//------------------------------// // One Legendary Catch // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Rock-Soft Hills. Afternoon. Suicune. The Pokemon that was the reason for this situation. Team Plasma were on the hunt for it ever since. And bumping into them were Goh and Starlight. The lake had been poisoned to drag Suicune out. And the plan had worked. Appearing before Goh, Starlight, the single Shadow Triad member and three other grunts, was Suicune itself. "Suicune!" They all exclaimed. The Aurora Pokemon let out a cry as it exuded a beautiful blue aura from its body. The Triad Member narrowed his eyes, finally gaining sight of the main target. "Perfect. Right on time too. Banette, use Phantom Force!" The Triad Member ordered as the other grunts chimed in with their ow Pokemon. "Salazzle, Dragon Pulse!" "Barbaracle, use Stone Edge!" "Liepard, Shadow Claw!" They had changed their focus from Goh and Starlight to Suicune only. Suicune was the main target after all. Banette vanished out of thin air while Liepard lunged towards the Aurora Pokemon with claws made out of shadows. Barbaracle and Salazzle stood from afar, unleashing a dragon-shaped shockwave along with a barrage of sharp crystal stones. Suicune retaliated by simply jumping over the incoming stones and dragon blast. Afterwards, the Aurora Pokemon used Ice Beam in an instant, sending a hyper-fast chilling beam from its mouth. The beam had struck Barbaracle faster than it could even react. With that, Barbaracle had been frozen solid. "Bar-" "Bane!" Banette appeared out of thin air, attempting to whack the Aurora Pokemon. However, with quick instincts, Suicune avoided Banette's initial attack before using its tail to whack the Marionette Pokemon away. It then butted heads with Liepard's Shadow Claw, taking it head-on. Suicune pushed Liepard away with its sheer strength alone. Afterwards, the Aurora Pokemon used Hydro Pump, blasting Liepard away with a high volume blast of water. "Tough. Of course, it is." The Triad Member said as Goh and Starlight gawked at Suicune's performance. Handling all these Pokemon by itself was worthy of the title Legendary Pokemon. However, they noticed scratches around its body, indicating that it had a battle earlier. "It's already hurt." Goh noticed. "Did Team Plasma find it before?" "No worries. We have other ways." The Triad Member added before standing tall. He knew what was coming. And so did the other grunts. Speaking of grunts, appearing to the scene were other Team Plasma grunts that had eventually caught up to Suicune after pursuing it. Goh and Starlight noticed the increase of grunts. Now they were most certainly outnumbered. Suicune also looked around, growling at its pursuers. The Triad Member noticed Suicune's injuries and how the Aurora Pokemon was looking tense after all of these grunts showed up. "But...you gotta be running out of steam right now. Ever since last week when we found you roaming the fields. Healing the lake only added to that, didn't it?" The Triad Member spoke before having Suicune growl again. "They've been chasing it since last week...?" Starlight silently gasped. "Let's see how much you have left now! Attack!" The Triad Member ordered as all of the grunts focused their attacks on Suicune. This time, all of them were ranged attacks, meant to hit from afar without risking the chance of the users being hit. Multiple attacks were fired onto Suicune. The Aurora Pokemon cried out in pain, trying to fight back against these attacks. Goh and Starlight stepped forward but were immediately met with some remaining grunts who stood in their way. Goh and Starlight had a massive disadvantage at the moment. They wished to help Suicune in whatever way they could. Suicune was forced off the hill as it fell to the ground, taking a beating from all of these hits. Each time it tried to use Ice Beam or Hydro Pump, an attack would interrupt it. That's when Goh gained an idea via the ground itself. "Here goes nothing..." Goh gulped. "Flygon, Dragon Rush on the ground!" "Fly...!" Instead of charging the enemy with Dragon Rush, Flygon would use it on the ground. "Gon!" By covering itself in a draconic aura, the Mystic Pokemon smashed its body onto the ground at full force. So much force that not only did it cause a mild earthquake with everyone almost losing their balance, but a massive hole had been made from the power alone. The grunts were regaining their balance afterwards as their attention was then drawn towards Goh, Starlight, Flygon and Hatterene. "Now, Sandstorm!" "Flygon!" Flygon finished things off by whipping up its signature sandstorm. And the