Canterlot. The Pokemon School.
Summer was nearing its end at last. But what a summer it's been. Some students had already made early returns to the Pokemon School before the due date.
"Glad to have you all back to school this early," Roxanne spoke to the students, welcoming them back. "And now that you're back, we can jump to today's task. Get ready. Because today, we're trading Pokemon."
"Trading Pokemon?" All of them said. Young and old equally as they currently in the same classroom instead of separate ones like usual.
"That's right. A temporary trade between each of your Pokemon among your classmates and friends. I want you all to get to know other Pokemon other than your own. And this is the best possible scenario for it. Plus, it was Fantina's idea in the first place. How does that sound?"
"That's not so bad," said Rainbow Dash as everyone agreed. "Wait, how many of our Pokemon?"
"As many as you want. Whether it's your whole team or a handful. Now, Fantina's already put up a bracket to show you who exactly swaps with who." Roxanne interacted with the board, showing the brackets as multiple faces of each student started appearing in pairs.
Twilight would swap with Pinkie. Rainbow Dash would swap with Fluttershy. And Rarity would swap with Applejack. Aside from the Mane 6, other ponies would swap with certain partners.
"Now. Your exchange will be for the weekend and then you'll switch your partners back this coming week. Make sure you take care of each other's Pokemon," said Roxanne. "Because I don't want to be at the front of many complaints."
"Here you go." Twilight gave Pinkie each of her Poke Balls while Eve went to Pinkie Pie's side. "You'll be fine without me, won't you, Eve?"
"Espeon!"
"Don't worry. You'll have a lot to eat back at SugarCube Corner. More than usual." Pinkie Pie looked at the Sun Pokemon.
"Uh...M-Maybe it's not a good idea to overfeed her."
"Never had this many Pokemon before. Just two." Applejack looked at the Poke Balls given to her by Rarity. Comparing Rarity's full team of 6 and how she had 12 Leavanny's, it was a big number for Applejack since she's only used to Sceptile and Golett.
"Fun, isn't it?" Rarity nodded. "If it gets a bit too overcrowded and plentiful back home just let me know. And be careful. Some of my Leavanny...and especially Milotic can get a bit fussy. But other than that, you should be fine. And I'll do well with you on my side, ride, Sceptile?"
"Sceptile!"
"Hope this doesn't throw my training for my next Gym Battle off but...here." Rainbow Dash gave Fluttershy all of her Poke Balls plus Castform who flew out of the saddlebag. Rainbow Dash could be seen trembling after giving them away.
"Rainbow Dash. Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked, witnessing her fellow pegasus scrunch her face.
"Totally...Just take good care of them, okay?" She whimpered, trying not to get too emotional.
"You don't have to worry. I know it'll be a while without your Pokemon." Fluttershy held Castform. "But you can always stop by the Pokemon House to see them, remember?"
"Oh yeah..." Rainbow Dash let out a sigh of relief. "That's right...Wait a sec. Where's Scorbunny?"
"Oh. Scorbunny's not my Pokemon. He just likes tagging along, that's all. But if you want him to be involved then I can try and convince him."
"So. Class will be ending early. Have a great weekend." Roxanne bid her farewell to the students as she would see them all next week on this coming Monday. But to fill in that time, they would have the chance to experience time with other Pokemon.
Ponyville. Day.
Since most of Ponyville's residents go to the Pokemon School, a lot of them had swapped Pokemon with each other. They would have to try and adjust to living with these different Pocket Monsters until the task is over.
Immediately after arriving at Twilight's Castle, Mew started flying around without wasting any time, showing his endless energy. So did Spinda as she ran around the castle.
"Right to it, huh?" Twilight said. "You've been here a few times so it won't be too odd to you all, right?"
"Mew!"
"Spinda!"
"And then the rest of you too." Twilight then used her magic to release the rest of the Pokemon inside of the remaining Poke Balls. The 6 Slurpuff originally owned by Pinkie Pie.
