Episode 6: The Blue Stone of Ouroboros

Please, don't cry little bro.

Those monster's took away mommy and daddy.

I know, but they wouldn't want you to be sad. They want you to be strong.

I know.

So give me a smile.

A giant meteor fell in the middle east. Ever since then, strange things have been happening. Jim also known as Agent Jay, a messenger from the Paris branch of Monster Attack Service, arrived. According to him and the Paris Headquarters, the Turkish and Indian branches sent research parties, but all are missing. Paris HQ is finally asking the Equus branch to move out.

“At last!” Rainbow Dash called out excitedly, “Paris HQ are asking us to move out!”

“We know, the narrator said so already,” Pinkie said as she slipped her milkshake, trying to pretend to be unimpressed and not interested.

“Okay, I’m ready to go anywhere, from Arabia to the desert!” Rainbow remarked.

“Rainbow!” Celestia said sternly.

“Yes, Commander?” Rainbow asked.

“This isn’t a simple case,” Commander Celestia said, “so shut up and listen.”

“Oh,” Rainbow sighed.

“The Paris HQ team went fully equipped,” Agent Jay told them, “but they disappeared.”

“Oh my,” Derpy replied.

“And even after such a loss,” commented Vice-Commander Luna, “we still don’t know why.”

“Hmm,” agreed Celestia, “Agent Jay where did the meteor land?”

Agent Jay pulled out a map and pointed to the spot of where the meteor crashed. “Here. This is the mystery point,” he said, “where the Lost City of Ouroboros, a place where no man has set foot. Lies!”

“Ok! Move out!” Commander Celestia told her team.

“Roger!” The Rainbooms replied. Then went off the changing into the right uniform.

“Miss Solus,” Agent Jay said, “I will join you. I have orders form my HQ.”

“Agent Jay, thank you,” Commander Celestia said shaking his hand, “we’re counting on you.”

The Rainbooms came back in the right uniform. “We’re ready!” Sunrise said.

Soon everyone was set and ready and were in the Pegasus. The ship took off and set off to the desert. They flew over mountains and seas, as Agent Jay pulled out a map.

“There’s 100 KM to the mystery point,” he said as the grew nodded.

“Lyra, Bon-Bon, this is the Pegasus,” Rainbow said into the radio, “We are about to enter the mystery point. Despite that, the weather is clear and…”

“Rainbow, forget that report and focus on your surroundings!” Applejack snapped.

“This is Lyra,” came Lyra voice on the radio, “best of luck.” Then suddenly a loud static sound came over the radio, it hurt Rainbow’s ears and she took of her headphones.

“Oh, Commander, look!” Sunrise said pointing ahead.

Everyone looked out to see some sort of wall of light beaming up into the sky.

“Rainbow, turn of the radio,” Celestia told her.

“Yes ma’am,” Rainbow followed her command.

“Sunrise, gat away from that wall of light,” Celestia ordered.

Sunrise tried to turn away, but he couldn’t, “I can’t control it,” he grunted. Everyone looked at the wall of light nervously.

“Sunrise,” Celestia said sternly, “head straight for that wall of light!”

“WHAT?!” the other Rainbooms shouted.

“Commander have you lost your mind?!” Twilight cried.

“Look,” Celestia told them, “the wall of light is coming from below. The only way out is to ascend. Sunrise hurry!”

“Yes Ma’am,” he said as he pulled at the wheel, the Pegasus flew up and over the wall of light. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. “It’s because we tried to run that the controls didn’t work,” remarked Sunrise.

“That’s a power magnetic beam,” commented Sunset.

“I think the only way to make it was to use its pull to ascend,” said Celestia, “and it worked.”

“Oh no!” panicked Sunrise, “it looks like the magnetic beam damaged the engine.”

Physics kicked in, and the Pegasus started to fall to the ground. They hit the ground, bounced twice, and started to spin around in a circle, finally they stopped. But everyone was out of it.

“Pegasus, Pegasus, please respond! please respond!” Lyra called on the radio, “This is HQ, Pegasus, please respond!”

“What’s happened?! What’s wrong?!” Bon-Bon’s voice cried.

“Sister?! Sunrise?!” Luna’s voice joined in, “Sunrise! Sunrise!”