Mystic Pokemon made sure that this one was extra large. The same one it made when it first encountered Goh. By swinging its tail, a giant sandstorm had emerged, grabbing everyone's attention as it started to consume most of the hills with its size and rage. Suicune noticed the actions of Flygon and the massive hole it had made. If there was any chance of it escaping, this was it. The Aurora Pokemon saw that the grunts were distracted by the sandstorm, allowing it to leap over all of them. Suicune then jumped into the hole made by Flygon, just what Goh wanted. "Yes! Come on, let's go!" Goh exclaimed before he hopped on Flygon's back. Starlight returned Hatterene, also hopping on Flygon's back for a quick ride. The Mystic Pokemon went for the hole it made for a quick getaway. However, this wouldn't be ignored. The Shadow Triad Member saw their escape into the massive hole by keeping one eye open. "Sneaky little...you won't get away!" "Goh! How are we gonna hide the hole?!" Starlight asked. But Suicune had an answer for that. The Aurora Pokemon went for Ice Beam, shooting out the biggest one it could make with the amount of energy left within it. Suicune directed the beam by first hitting the top of the hole. After it did that, Suicune made an ice blockade all around it, adding some layers. The Aurora Pokemon left 10 layers of ice, making it thicker and tougher to break through. And it showed. One grunt tried having their Salazzle burn through the ice, but only the first layer was starting to melt. That would definitely keep them occupied. However, moving with the hole was the much-needed option right now before the ice is all broken apart. The Triad Member looked down at the blockade as Salazzle and the other Pokemon were trying to break the ice or even melt it. "They won't get away far." He said. "Keep destroying that ice and the rest of you, spread out. They could come up from anywhere. Deep within the hole. Flygon had made an impressive hole. One deep enough to reveal the underground cave system that was present here. "Phew...That was a close one. Good job, Flygon." Goh said. "Flygon." After a nod from Flygon, Suicune let out a small howl before staring at Goh and Starlight. The Aurora Pokemon was actually snarling at the duo, much to their surprise. "W-Why doesn't it look so happy with us? We got it away from Team Plasma, didn't we?" Starlight gulped after Suicune's snarl. She noticed that it was only her and Goh but not Flygon. "It's probably still mad after everything that's happened. Wait, Suicune!" Goh put his hands out which only alerted Suicune further. The Aurora Pokemon shot a small burst of ice that had passed Goh, hitting the ground. "Hold on! We're not here to hurt you at all. I had Flygon make this hole for you." "Flygon!" Flygon even cried out, speaking to Suicune to basically confirm this fact. Goh did in fact help with Suicune's escape. Suicune scoffed before wincing. Turns out, one of the attacks ended up poisoning it. Now it was in an even worse condition. "Let's get you to a Pokemon Center so that you'll feel-" Goh recommended but was quickly cut off when Suicune walked off. The Aurora Pokemon chose to take a nap and rest up that way, sitting at the other side of this cave. Goh and Starlight went to the other side to be met with Pokemon living here. The Pokemon immediately growled at Goh and Starlight once they had seen them, showing hostility. There was also a stream of water coming from the cave, forming a puddle. It most likely came from the lake nearby. "Now what?" Starlight scrunched her face after seeing the hostile Pokemon growling at them. "These Pokemon. They look like they're protecting Suicune." Goh realized after examining the scene. "Suicune purified the water connected to the lake here. Hold on. We're not one of Team Plasma. But I guess that doesn't really help much does it?" "Twilight might take a while to reach here. This is in the western part of Equestria after all," said Starlight. "What do we do now before Team Plasma gets here." "Pheromosa can handle it no problem. But for the meantime..." Goh dug into his bag, holding out a Poke Ball. "Come out for a bit. Out of the Poke Balls emerged Raichu. "Rai-Rai!" "Raichu. Can you go and grab some food? Team Plasma are only here for Suicune. They'll ignore you like every other Pokemon here." Goh requested. "Raichu!" Raichu understood what she needed to do. She gave off a salute before running off to find some food, mainly berries. As for Goh, he had another approach. He would heal Suicune's cure with an Antidote and heal him with a potion. The Pokemon were nervous and cautious about