Universe 11. The Solar Empire. Day.
The home universe of Daybreaker. This was where Skyblue Shine had come to request assistance from Daybreaker as a courtesy of Empress Twilight. The goal was to have her Legendary Pokemon grant Infinity Energy to Premium Polish, just to speed up the process of the Magical Unite.
Something that Skyblue Shine was questioning.
"Daybreaker!" Skyblue Shine called out her name as she stood in the Canterlot Gardens. There, Daybreaker was admiring the flowers and hedges before responding to the unicorn.
"Hm? Skyblue Shine, welcome." Daybreaker walked over. "I assume you're here because you've made the right choice?"
"I came here as a request from the Empress. She needs your assistance. In order to have the Magical Unite reach its maximum output in time, the Empress requires more energy to speed up its process. Celestia and her forces are currently intercepting the palace to rescue my daughter. The Empress fears it will be too late to fully use the Magical Unite with their meddling."
"And how can I help?"
"Infinity Energy seems to be the best option to speed it up. The Pokemon alone were able to fast forward to 12 hours of energy gathering. The Empress suspects that a Legendary Pokemon will be more than enough. Perhaps even capable of fully completing the process in just a second."
"Ah. So you want me to use my Pokemon to charge up your daughter, hm?" Daybreaker took out an Ultra Ball with her magic as Skyblue Shine nodded. "But...that can't be safe for your daughter...can it?"
"W-Well..." Skyblue Shine started stuttering as she looked to the ground. "When she was given it, her body could barely withstand it. It started smoking, overloading her senses and-"
"That's all I needed to hear. I refuse. I am many things, Skyblue Shine. But I refuse to harm a child." Daybreaker put her Ultra Ball away. "But I'm not so sure about you."
"I-I would never harm a child! Especially not my own daughter!"
"Hoh? Really? Then why is it that you are following through with this?" With that question, Daybreaker shocked Skyblue Shine once more. "Would you let your daughter go through an unbearable process just for the sake of somepony else? Even though you know it will end up destroying her. She's an android after all."
"I..."
"Besides. I don't think the Pokemon I own will be of great use. Isn't that right?" Daybreaker then took out her Ultra Ball again, releasing the Pokemon inside of it.
This Legendary Pokemon was one of destructive fury. Untold power that can only be released under certain circumstances. It had a vaguely humanoid shape with its body appearing to be constructed out of a black crystalline material. Three large spikes were protruding out of it along with the top as it had a dark grey symbol resembling a star in the centre. This Pokemon was none other than the devourer of light itself.
"Necrozma."
"O-Oh my..." Skyblue Shine stepped back after witnessing Necromza's entrance and appearance.
"As I said. Necrozma isn't exactly the Pokemon you want to use for this. Isn't that right, partner?" Daybreaker turned to Necrozma as the Prism Pokemon nodded.
Necrozma and Daybreaker seemed to already have a bond. One that was as simple as the average Pokemon Trainer and Pokemon themselves. Necrozma gazed at Skyblue Shine, giving her a terrifying look with a never-changing face.
"T-Then I take it...you won't assist in this?"
"I would've never done so in the first place. Not with a child involved. Plus, Necrozma sort of does the opposite of what you're looking for."
"I see." Skyblue Shine lowered her head before opening a gateway to Universe 28.
"But, before you leave, I hope you're understanding your role as a mother. If you truly love your daughter as you say you do, then you'll show your love at its purest...won't you?"
Words that Daybreaker had left behind for Skyblue Shine to think about. The android said nothing as she entered the gateway with it closing. Daybreaker shrugged before heading over to one of the hedges.
"She'll figure it out. Eventually."
Pegalysium. Nightfall.
The Gallant Pegasus stood before Ash and the others, threatening to destroy them. With Second Wind controlling it, the massive weapon raised its Dynasite-clad hooves, stomping them.
Everyone immediately moved back, avoiding the stomp as this part of the island had received a massive crater, just from the texture and hardness of Dynasite. Massive rubble emerged with the ground quaking afterwards, forcing everyone to move even further back.
"What power...Covering it with Dynasite was the way to go." Second Wind spoke.
"That's all Dynasite?!" Rarity gasped as Pheromosa placed her down. "There's no way we can break through that if that's the case!"
"Why?" Twilight asked.
"Dynasite's this super hard metal here in Pegalysium!" Spike turned to Twilight. "Not even Pheromosa could break through it!"
"You're serious?!" Twilight and everyone turned to Pheromosa. The Lissome Pokemon nodded as it was true. Even Pheromosa's amazing strength wasn't enough. She could hold the metal back, but even coming close to breaking it seemed impossible.
The Gallant Pegasus then started unloading blasts of magic from the holes within its wings. This magic was supported by the Indigo Alliance members as they came flying out.
"Audino!" Audino used Protect, shielding her friends from the incoming rays. But not all of them considering how much were approaching and how fast they were fling out.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
"Castform, Weather Ball!"
"Eve, Dazzling Gleam!"