"Slurpuff!" While not having high energy as Mew and Spinda, most of the Slurpuff dashed off to experience the castle for themselves. One Slurpuff was too lazy to do so as he laid on his back, relaxing.
"Slur-Slur."
"So, you will have to care for them?" Nyx went up to Twilight. "Will it be fine?"
"It will. They're also my friends after all and they've been here a few times. What could go wrong?"
Carousel Boutique.
Meanwhile, over at Carousel Boutique, Sceptile had entered with Golett being released from its Pokemon. It wasn't just Rarity. Sweetie Belle had also forgone a swap with her friends back at the Pokemon School.
For her, she ended up swapping with Sapphire Flash's Pokemon. She was hoping to swap with either Scootaloo or Apple Bloom, but unfortunately, that fate did not happen. Sapphire Flash's Pokemon were Lilligant, Inkay, Dewpider and Shuppet.
"Shuppet." Shuppet started roaming the house, phasing through the walls of the boutique out of curiosity while Inkay just stood there on its head.
"Tile? Sceptile." Now that Sceptile was here, he wasn't sure what to do. Usually, he would help Applejack on the farm, but he wasn't on the farm right now so that was out of the question. The same went for Golett as it scratched his head, sitting there.
"Don't feel too alienated, you two." Rarity went up to them both. "You'll feel right at home here for the weekend. Isn't that right, Sweetie Belle?"
"Uhh...yeah." The little unicorn nodded while tracking her eyes on Shuppet who kept on moving. Dewpider crawled onto her head as Sweetie Belle wasn't sure what to do now that she had other Pokemon besides her own. "So...how are you all at contest moves?"
"Dewpider?"
Rainbow Dash's home.
Entering was Audino and Chikorita. It wasn't their first time here either as they were accustomed to Rainbow Dash's home. But living in it was a different story.
Rainbow Dash sat there, staring at Audino and Chikorita, unsure of what to do now that she had them for the weekend. She sighed, feeling stumped.
"Okay...now what do I do?"
"Audino." Audino didn't know.
"Chiko." Neither did Chikorita.
"Hmm..." The pegasus pouted before shifting her eyes. She then came up with the only idea that she knew of when it comes to Pokemon. "You guys wanna battle? I mean, I'm not gonna use you in any Gym Battles, but...I can't get sloppy. How does that sound?"
"Dino...Audino." Audino could get behind that as she and Chikorita nodded. It was a start and the only way to break this awkward silence.
"Sweet. Now let's see what you've got." Rainbow Dash's excitement was building up as he used her Pokedex to scan the two of them for their moves.
"Audino. The Hearing Pokemon. Hyper Beam. Protect. Heal Pulse. Refresh."
"Chikorita. The Leaf Pokemon. Magical Leaf. Aromatherapy. Synthesis. Tackle."
"Wait, that's it?!" Rainbow Dash gasped at the moveset as Audino shrugged. But, it was to be expected. Fluttershy isn't really a battle heavy-Pokemon Trainer like everyone else so it is what it is. "Oh, Fluttershy...And Mega Audino can't be activated by me at all. How am I gonna work with this?"
"Chiko?"
"I'll figure something out! You two. Let's head out and get to work!"
Sweet Apple Acres.
As for Applejack, she was dealing with the most Pokemon. 12 Leavanny, Pheromosa, Milotic and Ampharos. Quite a hoofful for her as all the Pokemon had been lined up. Apple Bloom ended up receiving Scootaloo's Pokemon.
Applejack had already decided what to do. The best and only thing to do was have them work at the farm for the weekend until this was all over. And so far, hers was showing the most promise.
Thanks to Pheromosa's height, she could grab apples easily. Not only that, but her kicking strength was so great that she could knock the apples off the trees as well. She was perfect for the role of a farmer.
"Nice work, Pheromosa!" Applejack applauded the Lissome Pokemon for being such an effective worker.