Goh approaching Suicune, but Flygon spoke to them, insisting that they trust Goh and Starlight as non-hostile. They allowed Goh to pass through. But Suicune was still cautious. Goh sprayed the Antidote on Suicune, removing the poison instantly while using the Potion to re-energize the Aurora Pokemon. Suicune winced after its wound had been sprayed with the potion, but it saw that it served a purpose to heal it. Thus, it didn't fight back at Goh. Starlight just sighed, waiting for Twilight and the others to get here as soon as they could. As for Team Plasma, they were just about to break and melt the last layers of ice. Meanwhile, other members were moving across the hills, waiting for Suicune to pop out for an ambush. 12 minutes later. Without being acknowledged by Team Plasma, Raichu had returned with some Oran Berries. "Rai-Rai." "Go on. Eat up, you guys." Goh encouraged Suicune and the other Pokemon to eat. Suicune and the Pokemon looked at each other before deciding to listen to Goh. Suicune took the first bite out of the Oran Berry with the other Pokemon following after. By eating those, more of Suicune's energy had been rejuvenated. Not just by the potion. The Pokemon all then started eating the plethora of berries in front of them. Goh had more as he pulled out a box of other Pokemon food inside for all of them to eat. "Looks like there's one wound left." Goh spotted a wound on Suicune's leg. He went to touch it, however, it caused Suicune to snarl at Goh. Sorry about that!" "Good thing I brought this." Starlight spoke as she pulled a handkerchief from her saddlebag. She went over to the Aurora Pokemon, tying the piece of cloth around its wounded leg. "All Suicune needs is some stamina back and it'll be good as new." However, she suddenly heard rumbling from above. That meant only one thing. Team Plasma were near. Rumbling could be heard along with the sound of ice being broken. Team Plasma had finally reached the last layer of ice with Salazzle melting it. The remaining ice had transformed into water, dropping down the hole. And after seeing that, one of the grunts had an idea. "Hold on." The grunt stepped forward, holding her hand out. "How about we drown them? Suicune will be fine thanks to that Water-Typing. The others, not so much." After that recommendation, the other grunts liked the sound of that as they nodded in approval. "Cloyster, Hydro Pump!" "Dhelmise, Brine! "Sharpedo, use Scald!" All at once, each of the grunts commanded their Pokemon that were capable of using Water-Type attacks. Streams of water were sent through the hole. Some cold, one hot. The size of these attacks, specifically Hydro Pump, were large enough to fill such a deep hole as the sound of water gushing could be heard. By hearing it, Goh and Starlight already figured out what Team Plasma were doing. And it was only confirmed when they saw a droplet of water touch the ground. "Don't tell me they...!" Starlight gasped as the Pokemon shuddered. The stream of water was moving rapidly as it had already reached the lower parts of this hole and cave. A massive flood of water was now heading for them as their eyes saw the sheer scale of it. It covered most of the area, consuming it as the Pokemon each hid behind Suicune. Thankfully, Starlight had a response to that. She formed the biggest barrier she could make, shielding everyone around here. And with great timing. The giant flood of water had reached the shield, stopping right upon contact. Unfortunately, the rest of the cave wasn't so protected. All of it had been filled with water. Starlight's shield was strong enough to stop the flood. However, if she lets that shield down, there is a good chance the rest of the water will charge through and drown them either way. Starlight held her breath in, aiming to defend against this flood somehow. She just needed to think of something. Suicune saw how all this time, Goh and Starlight were truly choosing to help it. "Starlight! I'll see if there's an exit somewhere here!" Goh asked as Starlight opened a hole on the back of her dome-shaped barrier. "Just keep that flood busy for a bit!" "T-Trying!" Starlight puffed her cheeks before expanding her magic to push the water back. Goh ran through the hole with Raichu by his side. Starlight was actually making some progress by pushing the water back with her magic. However, as she pushed it back, the grunts below noticed this. They could see the water itself being reversed. Usually, that's an odd sight to see. That meant only one thing in their minds. Goh and the others were fighting back against the flood. "Tch. Add some more! Hydro Pump!" The grunt