"Hatterene, Psycho Cut!"
"Pika...Chuuu!" Pikachu, Castform and Espeon quickly countered these blasts with 100,000 volts of electricity, tearing blades, a sphere of energy without any elements due to it being evening and rainbow beams to do so.
"Pheromosa, Triple Kick!"
"Haxorus, Close Combat!"
Both Pheromosa and Haxorus approached the building weapon, aiming to crush the hard armour. Even though Dynasite seemed indestructible, there was no shame in trying. Two Fighting-Type moves could be something.
However, since this was modelled after a pegasus, the Gallant Pegasus simply flew into the air, avoiding the incoming attacks. But that didn't mean they couldn't pursue it. Pheromosa then jumped into the air with her amazing speed, hitting the Gallant Pegasus' hoof.
"P-Phero!" Pheromosa winced as her leg felt the hardness of the Dynasite material. The Lissome Pokemon fell after her leg shook as Haxorus caught her.
"Haxorus!"
The Magma Stones within the Gallant Pegasus had been utilized next. The Indigo Alliance activated the stones by pouring magma onto them. By doing so, the Gallant Pegasus unleashed streams of magma that came flying out.
"Tile!" Sceptile quickly pulled Applejack away from the incoming magma with his vines whilst everyone else scattered. Castform's cells reacted to the magma, forcing him into his Sunny Form.
"Ninetales! Absorb it with Flash Fire!" Twilight quickly flew back, throwing the Poke Ball to send Ninetales out. If anything, Ninetales would gladly take these flames and use them as his own power.
"Ninetales!" The Fox Pokemon's ability kicked in as he casually moved through the magma. The heat from the magma had been absorbed into his body as Ninetales now had increased flames.
"If it's so indestructible, then let's see if it melts! Flare Blitz, Ninetales!"
"Nine...Tales!" Ninetales then lunged at the moving weapon with a stream of fire around his body. Perhaps melting was the answer to defeating Dynasite. But in truth, once Ninetales crashed into the metal, nothing happened. Only recoil towards Ninetales. However, he did manage to push the Gallant Pegasus back. "Nine!"
"It won't even melt?!" Twilight pulled back in shock.
"But it's not unbeatable! Pikachu, use Iron Tail! Dragonite, Lucario! Come out and use Force Palm and Dragon Claw!" Ash commanded before throwing out two more of his Pokemon. Out came Lucario and Dragonite, already on the move as they flew and dashed past Pikachu.
"Chu...Pika!" Pikachu jumped into the air, swinging his metal tail onto the neck of the Gallant Pegasus. Iron certainly wasn't strong enough to match the hardness of Dynasite. But, Pikachu did push it back a bit along with Lucario and Dragonite who had struck the weapon.
"Get lost!" Second Wind cried out as the Gallant Pegasus responded by whacking the three Pokemon with its wings and tail. Pikachu and Lucario tumbled on the ground while Dragonite recovered in the air.
The Gallant Pokemon then raised its hoof on Pikachu and Lucario as they were on the ground, threatening to step on them. Lucario quickly kicked Pikachu out of the way to save him. And as for Lucario, he was saved by a zooming Pheromosa who had grabbed him. With great timing too as the hoof had been smashed down.
"See? Not even your magical creatures can do anything to this." Second Wind taunted. "Kind of disappointing considering how much you've hyped them up, hm?"
"Oh, yeah?!" Rainbow Dash growled as she sent Braviary out. "We'll show you!"
"Braviary!"
"There's no way that thing's unbreakable. We'll use the Bond Phenomenon to prove it!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed before banking on Rainbow-Braviary to deal with this weapon. Immediately, Braviary had been consumed by a pillar of rainbows.
He and Rainbow Dash were syncing together. Emerging out of the pillar of rainbows was Rainbow-Braviary himself. "Braviary!"
"Superpower, go!"
"Viary!" The Valiant Pokemon approached as the Gallant Pegasus turned its attention to the approaching Normal-Flying-Type. Magic rays came out of its eyes and wings each to try and shoot him down.
Rainbow-Braviary soared his way through the skies, avoiding the rays. Once he was close, the Valiant Pokemon coated his wings in energy before smashing them onto the Gallant Pegasus. The Dynasite metal still did not break. But, Superpower greatly knocked the Gallant Pegasus back.
"Tch!" Second WInd scoffed as she had the Gallant Pegasus shoot out rods of Dynasite from its body. The rods had struck Rainbow-Braviary, knocking him out of the sky.
"Bravi!"
"Agh!" And Rainbow Dash felt it too. Getting hit with Dynasite was not pleasant as the pegasus got on the ground, groaning and holding her stomach. "T-That hurts!"
But there was more. More of those rods started emerging from this pegasus as they rained down everywhere. And at the same time, Second Wind made the Gallant Pegasus deliver one last stomp to this floating island. This time, with both hooves while cladding them with magma.
