Dash's POV
I know I shouldn't jinx it but things are finally going good. Sunset has stopped working as much and Dagi wasn't drinking, so the three of us we're at Adagio's place.
"I'm going to have a drink." Adagio told me and Sunset.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" I asked.
"Yeah, I just won't drink as many."
"Dagi,you can drink entire bottles and not notice it."Sunset said."You shouldn't be drinking yet."
Adagio ignored Sunset and headed on to get wine and poured a cup.
"Do you guys want any?"She asked.
Me and Sunset nodded no.
She poured a cup.That turned into two.When she was about to pour a third Sunset started to get alarmed.
"Dagi I think you've had enough."Sunset told her.
"Just one more Sunset, last one I promise." Adagio said back."
"Adagio." Sunset said in a voice that made it clear she wasn't playing around.
Dagi let out a sigh. "Fine but it would be a shame to waste this." Before we could do anything she tossed the bottle of wine back and drank it in one gulp.
"Dagi!" Sunset rushed over to her.
Dagi gave her a smirk. "I still got it."
"Do you know how stupid that was?!"
"Sunny you worry to much." Adagio tried to take a step but her body refused to listen and she almost fell. "Maybe you were right." Adagio reached out for Sunset before her legs gave out and she fell to the ground.
Both me and Sunset rushed to her,Adagio's face was pale and she was breathing really heavily.
Sunset shook her a bit:
"Adagio,Adagio!!!Shit,Dash call an ambulance."
I got my phone and called an ambulance. Why now? Things are going good now. Calm down I tell myself she's going to be ok.
"Come on Adagio don't do this. I need you to wake up." Sunset was shaking her harder now. "We still need you here!"
Even I could tell how bad Adagio was and she was getting worse. My first thought was I was glad Snow wasn't here to see her mom like that.
"Mom?" A voice from behind me asked.
"No!" I shouted as I heard her, I turned around and grabbed her. "Go back to your room."
"What's wrong with her?!"
"She drank too much again.But she'll be alright."
"Y-you swear right aunt Dashie?"
I hugged her and nodded.I took a look to Sunset she was still checking on Adagio who apparently was just barely alive.
The ambulance arrived.
As soon as they got inside Sunset told them what had happened and what was likely wrong with her. With all of the information they had and with how bad Adagio was they weren't there long and Sunset went with them, leaving me alone with Snow.
"Why did this happen? Mom was doing better so was aunt Sunset. Why can't we just be happy?" Snow broke down into tears.
I wrapped my arms around her and held her tight. "Your mom is going to be ok. You'll see."
Sunset's POV
In the ambulance they lost Adagio a couple times.When we arrived they rushed her to ICU.
I got in the room with her and took a look at the machines,her vital signs was getting worse and worse.
Looking at her I could tell this wasn't like the other times.
Part of me wonders if we should have let her go in the ambulance. I really don't know if she'll wake up. No I can't think like that, she has to be ok.
"Aunt Sunny how is she?" Snow asked me as she ran up.
"She... she's still alive but still really bad."
"What can you do for her?"
"I've done everything I can, the rest is up to her." I knew deep down she was past saving but I couldn't tell Snow that.
"She will be ok right aunt Sunny?"She said her eyes looking at mine.
I knelt down to her height and did the same thing I did when I knew I had to tell Winter Flower was past saving,when the doctors told me first.I hugged her the tighest I could,and stayed silent.
Why does it always have to be me that has to tell everyone? Why can't someone else do it? I hear Snow try and say something but I can't make it out. I feel something flutter in my chest it doesn't hurt but... next thing I know the floor is rushing up to meet me.
I'm awake but my vision blurrs,and I can't talk.
Snow is in front of me yelling,yelling,I can't understand what,she starts crying and just as a reach out to calm her down everything goes black.