"Mosa." Pheromosa smiled, taking the compliment to heart. She always enjoys it when she gains praise from her friends. As for the Leavanny, they were doing their own thing.
Applejack knew that the Leavanny loved to make dresses. It's why they sync well with Rarity so much. So, to make them feel at home, Applejack had the 12 Leavanny craft whatever they wanted. Specifically for Granny Smith.
She wasn't going to Grand Galloping Gala this year, unfortunately. So, for compensation, making her a dress was the one thing Applejack could think of. And with the skills Leavanny had learned from Rarity and the natural skills they have as the Nurturing Pokemon, it was no problem.
"This ain't a problem." Applejack nodded before seeing Pheromosa use some of the apples as decorations. The influence Rarity had left her made the Lissome Pokemon dress herself in whatever she can find. Applejack chuckled after that sight. She felt at ease, knowing that Rarity's Pokemon were getting well with her.
Minus one exception. Milotic.
Milotic was currently sitting away from the rest of her friends, not really interacting with them. Milotic yawned as she was not interested in this little school project at all. Applejack wouldn't be able to bond with all of Rarity's Pokemon if one was exempt.
"Ampha. Ampharos." Ampharos went up to Milotic with a basket of apples, trying to convince her to join in. "Pharos?"
"Milotic." Milotic, once again, yawned, showing her disinterest in this. It wasn't just the project that disinterested her. It was the farm as well. She didn't find it all that enthralling as she waved her tailfin at Ampharos.
"Ampha." Ampharos was unable to convince her as Apple Bloom was riding on Ponyta's back, galloping across the farm.
"Yeehaw! Go, Ponyta! Go!" She cried out.
"Ponyta!"
"Ampharos. Don't worry about it." Applejack went up to the Light Pokemon and Milotic. "I'm sure she'll come around. We got two days after all."
"Lotic."
Fluttershy's Cottage.
Out came all of Rainbow Dash's Pokemon. Being here in Fluttershy's cottage for a few days would be a change of scenery for them, even more so than visiting Pegalysium or moving from place to place during a massive invasion.
"Castform!" Castform started jumping on Fluttershy's bed while Braviary decided to rest outside on a tree. On that same tree, some ordinary birds rested on Braviary's head as a symbiotic relationship. Luxray and Altaria were currently being fed at the moment. Whirlipede started rolling around to increase his speed as he circled Fluttershy's home.
"Just two days, all of you," Fluttershy said before giving more food to Luxray and Altaria. "I've never owned six Pokemon before. How fun! Isn't that right, you all?"
"Braviary." Braviary and the others agreed as Fluttershy saw their enthusiasm. However, there was someone who didn't agree and was currently doing her own thing, distancing it from Fluttershy.
That was Mienfoo.
"Mienfoo!" The Martial Arts Pokemon, much like Milotic, wasn't interested in this. However, hers was on a bit of a larger scale. Mienfoo was determined to improve as she was currently punching the trees with her paws to build up strength. The Flying-Types and birds flew off after reacting to the initial hit.
Mienfoo kept hitting the tree as she wasn't losing sight of what was important. Even if she wasn't under the care of Rainbow Dash right now, the Martial Arts Pokemon felt like she could do everything else on her own.
"Mienfoo." Fluttershy flew over with some food. "Would you like something to eat before you continue training"?
"Foo?" The Fighting-Type turned to face the pegasus. Fluttershy placed some food down for her as Mienfoo immediately kicked the bowl into the air. "Mien!"
"Oh!" Fluttershy gasped. Mienfoo then leapt into the air, chasing after the bowl. The Martial Arts Pokemon then devoured all of the food in the bowl to look stylish. Fluttershy applauded Mienfoo's trick. Mienfoo then ate the food in seconds before landing on the ground, crossing her arms.
"Mienfoo."
"Wow! That was impressive!" Fluttershy squeed before putting some more food in the bowl. "Will you do it again, please?!"
