My Little Pokémon

Mind in a Frenzy

Equestria. Frenzy Forest. Delphox's hut. Day.

"Oh..." Delphox had just woken up, feeling the golden sun beaming on her face. She grumbled, sitting up from her bed while her wand dropped off her head. "Mmm...Morning." She sat there for a few minutes, having her eyes closed as she wanted to take this in for a while.

But this was quickly disrupted by a knock on her door. Delphox sighed, knowing that she wasn't going to get some extra sleep at this rate.

"Coming." She got off her bed, picking up her wand while adjusting her fur. It was a bit rugged in the morning after all. Once she opened the door, she was met with the sight of Combee. "Combee?"

"Morning, Ms Delphox! Important news from her majesty, Queen Vespiquen!" The Combee said as the third face had a letter in its mouth, giving it to Delphox. The Fox Pokemon took the letter, reading what it had to say.

"An Open House event for the forest? Oh." Delphox spoke before squinting her eyes at the paper. She was too tired to concentrate at the moment, but she could make this out. "That's today?"

"Today!" The three faces spoke.

"I'll be there. Just give me some more time." Delphox nodded while yawning. The Combee thanked her by buzzing as they left her hut to report to their queen. Delphox had to prepare herself for today. An Open House for Frenzy Forest meant new Pokemon were due to show up and check out their new homes. Much like how the Pokemon House at Ponyville acts.

Speaking of Frenzy Forest, it has already gone through some changes over the days. More and more, it's becoming the secondary Pokemon House for Pokemon. Not quite on the same scale as the Pokemon House, but still fairly big.

It was slowly becoming a forest for Pokemon to live in and essentially a settlement or a civilization. Best of both worlds, really. Plus the sun looks better in this area, even if it gets in their faces.

Delphox got herself ready for the day as she walked out of her hut. By waking out, many Pokemon could be seen outside. Old and new. The new ones were here for the Open House of course. And for that event, that would take place over the Hive, where Vespiquen and her subjects reside.

Some of the Pokemon waved to Dephox as a greeting. Some were even more formal, calling her Miss. In truth, Delphox had earned the respect of many Pokemon in this forest, for being such a great help to them and a mother figure in some way.

Even Vespiquen, who seemed incredibly strict with her royal power, showed respect to her. And why wouldn't they? Delphox got a good look at all the Pokemon here. With all these newcomers, they would be assigned to certain sections depending on their Typing. The only one exempt from this is Delphox since she has her own hut. Speaking of newcomers, as Delphox would out into the open to see the new Pokemon, one of the newcomers came to her. A Dottler.

"Oh, hello there." Delphox kneeled to face the Radome Pokemon. "Welcome to Frenzy Forest. Here to find a place to establish your new living style?"

"Likewise," Dottler spoke while sniffling a small bit, looking up at the Fox Pokemon. "I've heard of this place and the Pokemon House. How they are free to all Pokemon. Quite superb for a condominium such as this."

"My you use such big words." Delphox chuckled, surprised at how intelligently this young Pokemon was speaking. Then again, he was a Psychic-Type. They do have smart brains.

"You acknowledge my teacher for my vocabulary."

"Oh, who's your teacheeeeer?!" Delphox's words became a bit prolonged as she looked up, noticing a shadow being cast over her. After looking up, she saw a Gothitellte standing before her. A Gothitelle with a fairly crooked expression. "Ah!"

"Morning. Ms, Delphox." She spoke in a dry voice.

"Ahaha...Y-Yes." Delphox chuckled, trying to regain herself as she held her hand out for a handshake. "Sorry about that. You scared me there."

"Likewise." Just like Dottler, she spoke like him. It made sense where he learned this vocabulary for such a young Pokemon. An actual child. "Pleased to be in this forest. Hopefully, you treat us well. Our previous establishment was destroyed by some sort of flying steel machine.

"Oh, we will. You won't be disappointed. Trust me. Everyone here's just great. Just head on over to the hive and let Queen Vespiquen handle things from there."

"Hm. Come along, Dottler," said Gothitelle as she and Dottler made their way towards the hive with the newcomers. Delphox sighed after receiving that shock from Gothitelle. She certainly had a different expression than most Gothitelle, that's for sure.

"Boy, she's creepy." And a nearby Litleo agreed. The same Litleo that met with Twilight and Applejack. Alongside him was a Karrablast and Makuhita.

"Ah!" Delphox turned to the three of them. "Litleo! You three! Don't be rude!"

"But it's true," Karrablast replied. "I've got freaky vibes from her. Eeugh."

"That shouldn't bother you three. After all, Aggron is intimidating to look at and you three don't mind, do you?"

"Yeah, but Aggron's super nice and saved us once," Makuhita responded while patting his stomach. "Fed us too. I can still feel it in my belly.

"Just don't think badly of her. Come on. Let's head to the hive." Delphox pleaded with them as she led the three young Pokemon to the hive, following the newcomers as Open House Day was ready.

Bug-Type section. Vespiquen's hive.

Over at the Hive, the new Pokemon were all allowed inside by order of Vespiquen. Here at the Open House event, all the new Pokemon had to do was say why they came here and Vespiquen would have something for them to live in. Frenzy Forest was massive and had a ton of space. She had Delphox and a few Combee by her side.