Everyone attempted evading the rods but that was the least of their worries. Once the hooves struck, a giant stream of magma emerged, flowing through the land.
"Oh geez!" Pinkie Pie squealed after seeing a massive magma storm coming towards her and her friends. Ninetales stood in front of the incoming magma stream, acting as a shield for his friends.
And he was an amazing one. The Fox Pokemon took all of the magma, using the power of Flash Fire as a black hole. The magma gravitated towards Ninetales. Even the ones that were away from him on different sides. Ninetales took in all of the magma, building up his power. He had successfully saved his friends from the magma stream. However, absorbing too much can leave Ninetales a bit iffy and befuddled.
"N-Nine!"
"Kh! You're just delaying things at this point!" Second Wind was getting frustrated with how Ash and the others were still around. Not crushed or vaporized like she was hoping. At this point, the Royal Family and all of Pegalysium would find out about her actions if she wasn't quick.
"Then give us back our friend already!" Emerald Aura shouted back. "I know she's in there!"
"Like I'd give up the greatest source of magic we could ever have! You and that brat over there could add to that. Rift Ponies could do so much for us."
"Our friends aren't your property!" Ash exclaimed.
"Pikachu!"
"Tough! These Rift Ponies aren't technically even meant to be here in the first place! They're anomalies at best! And with that...rules and morals can be thrown out of the window with them involved."
"Yikes, she's cuckoo..." Spike grimaced as Rarity nodded in agreement.
"I don't know much about you humans...but you seem as equal bothers as well. Every one of you. You should've never come to Pegalysium or even know about its existence. What's worse is how the Royal Family decides to endorse something that our ancestors have denied and established. Everything is falling apart now. But that's fine. With Rift Magic, that won't be the case for long."
"Blah, blah." Applejack mocked. "Like we care about that."
"Fine...Let's see if you care about this!" Second Wind gave a horrifying face as she made the Gallant Pegasus open its mouth. And out of its mouth came a gigantic sphere of Rift Magic.
But it wasn't aimed at everyone here. Instead, the sphere was sent towards the capital of Pegalysium with some magma infused within it. Everyone gasped as they witnessed this sphere fly off.
"Gotcha!" Just as Second Wind planned. Distracting them with something major such as that, only for her to have the Gallant Pegasus obliterate the island they stood on with its hooves.
It wasn't just that island. It was every other surrounding floating island nearby. The force of this hit was strong enough to shatter them all as they started crumbling.
"W-Woah...Woah!" Ash cried out as everyone was losing their balance. And to make sure none of their Flying-Types would save them, Second Wind had the Gallant Pegasus flap its wings, changing and altering the wind currents. The winds themselves were thrown off balance, forcing Dragonite and Braviary to lose focus themselves. Even the ponies that could fly were thrown off balance.
"D-Dra!"
"Braviary!"
"So long!" Second Wind bellowed before using Rift Magic once more in the form of giant lightning bolts that came crashing down.
"P-Pikachu!" Ash cried out.
"Pika...!" Pikachu slid on the ground as he looked up, seeing the incoming lightning bolts. The Mouse Pokemon lunged into the air, going straight towards them. And after they hit him, Pikachu absorbed their electricity for himself.
"What?!" Second Wind gasped.
"Pikachu...!" After absorbing it, Pikachu used Thunderbolt. But this time, he gave out an output of 200,000 volts. He struck the moving weapon, still unable to break the Dynasite. But it greatly pushed the Gallant Pegasus back.
"S-Sceptile!" Even if everyone who could fly were unable to focus due to these wind streams, Sceptile could. He used his vines to his advantage, latching onto the farthest island that hadn't crumbled. He then used every vine he could muster to grab all of his friends.
Sceptile was struggling to hold all of them. This much weight was a lot for him to handle as his grip was loosening. Thankfully, since he held them, he allowed the others to have enough time to think.
"D-Dragonite, Hyper Beam on that sphere!"
"D-Dragonite...!" Dragonite's eyes flashed as she was able to get one Hyper Beam in. Right towards the sphere as it was heading for Pegalysium. The Dragon Pokemon unleashed a massive beam from its mouth. And thankfully, Hyper Beam was swift enough to catch up to the sphere.
One hit and the sphere had been destroyed.
Emerald Aura used her magic to safely transport everyone to the closest island. The closest island was also the farthest, unfortunately. But it would have to do as the Gallant Pegasus crashed into the ground from Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Everyone inside started trembling from it.
"W-What's with that abnormal strength?" Second Wind growled before regaining her balance. She then saw that her targets were gone due to Emerald transporting everyone away. "Where'd they go?! Bah, forget it! I'm wasting time. I need to vaporize the capital at once!"
Second Wind advanced. She sent the Gallant Pegasus into the skies, heading straight for the capital. The islands here all fell. Except for the one that Emerald Aura had gone to.
Everyone was safe, thankfully. They watched the Gallant Pokemon fly off into the night sky. Pikachu's body crackled with electricity while Rainbow Dash winced from the shared pain with Rainbow-Braviary.