"Foo." Mienfoo turned around, continuing to punch the tree repeatedly. She was feeling hungry and that was just a quick snack. Aside from that, the Martial Arts Pokemon was as full as she needed to be.
"Right. I understand. You're training to become better. Well, don't you worry. I'll make sure you have all the time to train even without Rainbow Dash here. If you're feeling like it, head to the Fighting-Type room. They'll love to train with you."
"Mien?" Mienfoo actually took interest in that. She thought it would be boring being in a peaceful place such as Fluttershy's home. Fluttershy then went back inside, leaving Mienfoo to her own devices.
SugarCube Corner.
And as for Pinkie Pie, the following events went like this. Once emerging from their Poke Balls, Pinkie Pie had already treated the Pokemon to a welcome feast of their favourite foods.
"Ninetales!" Ninetales jumped into the pile of hotcakes without hesitation, stuffing himself. The Fox Pokemon immediately started devouring everything that was his personal favourite.
"Cinccino?" Cinccino looked ahead, seeing that some massive frosting from Ninetales' feast had gotten on her. And right on the face too while the frosting was still cold. "Cinn!"
"Eat up all of you. Your personal favourites. You'll be eating like kings and queens in this place!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed as Cinccino growled at herself getting messy. Togekiss then licked the frosting off of CInccino, doing the cleaning for her.
"Togekiss."
"Okie Dokie. How are you guys at...baking?"
"Esp?" Espeon and the others looked at her in response.
"Nothing, huh? Well, I knew that already. But don't worry. I can teach you how to bake with me. Then, you'll get to make your favourites as much as you want with Twilight. Sound good?"
"Ninetales!" Ninetales burst out of the hotcakes, agreeing to that. Cinccino and Togekiss also agreed as well. Espeon, while a bit hesitant to overdo it, would like to learn herself.
Absol wasn't interested. One common theme between each friend group was that there was one Pokemon that was just not interested in things. Pinkie Pie began showing them how it was done and how they could bake and cook all they want with their personal favourites.
And with that, Friday was about to end with Saturday incoming.
Saturday. Twilight's Lab.
The morning had come. And over at Twilight's Castle, things weren't going so well for Twilight. Mostly with Mew and Spinda. Their playful natures meant that they were rambunctious and hyperactive every second. They barely had time to slow down and the only time they do slow down is the night. They had more energy than Ninetales. But, Twilight managed.
"You two...Do you ever slow down?" Twilight sighed.
"Mew-Mew!"
"Spinda!"
As there was a moment of silence, Mew brought over a plethora of toys that he had retrieved from SugarCube Corner via teleportation. He placed the toys in front of Twilight before circling her. He also brought over some Pokemon Food, placing it down too.
"You just ate. And playtime already? We just had it last hour. I was kinda hoping to study you, Mew. After all, you're the ancestor of all Pokemon, aren't you?"
"Mew?" Mew tilted his head before lifting a toy at Twilight, shaking it. The toy made sounds when it was shaking.
"Fine. We'll play one more time for a bit and little more food. It helps bond with you some more." Twilight stood up, grabbing the toy and food with her magic. She decided to play with Mew and Spinda a bit more. She then poured the food into the bowl for Mew to chow down on. At the same time, downstairs, a delicious scent could be sensed.
That scent came from the craftwork of the 6 Slurpuff. They had simultaneously used Sweet Scent, sending a beautiful aroma through the air. Aside from that, they also brought over some food. Since they're under the care of Twilight and Pinkie Pie, they have nothing to make. Barely a kitchen.
Twilight paused to pick up on the scent as the Slurpuff had all entered with food that Twilight absolutely adored. AKA, Hayburgers and other foods that she enjoys.
"Oh! You got me hayburgers!" Twilight tossed the toy aside before zooming towards the hayburgers. "Thanks, Slurpuff!"
"Puff-Puff!" The Slurpuff all knew what Twilight loved after what Pinkie Pie had taught them. If anything, having all of Pinkie Pie's Pokemon here was like having eight Pinkie Pie's in one room.
