The world seemed to stop when Twilight spotted a familiar purple unicorn laying down lifeless near the wall of the cave. Tears poured from her eyes and she screamed her name out loud.
“Starlight!” She screamed as she ran to the body with tears in her life.
“No, no,no,no!” Twilight shouted in disbelief as she scanned Starlight’s body with her eyes.
The Main Six and the Princesses walked over with tears in their eyes, Pinkie’s mane was drooped, mascara ran down Rarity’s face, Applejack took her hat off and put it to her chest in respect, Rainbow tried to hide her tears by looking the other way.
“No...” Twilight sobbed she she sat there and picked Starlight up in her hooves, “Starlight!”.
Everypony watched as Twilight hopelessly tried to wake Starlight up, they didn’t know what to do or say. Twilight lightly shook her friend to get her to wake up.
“Come on, Starlight! Say something, anything!” Twilight sobbed, “Please!”.
Some of her tears fell onto Starlight’s chest.
“She’s gone” Luna sobbed.
Spike rushed in with tears in his eyes expecting Twilight to be dead, Trixie and Sunburst galloped after him. His face lit up when he saw Twilight but it fell immediently when he noticed Starlight’s lifeless body in her hooves, chest wet from her tears.
Trixie froze in shock, Sunburst put a hoof to his mouth. Spike walked up and gently touched Starlight, where the blast hit was stained in her own blood so her touched her hoof instead.
“Starlight...” Spike softly sobbed.
“Starlight!” Both Trixie and Sunburst shouted as they ran over to Twilight.
Twilight laid the corpse of the floor, more of her tears fell on the floor and Starlight’s hooves. She watched as her heart ached, Sunburst and Trixie also had tears in her eyes.
“What do you do!?” Trixie asked angrily.
“Trixie” Sobbed Sunburst, “Do you really-“.
“Why would you take my friend away from me!” Trixie shrieked.
Twilight didn’t say a word, she knew that Trixie was going through the stages of grief, she didn’t blame her for yelling at her, she wished she could have done something. Tears poured from Trixie’s eyes as Sumburst held her back from attacking Twilight.
“Starlight!” She shrieked as she wiggled from his grip.
Sunburst wiped his tears as Trixie hugged Starlight close, not caring about the blood getting onto her. Her tears fell onto her friend.
“Starlight...” She cried, she looked at Twilight angrily.
“I’m sorry Trixie... she-she jumped in front of us to take the blast... I wish I could have done something” Twilight sobbed.
Trixie put Starlight down and cried into her hat, Sunburst gave her a hug, she hugged him back and cried heavily. Twilight sat there sadly, Celestia gave her a hug with her wings and hooves, tears came from her eyes too.
“I’m sorry...” Celestia cried trying to confront her former student.
A day had past and all of Starlight’s friends, including everyone from her old town and the Princesses attended Starlight’s funeral. Everypony wore black and white, not even Rarity was wearing something all fashionable and fancy. Tears were shed by everyone, Trixie and Twilight were hit the hardest, they cried for days after the death of Starlight Glimmer.