"Why exactly have you come here and wish to reside in this forest? Speak your mind." Vespiquen said to the newcomers as they would have to take turns answering questions. All of them gave their reasons and their answers all had a similar pattern.

First was a Flaaffy.

"I came here because my home was obliterated by some large storm monster. It was massive! Tore our whole home apart, even if we resisted electricity."

Next was a group of Shelgon.

"Our cave was torn apart by some giant electric monster. Stomped right on it all. The rest of us Shelgon left the remains of our home. There was no cave like it."

Then a flock of Swoobat.

"Woooeell! An invasion came along and wooooshed everything we had. All of our food is gone. Wooo..." The Swoobat all hung their head in sadness.

And then, a flock of Pideotto.

"A giant pulse of electricity destroyed our home and harmed us. Nowhere seemed suitable to call home. Plus, some invasion came along and made things harder for us. Then a wildfire showed up. We can barely go anywhere without something ruining our nests."

And the only straightforward one that didn't involve destruction or an invasion that messes up their home in one way or another. A Mightyena and a Poochyena.

"We heard the food here is good."

"Good! Hand over the food!" Poochyena repeated after her father, trying to make herself look bigger than she is by bristling up her tail.

From hearing the constant barrage of answers, Vespiquen and Delphox noticed one similar pattern with all of them. And a very recognizable one.

The Storm Behemoth and the Invasion of Equestria.

"These all seem very similar, don't they?" Delphox whispered.

"What do you expect? This world can't catch a break at all," said Vespiquen. "It wouldn't surprise me if this world ends up meeting its end in a blaze of glory or something else that'll obliterate it."

"R-Right...Let's hope that doesn't happen." Delphox chuckled nervously before calling for the next Pokemon and their reason. "Next, please!"

Meanwhile, on the outside, the Pokemon that already lived here were watching their soon-to-be neighbours walked in and out of the hive. Watching this was also Litleo, Karrablast and Makuhita. But as they stood by, seeing the array of Pokemon come and go, they also noticed two certain individuals.

The Gothitelle and Dottler. Delphox already told them not to look and judge them. Especially Gothitelle. But the expression she gave was just so haunting to them. It made Makuhita's legs quake.

"Should we keep looking?" Karrablast asked.

"No, duh. Psychic-Types are super smart. They'll notice us easily if we keep staring." Litleo then responded. "But boy, I'm getting some bad feelings from them."

"They don't seem too bad." Makuhita rubbed the back of his head while his legs were still quaking.

"You're still shaking!" Litleo pointed out.

"Yeah. But she's just scary to look at. That doesn't mean she's bad or-" Just as Makuhita said that the Pokemon around this area heard something approaching, bursting through one of the trees was a Heracross, flipping a Krabby over with its horn.

Everyone gasped as the tree broke through with Krabby tumbling on the ground. Heracross made a landing with this sudden attack. Not only that, but it was breathing in and out with squinted eyes.

"Urgh..." Heracross groaned, having a bluish aura around his eyes as he then let out a bellowing yell, swinging his horn and chopping off a tree with it.

"What's wrong with Mr Heracross?!" A Marril exclaimed.

"I don't know...He just started swinging for no reason..." Krabby groaned before fainting. Heracross then locked onto the group right here, confusing and startling everyone. Especially the newer Pokemon. However, they were used to Wild Pokemon attacks anyway.

Heracross then started attacking everyone, using Megahorn as it jumped into the air. Heracross is a powerful Pokemon. So powerful that not many Pokemon in the forest would even think of challenging him. So, when the Single Horn Pokemon started attacking, some of the Pokemon scattered away.

Heracross smashed his horn on the ground, causing a seismic wave to form, blowing the blades of grass and even some Pokemon away. Delphox and Vespiquen felt that as the Single Horn Pokemon landed in front of Litleo.

"What was that?!" Delphox stood up after feeling that shockwave.

"Litleo! This way! This way!" Karrablast called out as he and Makuhita had already run from the hills. They weren't risking being in the same area as a seemingly rampaging Heracross.

"No way!" Litleo suddenly responded with a headshake whilst looking up at Heracross. "I'm gonna be a big and strong Pyroar soon like my dad! Now's my chance to prove it!"

"Are you crazy?!" Makuhita screeched.

"Get a load of my Fire Spin!" Litleo let out a cute roar, trying to act tough. He opened his mouth, immediately breathing out a fierce vortex of fire, sending it right towards the Bug-Fire-Type. It made contact thankfully. Heracross didn't dodge or block the attack at all.

Probably because it was seemingly feeling befuddled and stupefied, especially with the blue aura coming from his eyes. He had been pushed back slightly with super-effective damage and flames surrounding his body. However, even if the attack was super-effective, it barely did much to him. Litleo was still fairly weak as the Single Horn Pokemon gave the Fire-Type a death stare.

"Uh oh." Litleo gulped, realizing that he was outmatched at the moment. Heracross decided to respond with Aerial Ace, rushing towards LItleo at incredible speeds, ready to strike the Lion Cub Pokemon. "I'm sorry!" He cowered in fear, afraid to be hit by any attack.

Thankfully, that didn't happen as someone had shielded the Lion Cub Pokemon from Aerial Ace. Litleo opened his eyes to see who his guardian was.

It was his father of course.

"Dad!"

Pyroar snared as he took the force of Aerial Ace by using his head as a shield. After doing so and narrowing his eyes, the Royal Pokemon increased the heat of his mane to great degrees while also breathing out a hot breath from his mouth.