But at least this time, none of them are clones from a magic pond.
"I'll just place these here." Twilight placed the hayburgers on the table. But as soon as she did so, along came Mew, opening his mouth and devouring the burgers in a second. "Ah!"
"Mew-Mew!" Mew cried out before falling on his tummy. The New Species Pokemon licked the sauce off his mouth before enjoying the taste of this delicacy. It was clear that the hayburger was enough to fill his hungry stomach. "Mew."
"Well...At least you're full." Twilight pouted. But her hope had been rekindled once the Slurpuff in the back had revealed another one to Twilight. "Ah! Slurpuff! You're a lifesaver!"
"Slurpuff!"
"Okay. We'll eat later. Mew."
"Mew?" Mew sat up, looking up at the Princess of Friendship.
"Transform into..." Twilight started pondering on which Pokemon Mew could have a go at. That's when she gained an idea. "Oh! Transform into a Zorua. And then use Zorua to become Spinda. How does that sound?"
"Mew!" Mew was right on it as he immediately transformed himself into the Tricky Fox Pokemon. A Pokemon that has the same ability as Mew. Transformation. "Zorua!" After becoming a Zorua, he then looked at Spinda, mimicking her appearance by spinning around and appearing as the Spot Panda Pokemon. "Spinda!"
"Good, Good! Just as I thought!" Twilight squeed. Even when becoming another Pokemon capable of transformation, you're able to utilize that as well. A double transformation."
"Spinda."
"So now we know this. You can't replicate Jirachi's Wishing Abilities or else we would've solved this Rift problem long ago. Can you mimic Victini's Infinite Power?"
"Mew." Mew shook his head.
"No. So that proves it. You can't copy certain things from Legendary or Mythical Pokemon. But other Pokemon like Pikachu and Bulbasaur, you can do just fine. Even mimic their special traits. Wait, do you even hide like how a Mythical Pokemon would?"
"Mew!"
"You even choose to mimic their mannerisms and how they act around others. Then that means..." Twilight pondered for a moment before sparking up an idea. "Aha! I think I know how to find Jirachi. Might take a while. Or sooner than we think."
"Mew?"
"Okay, Mew. Let's do something that'll help Rainbow Dash in the future. Transform into Scizor and a few other Pokemon for me, won't you?"
"Mew-Mew!"
Saddle Lake.
"Alright, Chikorita! Since you're cool with some battling, let's do it. Fluttershy won't mind if you get stronger, right? Rainbow Dash asked as she was currently about to battle with Chikorita while Audino sat down.
"Chikorita!"
"Audino. I know you wanna help others, so I won't let you battle."
"Audino."
"Now." Rainbow Dash took a deep breath before staring down at a Carnivine. "Where were we?"
"Carni!" They were actually in the midst of confronting a Wild Carnivine. This would be Chikorita's first time battling with Rainbow Dash, who was a completely different battling style to Fluttershy.
"Chikorita! Use Tackle!"
"Chiko!" Chikorita went first, charging without hesitation. This was Rainbow Dash's way of bonding. Similar to how Ash does it at times with his Pokemon.
"Vine! Carinvine!" In response, Carnivine had used Leaf Tornado, spiralling its arms around. Out of Carnivine's arms came a whirlwind of sharp leaves that even tore through the ground.
"Chiko?!"
"Oh! Dodge!"
"Rita!" Right on time, Chikorita managed to dodge the incoming Leaf Tornado by zooming to the side. The sharp leaves ended up destroying a nearby rock. After evading the leaves, Chikorita smashed her body into Carnivine, knocking the Bug Catcher Pokemon back. "Chiko!"
"Carni!"
"Good stuff! Now use Magical Leaf!"
"Chikorita!" After the tackle, Chikorita jumped back, firing multiple leaves that were surrounded by a mystical green aura. The leaves struck Carnivine, staggering it.