Upon hearing his name being called Sunrise slowly woke up, clutching his head. He looked around then heard the radio call out. “Can you hear me?!” Luna’s voice came through again, “Pegasus, please respond!”

“This is the Pegasus! Vice-Commander!” Sunrise answered, “Hey can anyone hear me?! Auntie!”

One by one, the other became to come to, “Hey! Hey!” Sunrise pushes them to awaken them.

“Hey Jay,” Rarity asked as she rubbed her head, “are you ok?”

“Is everyone alright?” Celestia asked then she saw that Rainbow’s forehead was bleeding, “Fluttershy see to Rainbow.”

“Yes Ma’am,” Fluttershy said as she got out a med kit, she then wiped away the blood on Rainbow’s forehead.

“Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!” Rainbow cried before trying to sound tough, “doesn’t hurt, doesn’t hurt.”

Fluttershy then wrapped a bandage around her head, “Ow, ow, own, own!” Rainbow cried again.

“Stop whining!” Fluttershy told her.

“Part of the engine and the radio is damaged,” Twilight said.

“What?! The radio is damaged?!” Rainbow said as her head began to hurt again.

“Sit still,” Fluttershy responded.

“With the radio down, it looks like we are among the missing as well,” Celestia said.

“The Lost City of Ouroboros should be close by,” Agent Jay said, “let’s walk there.”

“Huh?! Walk?!” Rainbow blurted.

“Let’s just look around,” Sunset suggested, “we might find something.”

“Ok,” Celestia agreed, “Rainbow you can’t walk, so you help Twilight and Applejack fix the radio. Rarity, Sunset, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Sunrise, Jay, come with me.”

“Yes, ma’am,” they replied.

“Oh come on!” Rainbow pleaded, “take me with you!”

“Rainbow, this Pegasus is out HQ now,” Celestia told her, “we need the radio fixed in order to send a reports. We need your skills to help Twilight and Applejack.”

“Ok,” Rainbow said defeated.

Celestia, Jay, and the remaining Rainbooms walked around the desert, they came over a hill, when Rarity’s Geiger counter started clicking.

“Oh, there’s a response on the Geiger counter!” she said.

“Yeah the narrator just said that,” Pinkie remarked as she pulled a cookie out her hair and took a bit.

“What?” Celestia said, completely ignoring what Pinkie said. The group continued to walk until Rarity saw the cause.

“Commander, look,” she said as she pointed to a huge meteor.

“This must be the meteorite that fell,” she commented.

“It’s huge,” Pinkie said.

Celestia was checking Rarity’s Geiger counter, when something clicked, “Wait, this meteorite shouldn’t have the ability to emit magnetic beams,” she said.

“Then what made that wall of light?” Sunset asked.

“I don’t know,” Celestia replied. As Pinkie tapped the meteor, a high pitch roar could be heard.

Back at the Pegasus, Rainbow, Twilight and Applejack heard it too. “What was that?” Applejack said.

“It wasn’t me,” Rainbow responded.

“I don’t know,” replied Twilight, as they got back to work.

Not far from the Pegasus, a geyser of sand shot in the air, then something big started to tunnel towards the Pegasus. Rainbow smacked her head to clear the noise from her ears but ended up hurting herself. She was just tightening something up, we she looked out the window as screamed. Twilight and Applejack looked up to why Rainbow screamed and saw a giant beetle head. All three where so scared, that they grabbed their helmets and ran out the Pegasus.

“Commander! A monster!” Rainbow screamed.

Celestia and everyone heard Rainbow cried out and ran back to see what was wrong. Rainbow, Twilight and Applejack ran down the hill as Rainbow tripped and the other two fell over her. The rest ran up the hill as Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie helped their friends up.

“Rainbow, where’s the monster?!” Sunset asked.

“Over there!” She pointed back.

“What?!” Sunset asked.

“Where?” Sunrise remarked.

“Oh come on,” Rainbow moaned.

“It was there really!” confirmed Applejack.

“We thought it was our ears ringing but it was a monster,” Twilight told them.

“Commander!” Sunrise called out, the group came to him, “Commander, look!” everyone looked down into a pit, where the remains of the Pegasus lay.