ordered as the rest of the Pokemon added even more Water-Type attacks to increase the power of the flood. And that only made work harder for Starlight. Her hooves scraped on the ground as she noticed the sudden increase of pressure. "Hurry up, Goh!" She cried out, closing her eyes. However, here to assist her was her own Pokemon. Hatterene forced herself out of the Poke Ball just to Starlight. "Hatt!" And help she did. The Silent Pokemon used Protect, adding her own dome-shaped barrier to Starlight's. This was essentially a return favour for how Starlight did the same to Hatterene's barrier earlier. "Oh! Hatterene!" Starlight had a wide smile before seeing her partner. Hatterene doesn't usually smile, but when she does, it's gorgeous. She smiled at Starlight, reassuring the unicorn that she had her back. The two of them put some oomph into their shields to try and fend off the water. As for Goh, he had found an entrance up ahead once passing through some of the cave pathways. An entrance that would allow them to escape from the flood. However, right when he saw the entrance, he also saw a Whiscash swimming in a small pool. "Whiscash?" The Whiskers Pokemon looked up at Goh with a tilted head of confusion. "Oh...That'll do." An idea sprouted in Goh's head afterwards. He had something brewing. Specifically for Team Plasma. 5 minutes later. 5 minutes had passed. The flooding had stopped as the grunts had seen. They believed that the water had eventually gotten through, thus all attacks had ceased. Now, they were just waiting for Suicune to show itself. While it does well in water, it cannot live in it forever. On the other side, some grunts were waiting to ambush Suicune. The rest of the grunts looked at the large pool of water before walking off. They had met up with the rest of the grunts afterwards. "No sign of Suicune. But those brats should've definitely drowned by now." One of the grunts said. "No one's shown up from the entrance yet." "Give it a few more hours for Suicune to emerge." said the Triad Member. "But. There are other ways to drag Pokemon out by force." "Hm." A grunt nodded after hearing the Triad Member. She knew what she could do. "Lairon, Metal So-" "Fissure!" Just then, the voice of Goh could be heard booming from an opposite direction. Before everyone could properly react, a fissure opened in the ground. Not as big as the hole Flygon made, but wide enough to trap someone inside. The grunts and Pokemon gasped as some of them had lost their balance, falling inside. Some of them screamed as they were stuck between the ground via a tight gap. And it was all thanks to Whiscash. Goh caught Whiscash just for that one moment. That was a good approach to take out a good amount of the grunts. "Nice! Now, Cinderace, Quick Attack!" "Cinderace!" Along came Cinderace, moving at lightning speeds. The Striker Pokemon tacked a few of the opposing Pokemon right when they were regaining their balance once Whiscash made a fissure. The opposing Pokemon had been knocked over by this attack. "Psycho Cut!" And beside Goh was Starlight and Hatterene. "Tterene!" The Silent Pokemon followed up by hitting the opposing Poison-Types with tearing blades of Psychic energy. Some of them had been knocked out from the incoming blades. A great sneak attack from Goh and Starlight. "You...!" The Triad Member growled as he turned to face the duo. "Clever sneak attack. That'll be the last one you'll ever get. Banette, Throat Chop!" "Nette!" His Banette moved through the air, ready to strike anyone's throat. And the first Pokemon it saw was Cinderace. "Flygon, Sandstorm!" "Gon!" Along came Flygon, standing in the way of Banette. The Mystic Pokemon whipped up a sandstorm with its tail, using it to blow Banette back. It kept a good distance with that attack as some Pokemon had also been blown back by this whirling sandstorm. Goh grinned, only ticking the Triad Member off as his Cinderace, Flygon, Whishcash and Raichu stood beside him to protect and assist their trainer. "As for all of you." Starlight went up to the grunts and Pokemon stuck in the gap. She had a devious look on her face. along with Hatterene. One that could send chills down their spine. "Rest, why don't you? Hatterene, if you will?" "Hatterene..." One look and Hatterene already had all the targets she wanted within her trance with Hypnosis. Hatterene moved her claw around to hypnotize them easily. And just like that, the grunts had been put to sleep. "Raichu, use Thunderbolt! Whiscash, Water Pulse! Flygon, Dragon Rush! Cinderace, Pyro Ball!" All at once, Goh's Pokemon had attacked with Dragonite moving ahead. The other