"Agh!" Heracross cried out as he felt the flames catch onto his hand after Pyroar lit his mane. Not only that, but his chest felt the scorching-hot breath attack, forcing the Single Horn Pokemon to back away.

Pyroar then followed up with a mighty roar, enchanting everyone around him. The Royal Pokemon then attacked with Iron Tail, swinging his hardened tail around and whacking the Bug-Fighting-Type in the face with it. Heracross received a powerful smack as Pyroar then pounced on his prey.

"You think you can harm my son?!" Pyroar growled while pinning down the Single Horn Pokemon. Pyroar was one of the few Pokemon who could stand up to powerful Pokemon in the forest. He was powerful himself. His son, Litleo, immediately gained starry eyes. His father was his idol after all.

"Cool...Go get 'em, dad!" Litleo gawked as Makuhita and Karrablast pulled him away from the scenario. While pulling their friend away, they noticed how Gothitelle was looking at the action unphased. In fact, Gothitelle had a blue aura in her eyes, similar to what Heracross had. Not only that, but Gothitelle seemed to be muttering something under her breath with her eyes tracking Heracross. "Hey..."

"Oh my!" Delphox and Vespiquen had arrived outside, witnessing the current scenario taking place. "Heracross? Pyroar?" Delphox gasped, seeing the two of them battling.

"They don't usually battle at all. And what is all of this destruction?" Vespiquen said whilst noticing the destroyed trees, rubble and fainted Krabby.

"G-Get away from me!" Heracross shouted as he pushed Pyroar off. The Royal Pokemon slid on the ground before unleashing a mighty Flamethrower from his mouth. Heracross countered by using Brick Break to cut the attack in half. The Single Horn Pokemon then groaned, holding his head in pain.

"Aha! I see what it is!" Delphox noticed what was wrong with Heracross. "Pyroar! Let me handle this!" After calling out to her fellow Fire-Type. Pyroar backed away, allowing Delphox to deal with this.

The Fox Pokemon held out her wand, aiming it at the Single Horn Pokemon. She could see that Heracross wasn't in his right mind at the moment. So the best thing to do was to snap him out of it. And Delphox did this by using Signal Beam.

She sent a sinister beam of light that was constantly flashing. This beam came in contact with the eyes of Heracross. The flashing lights were actually able to break the blue aura around Heracross' eyes, freeing him from this current state.

"Ugh..." Heracross groaned after being freed. "W-What?"

"Heracross? Are you alright?" Delphox went up to the Single Horn Pokemon, knowing that this wasn't his fault. He would never do this on purpose. All the Pokemon came over to see that the rampage had stopped ."You looked like you were under control there."

"Sorry. I don't know what happened. I was just feeding off of Shuckle's juice and then I ended up going crazy." Heracross scratched his head. "My bad."

"Don't worry. Just get some rest and you'll feel better. It's okay everyone!" Delphox then bellowed to the Pokemon. "Heracross here was just under some mind control."

"Probably by Gothitelle..." Litleo whispered to his friends as they gazed at Gothitelle. Her eyes were no longer glowing blue as she turned around, not facing Heracross like the others Dottler walked next to her. "Those blue eyes are a dead giveaway, aren't they?"

"Son. Let's go," said Pyroar as he walked up to his son.

"Aw, right now, dad?" Litleo groaned. "I'm totally fine. See? No scratches."

"I can see that." Pyroar then grabbed his son by biting onto his back and picking him up. He then walked off with the Lion Cub Pokemon in his grasp. "But your mother will yell at me if I don't return you. It'll only be for 20 minutes."

"But the Gothitelle might control someone else again!" Litleo cried out. "We should help!"

"Let Queen Vespiquen and the others handle that."

"I'll be with you guys! Just give me 20 minutes!" Litleo flailed his paws around to Makuhita and Karrablast. The two little Pokemon turned around as the Open House event carried on even after all of that.

The Heracross attack thankfully didn't convince anyone to leave Frenzy Forest. Pokemon attacks aren't uncommon after all. It's something every Pokemon has grown to deal with it. And right on cue, the next ones for the Open House event were Gothitelle and Dottler.

1 hour later.

The event had finished. Every Pokemon had given their reasons and Vespiquen had given them homes to live in. Litleo met up with his friends again, here for one thing. To see if they could stop Gothitelle from controlling another Pokemon. And they met up at the Psychic-Type section, where all Psychic-Types are assigned.

If they have Psychic as a secondary typing and another as their primary, the Pokemon can actually choose which section they wish to stay in. A perfect alternative.

"Okay. So when do you think she'll do it again?" Litleo asked.

"Meh. Anytime," said Karrablast. "But why would she do that? Do you think she came here to have fun with controlling others?"

"I don't know what seems fun about that. Heracross wasn't having any fun." Makuhita shook his head. "But maybe we're being too harsh on her. She could have a good reason."

"Maybe." Litleo shifted his eyes while nodding his head. "We should still be super careful. Cause we've got a mystery on our paws now with this."

"What are you boys conversing about?" Right on cue, the one to reply to the young ones was the intimidating individual herself, standing behind them.

Gothitelle.

"AH!" They screeched before jumping back, grabbing onto the nearest tree after seeing her face. "Ms Gothitelle! Oh and Dottler. S-Sorry."