"How are we gonna beat something we can't even breakthrough?" Spike sighed.
"As long as she has Jade and Dynasite, she's almost impossible to stop," said Starlight.
"No way." Emerald stood up. "No one's unstoppable. Especially not her."
"We just need to get past that metal. Maybe Aura can have an effect." Ash theorized before helping the rest of his friends up. "I've got an idea. Let's try something, you guys."
Pegalysium Capital.
With a gigantic shadow looming over the city, the Gallant Pegasus had arrived with all eyes on it. King Paramount and Queen Luminary, who were judging the remaining Indigo Alliance Members, looked onwards as they witnessed its arrival.
"W-What is that, dad?" Shooting Star stuttered.
"The Gallant Pegasus..." Paramount gawked. "A great weapon used by the ponies of old. How is it here?!"
The Gallant Pegasus stayed in the air for a moment as Second Wind allowed everypony to bask in its radiance. She even decided to show off by using Rift Magic to make it shine.
"Bask in its beauty for the first and last time, Pegalysium." Second Wind uttered as she was ready to end it. And to erase Pegalysium off the map, she would use Rift Magic for it. The Gallant Pegasus opened its mouth, conjuring another sphere. This one was focused on wiping the city out of existence. Completely off the map.
And it made sure it was extra large. The sound of the sphere charging up could be heard as it was growing with size each increasing second. Paramount quickly realized what this was as he gasped.
"Everypony! Out of the city, now!" Paramount ordered. He didn't need to tell them twice. It's already been a confusing day for them, so they were willing to go with anything now. And because it was the king's orders.
The pegasi all started flying off. Even the captured members were being carried out of here. As for Paramount, while his wife and son were fleeing, he wasn't. He wasn't about to leave the city just because some giant appeared before him. He had to fulfil his role as king.
"Staying behind, your majesty?" Second Wind's voice passed through. "How noble."
"Second Wind? Because of course...How did you get your hooves on something such as this?!"
"How? Easy. The advantage that the Indigo Alliance has over the Royal Family is resources. Since we've been working within the shadows for centuries, we've been able to gain ahold of many ancient and powerful forms of magic for ourselves without anypony else finding out. The Reanimate Tears and Gallant Pegasus are just the biggest examples."
"Hm. Then answer me this. Do you know something about the sudden demise of my parents on that fateful night?"
"Do I?" Second Wind chuckled for a moment before rubbing her hooves together. She then looked down on Paramount with disdain. "I planned it."
"You what?!"
"Your parents were just as big of a threat as you were with their ideals. Then again, most of your family line is practically like that overall. So, to erase those ideals, I decided to weed out the problem. I wanted it to be grander for the royals, but a chariot incident was good enough for me."
"So you're the reason why." After hearing that, Paramount now had someone to target all of his anger towards. However, he made sure not to lose his cool.
"But don't worry. You'll meet them soon. Oh, wait." Second Wind thought for a moment. "If you're going to be wiped out then I suppose you won't. Your existence won't be there anymore! Buh-bye!"
With that, Second Wind had the Gallant Pegasus reach the max capacity of this sphere. Paramount promised himself not to use Rift Magic until Celestia fulfilled her promise. But for the sake of his subjects and city, he would use it anyway. But that wouldn't be necessary.
"Aura Sphere!" In the distance, Ash's voice could be heard. And following that was an incoming sphere of Aura. One of the few things that can properly interact with Rift Energy. And it certainly did.
Aura Sphere struck the Rift Sphere, cancelling out with the power of Aura. The sphere imploded, knocking the Gallant Pegasus back as everypony within the weapon fell over.
"What now?!" Second Wind growled before facing the right. Ash and the others had arrived at Pegalysium. Wasn't that hard anyway. They had many options. Pheromosa and Dragonite's speed or just teleportation from any magic users here. "You! Why can't you just butt out for one second!"
"Children. Are you alright?" Paramount asked.
"We're fine. Glad this place hasn't been wiped out yet," said Twilight.
"Okay, guys. Let's try it out. Probably the only way we can break through Dynasite." Ash spoke.
"Break through Dynasite?" Paramount turned to him. "Impossible. Nothing in Pegalysium history has been able to even dent or crack it. Not once."
"We'll see about that. We'll be the first to do so. Aura Staff, come out!" Ash then held his hand out, summoning the Staff of Sir Aaron by enlarging it.
"Pheromosa, Triple Kick!"
"Pheromosa!" One more time. And hopefully, with better success, Pheromosa leapt into the air, ready to deliver three consecutive hits. But this time, with the assistance of Aura.
Ash closed his eyes, focusing his Aura on the staff. Afterwards, he coated Pheromosa's legs in Aura. So far so good. But the damage had yet to be seen.
"This is just redundant! What part of indestructible metal do you not under-" Just as Second Wind spoke, Pheromisa kicked the face of the Gallant Pegasus with Aura involved.
