an experiment, property of Lab 14. Well, I'm not their property anymore. Even though I'm now a god that rules over the In Between, I still have to deal with my memories of growing up at Lab14, coming back one by one. 

In the memory that I'm having at the moment, I was young, how young I don't know. I was in my room at Lab 14, playing with some strange toy. It was a round ball that had different shapes and sizes of anything from triangles, circles, and even squares. To unlock the ball, you had to put little blocks in it and the correct color slot. Once you got everything in the correct place, it would open. Or that's what that witch Cora told me. It made me start thinking that it was part of another experiment that she did with me. 

I kept playing with the toy, hoping I got all of the blocks in the correct color spots to get the ball to open. I looked up to see Cora sitting there smiling at me. 

"Wow, Experiment Henry!" Cora said. "You love playing with that toy! It looks like it's your favorite one." 

"I don't know, I just want it open already!" I said. "But I can't and I don't know why!"

Cora looked at me curious about something, "Hmm, let me see."

She took the toy from me and examined what I had done so far. "It looks like you don't have the blocks in the correct color slots."

I titled my head, "Huh?"

Cora then manually opened up the ball and dumped out the blocks I already had in it. "What did you do that for mom?"

"I just want to see something, that's all. Try and put the blocks in there again." Cora said. 

I groaned, "Fine, I already had half of them in there."

I did as Cora told me to and I was frustrated that once again, the ball didn't open.

"Hmm, interesting, this might be a side effect," Cora said. 

I paused, "A side effect of what?"

Cora shook her head, "I can't tell you, it'll throw off the results from the data I need."

"Oh. Mom?" I said. 

"What?" Cora said.

"Can I play with that other form I can change into? You know, the one where I'm on all fours. It looks really cool and I look completely different with it! What's it called?" I said.

"It's called a unicorn and you can't play with that form today," Cora said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because you're having your play date with Experiment Rose today," Cora responded. 

"But I don't want to play with her!" I whined.

"And why not?" Cora said.

"Because she's weird and she creeps me out! I don't want to play with the other girls either!" I answered.

Cora gave me an annoyed look. "You're going to play with her whether you like it or not!"

"But-" I protested.

"You better play with them, or I'll take that toy away!" Cora snapped. 

I didn't want to play with those 'weirdos' Cora wanted me to play with. I'd rather sit in my room and try to work on getting that ball to open instead. 

I groaned, "Fine I'll play with that stupid weirdo."

Cora gave me a wicked smile, "I knew that was your favorite toy!"

Honestly, the toy wasn't my favorite one, I wanted to get it opened if it was the last thing I did.

"No, it's not my favorite toy!" I growled. "I'm just tired of you taking my things away!"

"Well, if you're tired of me taking your things away, then you will go and play with Experiment Rose and that's that! Got it?" Cora said. 

"Fine," I said. 

Cora took my hand and led me to go on this 'playdate' with Experiment Rose. After that, I snapped out of the memory and back to reality.

"It's about time you snapped out of it!" I looked over to see Derek sitting on a chair at the kitchen table next to me. 

When we became gods on the In Between, we set up our base back at the Inn where we first met. I was kind of wary about doing that, but since we're gods now, we used our powers to strengthen the barrier around it. 

I sighed, "Yeah I know and I'm getting sick and tired of these stupid memories I'm having about growing up at Lab 14!"

I looked at Derek to see that he was nervous about something.

Oh boy, I know what that look is for! I thought.

"There's something I want to talk to you about," Derek said.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to know what he was so nervous about. The last time he acted this nervous was when he decided to throw a surprise birthday party for me last year. "What are you up to? Not another surprise birthday party again? Because if that's the case, I think you're a little too early on that."

Derek snorted. "Your reaction to that was priceless! I'm glad I had a camera for that."

"Yeah and inviting my not godfather Discord. What were you thinking?" I said. 

"What? I was just thinking you can spend some quality family time with him, that's all." Derek laughed.

"Ha, ha very funny," I said. 

"Okay fine, you got me, I'm up to something," Derek said. "I'm just going to ask you this outright. Henry, will you marry me?"

Derek took out of his pants pocket, a small black box. I gasped when I saw a silver ring with a diamond on each side of it. I didn't have to think twice about my answer. I sat on Derek's lap and kissed him. Derek started laughing after that.