"V-Vine! Carni!" Carnivine then quickly recovered before using vines to grab Chikorita's leg. It had then pulled the Leaf Pokemon towards it.
"Chiko?!"
"Quick, Chikorita! Break free with Magical Leaf!"
"Vine!" Too late for that. Carnivine had Toxic, dropping a massive blob of poison onto her. Immediately, once she was splashed by the poisonous substance, the Leaf Pokemon had been poisoned.
"C-Chiko..."
"Huh? But her ability is Leaf Guard! It should totally ignore that, right?!" Rainbow Dash was thrown off by Chikorita being poisoned. With Leaf Guard, that shouldn't be the cause as Carnivine tossed Chikorita aside. Rainbow then took out her Pokedex to check something quickly.
"Leaf Guard. Leaf Guard prevents the bearer from succumbing to major status ailments such as sleep, burns, poisoning, paralysis or freezing during sunny weather. It does not prevent minor status ailments such as Confusion or Infatuation, nor does it prevent self-inflicted status conditions such as from using Rest."
"Seriously?" Rainbow Dash looked up to see that while the sun was up, it wasn't harsh at all. That was because of summer ending. The sun wasn't as hot as it was before. "Just our luck..."
"Carni!"
"Wait a sec! Duh! We've got this!" Just then, Rainbow Dash recalled one move that can ignore this. "Use Aromatherapy!"
"Chiko...!" Chikorita then exuded a green light from her body. A light so strong and bright that it forced Carnivine back. A soothing scent was also released, coating Chikorita as her poison status had been healed. "Chikorita!"
"Carnivine?"
"Good stuff. Guess Fluttershy kept that just in case something like this would happen. Not bad, Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash nodded before grinning. "Okay! Now, Chikorita! Jump on Carnivine and use your vines to spin it around! Then slam it!"
"Ch-Chiko?" Chikorita took a moment to process what she had just been told as she faced Rainbow Dash. So far, the previous commands were easy to follow and execute. But now, Chikorita was in new territory that she hadn't touch. She wasn't sure how to respond to such a command.
"Come on! You can do it! Right?"
"Rita..."
"Oh, right. Different Pokemon, different styles." Rainbow Dash awkwardly rubbed the back of her mane while Carnivine was patiently waiting. "J-Just have a crack at it and see what happens. Start by grabbing it with your vines!"
"Chikorita!" Chikorita went with it anyway, unleashing her vines as they wrapped around Carnivine's arms.
"Carni?"
"Now get on its head!"
"Rita!" Chikorita then lunged while still having her vines wrapped around Carnivine. As she moved through the air, she ended up lifting the Bug Catcher Pokemon off the ground, showing her impressive strength. "Chiko?"
"C-Carnivine!"
"Oh, wait!" Rainbow Dash gasped as she saw Chikorita flowing through the air with some small airtime. She then crashed into a tree due to her having no balance. Not only that, but the vines moved forward, crashing into another tree with Carnivine taking the hit.
"Chiko!"
"Carni!"
"Chikorita..." Chikorita fell from the tree with her face having a red mark. Carnivine also fell as they both landed on their backs. However, due to the damage dealt before and the smack on the tree, Carnivine had fainted from that.
Chikorita won by accident.
"Oh! You did it, Chikorita!" Rainbow Dash zoomed over, picking the Leaf Pokemon up. "You didn't even need your special leaf for that! That was all skill! Totally!"
"C-Chikori?" Chikorita smiled as her eyes felt dizzy. Audino quickly ran over to heal her as soon as she could. Carnivine got up, also feeling dizzy as it walked off, wondering what just happened and how it was defeated in such a way.
"You've got some polishing up to do with those skills. But I bet, when you evolve and train some more, you'll become awesome." Rainbow complimented the Leaf Pokemon. "Think Fluttershy would mind if we some more training some other time?"
"Chikorita!" Chikorita was actually up for it. Anything to protect Fluttershy at all costs.