"W-We're talking behind your ba-" Makuhita was ready to reveal the truth before Litleo put his paw over his mouth. But it was too late. Gothitelle could make out Makuhita's words.

"Were you now?" She squinted her eyes, further instilling fear in the pre-evolved Pokemon. "It is coarse to do so, as you should know. And for what purpose?" She wanted the truth out of them. Unfortunately for the young Pokemon, the fear that Gothitelle excused was enough to force the truth out of their mouths.

But thankfully, that didn't happen as Delphox had come over to see all the newcomers and how they were faring in their new homes here in Frenzy Forest.

"Ah. Gothitelle. And little Dottler. How are things now? Is this the place for you?" Delphox asked as the three little Pokemon let out sighs of relief.

"Exceptional. This section seems peaceful enough for us to work. Especially alongside our fellow Psychic-Types." Gothitelle put her hands behind her back.

"Work? How so exactly?" Delphox was curious.

"Come now, Delphox. You as a Psychic-Type yourself should know why. We Psychic-Type Pokemon practice to increase our cerebral capabilities to the utmost prime. Making sure we never saunter in our proficiency. So we improve on what we can already perform. Whether it's telekinesis, precognition, mind control-"

That part caught the attention of the little ones as Gothitelle went on to Delphox. Mind Control. As if that didn't make them nervous enough.

"Mind control?" They said to each other as they slid down the tree. At the same time, while Gothitelle rambled, Dottler went up to his fellow young Pokemon. Although, he was slightly older than them. Second stage Pokemon tend to lean more towards teenagers at times.

"Apologies if my teacher terrifies you," Dottler said.

"Pssh. Nah." Litleo scoffed, puffing his chest up and out to make himself seem brave and steel-hearted. "Not anymore. Just a little startled, that's all."

"Didn't feel little to me." Makuhita sighed.

"Don't fret about my teacher. You'll get used to her expression someday. But while you three are here, do you know about a certain object? Right underneath us."

"Underneath?" The trio of little Pokemon looked down on the ground, wondering what Dottler meant. Obviously, he was referring to something being below the ground itself. "What's there?"

"Not many know. All they know is that during the meeting of both worlds, certain items were scattered across the worlds' randomly, much like us Pokemon. Rare items. A Xatu told my mother and I of this premonition. And it apparently revolves around this forest."

"So a really rare item is down here? Like what?" Karrablast wondered.

"Why don't we find out? I'm game to get my paws dirty." Litleo grinned, up for this offer. He had his paws ready to dig through the ground.

"Should we get a Ground-Type Pokemon for this?" Makuhita asked.

"Hold it. First, we'll need the coordinates before we can start digging. It must be perfectly aligned." said Dottler as he walked past them. "Follow me."

"Can't we just dig in any direction?" Litleo grumbled as they all followed him. All the while, Delphox had listened to everything that Gothitelle had said, no matter how long.

"For absolute perfection and little margin for error." Gothitelle finished her rambling at last. It was a lengthy one for Delphox, that's for sure.

"Well, that's understandable." Delphox nodded. "Over at my hut, I'm doing something similar. Maybe not to those extremes. I focus on all sorts of things, including magic."

"Would you be so kind as to show me your hut?"

"Yes! You'll be amazed by what's in there. I'm sure little Dottler would also-" Delphox was ready to face the Radome Pokemon, only to find that he was gone, along with Litleo, Karrablast and Makuhita. "Dottler? Children?"

"Hm. Seems as if he has ventured off with those three. About them. They seem to have suspicions about me." Gothitelle brought out the more serious and judgemental subject.

"Oh, don't worry about that. They're just a bit spooked, that's all. Hopefully, they don't cause any trouble." Delphox chuckled, worrying about what the trio might end up causing with Dottler tagging along.

Normal-Type section.

The group had arrived at the Normal-Type part of the forest. They had followed Dottler since he was smart enough to have the coordinates to where he believed this item was hiding.

"Here. The premonition from Xatu spoke of this spot in the forest," said Dottler. "Our rare item should be exactly below this spot and obtainable."

"I still don't get why we need it? Does it do anything for us?" Makuhita asked.

"If it's rare then it has to." The Lion Cub Pokemon then turned to the Guts Pokemon. "Maybe it's something tasty! Or even valuable! Or it'll make us stronger!"

"Oh! Maybe it can make evolve instantly into an Escavalier!" Karrablast gasped, imaging himself as his final evolution and absolute best. They all had their own ideas on what it could be.

"Hm. Feeling rather peckish at the moment. And I've forgotten my Lum Berry. You three hold on for a moment." Dottler walked off before digging below the ground. He would grab himself a quick snack while the trio looked at the ground.

"So. Do any of us know Dig?" Karrablast questioned.

"I can just dig normally with my paws. I mean, mom's pretty good at it. I can also use Strength if that works." Litleo answered.

"I only know Arm Thrust, Focus Energy and Sand Attack," Makuhita said out his only known moves. None of them had a move that a Ground-Type move. Litleo had his paws and Makuhita could deal some damage to the ground with Arm Thrust and increase that damage with Focus Energy.

As they wondered what their next course of action would be, popping out of the bushes unexpectedly, scaring the three Pokemon, was a Hakamo-o.