grunts commanded their Pokemon to try and win this battle. Flygon charged through some Pokemon with Dragon Rush, knocking them away while flying into the air. The Mystic Pokemon then dived down, crashing into even more of the opposing Pokemon. Raichu unleashed 100,000 volts from her body along with Whiscash unleashing a pulse of water. The bolt and pulse had clashed with other incoming ranged attacks. But they wouldn't be enough. Luckily, Cinderace got a fairly large pebble, using that as a base for Pyro Ball. With some devastating kicks, Cinderace sent its biggest Pyro Ball yet. It completely blazed through the ranged attacks, allowing Thunderbolt and Water Pulse to pass through. A triple hit from both attacks as an outburst of different elements emerged up contact. The Pokemon and grunts had been blown away with some of them fainting. "I see. Return, Banette." The Triad Member recalled his Banette before examining the scene. Thanks to Fissure, most of the grunts had been dropped to the ground and put to sleep by Hatterene's Hypnosis. And that allowed Goh's Pokemon to have a better chance at evening the odds. "Go, Bisharp!" However, the next Pokemon the Triad Member had wouldn't be so pleasant to go up against. A Bisharp. "Bisharp!" "Let's make this quick. Lash Out!" "Bi...Sharp!" Bisharp roared before exuding multiple black tendrils from its body. They flew in every direction, enough to catch dozens of Pokemon. And they certainly did. Flygon had been struck by one of these tendrils, falling out of the sky once it whacked it. "Whiscash, Fi-" "Ice Beam!" Interrupting Goh's Whishcash was the Barbaracle from before. A stream of ice came flying over before Whiscash could slam its body on the ground. The beam struck the Whiskers Pokemon, freezing it. "Ah, Whiscash!" Goh gasped after seeing Whiscash enter a frozen state. "Bisharp, use Night Slash, now!" "Dhelmise, Power Whip!" "Lairon, Earth Power!" "Araquanid, Liquidation!" Team Plasma were now going on the offensive with pure aggression. Even with fewer members active, they were still a force to behold. "Cinderace, Blaze Kick! Flygon, Dragon Breath! Raichu, Thunder Punch!" Goh's Pokemon fought back as well. Cinderace jumped over Dhelmise' incoming Power Whip, but doing that allowed Dhelmise to strike Whiscash, dealing super-effective damage. The Whiskers Pokemon had fainted from that initial hit. As if being frozen wasn't enough. Goh quickly returned Whiscash for it to rest up. Cinderace performed a dive kick, smashing its foot into the body of Dhelmise. A super-effective hit as an explosion of flames happened afterwards, knocking the Sea Creeper away. However, the moment Cinderace did so, along came Bisharp, moving faster than Cinderace expected. The Sword Blade Pokemon caught Cinderace off guard, slashing the Striker Pokemon's chest. "C-Cinder!" Cinderace went flying from that as it tumbled on the ground afterwards. "Raichu...!" Raichu approached Araquanid with Thunder Punch, clashing with the Water Bubble Pokemon's Liquidation. The moves reacted to each other as water and electricity normally do. Once that happened, they had separated. But just what Araquanid wanted. Right as they separated, the golden shockwaves from Lairon's Earth Power caught Raichu. "R-Rai!" Raichu was also sent back as she wasn't the only one hit by this. Once Cinderace hit the ground, the golden shockwaves struck it as well, not giving the Fire-Type a break. "Cinderace! Raichu!" Goh cried out before having Bisharp run over to him. He gasped, witnessing the Dark-Steel-Type approaching him with a Night Slash. "Hatterene, Dazzling Gleam!" "Hatt!" But, there was Hatterene to defend him. Hatterene covered herself in a sphere of rainbows, charging towards the Sword Blade Pokemon. But it was all in vain. Bisharp had switched from Night Slash to Iron Head. With pure power, the Dark-Steel-Type smashed its head onto Hatterene's sphere. One headbutt and the sphere had been overpowered, breaking it apart. Bisharp's head also smashed Hatterene's own head, causing her to cry out. The Sword Blade Pokemon then followed up with Night Slash after staggering Hatterene. Poor Hatterene had been sent flying from this double hit. "Sharp!" Just like that, Bisharp had turned the tables along with the rest of the Team Plasma Pokemon. Fewer active members meant nothing when they had a Shadow Triad Member on their side, plus other highly skilled grunts who certainly aren't pushovers. "You kids really know how to drag things out. But I'm afraid your luck is running out now." The Triad Member cracked some of his bones to adjust himself. "Bring it out." To Goh and Starlight's