“I’ll check it out,” said Applejack.

“Okay, be careful,” Celestia told her.

“Roger,” Applejack carefully made her way down the hill, but then she accidently slipped into a hole.

“Applejack!” the Rainbooms cried out, “are you ok?”

“HELP!” she called out. Sunrise through some rope into for her to grab. Applejack caught it and wrapped it around her hands for a better grip.

The Rainboom managed to pull her out of the hole, just as a geyser of sand shot up out from the pit, and the beetle monster’s head appeared.

The monster screeched as Celestia shot at it with Applejack’s Delta Cannon. This only seem to annoy the monster. “Hurry up!” called Celestia to the Rainbooms. They had just gotten Applejack back to them. When the monster had enough, pointed it’s head to the sky and emitted its magnetic beam. “That’s it!” Celestia said, “that’s the source of the wall of light.” Suddenly the Delta Cannon was yanked out of Celestia hands.

“Oh no!” Applejack cried, “my Delta Cannon.”

“Dammit, you bastard!” called out Rainbow.

“Hey watch out! Retreat! Retreat!” Celestia told them.

“Roger!” the Rainbooms ran back over the hill as the monster tunnelled back underground.

The Rainbooms continued the run away, when it started to get misty. Presently, could see a city in within the mist.

“What’s that?” Pinkie asked.

“Oh, its Ouroboros!” Twilight exclaimed, “It’s the lost city of Ouroboros!”

The mist cleared up, and the Rainbooms got a better look at the city. They walked to the entrance of the city. “It really is Ouroboros,” Jay said.

“Ok, let’s go in,” Celestia said, the Rainbooms nodded, and they walked in cautiously.

Ouroboros is a city that appear in old legends. This city was once large and prosperous, but now, it’s become a ghost town that doesn’t appear on any maps. Some scholars even say that it doesn’t exist.

“Look at that,” Jay said, “That mountain is Mt. Devourer.”

“Mt. Devourer?” Rainbow asked.

“Oh, the place where its said that the five tribes united,” Twilight responded, “what the tribes were of, I forgotten.

The group continued to look around the ghost town, they soon reached then gates of a castle.

“Look, the grand castle gates,” Applejack said, then the group heard something.

“What’s that?” Rarity asked.

“It sounds like a flute,” Fluttershy answered.

“Over there,” Twilight said as the group rounded a corner, and where greeted by a very unexpected sight.

They saw people standing in front of some houses. But they where people, they were snakes. They were forgotten race of snake people called, the Serpentine. A green snake with fangs and four eyes was playing the flute. More Serpentine started to appear around another corner.

“Twilight, can you speak their language?” Celestia asked softly.

“I can speak a little,” Twilight replied.

Twilight tried to speak to them, but they seemed to not understand her.

“I they can’t understand me,” Twilight said, “they don’t see to speak any language that I know.”

“Jay, do you know what they are saying?” Celestia asked.

Jay just shrugged, he had no idea either.

“Aspheera,” said a voice.

“Aspheera?” Celestia asked, the Serpentine all seemed to bow as a new comer slithered up from the castle. She was blue and resembled a cobra. The Rainbooms looked at each other then turned back to the new comer. One of the Serpentine came closer to her.

Rainbow, Rarity and Applejack looked at each other, “Beauty and the Monster, huh?” said Rainbow, “What’s going on here?”

“Who are you?” Sunrise asked.

“My name is Aspheera,” the snake replied.

“Hey, English,” Pinkie responded.

“Yeah,” Twilight said, “have you been to America?”

Aspheera shook her head, “I’ve never left this city. I’ve never met an American person before.”

“Then how do you know English?” asked Celestia.

“I have the power to read what is in your heads,” Aspheera replied.

“Oh, ESP,” Jay remarked.

Aspheera nodded, “this power is passed down only in my bloodline. Long ago, everyone had this ability. Back then, this city flourished as a trading post on the Scale Road. But, one day, people suddenly stopped coming. People and snakes who left this city never returned. It’s because of Antlar. Snakes slowly dwindled in numbers and before long, the city became the lost city of Ouroboros.”

“Antlar?” Sunrise asked.

“it’s a terrible monster,” Aspheera replied.