"Graaah!" Hakamo-o bellowed, raising his arms while appearing before the children and the nearby Normal-Type Pokemon. Not only that, one good look and they had also noticed that same blue aura around Hakamo-o's eyes.

"That aura again!" Litleo gasped. "Gothitelle!"

"Ow...!" Hakamo-o held his head as he started attacking just like Heracross did earlier. The Normal-Type Pokemon backed away at the sudden arrival of the Scaly Pokemon. Litleo was feeling brave again like before, not fearing the Dragon-Fighting-Type in front of him.

"We'll just snap him back to it like with what Ms Delphox did! ANd I'll be cool like my dad!" Litleo let out a cute roar before lunging at Hakamo-o.

"Wait! Litleo!" Karrablast cried out but it was too late. He already made up his mind. Litleo had used Strength, covering his body with the best his strength could muster as he swung his paw at maximum power.

A direct hit. Hakamo-o had been smacked in the face by Litleo's strength. Unfortunately, it didn't do that much damage to the Scaly Pokemon. But it did make him close his eyes and push him back a bit. Litleo felt like he was getting somewhere. However, right after that hit, Hakamo-o growled, retaliating.

The Scaly Pokemon had countered by using Counter, fittingly. He whacked the Lion Cub Pokemon away with his tail, returning the damage he had already taken.

"Ough!" Litleo cried out as he certainly felt that. A super-effective hit on the Normal-Fire-Type as he crashed into Makuhita. Thankfully, his big-boned friend had the defence to take the impact. But that didn't mean Makuhita wasn't immune to the crash as they both fell over.

"Hey!" Karrablast was definitely tilted from that as he faced Hakamo-o with the cutest furious face he could make. To return the favour, the Clamping Pokemon ran up to the Scaly Pokemon with Headbutt at his disposal.

Karrablast lowered his head as his horn started glowing white. Hakamo-o looked down to notice another little Pokemon attacking him. And with swift movements, Karrablast headbutted the Scaly Pokemon in the face. Right with the horn as well. Hakamo-o growled from that as he was pushed back once more.

But his recovery was swift, soon grabbing Karrablast's horn right after the headbutt. He now had the Bug-Type in his grasp, much to the dismay of Karrablast.

"Uh...Ehehehe..." A nervous Karrablast chuckled, trying to ease his way out of this. But with how Hakamo-o was feeling, that seemed impossible. The Scaly Pokemon was ready to use Dragon Breath on the Clamping Pokemon with a purple draconic aura forming around his mouth.

"Ugh...!" But, Hakamo-o was so befuddled, he could barely focus. He then held his head, trying to keep his focus. "It hurts..."

"Aha! Take this!" And with Hakamo-o distracted, along came Litleo with a swift Take Down. He smashed his head onto Hakamo-o's stomach, causing the Scaly Pokemon to open his eyes. Again, barely much damage, but it was felt. And at this rate, if they keep piling on damage, they could eventually take Hakamo-o out.

"Sorry about this!" Karrablast then attacked by using Acid Spray, shooting out an acidic fluid from his mouth. The fluid landed on Hakamo-o's face as it did some considerable damage. After all, it is acid, despite how small the attack looked.

"Gagh!" Hakamo-o moved back, holding his face from the acid. Litleo then slid back, following up with another attack as Karrablast had been dropped. The Lion Cub Pokemon then used Fire Spin, sending an intense spiral of fire. The attack was not very effective as it had consumed the Scaly Pokemon.

Hakamo-o roared as he blew the fire away with ease. He looked truly furious, giving a cold and serious stare to the trio of Pokemon. He wasn't going down anytime soon. Litleo and the others gulped, soon realizing how outmatched they were at the moment.

"Run," Litleo said as the trio then bolted off, not wanting to be smacked around by a Psuedo-Legendary Pokemon. Soon after, Hakamo-o would chase them down. And poor Makuhita was too slow to keep up with his friends.

Dottler returned with his Lum Berry, seeing that his new friends had left the area and the destruction caused by a short-lived Pokemon Battle. Now no one was here to help him dig. "Drat."

Hakamo-o was naturally faster than all three of them as he caught up immediately. His first target was Makuhita as he had a Dragon Breath brewing. Makuhita tried putting more muscle into his bones, trying to gain a burst of speed. Not before Hakamo-o used Dragon Breath, exhaling a mighty gust of draconic energy.

The blast hit the ground near Makuhita, launching the Guts Pokemon via an explosion. Makuhita went flying forward, going ahead of his friends, but resulting in a crash landing, right onto a tree.

"Oof!" Makuhita cried out before hitting the tree.

"Makuhita!" His friends cried out as Hakamo-o then lunged into the air, having a Mega Punch ready for them. With a mighty roar, the Scaly Pokemon thrust his fist downwards, ready to smash it onto the two of them.

But it was promptly stopped by a Psychic barrier. A Psychic barrier that was formed by Delphox who had her wand out. "That's enough!"

"Ms Delphox!" They both said."

"Huh?" Hakamo-o looked at Delphox, still feeling enraged. Delphox saw the blue eyes once more as she had used Signal Beam yet again. This time, by covering her body in the flashing lights of Signal Beam. Hakamo-o gazed at the lights as they were enough to break away the blue colouring around his eyes.

Just like Heracross.

"Oh..." Hakamo-o groaned as he fell to the ground, feeling dazed from that. Delphox helped him up, knowing this wasn't by Hakamo-o's own will. "Ms Delphox...."