And to everyone's surprise, something happened. A crack had formed as shards of Dynasitee flew out of the Gallant Pegasus after the initial hit, knocking the weapon back. By using Aura, Pheromosa was able to fully damage it.
"What?!" Second Wind roared in shock and confusion. "Impossible!"
"Yes, it worked!" Ash cheered as a smile graced Pheromosa's face. But she wasn't done yet. Two more kicks to go. The Lissome Pokemon kicked the Gallant Pegasus in the face two more times, shattering more of the Dynasite.
"Mosa!" Pheromosa then descended, feeling proud of herself for being the first one to properly damage the seemingly indestructible Dynasite.
"So Aura can affect it!" Twilight flapped her wings in surprise before realizing something. She then took out one of her Poke Balls, sending Togekiss out into the fray.
"Togekiss!"
"Togekiss, use Aura Sphere!"
"Mew, you use Aura Sphere too!" Pinkie chimed in. Those that had a semblance of Aura at their disposal could do something. In unison, spheres of aura came flying out of their mouths.
And as to be expected, once the spheres struck, they damaged the Dynasite armour. This time on one of the wings as shards dropped to the ground, piercing through some buildings.
"Well, I'll be..." Paramount's eyes widened as the residents of Pegalysium were equally as amazed by what they were gazing at. The seemingly indestructible Dynasite had been damaged.
And Second Wind didn't take kindly to that.
"This shouldn't be happening. First, they have a counter to my magma...then my electricity and now Dynasite?! What is with these creatures?!"
"Pokemon are awesome, aren't they? Alright, everyone!" Ash raised his staff. "Do what you can! I'll give you all the Aura in the world to damage it!"
Confidence had been raised. Now that the weapon was vulnerable to the always reliable Aura, everyone had as many options as they wanted.
Ash could only coat them in Aura for around 7 seconds at best. But that was enough. Audino and Dragonite simultaneously used Hyper Beam with Ash coating it in Aura.
The two Hyper Beams struck both wings, damaging multiple Dynasite feathers and blowing them off. Ash also coated Rainbow-Braviary's wings when utilizing Superpower, allowing Rainbow-Braviary to freely damage and break off Dynasite chunks.
The Gallant Pegasus tried melting the ground with incoming magma streams, only for Ninetales to get in the way. However, Ninetales was reaching his limit on how much magma he could absorb as he started wincing.
Thankfully, Audino was there to help. She used Heal Pulse to recover the Fox Pokemon, allowing him to feel less strained about the flames. This allowed Ninetales to continuously absorb the flames without any worry.
Dynasite rods came flying out of the Gallant Pegasus as they started raining down and destroying everything in sight. Many buildings had been crushed by these rods with ease.
Dragonite and Haxorus used their brute strength to grab these rods, throwing them aside. Pheromosa quickly pushed everyone out of the way when some rods got a bit too close.
Pikachu jumped on some of the rods with Iron Tail ready. Ash covered his partner's tail in Aura, allowing him to land an effective hit on this weapon.
"Get lost, already!" Second Wind blurted out before having the Gallant Pegasus' hoof fly towards Pikachu.
"Chu...Pika!" Pikachu flipped in midair, avoiding the hoof and swinging Iron Tail down. One wing and the hoof was almost cut in half.
"!" Second Wind gasped as she quickly pulled the hoof away. She then made the Gallant Pegasus whack Pikachu away with its Dynasite tail.
"Pika!" Pikachu cried out as Dragonite caught him. After catching Pikachu, Dragonite used Hyper Beam, going straight for the damaged hoof. And with assistance from Ash's Aura, the hoof had been blown off by Hyper Beam. One major part of the Gallant Pegasus was now gone.
"Why I-" Before Second Wind could give her next command, Haxorus had grabbed the other hoof of the Gallant Pegasus suddenly. He was going to try and rip it off. And with Ash covering his claws with Aura, that could happen.
Not wanting any further damage, Second Wind made the Gallant Pegasus extrude gigantic Dynasite cylinders from its hoof, hitting Haxorus' stomach and forcing the Axe Jaw Pokemon back.
"Now it's my turn! Like I'll let you get an advantage ever again, you brats!" Second Wind let out a wide and devious grin before exuding more Rift Magic onto the Gallant Pegasus. She had the weapon flap its wings, sending out two gigantic whirlwinds that had already blown away some buildings.
"Dragonite, counter with Hurricane!"
"Clap your wings with Superpower, Braviary!"
"Dragonite...!" In unison, Dragonite and Braviary counteracted these whirlwinds by forming their own forms of wind. Dragonite did so by flapping her wings while Braviary used Superpower to do so via wing claps.
"Jade's still in there...Let's try and get inside! Lucario, Form Palm!"
"Lucario!" Lucario then jumped in the air, using the falling rubble to gain some extra height. He concentrated some Aura into his paw before hitting the neck of the Gallant Pegasus. A massive hole had been made from the initial impact, pushing the weapon back."