shock, right out of the cave that they hid from, Suicune had emerged. But not by its own will. Some Team Plasma grunts steered away from the battling portion. They chose to capture Suicune. And capture it they did. A weakened Suicune, still not at full strength, was within their hold. They had used pure a metal collar, placing it around Suicune's neck. Not only that, but other metal restraints were all around it. Its muzzle, mane and legs. And each time Suicune struggled and attempted to break free, the restraints would active their electrical functions, shocking the Aurora Pokemon. "Suicune!" Goh and Starlight turned around to see Suicune being pulled and restrained by these objects. Courtesy of Colress, of course. The restraints even had chains for the grunts to hold. Suicune's muzzle was being restrained the most with how tight the metal clamp was. The grunts them yanked the chains, slamming Suicune on the ground with a daily hard impact. The Aurora Pokemon cried out in pain once more. "Stop it!" Goh ran over to try and save Suicune, only to be met by a speedy Bisharp that appeared in front of him. Bisharp had a Night Slash ready, swinging a blade of darkness at him. Goh's shirt was slashed by this as Bisharp barely missed him. Goh fell on his back, looking up at the Sword Blade Pokemon with tears forming in his eyes. "Bisharp." "Oh! Goh! Hatterene! Da-" Even Starlight couldn't get a word in. Both her and Hatterene were met by a Sticky Web from Araquanid. Right from behind as well. The two of them had fallen over with the web landing on them. Their faces met with the floor. An unpleasant position to be in. "Mmmrph!" Starlight tried using her magic to break free, only to have the Shadow Triad Member walk up and step on her horn. Starlight cried out as her magic had been interrupted. To add insult to injury, the Triad Member brought his Banette out once more. "Banette!" Banette giggled before circling the two of them. It had used Psychic to hold them in place while Araquanid added some more webs to the mix. Poor Suicune was trying to break free but was only met with electrical shocks afterwards. "Stop!" Try as he might, Goh's words wouldn't work. There was no way Team Plasma was going to stop this. Not until they had Suicune. And that looked to be the case. Until... "Pikachu! Quick Attack! Lucario, Aura Sphere!" "Use Quick Attack too, Eve! Absol, Night Slash!" "Pika-Pika-Pika!" Moving at breakneck speeds was the Mouse Pokemon, Pikachu and the Sun Pokemon Espeon. Faster than everyone could see, Pikachu and Espeon had tackled the Triad Member, knocking him away from Starlight and Hatterene. "Absol!" Absol had dealt with Banette via Night Slash. The Disaster Pokemon forced the Marionette Pokemon away with a swift slash of darkness, gifting super-effective damage. Absol had even cut off the web holding Starlight and Hatterene. "B-Bane!" "Luca...Rio!" As for Lucario, he jumped into the air, summoning a large sphere of Aura. He growled before lobbing the sphere at full strength. The sphere moved through the air, large enough to engulf multiple Pokemon. And it certainly did. Lairon, Araquanid and a few others had been struck by this attack. Some taking super-effective damage in the process. Lucario landed down with the smoke clearing. Ash and Twilight had arrived. "Goh! Starlight! Are you okay?!" Ash asked. "Ash! Twilight!" Hope had filled Starlight's heart after she saw her friends arrive. "How'd you get here so fast without Pheromosa!" "Heh. I've been taking some lessons from Rainbow Dash." Twilight had a proud smile on her face. "Also there was a shortcut." "Ash Ketchum..." The Triad Member sat up from the ground after that tackle. "Can't help but meddle in everyone's business! You and your friends! Bisharp, Night Slash!" "Lucario, Force Palm!" "Lu!" Lucario bolted off the ground, leaving behind a shockwave and a small crater. He approached Bisharp before ducking underneath the incoming Night Slash. He gave the Dark-Steel-Type a swift upwards hit with Force Palm, knocking Bisharp into the air. "B-Bisharp?!" "Cario...!" Lucario then followed up with a secondary hit. Once Bisharp was in the air, the Aura Pokemon jumped up, appearing before it. With no mercy for those who harm and threaten his friends, Lucario put a ton of strength into this next attack. He smashed his concentrated paw onto Bisharp's stomach, rocketing the Sword Blade Pokemon down. A hard impact was made on Bisharp had crashed. Not only that, but it had fainted from the initial hit and crash landing. "Bi-Bisharp..." "Tch!" The Triad Member recalled his Bishar before sending out his next Pokemon. "Accelgor, come out!" "Accelgor!" "Accelgor, Water Shuriken! Banette, use Throat Chop!" "Now, Galvantula, use Discharge!" "Araquanid, Crunch!" "I don't think so! Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Lucario, Aura Sphere!" "Eve! Absol! Stop them Psychic and Night Slash" All at once, Ash and Twilight's Pokemon were in perfect sync. Pikachu and Lucario unleashed 100,000 volts and a sphere of Aura forward, clashing with the double Water Shurikens and Discharge. Absol's horn clashed with Banette's claws as they were both coated in darkness. Araquanid moved past them both, summoning fangs of darkness in front of its mouth. Araquanid went straight for Espeon, which ended up being a massive mistake. Espeon's eyes flared blue, holding the Sea Spider Pokemon in place. Araquanid quickly realized that it was now being restrained. The Sun Pokemon then sent Araquanid flying, crashing into Galvantula and Accelgor. "Nice, Eve!" Twilight cheered as Absol slid back, separating his clash with Banette. Goh returned his injured Pokemon, all except for Cinderace ho was still active. Starlight helped Hatterene up who was a bit exhausted at the moment. The two forces stared each other down with electricity flaring out of Pikachu's red sacs. The Shadow Triad member still had a lot more to give out as well as the grunts. However, one of the grunts decided to play things with a stealthy nature. Hiding behind one of the hills, she had spotted the battle taking place. A quick assist to her team wouldn't hurt. "About time we got Ash Ketchum and his friends out of the way." She whispered. "Dusclops, Hyper Beam!" "Dusclops!" Phasing through the hill and ascending into the air was not one, but two different Dusclops that were under her possession. Both Dusclops had used Hyper Beam in unison, shooting it downwards at Ash and the group while their attention was somewhere else. Just then, their attention was turned towards the beams. Lucario was the first to react to Aura, however, it was too late to stop them both. He had to try. He created a single Aura Sphere, building up its power. But Lucario wasn't alone. With a mighty gale of wind, a stream of water suddenly intercepted the two Hyper Beams, pushing them away. The Hyper Beams had been cancelled out by another powerful move. One that came from Suicune. The metal restraints were still on its body. However, someone had dealt with the grunts. That, someone, was the Lapras from before, using Ice Beam to freeze the grunts in place. This allowed Suicune to have this one chance of action. "Oh! Suicune! Thanks, again Lapras!" Goh smiled with joy as Suicune stood up, feeling a bit tense from all the shocks it had taken. "Cinderace, Blaze Kick!" "Ace!" Luckily, Cinderace was there to handle that. The Striker Pokemon ran up, perfectly kicking the metal restraints off the Aurora Pokemon with an ignited foot. And without any damage. Suicune then unleashed a majestic roar while exuding a blue aura around it. The roar enchanted everyone as Suicune, while not at full strength, was strong enough to lend a hand. The furious gale it exuded continued a Goh and Suicune looked each other in the eyes. At that moment, Suicune understood Goh as the gales calmed down. With that stare, Goh understood what Suicune was trying to say. The Aurora Pokemon would happily assist them. "Suicune...You'll really help us?" And Suicune merely responded with a cry. And that certainly made Goh smile. "Alright! Then in that case...Suicune, use Hydro Pump!" Goh commanded as Suicune actually listen to him. The Aurora Pokemon leapt off the ground, sending a high volume blast of water forward. And it did this multiple times without needing to take a small break. Banette and the two Dusclops were blown back by the repeated Hydro Pumps. The speed they came out at was ridiculous. But, they were being used by a Legendary Pokemon, so it only makes sense. And with attacks that powerful, Banette and Dusclops were dealt with easily. "B-Bane!" "Dusclops!" "Nice! Let's finish this! Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Lucario, Aura Sphere!" "Eve, Dazzling Gleam! Absol, Dark Pulse!" "Hatterene, Psycho Cut!" "Like you'll stop us here! Accelgor, use Sludge Bomb!" "Araquanid, Hydro Pump!" "Galvantula, use Bug Buzz!" All at once, each Pokemon unleashed their attacks, entering yet another clash of moves. However, things were different this time. With added numbers, the odds were altered once more. Thunderbolt and Dazzling Gleam broke through, shocking Araquanid while also bombarding Galvantula with rainbow rays and darkness. Accelgor had been struck by Psychic blades and a sphere of Aura. "Here goes! Ice Beam!" Goh roared, raising his hands. Suicune let out one last powerful roar before unleashing a chilling beam of ice on its pursuers without mercy. The beam travelled at ferocious speeds to exhibit Suicune's anger towards Team Plasma. And with one wonderful hit, Accelgor had fainted as well as the other Pokemon who had been struck by the opposing attacks. And to add insult to injury, the grunts had also been frozen by Suicune's Ice Beam. Minus the Shadow Triad Member of course. It was safe to say who had won this battle. "C-C-Cold..." The grunts shivered within the icy prison. Suicune scoffed before having a leftover cold breath. The Triad Member saw the outcome and wasn't ready to deal with the rest of this. "Curse it all." That is all he said before suddenly vanishing. Once more, he used the shadows to disappear. How do he and the other members do it? Unknown. But most likely, something similar to the ninjas at Ninja Village. He had escaped for now. "That's that. Great job." Ash nudged Goh while Twilight nudged Starlight. "Pikachu." Afterwards, Officer Jenny had been called by Ash. They had used a gateway to make a quicker journey here. Now the Pokemon Police Force has access to Travel Spheres, most likely thanks to the Pokemon Rangers. How nifty. Jenny and the other officers had placed the frozen grunts in multiple police vans. There were quite a lot of them. The ones frozen up here and the others stuck in the gap made by Whiscash' Fissure. "We'll take care of the rest," said Jenny. "It's hard to find Team Plasma nowadays anyway. Good job, all of you." "It was nothing." Starlight had a proud smile and grin on her face along with Goh. Jenny and her officers left, entering the van and carrying the grunts off while they were still frozen. And since this was Pokemon ice, it wasn't melting any time soon. Starlight was also exceptionally happy because she also ended up catching her second Pokemon. The Lapras from before. It was of great help after all. "Finally...glad that's over with." Goh let out a sigh of relief before turning around. He bumped into Suicune after doing so. "Oh. Suicune?" The Aurora Pokemon stared Goh in the eyes after their little encounter. Goh wasn't sure what Suicune was ready to do at the moment. But to his shock, the Aurora Pokemon dug into Goh's bag, pulling out an unexpected item. A Poke Ball. Suicune then dropped the Poke Ball in Goh's hands while Goh had a bewildered look in his eyes. He quickly realized what Suicune was getting at. "H-Huh? Are you sure? You serious?" Goh asked. Suicune merely responded with a single nod. Ash and the others kept their eyes focused on this. Goh understood Suicune's decision with his own nod as he threw the Poke Ball. "Go, Poke Ball." One-touch, transitioning into the shaking. 1...2...3... Gotcha! Suicune was caught. "OOoh!" Ash and the others gawked at this capture. "Nice-Nice!" "Nice is right! I got a Suicune!" Goh raised the Poke Ball with joy. "Wait till Professor Cerise hears about this!" Kanto Region. Vermillion City. Cerise Labarotary. Afternoon. Speaking of Cerise, over at the Cerise Park, Goh had sent out Suicune, showing it to Cerise and his assistants Chrysa and Ren. Naturally, they were star-struck "I didn't think I'd ever see it this up close..." Cerise gawked at the Aurora Pokemon. "Awesome! You really caught Suicune!" Ren exclaimed. "It's so pretty...!" Chrysa was just in awe, unable to close her eyes. Then, Suicune jumped onto one of the hills of Cerise Park with all eyes on it. After reaching the highest point, the Aurora Pokemon let out its majestic cry once more, bringing yet another gale. "Suicune?" Goh wondered what Suicune was up to. Wondering would have to wait as the gale affected everyone. Including the Pokemon living in Cerise Park. They closed their eyes from this fairly potent gale. And once they opened them when the gale ended, they found out that Suicune was gone. "W-Where'd Suicune go? "Twilight wondered. "It's there," Goh answered. "Maybe not present in this spot, but it's there, even if we can't see it. I can tell." "Uh..." Twilight paused at that answer, trying to figure it out. "Yeah. I get what you mean." Ash nodded. "That's right!" "You do?" Twilight and Starlight both said before looking at each other. It seems they still don't understand humans at all. Especially people like Ash and Goh. But that just comes naturally after all. Goh has formed a clear bond with the Legendary Pokemon Suicune. It's a large step towards his dream. But the world still holds many more Pokemon. And many of them have yet to be met as the journey continues. Chapter 523 End.