"What's so funny?" I said. 

Derek smiled, "You always do that when your answer is yes."

Derek put the ring on my necklace beside the ring I already had on it. Aunt Apple Bloom explained to me that the ring and the necklace were to help with what a pony can have growing up called power surges. They were supposed to balance your magic out, to help ease the pain from it. Usually, those start when a pony turns about the age of three. That's the exact age that Lab 14 stole me from my crib.

According to Aunt Apple Bloom, the power surges I would have would be so bad that I would pass out and sleep for three days straight. That made sense to her because I figured out how to do teleportation spells by the time I turned two years old! 

My parents Applejack and Rainbow Dash had no idea who my real parents are. Honestly, I could care less who my real parents are. To me, my real parents are Applejack and Rainbow Dash and not that psycho Cora. 

After Derek proposed to me I just said yes, I remembered something. It was something Cora would do every time I didn't get into a relationship with the experiment she chose. Somehow, she would find out who I wanted to be with and kill them in front of me, just to make a point. I know Derek and I are gods now, so we can't be killed. It still scares me that something might happen to him. 

I have no idea how Derek does this, but he seems to know when I'm worried about something.

"You're worried about something, aren't you?" Derek said.

I sighed. "Yes, do you remember Experiment Rose saying she was the one Cora picked for me to give her children?"

Derek nodded. "Yes."

"Every time, I didn't do what Cora wanted me to, somehow she was able to find out who I liked and she would kill them in front of me just to make a point," I said.

"You realize that's not going to happen to me right?" Derek said.

Even though I knew Derek was right, it still didn't stop me from worrying. I was snapped out of my worry with Derek laughing in my ear. "Huh?"

"I'm gonna say the same thing you said to me when I was afraid of leaving the In Between when we became gods," Derek said.

"Okay," I said.

"What part of the word 'god' do you not understand?" Derek teased.

I fell off Derek's lap on my back laughing because as always, Derek is correct.

{Leader Felix}

I'm getting sick and tired of Discord constantly popping up, he's popped up what, over a hundred times now? For some reason, he pops up every week at least fourteen times a day, and then he goes back to his universe. Of course, if Discord won't go back willingly, God Henry would get the opportunity to shoot lightning bolts at him and force him to go back. Most of the time that usually works. From what I can see, Discord is terrified of God Henry, and with good reason too. Discord's the reason why God Henry figured out he could summon lightning bolts because he pissed God Henry off. 

Now God Henry and God Derek are working with me to help free the children from the locations of Lab 14 before they destroy it. Unfortunately, they're children that decide to work with Lab 14 and those are the children that God Henry and God Derek deal with. I'm going to assume they kill those children. Honestly, I have no idea what God Derek and God Henry would do to those children, and I don't want to know. 

What's funny is that I never thought I'd see the day when I would have to call one of my top agents, god. God Derek and God Henry don't seem to like the title of god added to their names. God Henry I can see not liking another title added to his name because of what Lab 14 did to him. Yeah, Experiment Henry, property of Lab 14 my butt! I can't wait until God Henry gets a chance to kill the witch that runs the place, Cora. She's the reason why he lost his voice. Somehow, Lab 14 found a way to turn someone's voice box into a literal box, it can be taken out and put back in at any time. Both getting the box taken out and put back in isn't pleasant in the slightest. From what the kids traveling in God Henry's group told me, Lab 14 uses that as a form of corporal punishment. When Discord got assigned to break God Henry out of Lab 14, he failed to get God Henry's voice back for him. God Henry went without his voice for almost a year because of that. Fed up in dealing with Discord's incompetence, I sent one of my agents who just so happened to be God Derek's mother, Agent Liza to retrieve God Henry's voice. 

Then Discord pissed God Henry off by claiming to be his godfather and just making a pest out himself in general. Thankfully, Discord isn't God Henry's godfather, turns out Applejack and Rainbow Dash gave that job to Princess Twilight's assistant Spike. Which is pretty hilarious to me. 