"There, there. You're okay now. Can you recall what had happened?"

"I don't remember. All I saw were blue eyes looking at me funny. And then this happened..." He held his head as Litleo and Karrablast helped their friend off the tree.

"Yet another attack?" Gothitelle had shown up to the scene with the trio gasping, knowing that this was their chance to say something about Gothitelle and what she's been doing.

"Aha!" Litleo exclaimed as he rushed over here with his friends. "The jig is up, Gothitelle!"

"I beg your pardon?" She raised her non-existent eyebrow.

"Litleo? Not now." Delphox was afraid that Litleo and his friends would mock Gothitelle for her creepy appearance and make a scene.

"No, Ms Delphox. It's not about the look. She's been mind-controlling Heracross and Hakamo-o!" Litleo exclaimed as Gothitelle pulled back.

"Uh-huh!" Karrablast nodded his entire body. "She even has the same blue eyes! She was saying something when controlling Heracross back there! We uh...we couldn't tell."

"Gothitelle, is this true?" Delphox asked while standing up with Hakamo-o.

"Absolutely not." She scoffed with disdain. "These children and their absurd assumptions. Although, one thing is true. My eyes do illuminate a vibrant blue. As so." The Astral Body Pokemon then demonstrated by using Psychic, lifting Litleo from the ground with her eyes glowing blue.

"Woah!" Litleo gasped as Gothitelle pulled him over.

"Even so, that is a common colour for Psychic-Type Pokemon aside for pink or purple. And besides, why do you think I was speaking in that instance?"

"To give Heracross orders, duh!" Litleo responded despite being in the face of someone he was intimidated by.

"Wrong. I was trying to break the Psychic hold on Heracross. Someone else was using Psychic." Gothitelle kissed her teeth while Litleo snarled. "And besides. If it was me, the Pokemon wouldn't be rampaging in such a callous and disorganized manner."

"...They wouldn't?" Litleo squinted his eyes as he could believe that.

"No. A Psychic control such as that would never belong to one as experienced and skilled as myself." Gothitelle said. And as she said that a tall burst of smoke had erupted nearby, grabbing everyone's attention.

Now they all had to see this for themselves. Delphox quickly ran over while Gothitelle dropped Litleo on his head, following the Fox Pokemon. Litleo groaned, holding his head as Makuhita helped him up. The trio of pre-evolved Pokemon then followed after Delphox and Gothitelle to see what caused that explosion of smoke. And once they got there, they found something surprising.

Dottler and a Chesnaught

"Dottler?!" Gothitelle gasped as Dottler was currently on the head of a Chesnaught. This Chesnaught also had blue eyes, indicating another control. And this time, it was made clear who was behind it. Dottler. Right below, there was a large hole that had been made. Most likely from Chesnaught. And it was a deep hole.

Not only that, but Dottler had some sort of helmet with 18 spheres in each hole. And it fits perfectly on his head as well as he started chuckling. Litleo, Karrablast and Makuhita had their jaw drop after what they were seeing.

"Hello, teacher."

"What is the meaning of this?!" Gothitelle questioned.

"And what's that on your head?!" Litleo asked.

"What I was searching for. One of the many items randomly scattered across the worlds ever since the Rift arrived. Just what Xatu foresaw. This beauty of an object used to belong to a place known as the Pokemon Black Market. Behold! The Protean Helmet!"

"Protean...Helmet?" Delphox tilted her head.

"With this helmet, I have full control over all types. Dragon, Ghost, Flying, Poison, Bug, doesn't matter! I have become a great and powerful Dottler! And soon, the Apex Predator beyond all other Pokemon! The World's...no...Universe's Strongest Pokemon!"

"...How did we get here?" Makuhita wondered.

"This was underneath the forest the whole time? And you were just after that alone?" Delphox gasped.

"You foolish boy! And here I thought I taught you well." Gothitelle walked up to her student. "Even if you do become the Apex Predator, you aren't indestructible considering what you are. If anything, you're just a downgrade of Arceus himself."

"Arceus? Pah! Only a fool would believe in such a Pokemon. You're not as smart as I thought...teacher!" Dottler cackled as he used the Dark-Type sphere. Out of his eyes, he shot out a makeshift Dark Pulse, striking his own teacher with it in the chest.

"Agh!" Gothitelle cried out as she flew back from it.

"Gothitelle!" Delphox ran over to the Astral Body Pokemon as all the other nearby Pokemon gasped.

"So it was you this whole time?!" Karrablast gasped.

"Indeed. And controlling the Fighting-Types was the way to go. They're so weak to Psychic it's pitiful. Now! Attack! Claim this forest for me as I will soon reign supreme!" Dottler ordered Chesnaught. And thanks to the Protean Helmet, Dottler's Psychic control was greater than before.

"Yes sir!" Chesnaught responded as he obeyed Dottler's every command. Dottler was also aiming to control the rest of the Pokemon as well. The Spiny Armor Pokemon started attacking everyone around him, charging at full force.

However, there were Pokemon that could fight back this time. Jumping in the way was a Krokorok that had used Facade. Its caws met with Chesnaught, but unfortunately, it wasn't strong enough.

Chesnaught immediately smacked the Desert Croc Pokemon with a swift and heavy Hammer Arm. Other Pokemon started attacking from afar, using ranged moves of different varieties. Since most of this area had Normal-Type Pokemon, they had a ton of moves to choose from. The biggest movepool out of every other type after all.