"Get back!" Second Wind yelled before having the Dynasite cylinders come out and knock Lucario. She then used Rift Magic once more, regenerating the damage Lucario had made. "I told you, with Rift Magic, I can do anything! Even regenerate this beauty!"
"Not unless we do it faster than you can regenerate!" Eve! Togekiss! Dazzling Gleam!"
"Use Dazzling Gleam as well, Hatterene!"
"Espeon!"
"Togekiss!"
"Hatterene!"
The three Pokemon released multiple rays of rainbows after forming a sphere of magic. The rainbows were coated in Aura, allowing for them to damage the Dynasite. With the rays rapidly hitting the armoured weapon, it caused shards to fall out faster than they do.
And indeed, Second Wind couldn't regenerate it as fast as she hoped she could. She still has her limits as a pony with a limited reaction time.
"Tile!" Sceptile had used his vines to grab the hoof of the Gallant Pegasus. With all his strength and some Aura coating, he ripped off the second hoof successfully.
"Darn it!" In response, Second Wind caused more of those Dynasite rods to erupt from the ground. The erupting rods struck the stomachs of Espeon and Togekiss, knocking them away.
"Espeon! Togekiss!" Twilight gasped before watching her partners hit a nearby building. They were still conscious but taking something like that to the stomach was unpleasant. More of those rods came flying out, threatening to hit everyone.
Dragonite, Sceptile, Lucario, Haxorus and Pheromosa started defending their friends by catching or breaking any rods that got near. Meanwhile, Ninetales jumped on one of the rods, using Flare Blitz to go straight for the head of the Gallant Pegasus.
Second Wind had the Gallant Pegasus headbutt Ninetales, knocking the Fox Pokemon back. Audino was ready to heal him until Second Wind saw how much of a threat Audino was. Not wanting any healing shenanigans, a rod emerged from the ground, going for Audino.
"Chiko!" Chikorita's fate-changing leaf kicked in. Removing a fairly big piece of it as it had touched the Hearing Pokemon. With that, fate had changed, altering events as the rods ended up missing. Second Wind witnessed this for herself, seeing that there were now more threats other than just Ash, Aura and Audino.
This time, she manipulated the buildings via Rift Magic. With some telekinesis, she raised the buildings from the ground, sending them towards her targets.
Rainbow-Braviary and Togekiss moved through the air with Brave Bird and Sky Attack. They evaded any incoming buildings with their speed as they had some aura coat them. The two Flying-Types crashed into the Gallant Pegasus, breaking massive chunks off.
Second Wind's frustration was only building up from here as buildings started falling everywhere. Magma steams came out of the Gallant Pegasus' eyes, going straight for Audino.
Chikorita's leaf activated once more. However, a large chunk of it came off, forcing Chikorita to put more effort in. The leaf touched Audino, saving her from being melted.
"R-Rita...! However, with a massive leaf chunk taking off of the Leaf Pokemon, she was getting tired as she fell to the ground.
"Rest for now, Chikorita!" Fluttershy quickly returned Chikorit to her Poke Ball for rest.
But it wasn't just Chikorita. Ash was feeling some effects too. Not only could he summon Aura for 7 seconds only, using so much in one instance was starting to bring Delayed Aura Ataxia into the mix.
"Ugh!" Ash groaned as he gripped onto the staff. "That Ataxia's lurking around right now...Not sure if I can keep giving everyone Aura."
"Hang in there, Ash!" Pinkie Pie cried out.
"Oh, getting sloppy and tired? Excellent You youths are too energetic anyway for your own good!" Second Wind taunted before regenerating the broken hooves of the Gallant Pegasus. After doing so, she made an earthquake happen via hoof stomps.
Everyone on the ground had been affected, minus those airborne. Those affected lost balance, falling over from the earthquake as the force started opening up a chasm.
Second Wind then had magic beams fly out of the chasm by surprise, hitting Ninetales, Pheromosa and Audino with them. The three of them fell back as more of those magic beams came flying out.
Twilight and Starlight cast a protective barrier around their friends as the beams rapidly pelted the barrier. Second Wind then infused Rift Magic with it, causing the barrier to shatter easily.
"M-Mosa...!" Pheromosa's fragile body was getting to her. Being hit like that made the Lissome Pokemon quake.
"Return for now, darling!" Rarity quickly returned Pheromosa before switching out to another. "Ampharos come out!"
"Ampharos!"
"You too, Ninetales! Rest up!" Twilight did the same as Ninetales had been recalled. She then swapped him out for Absol for this scenario. "Go, Absol!"
"Absol!"
"Send out as many of your pets as you want! I'm still on the verge of winning here!" Second Wind declared before influencing the skies themselves with Rift Magic.
"Ash. How much Aura can you give out now?" Twilight asked.
"Not sure. But I won't stop either way." Ash gave a thumbs up.
"I gotcha covered." Emerald Aura went up to Ash, using her Rift Magic on him. By doing so, Emerald had restored Ash's stamina, dialling the effects of Ataxia back. "There."
"Thanks, Emerald!"
