Twilight looked around wondering who sacrificed themselves, it took her a while to see a familiar lifeless body near the cave wall. 

“Trixie!?” Twilight asked, confused.

The Main Six watched Twilight walk over slowly, Flutterhy was crying while Applejack confronted her. 

“Did she just?” Twilight said quietly as she approached her.

Trixie’s hat laid on the ground near where she ended up, her cape had a stain from her blood along with being slightly tattered from the blasting beam. The cave was silent until Spike, Starlight and Sunburst arrived, Starlight looked around before noticing her friend.

“It’s over? Is everpony- Trixie!” Starlight shrieked as she saw her friend lifeless on the cold ground.

Starlight ran over to her, she sat down and stared in disbelief. Luna noticed a tear roll down her sister’s cheek and Twilight look at Starlight regretfully. Pinkie’s mane went all flat when she saw Starlight’s face, Applejack bowed her head in respect.

“Trixie!” Starlight cried.

Tears started to roll down her cheek as she picked her friend up in her hooves. Spike gulped not knowing what to say or do, he walked up to Twilight.

“Did Trixie...”.

“Yes, Spike” Twilight choked on her tears, “She did... she saved us”.

“Trixie! Wake up!” She cried as she shook her friend hoping for a reaction. 

Sunburst walked up to her, “Starlight she’s gone...” He regretfully replied.

“No!” Starlight shouted, “Trixie!, this is a trick right!? It’s not funny, please!”.

“Starlight...” Twilight said softly.

Tears from Starlight dripped onto the mare she was holding, she could not believe her friend was gone.

“Trixie...” Sobbed Starlight, “Please... anything! I’ll teach you any spell you want, I’ll never get angry at you again, I promise! Pinkie promise! Please just open your eyes...”.

“She saved us...” Twilight was still surprised, “She sacrificed herself to save everypony!”.

Starlight hugged her friend tight and burst into tears. She couldn’t believe she was gone.

“Please! I don’t want to lose you! You’re my friend!” Stardust begged, she didn’t hear or feel any pulse, movement, breath or heartbeat. 

Her ears dropped when she realised that her friends, indeed, was dead, there was no bringing her back, she did such a selfless thing. Starlight just wished she could have at least said goodbye.

“T-Trixie-e-e” Starlight sobbed hard as she hugged her friend’s lifeless body.

“Nooooo!”.


A month had past since Trixie’s death and funeral, Starlight was a bit better but still missed her friend dearly. Starlight kept most of Trixie’s belongings, especially her wagon and outfit. 

Trixie was buried at a very special place where she’d be recognised as the hero that she was, get the love she deserved after everything she did, she saved Equestria. She might not be around anymore but her dream came true, she was widely known, popular and famous.