“So that monster has been here since that long ago?” asked Sunset.

Aspheera nodded, “then what makes the monster not attack the city?” asked Twilight.

“Because of our God, Noa’s protection,” Aspheera replied.

“You god, ‘Noa’?” Celestia asked, “Jay, could she mean Noah for Noah’s ark?”

“Yes, I was just thinking that,” Jay replied.

“This way,” Aspheera said as she lead the team to a shrine. The Serpentine watched them walk away.

The group followed Aspheera into the shrine, inside a carpet led to a pair of closed curtains. Aspheera did a small pray and slithered to the curtains. She opened them and behind them was a statue of an Ultra that resembled Scorn. A main difference being was the spikes on its back and the very different colour timer. It was also holding a blue stone.

“Is that Ultraman Scorn?” Pinkie asked.

“It looks like him,” Twilight replied.

“But what is he doing here?” Applejack questioned.

Aspheera nodded and slithered closer to the statue. “Our God, Noa,” she hissed, “this blue stone protects us from Antlar.”

“That stone?” Rainbow stated, “I wonder why.”

“Certainly Darling,” Rarity replied.

“It might be some kind of charm,” Fluttershy said.

“So, Noa was an alien,” said Sunset.

“Five thousand years ago, Scorn’s ancestors appeared on earth,” Twilight said, “and fought for mankind’s peace then, too.”

“Yes. For humanity,” Celestia spoke up, “Ultraman just might be an important God of peace.”

Suddenly they all heard a screech and the ground started to shake. Then they all heard screaming from the Serpentine. “Antlar!” a two head red snake shrieked, “Antlar! Antlar! Antlar!”

“Okay, let’s go,” Celestia ordered.

“Roger!” the Rainbooms replied.

They all got outside to see a geyser of sand shoot high in and out the castle. The Serpentine coward in fear, as Antlar rose up, destroying a tower as he did.

“At last,” Aspheera said mournfully, “the fated day of Ouroboros’ destruction has arrived.”

Antlar wrecked the castle, he kicked down a wall, knocked down the entrance, and smacked his mandibles into a tower. The Rainbooms all pulled out their Alpha pistols, and on Celestia command, ran towards the beetle monster. All fired their pistols at once, all beams hitting Antlar in the face. But all did nothing but annoy Antlar. Antlar raised his head and emitted his Magnetic beam, this pulled all their weapons away.

Antlar seem to chuckle as he destroyed the remains of the castle. A black serpentine slithered passed everyone, with a staff in hand. The Serpentine pushed passed the Rainbooms, as rubble flew and hit them. The Serpentine fell to the ground.

“Hey! Are you ok?!” Sunrise said as he came to its aid, “Hold on!” He lifted the snake person and carried it to safety, while the rest of the Rainbooms backed up from the falling rubble.

Sunrise placed the serpentine down gently, then stood forward. He raised his hands, and he was transported to the starry nexus. Sunrise raised up her left arm and the coin slots opened up, and in the next second, and pulled the Ultra Coins out.

“Lend me your power, Ultraman!”

{ULTRAMAN}

“Lend me the will of the earth, Gaia!”

{ULTRAMAN GAIA}

“I shall bring peace and harmony to the universe!!”

{RISE ULTRAMAN SCORN SPECIUM PHOTON!}

Everyone looked up as saw Ultraman Scorn standing there. “Oh! Look!” called Rainbow, “It’s Ultraman Scorn.”

Scorn flew off to where Antlar was. “The God, Noa,” Aspheera said, as her and the other Serpentine bowed to their god.

Ultraman landed in front of Antlar and prepared to fight. Antlar dug his pincers in the earth, and blast Ultraman at point blank range with a massive cloud of dust and debris. This temporarily blinded Scorn and gave Antlar the time to borrow underground. Scorn looked around but couldn’t find Antlar, suddenly Antlar appeared from underneath Scorn and made him go flying.

Scorn jumped back up, but Antlar had disappeared again. Scorn looked around and saw dust billow into the air. Antlar head could be see within the dust. Antlar tired to fight another debris blast, but Scorn jumped out the way. Scorn flew in the air, but as Antlar tried to climb out of the ground, Scorn came flying back. Within Scorn, Sunrise to swapped out the Ultraman and Gaia coins for the Seven and Mebius coins.