"Pikachu!"
"Then in that case..." Twilight took out her quill holder which led her Mega Stone. Spike knew what Twilight was going for as he sent Salamence out for one purpose.
"Salamence!"
Together, they all took out their Mega Evolution accessories. Twilight, Spike, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy were ready to Mega Evolve and put an end to this as they each activated the stones.
"Mega Evolve!"
All at once, the Infinity Energies started flowing out of the stones, striking their targets. In unison and with perfect timing, Absol, Audino, Ampharos, Sceptile and Salamence had Mega Evolved, unleashing their mega forms.
"So what, you changed forms?! One of them looks like it can barely stand!" Second Wind mocked them. She then used her Rift Magic to do something intimidating.
She multiplied the Gallant Pegasus ten times, creating copies. This was a problem for numerous reasons. However, this problem quickly ceased once Cold Colt stepped in, removing the clones away.
"Huh?!" Second Wind looked around, noticing how the clones had faded.
"Hehe." Cold stuck his tongue out. "Clones are naturally weaker so getting rid of those was super easy."
"You brats! Why are you all so stubborn?!" Second Wind went on the offensive. That's when all the Mega Pokemon did the same. With Ash's Aura covering them they were better than ever.
Absol used Night Slash to cut an incoming Dynasite cylinder into pieces. Salamence took the skies, using his sharp wings to cut parts of the Dynsaite material around the neck. Ampharos and Sceptile had used Dragon Pulse together, hitting the neck as well after Salamence had damaged it.
Second Wind quickly regenerated it, only for Audino to interrupt with Hyper Beam, hitting the neck and breaking it once more. Second Wind had a giant tsunami emerge from the chasm, threatening to drown everyone.
Pikachu used this to his advantage as he went up close to the Gallant Pegasus. After getting close, he used Thunderbolt, mixing it with the water and some Aura in there. He shocked the Gallant Pegasus, causing it to almost fall over.
"Steady!" Second Wind tried keeping the weapon's balance after the shock.
"Hatt!" Along came Hatterene's Psycho Cut, slashing the hoof and cutting it off. After doing so, the Gallant Pegasus tipped over as Second Wind couldn't keep the balance.
The weapon hit the ground as it had finally lost balance, falling over. Second Wind and everyone inside fell as well from this balance reduction.
"Now's our chance! Rip that face off, Haxorus!"
"Haxorus!" Haxorus moved through the tsunami with Spike on his back. With Ash helping out, the Axe Jaw Pokemon grabbed the face of the Gallant Pegasus, promptly ripping it off. "Xorus!"
"No!" Second Wind cried out as the face had been removed. She tried regenerating it, only for Lucario to come over and interrupting with Force Palm.
"Mew!" Mew flew over, transforming himself into Rayquaza, just to wrap around the Gallant Pegasus. He constricted the weapon with Rayquaza's long body as an advantage.
Second Wind had the Gallant Pegasus spurt out magma, burning Mew's body. Mew cried out as he was forced off the Gallant Pegasus, turning into a Vaporreon to cool himself off.
"Vaporeon."
"Let's finish this! Pikachu, Thunderbolt, let's go!"
"Pika...!" Pikachu jumped into the air, charging up one last Thunderbolt. And with Aura covering him, he made sure that this was the one to leave a lasting effect.
"Just to be safe..." Emerald narrowed her eyes as he had thunderstorms appear from above. The thunderbolts crashed down, striking the Mouse Pokemon Pikachu was powered up more because of that.
"Pika...CHUUUU!" Pikachu then released over 1,000,000 volts of lightning thanks to some great assistance. Second Wind gasped as she quickly had a Rift Shield appear around the Gallant Pegasus.
"I refuse to lose to some outsiders and their pets!" Second Wind bellowed as she expanded the shield, forcing Pikachu's Thunderbolt back. Pikachu strained, trying to break through the shield of Rift Magic.
"Absol...!" Absol and the other chimed in with Dark Pulse, Hyper Beam from both Audino and Dragonite, Dragon Pulse from Sceptile, Salamence and Ampharos, Brave Bird from Braviary, Dazzling Gleam from Espeon, Togekiss and Hatterene each along with Giga Impact from Haxorus.
Each of them met with the shield, attempting to shatter and push through it Second Wind's resilience was strong as she refused to let the shield break. The members inside the weapon assist by adding their shields to it.
"Lucario...!" Lucario jumped into the air, holding a massive Aura Sphere as he tossed it downwards.
In the end, it was the Pokemon that succeeded as the attacks broke through. All at once, each attack struck the Gallant Pegasus with Aura surrounding it. The Dynasite armour had shattered from these merged attacks, removing the Gallant Pegasus' main defence. And it even struck the cobblestone it was originally built with.
A gigantic outburst of paroxysm emerged from this impact as everything in the capital had been blown away. No buildings were safe from this. But at least it wasn't wiped out.