However, just then, Rainbow Dash's Pokedex started beeping. She promptly picked it up to see what it could be. Lo and behold, that one battle against Carnivine had done something. Given Chikorita a new move.
"Alert. New move learned. Body Slam. Would you like to replace a move for Body Slam?" The Pokedex asked.
"Awesome! You learned a new move!" Rainbow Dash grinned before getting rid of Tackle and replacing it with Body Slam. "There ya go. Now you've got an even stronger move, huh?"
"Chiko!"
Sweet Apple Acres.
Meanwhile, over at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack found out how to get to Milotic and communicate with her. And it was an unusual way of doing so. Polishing the Tender Pokemon was the key, according to Milotic.
"Milotic."
"This much?" Applejack sighed as she polished Milotic's skin, making sure that it would shine. "Does Rarity do this all the time?"
"Milo. Milotic." With that cry, Milotic confirmed it.
"Woohoo!" Suddenly, with high energy, Apple Bloom, Ponyta, Gible, Cyndaquil and Pachirisu jumped into a dirt mound, spraying dirt all over the place.
The dirt flew rapidly, landing right on Milotic. The Tender Pokemon gasped as Applejack backed away slowly, scrunching her face. Apple Bloom and the others giggled as they were just having fun. But not to Milotic.
"Milo...!" Milotic growled as her rage was building up. She despite getting dirty as the ground started shaking.
"Huh?" Apple Bloom looked over to see Milotic's eyes turn red. That wasn't a good sign. "Uh Oh."
"Hold on there!" Applejack quickly rushed in, getting in front of the Water-Type before she could try anything risky. "Sorry about my little sis. You know how kids are."
"Milotic...!" Milotic scoffed before turning her head.
"Don't worry about it. We can get you clean in no time. Uh, Pheromosa!"
"Phero?" Pheromosa responded to Applejack as she was currently wearing a dress made out of leaves and apples that she and the Leavanny had made.
"Uh...Nice dress but don't use too much of the apples, ya hear? And can ya get me a bucket?"
"Pheromosa!" Pheromosa saluted before dashing off, entering the house. In just a few seconds with her amazing speed, she had returned, placing the bucket near Applejack. "Mosa."
"Gible!" Along came Gible, leaping in as he took a bite out of the Apple Dress before burrowing underground. Pachirisu and Cyndaquil also leapt in to snag some apples for themselves.
"Those three." Applejack chuckled before putting the bucket in front of Milotic. "Here. Use Hydro Pump on this. That'll fill the bucket up with some water for cleaning."
"Tic?" Milotic looked to the bucket with dirt in her eye. The Tender Pokemon then unleashed a blast of water from her mouth. The blast had filled the bucket immediately, almost overflowing.
"Nice. Oh." Applejack then looked closer, seeing that there were a few things missing. She looked at Pheromosa who had nodded in understanding.
The Lissome Pokemon rushed back inside the house to grab some soap and a brush. She then returned in seconds, having the essentials with her. Applejack took the brush as she got to work. First, she poured water on the Water-Type as she then started scrubbing Milotic all around. She had already polished the Tender Pokemon, so this will add more polish to her.
With haste and precision, Applejack had removed the dirt from Milotiic's body. Every part of it. And as a bonus, Milotic sparkled. Much like how Rarity would. And just like that, Milotic was clean.
"Tic?"
"Not bad, huh?" Applejack chuckled as Milotic smiled. Finally, she had gotten through to the Tender Pokemon.
"Milotic."
The Pokemon House.
"Mienfoo!" And the same went for Fluttershy. She had allowed Mienfoo to train to her heart's content. Mainly at the Fighting-Type room. Fluttershy held up a dummy that Mienfoo was currently beating on.
"One more time, Mienfoo," Fluttershy said while standing behind the dummy, wearing protective gear. And then next, you can go ahead, Braviary."
"Mien...!" Mienfoo attacked the dummy one more time with Force Palm. With one hit and all of her muscle put into it, she almost shattered the dummy into bits. " Foo!"