“Bond me with your weapon, Seven!”

{ULTRASEVEN}

“Bond me with your flame, Mebius!"

{ULTRAMAN MEBIUS}

“With the fire in my heart, I'll burn away the evil!!”

{RISE, ULTRAMAN SCORN BURNING BRAVE!!}

Antlar dug faster and disappeared underground. Scorn landed and looked around to where could pop up. Antlar appeared behind Scorn and used his Magnetic beam on him. Scorn struggled against the beam, he tried to push himself forward, but the beam was too strong. He came closer and closer to Antlar’s pincers, but just before Antlar can close them on him, Scorn ducked down just as the shut.

Scorn grabbed Antlar’s pincers and tried to hold him still. But Antlar fought back, Scorn was using a lot of his energy to hold Antlar’s pincers, so much, that his Colour Timer. The Solar energy that powers Ultraman Scorn is rapidly depleted on earth. When his solar energy is low, his Colour Timer begins to blink. If the Colour Timer would go to ever go out, Scorn with never rise again. Scorn fired his Wide Seven Shot at Antlar, but the monster exoskeleton was thick strong dealing no damage.

Antlar charged forward, but Scorn grabbed his pincers again and held him back. Scorn managed to flip Antlar over, breaking his pincers. Antlar cried out on his back, as Scorn jumped on him and beat him down.

“You can do it!” cried Rainbow. Everyone was getting worried, Scorn’s Colour Timer was blinking faster. “Only 30 seconds left, dammit!” commented Rainbow.

Aspheera knew what she had to do. She slithered back into the shrine and took the stone from the Noa statue. Scorn was struggling to stay up right.

“Take this stone!” she said, giving it to Celestia, “Hurry to Antlar! It is the prophecy of our God, Noa.” Scorn’s Colour Timer was slowing down a bit as he was absorbing some of the sun’s rays.

“All right!” Celestia said as she grabbed the stone, ran close to Antlar, and threw it. It crashed and exploded right on Antlar’s, this cause the monster to screech in pain, and fall forward, finally dead. Scorn breathed heavily, glad that the battle was over.

The Rainbooms and Serpentine were happy. “Our God, Noa!” Aspheera said as she and her snake people bowed to him.

Scorn looked to the sky and took off.

“Commander!” shouted Applejack, “that blue stone must have been brought from space by Ultraman.”

“No, not Ultraman,” Twilight corrected her, “here he’s the God, Noa.”

“Yeah,” Rainbow agreed, then the group heard a voice, “Oh?”

They looked over and saw Sunrise lift the serpentine form earlier over to its people. He carefully place them carefully on a carpet.

“It’s all right,” Sunrise assured the Serpentine, “he’s just fainted.”

“Thank you,” Aspheera said, “Thanks to the blue stone, we were able to defeat Antlar. No it’s the god, Noa’s power. The God, Noa told me to throw the stone against the monster.”

“The blue stone is gone,” Celestia said, “but now, people can return to the city, and it will regain its peace.”

But Aspheera shook her head, “Long ago, the path to Ouroboros was buried in sand,” she said sadly, “travellers will no longer remember this city.”

“That’s not true, Aspheera,” Sunrise assured her.

“No,” Aspheera shot back, “even if travellers come by, they’ll think the city is just a mirage. But we with not leave this city. Ouroboros lives on within our hearts.”

The Rainbooms made their back to the entrance to the city, followed by the Serpentine. The Rainbooms saluted them, and the Serpentine bowed, as the Rainbooms left the city. The got back on the mountain and looked back at the lost city of Ouroboros one more time.

“A mirage city, huh?” Jay remarked, “one more city vanishes from the Earth.”

“And yet, there’s nothing we can do,” Celestia said.

“Miss Solus, our mission is over,” Jay told her, “let’s go.”

One by one, the Rainbooms turned and walked away from Ouroboros, with Sunrise being last.

“Hey Cous,” Sunset said, “let’s go.” Sunrise just nodded.

In the Pegasus number 2 that Vice-Commander brought, the Wondercolts bide farewell to the burning desert.