All the Pokemon breathed in and out after exuding so much from their bodies. Paramount and the citizens were awe-struck as Shooting Star could only say one thing.
"So cool..."
"U-Ugh..." Out of the massive smoke, Second Wind crawled out. No one within the weapon was harmed thanks to Emerald Aura. But the Gallant Pegasus itself, not so much. It was now a wreck as every Indigo Alliance member jumped out of the destroyed weapon. "T-This isn't over yet. I can just regenerate it and-"
However, Second Wind then met the effects of using too much Rift Magic. She twitched as her body was on the verge of fainting. Paramount and his soldiers surrounded the members as the king approached the Grand Judge.
"That's that." Ash before putting Sir Aaron's staff away.
"Second Wind," Paramount spoke. "I've already decided your judgement after what I've witnessed. And with what you have done to my parents."
"Y-Yeah right..." She scoffed. "Like you'll get your hooves on me!" Even if she couldn't use Rift Magic right now, she used her ordinary magic to immediately teleport away, abandoning this area.
"Should we go after her?" Twilight asked.
"We'll get her eventually. But other than that...excellent work. All of you. E-Even though it resulted in the destruction of the city."
"Hehe. Our bad." Ash chuckled along with everyone.
"Pikachu."
"Ah! Jade!" Pinkie then noticed one last pegasus walk out of the smoke. Jade Skies. Still in one piece and unbothered. After all, she knew her friends would rescue her.
"Hey, everyone." She said.
"Jade!" Pinkie rushed over, hugging her friend with the full strength of an earth pony. Everyone else came in for a hug as they surrounded Jade. It was now a loving group hug all around. "We were so worried! We had to go through magma, some crazy hard metal, tsunamis, earthquakes, thunderbolts and-"
"I hear you." Jade stopped Pinkie Pie. "I knew you'd come for me. But...there's something you should all know. I just found it out yesterday."
"You're a Rift Pony. Like us." Emerald already gave an answer as she stepped forward. "That prince sot of spoiled it already."
"You're like us! How cool is that?!" Cold squeed.
"It's pretty cool. I mean...I didn't think I'd be one." Jade looked down. "Guess my origin ended up being some cosmic force in the end. But, I don't care. I've met you all right?"
"Mhm." Pinkie Pie nodded as the unthinkable happened. After seeing how her friends came to her aide and cared for he despite her origin, Jade was truly around the bestest friends she could ever ask for which caused her to smile.
After cracking her first smile, Jade felt at peace as everyone gasped at this sight. The citizens of Pegalysium returned, cheering for this stunning victory despite their destroyed homes. They also enjoyed seeing a Pokemon Battle for the first time. Intense but exciting to witness.
As for the Gallant Pegasus, the guards gathered up the pieces, bringing them in. Everything had simmered down now in Pegalysium. But there was one thing left.
"Hold on." Emerald looked over at the destroyed city before using her Rift Magic to do one last good deed for the night. With the amazing power of the Rift, Emerald Aura had restored the destroyed city to its prime. Just like that, the buildings of every kind, whether household or store-based had been restored. "There we go. Good as new."
"Oh! Now that we're done here, Celestia and Luna need our help! Premium could be still captured!" Ash alerted everyone.
"You're leaving already?" Luminary walked up.
"Sorry. But we have another friend to rescue. Wish we could stay a bit longer." Fluttershy apologised.
"No need for apologies." Paramount shook his head. "You have another friend to save after all. Go. We'll take things from here."
"Awesome. Thanks." Ash gave a thumbs-up as everyone here was ready to head off to the next universe. One last friend was in need of help. Premium Polish.
Universe 28. The Empress' spare palace.
"Great. Now I'm lost." Jackie said whilst moving through the jumbled palace.
"Chatot! Lost!"
"Gotta be here somewhere." He ran through the hallways and their new twisted appearance. Premium Polish had yet to be found. So far, Jackie hadn't found anything. All he heard was the sounds of ponies fighting. Something he'd never thought he'd hear.
That is until he hit the jackpot.
A laboratory full of captured Pokemon. Just what Jackie needed. More help. And being a Pokemon Ranger, this would count as a rescue. With his capture styler ready, Jackie was ready to add to the chaos.
"Capture on!" By using his styler, a golden beam zoomed through the windows of the lab, circling all of the Pokemon within the lab. Even the ones that were being contained in cases. The styler could affect practically anything.
Once it wrapped around them, all of the Pokemon were now following Jackie's orders. But not only that, the styler had healed them, granting them their full strength. With their strengths' regained, the Pokemon were able to break free of their prisons with a Poliwrath being the first to do so.
"Poliwrath!"
It was a Pokemon breakout now. All the Pokemon, finding extra strengths had targeted all that strength towards the scientists. The scientists started panicking, running from the Pokemon. If they could that is.
Jackie gave an approving nod as some of the Pokemon had exited the lab, coming to the Pokemon Ranger after he had saved them. With extra help from new Pokemon, Jackie continued on his mission to find Premium Polish. And with extra help along the way.