"Great job!" Fluttershy praised as Mienfoo slid on the floor. Her palm was smoking from all those hits. Fluttershy went over to Mienfoo to tend to the Martial Arts Pokemon.
"Mien?" Mienfo looked up as Fluttershy put a cold and wet towel over her palm. Mienfoo winced from this feeling, however, Fluttershy held her arm to help her through it. "F-Foo..."
"There, there," Fluttershy said as the pain from all those hits was fading away. "You're okay. You sure are something, Mienfoo. That determination to keep going. I can't wait to see what else you'll do when you enter the Equestria League. You'll have my full support, okay?"
"Mien?" Just then, Mienfoo looked up at Fluttershy after hearing all of her words. At that moment, Mienfoo had then been inspirited by Fluttershy with her eyes sparkling and her face blushing. Something that she has never done before. Fluttershy had definitely gotten to her.
Everyone managed to bond with all of their friends' Pokemon without fail. It took a while and a lot of convincing, but they succeeded. Having friends they understood helped them understand the Pokemon as well, as the first day had ended. The second day came along with little problem too.
Espeon, Cinccino, Ninetales and Togekiss were all stuffed from the foods they had eaten. After Pinkie PIe taught them, they started making their favourites. Absol even ate some, although not as much. They did receive tummy aches aside from Absol thought.
Sceptile received a polish and shine that made him sparkle. He also wore a suit that made him look dapper and smart. The Forest Pokemon felt embarrassed but he could get used to it. Golett was given a small bowtie and a tophat to wear. It fit him well.
Monday. Canterlot. The Pokemon School.
"Well. It looks like you've all done well with this task." Roxanne said as all of the students had returned with the Pokemon.
"Chikori!" Chikorita jumped into Fluttershy's hooves, happy to see her again.
"Hi, Chikorita!" Fluttershy hugged the Leaf Pokemon. "Oh. You feel different. Did you get faster?"
"Rita."
"Sceptile. Golett. What are you two wearing? You look kinda good in it. Plus, you're shining like crazy." Applejack said to her Pokemon as Sceptile blushed, crossing his arms.
"S-Sceptile.
"Golett." Golett tipped his hat to Applejack.
"Braviary!" Braviary and the rest of Rainbow Dash's Pokemon dog-piled Rainbow Dash with a massive group hug. They were happy to see their trainer again.
"Ow! Guys! You've only been away for 2 days!" Rainbow Dash chuckled. The same happened to Twilight and Rarity as she was being bombarded by hugs.
"Okay, you all!" Twilight and Rarity exclaimed. "Calm down! It's only been 2 days!"
"Well, well. It looks like exchanging partners was productive." Roxanne observed.
"Sure was. I did some battling with Chikorita and now she's tougher." Rainbow Dash said.
"Chikorita!"
"I did the same for Mienfoo. But I also allowed her to meditate and relax. She can get stronger that way as well." Fluttershy nodded.
"I got to learn all about Mew in just those two days. And something special I can't wait to show." Twilight grinned. "But uh...Eve. Everyone. Your tummies look a bit different.
"Espeon." Espeon nodded as she and her teammates licked their lips that had frosting around them. Pinkie Pie patted Ninetales' tummy as he laid on his back.
"They learned a lot. Now they're bonafide bakers." Pinkie Pie uttered.
"Same time next week, Sceptile? I can make you another suit for the Gala if you want." Rarity said to the Forest Pokemon.
"Sceptile." Sceptile was up for it.
"This wasn't a bad idea at all. Perhaps we can try this another time." Roxanne pondered. "How does next month sound? Before Christmas?"
"Sure thing!" Everypony in the class was okay with having a second go at this. Perhaps to get even closer with other Pokemon.
A temporary swap has given everyone a chance to learn about their friends' Pokemon. And in the process, they've learned even more how precious their own partners are. This will happen another time. And with different experiences but most likely the same results as the journey continues.