I also still can't believe all of the children that were traveling with God Henry to the Resistance, are royalty now. Prince Milton and Prince Martin are Princess Twilight's two twin boys that Lab 14 stole from their cribs. Prince Milton is now married and his wife is Princess Jane. Princess Aria turned out to be adopted by Princess Cadance and Prince Shining Armor, Princess Sarah who is God Henry's little sister is married to Princess Aria. Then there's God Henry, he's royalty to the highest degree of it. You know, because he's a god now. I'm also happy that God Henry found someone to love and protect him as God Derek does. 

As I went over my paperwork I heard a pop signaling Discord's presence in my office yet again. I groaned. "What might be your reasoning for popping up this time?"

"I figured God Derek and God Henry might be calling you soon, I miss them!" Discord said.

I rubbed my temple, feeling nothing but annoyance with Discord. "Let me ask you Discord, do you really think God Henry and God Derek want to see you?"

"Well of course God Henry would want to see me!" Discord chimed. "I'm his godfather after all!"

"Uh, no you're not!" I snapped. "If I recall correctly, you're the reason why God Henry can summon lightning bolts when he's angry."

Discord shrank back in terror at the very mention of God Henry being able to summon lightning bolts when he's angry. I burst into laughter at Discord's reaction.

"That's not funny, Leader Felix!" Discord snapped. 

I kept laughing at Discord and he pulled on his beard to show his annoyance with me. I could care less if he's annoyed. The one that should be annoyed here is me.

"At least you don't have a pet name you didn't want." Discord growled.

"Oh, you mean Pestcord?" I said. "I think it's a wonderful pet name for you! That's exactly what you are! Considering how many times you pop up in my office for no good reason!"

"I'm not a pest!" Discord whined.

"You know, the more you say that the more people are going to think it's true," I said.

I got an alert on my desk which had a blinking light on it, which means either God Henry or God Derek is calling. Most of the time, it's God Derek that calls. Once the alert sounded, out of the button on my desk came a holographic screen that showed God Derek on it.

"Hi, Leader Felix," said God Derek, "it's good to see you again."

"God Derek!" Discord cheered. 

God Derek groaned, "Is that the voice of Pestcord that I hear?" 

I chuckled, "Yup, that would be him."

"I'm not a pest!" Discord protested. "I'm not that bad!"

"Honestly, I'm glad Henry's parents gave the job of godfather to Spike instead. Especially since you piss him off the most!" God Derek said. "I just invited you to Henry's birthday party last year as a joke. I'm surprised he didn't shoot lightning bolts at you then. Now that you think about it, I did have to hold him back quite a bit."

"Oh, before I forget," I said, "I want to congratulate you two on your engagement."

"Thanks, Leader Felix!" God Derek said with a smile. 

"Hey," said Discord, "you didn't thank me for it when I congratulated you! I'm God Henry's-"

"I swear Pestcord," God Derek growled, "you're NOT Henry's godfather! Get that through your thick skull already!"

"Yes, God Derek." Discord mumbled. 

"Oh and one more thing, Leader Felix." God Derek said. 

"Yes, God Derek?" I said.

"Give a warning to your agents not to get in our way when we're doing our job or I'll let Henry's next lightning bolt hit the mark! Got it?" God Derek said.

I nodded. 

"Haha," teased Discord, "Leader Felix just got reprimanded by God Derek! That's funny!"

"And that goes for you too, Pestcord!" God Derek snapped. "You're lucky Henry's asleep right now. I don't think he'd be too happy to hear your voice. Anyway, here's the location of where we're headed to next." 

I looked at the location and typed some keys on the holographic screen to record it. "Oh, are you guys going to be popping up at the Resistance HQ anytime soon?"

God Derek shook his head. "I'm not sure about that yet. Maybe, if Pestcord isn't around."

"I don't like that nickname!" Discord growled.

"Oh yeah?" God Derek snapped. "Well get used to it! You're getting on my nerves and you're getting on Henry's nerves the most! Oh, Henry's waking up, so I better go. I'll be sending the next location we're going after soon."

With that, the call ended and I turned to Discord. "If I were you, I would get lost and stop coming around all the time! Don't you have a job to do back in Equestria? How you got to be an assistant for God Levi and God Divine is beyond me! Now get lost, I'm trying to do some work here!" 

"Fine." Discord mumbled.

Thankfully, Discord snapped his claw and disappeared. I hope he stays gone.