Chesnaught blocked these incoming attacks with his signature move. Spiky Shield. All the while, Dottler used his helmet to amplify his Psychic capabilities. He then used Psychic on some nearby Pokemon, putting them under his control. Now there were more Pokemon that fought for his side. This time they were Normal-Types instead of Fighting-Types.

They attacked their fellow Normal-Type Pokemon and the other Pokemon that came to help stop Dottler's actions. There was soon a battle between two sides as Delphox helped Gothitelle up.

"Ugh...That foolish boy." Gothitelle groaned as she stood up. "Without that helmet, he's just my novice student in the end."

"All we have to do is get it off of him. Easy as that," said Delphox.

"I can do that!" Litleo suddenly ran ahead, deciding to be the biggest Pokemon here as he was going for Dottler.

"Ah! Litleo!" Delphox knew that Litleo would do something like this. But she was too late to stop him again. The Lion Cub Pokemon ran up the shield of Chesnaught, using him as a platform as he had approached Dottler.

"Hey, Dottler!" Litleo cried out, alerting the Radome Pokemon. Before Dottler knew it, Litleo had punched on him, pushing the Bug-Psychic-Type off. Not quit removing the helmet.

He and Dottler tumbled on the ground afterwards, avoiding the incoming ranged attacks from other Pokemon. Dottler used his Psychic power to push the Lion Cub Pokemon off, recovering afterwards.

"You have no power here, Litleo," Dottler said while Litleo snarled. "As for me. I have all the power I need!" Out of one of the spheres, Dottler used the Water-Type option. A giant blast of water came flying out, the equivalent to either Scald or Hydro Pump.

Litleo dodged it by running to the side. However, Dottler kept the attack up, forcing the blast of water to follow the Lion Cub Pokemon. He was swift enough for sure. The Normal-Fire-Type then opened his mouth, shooting out a Fire Spin. Unfortunately, Dottler had used the blast of water to block this from happening. Not only did he block the flames, but the blast of water overpowered them, heading for Litleo.

"Oh!" Litleo gasped as he had been hit by the blast of water. It had sent him flying, pushing the Lion Cub Pokemon against a rock in the process while also dealing super-effective damage. Litleo groaned before rolling on the ground. Dottler just laughed afterwards, walking up to the Lion Cub Pokemon.

But he was soon interrupted by one of his friends. Along came Karrablast with Headbutt. With his horn, Karrablast had smashed his head onto the Radome Pokmo pushing him away, Unfortunately, Dottler was still lightweight.

"Litleo! Are you okay?!" Karrablast soon turned to his friend after the Headbutt.

"Inferior Bug! Begone! Dottler bellowed as he used the Rock-Type option. He summoned a giant boulder from the helmet, shooting it at the Clamping Pokemon.

But if Litleo had friends who came here to help him, that went for all of his friends. Especially Makuhita. Jumping in the way was the Guts Pokemon, using his body as a shield, plush his resistance to Rock. The boulder shattered upon meeting Makuhita.

"Ow, that stings..." But he still felt the impact either way. Litleo went up to his friends as they stood side by side. They had one goal. Take that helmet off and this will all be over.

As for the other side and their constant battling, Delphox and Gothitelle had teamed up as fellow Psychic-Types. And they stood before Chesnaught to do so. Chesnaught went up to them with Thunder Punch, only to be met with the ground as the two of them had slid away.

Delphox had used Mystical Fire with her wand, covering her fellow Kalos Starter in a blast of magical flames. Chesnaught winced from that as he used Spiky Shield to get rid of some of the damage. But then there was Gothitelle.

The Astral Body Pokemon had used Psychic, raising the Spiny Armor Pokemon from the ground. She then slammed Chesnaught to the ground like a hammer to a nail. All the while, Chesnaught still had Spiky Shield up. But he couldn't keep it up for long.

Gothitelle slammed him up and down repeatedly with Psychic, showing no signs of stopping. Even Chesnaught couldn't handle all of that as he broke out of his Spiky Shield. That allowed Delphox to go in front for an attack. The Fox Pokemon rushed in, creating two Mystical Fires with her wand and hand.

Chesnaught gasped as he quickly retaliated with a Mud Shot, shooting out a blob of mud from his hands. Delphox had been promptly stopped by Mud Shot with the mud pushing her away. Gothitelle caught her fellow Psychic-Type thankfully.

Chesnaught then ran in, ready to deliver a powerful Thunder Punch to both of them. Delphox and Gothitelle then both smiled at the same time, putting their hands out. Delphox tossed her wand into the air before doing so.

At the same time, Delphox used Psychock while Gothitelle used Psychic. Two powerful Psychic-Type moves had pushed Chesnaught back. The Spiny Armour Pokemon went flying like a rocket after taking super-effective damage two times in one hit.

And for a flashy finish, Delphox grabbed her wand which still had Mystical Fire. The Fox Pokemon aimed the wand at Chesnaught who was still dying. Gothitelle assisted in this by adding a Psychic aura around the wand.

"Here goes!" Delphox unleashed a mixture of Mystical Fire and Psychic, sending a red and blue blast. It travelled faster than light, easily catching up to Chesnaught. The Grass-Fighting-Type shook his head, but it was too late.

A direct hit. And the rest was an outburst of red and blue explosive energy. Enough to take out Chesnaught. 4x super-effective after all. Chesnaught had fallen out of the smoke, not only fainting but breaking out of Dottler's control.

"Yes!" Delphox cheered as she suddenly hugged Gothitelle. Gothitelle winced from this sudden hug before rolling her eyes. But, she did enjoy the victory as well.

As for Dottler, he was dealing with Litleo, Karrablast and Makuhita. Despite the power of that helmet, Dottler was still a glass cannon like them. All they needed was one strong hit and that was it for the Radome Pokemon.

Dottler had grabbed both Litleo and Makuhita with strings. Right from the Bug-Type option. The strings were incredibly thick, wrapping around them a few times. Along came Karrablast, using Bug Bite to rip apart the strings.

After freeing his friends, he and Litleo attacked as Litleo used Fire Spin and Karrablast used Acid Spray. Dottler used the Dragon-Type option to make a draconic face that had chewed the flames and acid with ease. As if they were breakfast.

"What's wrong?! Can't get a simple helmet off my head?!" Dottler mocked. Makuhita charged up some of his power with Focus Energy while Litleo charged headfirst with Strength in store.

The Lion Cub Pokemon swung his paw, only to be met with a spike from the Steel-Type option. Litleo's paw smashed the spike, causing him to hurt himself. But he ended up knocking the spike away thankfully. Karrablast jumped over his friend, using Acid Spray once more. Dottler used the spike to cancel out the Acid Spray, utilizing Steel's immunity to Poison.

The Radome Pokemon then used the Flying-Type option, creating a spiral of wind that blew his fellow Bug-Type Pokemon back. Karrablast crashed into a tree with it. Not only that, but the tree started falling over. Litleo saved his friend with an immediate Fire Spin, burning the tree away.

Dottler then decided to use two types in one attack. One was a Water-Type attack and the other a Fire-Type attack. A blast of fire and water went flying, focusing on Litleo and Karrablast. But being best friends, they had the same idea.

"Swap!" Litleo cried out as he and Karrablast swapped places. Litleo took the Fire attack, resisting it, while Karrablast took the Water attack. He didn't resist it. It was neutral but he was still alright.

"I'm ready!" Makuhita had finished charging up as he was at his absolute best with Focus Energy.

"Then go get him big guy!" Litleo grinned as he smashed his head onto Makuhita's back with Strength. One good hit and the Guts Pokemon was launched towards the Radome Pokemon.

"Woah!" Makuhita wailed whilst flying through the air.

"Insolent pudgy dull-minded Fighting-Type! Out of my sight!" Dottler was ready to end this with one powerful Psychic-Type move.

But that didn't happen thanks to a distraction from Litleo. A quick Fire Spin forced Dottler to block the incoming flame with a water shield. But that prompted Makuhita to strike at the right moment.

He used Arm Thrust, smashing both of his arms through the shield. One strike through and they smashed the helmet itself. Since it was underneath the earth for a while, it was weak. All it needed was one good hit to be no more. And that's what happened. Makuhita's Arm Thrust had shattered the Protean Helmet into bits. Right before Dottler's eyes.

"No!" Dottler gasped in shock. He didn't expect it to just break in one hit. With that stun and stagger of shock, it allowed Liteo to get the final hit in. And a strong and swift Take Down was what did it.

He bashed himself onto the Bug-Psychic-Type, knocking him down while also receiving some recoil damage from it. But it was worth it. The helmet had been destroyed with the spheres falling out as Dottler had fainted.

"Curse you...inferior types."

5 minutes later.

After all that was said and done, the Pokemon that were being controlled by Dottler were freed after the helmet was destroyed. As for the spheres, Delphox picked them all up along with the Combee.

Dottler himself was standing before his teacher. One very disappointed and furious Gothitelle. With the failure of his plan, he knew the worst was about to come his way.

"I apologize for my student everyone. If I had known he had ulterior motives and wanted to be taught by me for a different reason, I would've acted sooner." Gothitelle said. "Apex Predator, are you ridiculous?"

"I could've been..."

"Never in a million years. Not with that behaviour." Gothitelle picked Dottler up, squeezing his head. "I'll be sure to straighten you up while we're in this forest. I can tell there are some Pokemon who would rather skip out on chores. Perhaps you can assist with that."

"Ow-ow-ow! I yield! I concede!" Dottler cried out after being grabbed.

"Ms Gothitelle. Sorry for doubting you." Litleo lowered his head. "My bad..."

"Apology accepted little one. But...you have a knack for sensing danger, don't you? Don't let that falter. Train up your senses, understood?" Gothitelle suddenly gave a smile. And it was actually a beautiful smile. Beyond that crooked face is something glorious. And Litleo's eyes lit up from that.

"Y-Yes ma'am!"

"I'll have Queen Vespiquen decide what to do with these spheres. Until then! Everyone enjoy your stay here at Frenzy Forest!" Delphox cheered as all the other Pokemon cheered with her.

In truth, this was just another day in Frenzy Forest. Nothing too crazy.

Canterlot. Afternoon.

"What do you believe the Pokemon in Frenzy Forest do, exactly?" Luna wondered looking outside the window with Celestia by her side.

"Meh. Who knows? Every Pokemon has their own story, don't they?"

As the journey continues.

Chapter 514 End.
